I just ate a ten dollar sandwich and I'm still starving. I was lied I and told that their tap was broken and I would have to buy a bottled water; all the while white a snarky attitude. This place is always empty and now I see why.

Terrible espresso. Maybe if you get it flavored or add lots of sugar it might be drinkable.

We stopped in for a quick breakfast after leaving the Visitor Center next door. The gentleman behind the counter was rude and impatient. We ordered breakfast sandwiches which were just ok and priced too high for what we got. We ordered regular coffee which was good but no refills?! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Treat yourself to a McDonald's McMuffin and coffee with all the refills you want.

Happened to go into this place only because it was conveniently located across from the Visitors Center. They said there would be a wait of at least 10 minutes for food. That's a little surprising for a place that you would think would make their money on turnover. We ordered two things for lunch. The special--a chili dog with cheese and a gyro. The gyro was big, but had little meat. The chili dog was huge and had to be eaten with a knife and fork.

The coffee was amazing but the sandwich left something to be desired. The ingredients were good but it was seriously light on the meat. Prices were steep for what I got. I would have been happy with my meal for $6 but $11 was too much for a small black coffee and a sandwich with less than a handful of stale chips. The girl at the counter was nice and the cook brought my food out to me himself.

The service here left something to be desired. After picking up brochures at the Visitor's Center, my friend and I were looking for a place to grab some tea. As we were entering (literally opening the door), a girl dashed in front of us. Turns out she was the one behind the counter. She told us they were only serving cold sandwiches, but didn't mention they were closed/closing soon. We ordered tea and started flipping through brochures. Our tea was still too hot to drink when someone turned off the lights in the cafe. No warning or notice - that was it. So much for southern hospitality!

After an exhausting am at the Children's museum we decided to stop in a near by place to eat. There is limited seating but there are a few tables and what seemed to be a back room to sit in. As we were ordering the line grew but our food was delivered pretty promptly. Unfortunately it was pretty disappointing. I ordered the Turkey Club and even though it was listed with having swiss there was no cheese to be found. The bread was fresh and tasty but the lack of turkey and only two thin strips of bacon left me feeling kind of cheated. Being a pickle fan, I was also bummed that the sandwiches just came with a small pile of chips.

Handy to the visitor center & the Charleston Museum - good for a quick sandwich and a smoothy
