Harborview Salad was completely tasteless. No healthy options that read like you might want to actually consume them. Fried Mac & Cheese was dried out inside resulted in a screeching child. Yay! Server disappeared and we waited 15 minutes over our mostly untouched plates to just get out of there. And it is the same ownership group as Jack's but, your kid absolutely can't get a hot dog there now? The burgers are fine but I'd pick Triangle's grass fed over this.

A sure-fire place for a cold beer. Don't get the food. I have eaten there twice. Turkey burger mediocre. Tried the Bohi Mi pulled pork sandwich which is pre cut in half. Well, one half has maybe a tablespoon of actual pork and the rest carrots. The other half was a tad more pork but still a carrot sandwich. So was going to take half of it home since more into the beer than lunch and ants crawling on top of to go box. The bartender didn't even fake embarrassment. He went to inspect other boxes but came back with no apology, no excuses, no "can I get you any more food since you're out half a sandwich" and not even a comp for my beer or Mojito!! I am from the restaurant industry since birth. Pathetic. And mid day on a Wed so one of 6 customers tops. Like I said, go for the beer and atmosphere.

Ate lunch here one weekend. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were great. We sat outside with our children. My husband had the mushroom Swiss burger and a Bloody Mary. I had the Swiss burger with chicken and a side salad with a mimosa. We will definitely return.

Best burgers ever! Beer prices are a little on the higher side but the food is way affordable so it makes up for it. I've been every night this weekend and haven't had a bad time yet. And our server Michelle was super personable and helped a lot with our selections. Will definitely come back.

32 Beers on tap. All of them are interesting and a lot of great local beer. This place is new but the food is above the board for a pub and the staff are all friendly and knowledgeable, They've worked out the kinks and the place seems to be running as planned. Exactly what this community needs.

Vacationing in the area, found this place a we can't say enough good about it. Fantastic draft and bottle beer selection. We were helped out by Shawn who did a great job making sure orders came out perfect and was very nice and helpful. The food is top notch, all was good. Definitely come here! They have indoor an outdoor areas for cornhole etc.. They also have an outdoor bar connected to inside which is a very cool addition. Ditch your other plan and get to Bohemian Bull!

We just saw this place driving by and went in and had an awesome time here! The food was amazing. Our favorite was the palmetto cheese dip, but the wings and other apps we tried were great also. The decor is very cool and the outside is a great place to hang out.

I've been here 20 plus times and I'd have to say the majority of the time I have come here has been above average to good. Only had one bad experience - it was with a Philly cheese steak that was burnt. It looked good on the hoagie, but as soon as i bit into it, it tasted charred beyond edible. I set it aside uneaten and just had another beer - too my surprise no one asked about the sandwich being uneaten or the quality of the food. But I was asked if I'd like another beer, which was more important at the time. Beers are great, service is good and the food is for the most part consistent. The atmosphere is very bar like, but kids are welcome during the day and love to play in their backyard area. The menu can get old if you go once a week, but I always seem to find something new to try. I really like their build your own burger assortments - just know they do charge extra for lettuce and tomato, that was a first for me. If your not careful it's not hard to hit 15 bucks for a burger if you get creative. On a side note. This place has really good margaritas - it caught me off guard. I rarely drink margaritas out, because of how cheap many establishments have gotten on the ingredients. After a long day at the beach, I order one, when I tried it - I realized it was freshly squeezed lime juice and it was served in a short glass, which I prefer. check this place out. It's a strong 3.5 out 5 and getting better. I just wish they wouldn't charge a dollar for lettuce and tomato.... maybe I'm just cheap.

This place is less than a mile from me. I have eaten here three times. Two out of three times I had a great meal here, the third time it was just poor service and the food wasn't good. What I had that was good- burger with pimento cheese and bacon 8/10 I Forget the other stuff l just remembered being disappointed with it.

Came here kind of randomly one evening after returning home from Folly Beach. Was too hungry to make it home so we made a pit stop here. The decor inside and out is pretty cool. I would imagine it's a great place to enjoy a few drinks during the day outside while playing yard games. But I had already had a few too many that day so my mission was clear. I wanted fried mac and cheese and pulled pork in my mouth stat! Service was fine. Fried mac and cheese was really good. The pulled pork was just average. A little on the soggy side and perhaps a bit too much cole slaw. I've had better. The fries were good though. And my drunk munchies were cured. Overall I'd say this is more like a three and a half star place. I would come back here again but wouldn't go out of my way to do so. But nothing negative to say about the place. Another chill bar like place with average bar food.

Great restaurant and beer garden on James Island! Great selection of beers and the burgers are fantastic! Perfect for a family fall day out. Can't wait to take my kids.

Much needed addition to James Island! My husband and I LOVE the Bull! It's both a relaxed atmosphere AND a happening bar. Choose to sit outside (with or without your four-legged friend), inside near the bar, or inside in the casual dining area. The decor is great. A large bull head gets the attention of young ones right away. Friendly staff with just the right amount of attentiveness. The food is great! Lots of options with a German flare. Menu Highlights: - Fried Okra (best in Charleston) - Giant Bratwurst - Soft Pretzel with Beer Cheese - BRUNCH (biscuits and gravy, french toast, huevos rancheros) They also run some great specials: -Every Wednesday is Build-Your-Own Burger night for $3! -We love the Sunday Brunch. -They also have a really great Thursday night all-you-can-eat oyster special for $15 during the season. Beer selection is out of sight. They have new local specials every month, too. What's not to love?

Bohemian Bull is one of my friend's favorite bars. There is a front patio with bar stool open to the bar, a large bar and loungey area, restaurant section, and a great outdoor space with seating and outdoor games. The bar has a great selection of local beers on tap. We just got a couple appetizers to eat. We got the pretzel that comes with beer cheese and mustard. The pretzel is awesome for anyone who loves soft pretzels. We also got the fried mac and cheese bites that come with a mayo dipping sauce. They were also good. I liked the pretzel better. This is a great bar that's located away from the craziness of the main Folly crowd. It is definitely worth checking out.

Really bad service at the bar. Neither bartender broke a smile at all and I had to flag someone down after their tenth walk by in about 10 minutes without even giving us a side eye.... To be fair, we didn't eat because I didn't want to wait any any longer for service...bartender didn't even offer a menu. My friend loved the atmosphere, though. It actually went something like this: Him: I really like this place! me: CHECK PLEASE. I probably will go back because I want the place to be good since it looks cool - but my boyfriend has also had a similar bad experience soooo not sure whats going on there...

I've been to this place twice now and have had fantastic experiences both times. First off, the Gin-syn cocktail is absolutely delicious if you're looking for a bold, flavorful drink with a kick. Both times I have ordered the fried okra which comes with a chipotle ranch sauce. AMAZING. I have now tried the Big Texas burger and the Southern Drawl burger, both of which were cooked to my liking and delicious. Not only is the food great but the atmosphere is fantastic. The outdoors area has plenty of seating and a bocce court, cornhole, and a fire pit for when temps cool down. I will definitely come back!

Just finished the best meal I've had at bohemian bull! I got the Caesar salad with shrimp, and I think it was the best Caesar I've had in charleston! Boyfriend got the truffle burger and said it was amazing. Friendly staff, great service, relaxing live music and awesome atmosphere. Lots of families and all kinds of people. Will be coming back!!

Do not sit in the dining room until they fix the acoustics. The back patio and even the front bar seating is nice. You can bring your dog to the front bar, but not out back. Don't ask. The salads are delicious. Wide variety of beers from which to choose. Has a lot of potential that has still yet to be tapped.

I've eaten here a few times and it is in a great location (especially for me)... but...... not so good. Disclaimer: I've eaten here during lunch only - usually during work, so was NOT looking to get my drink on. They do appear to have a pretty good beer selection, though! The food has all been pretty mediocre, but the service I've had each time has NOT been good. If you get a salad, ALWAYS ask for the dressing on the side. One person in our party recently got a salad and it was just drenched in dressing, she couldn't eat it. The fried mac and cheese bites appear to be "something people talk about", but what I found is that they are a heavy, brick-like, food-like product. The batter/flour mixture they use to fry these things comes out incredibly thick and tough. Maybe doing Tempura Fried would be better. I know it seems ridiculous to ask for a lighter fry on something that is already going to be heavy and unhealthy... but it could make this item really great! The shining star of this place: the maple mustard (instead of honey mustard) - very inventive and great! Also, the buns they use for the burgers are GREAT! Also, the fries get a solid B. They were definitely above average, were not frozen (I think) and are GREAT to dip in the Maple Mustard! After that review, I would go back, but specifically to get a better look at their beer selection and try a few. And I'd definitely get a side of fries with maple mustard to munch on while I'm sipping a beer.

This was a last minute decision based on a recommendation from a friend and we showed up, with some family, for Sunday Brunch. This place has such a fun atmosphere with ample outdoor seating. While you wait or drink there are a bunch of fun outdoor games around the large back yard. The fence was made out of recycled pallets which was pretty cool and unique. The food sounded and looked awesome but that is where it stopped. Something had to be off the day we were here because brunch took about 3 hours and most of that was waiting for our waiter to find us. When the food finally showed up it was cold. Not lukewarm, COLD. What pissed me off the most was that this was a cheat day for us and I had the pulled pork with fried macaroni and cheese, yeah it does sound awesome. Well, cold mac n cheese (fried) is not very tasty at all. They brought the wrong meal to our FIL TWICE! When we got the bill three hours later it was so jacked up and wrong. I didn't care at this point and just paid because we couldn't make this a day trip.

This was my first time here. Went because of the Yelp reviews. Was seated right away (went at 5:30) and our drink order was taken and they came back and took our food order in record time. Just to let you know my wife is on the hunt for the worlds best burger. Shes been looking for years all over this country and has come close many times. Well we ordered the burgers I had fries she had salad. Burgers were amazing! Really really great! The fries rocked as well. My wife liked the salad especially the way they cut up the veggies. Not to much dressing. Our server was Carlene, funny and really attentive. Even when the place started getting busy. $7 for really good hand made burgers was ok in my book. They have this really cool courtyard in the back where you walk thru a tunnel of rebar. So cool. We will be back!

Came to Bohemian Bull for a Bikini contest which was great. Decided to grab a bite afterwards. Ordered the black bean humus which was good but could have been better, It seemed to be missing something. Due to leaving quickly we did not get to try their entrees. We will be back for another try.

Frozen mimosas and huevos rancheros for brunch! Just do it. Brunch ends at 3, which is great for people like me that likes to sleep in. Large beer selection and nice patio area with games. Also the friendly staff has provided great service consistently on each visit. Keep doing what you're doing.

We heard good things and were in the neighborhood so we thought we would give it a try. Apparently 6pm on a Friday = family dinner time. I literally felt like I was in a Chuck e cheese with how many screaming children were in there, it was insane. The only reason it has 2 stars was because we had an excellent server. The food wasn't fabulous. Very bland and blah. Husband had a burger and I did the shrimp burger which had zero flavor and was semi cold. It was also pretty pricy for what we had- shared app, two entrees and two beers was $75 that's crazy!

Amazing! Loved the food, service, and atmosphere. The black bean dip was out of this world. We went there twice in 3 days.

This is tin the old Jack's Cosmic Dogs. I like the renovations they've made. It was very nicely done. The staff is friendly. Making recommendations since the menu was very unusual. I got the Caprese Burger with Fried Mac & Cheese bites. I really enjoyed the burger but the Mac & Cheese bites which I have been dying to find again since I tried it for the first time in Boston were a little dry or over fried. I forgot to ask to take my leftovers home. Oh. They have 32 draft beers and IPA options which was nice.

This is our new favorite on James Island! We were upset when Jacks went away but this place did not disappoint! Menu is very large with all kinds of options and creative dishes. Loved the outside dining area and the super friendly staff. Great spot on JI!!!

This is a great restaurant for James Island. It offers a little bit of everything. It has a nice inside bar area with TVs for the avid sports fan, an awesome large outdoor area to sit down and eat or just to hang out, a soothsayer who will tell you your future for a bite of your entree, and a solid beer selection! Okay, one of those is not true but you'll have to go in order to figure it out. The only draw back is their parking situation. It can get a bit crazy with people parking along Folly Road. I really enjoyed the Caprese Burger and was super pleased with how my future will turn out.
Great beer/drink selection, super people watching and pretty good food! Great place to decompress after work, outdoor area is FANTASTIC!!

This place used to be Cosmic Dog and the only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I miss Cosmic Dog. The place was busy but we were seated right away and the atmosphere was fun. At first the menu looked space but then I realized I could sub chicken on any burger and I was happy. The waitress was very nice.

Tonight was my second visit to Bohemian Bull. What can I say? Tonight's meal stood out as one of the best meals I've ever had. I ordered the Breakfast Burger and it was perfection. I'm a huge burger fan (who isn't?). This thing was off the charts good! My in-laws are in town and one of them ordered the BBQ sandwich so I had to sample the pulled pork. It was superb. My wife ordered the black bean burger which was awesome as well. On top of all of this, they have a great beer selection and the 10 oz. pours are fantastic if you like to switch things up. We had Justin as our server tonight and he had also served us during our first time here. He's an excellent server! If I owned this place, I'd do whatever it takes to keep him around. Some of the best, most personable service I've ever received!

My wife and I felt compelled to write a review after a wonderful visit to the Bohemian Bull. We had incredible service - We were greeted at the door and promptly seeded. I told our server, Rachel, that we were from out if town and she took the time to walk me through the many local beers they had on tap. She was attentive and very kind. I got The Big Texan burger with the most delicious guacamole and my wife had the Southern Fried chicken sandwich which was delightlul. We definitely recommend checking this place out!

I was in Charleston visiting a friend, and after a long morning at Folly beach we Googled somewhere to eat and found this place! I was absolutely floored by their menu. It was very unique, but there was something for everyone. I got the caprese burger but substituted chicken and had the fried mac and cheese as a side. My very picky 6 year old enjoyed every bite, and I actually had to get an appetizer to go because she loved the fried mac and cheese so much! As a waitress, service is key to a good experience for me. This place was wonderful! Everyone was perky, but not annoying. They were very attentive! I love the casual decor of this restaurant, it is upbeat and colorful. Their prices were very reasonable as well! Our next vacation I will definitely be making another trip to this place!

Craft beer here! Ever since word got out that the Jack's Cosmic Dogs location here on James Island was closing down and being replaced by a beer garden, I could barely wait for opening night! Now sadly I was unable to check out the new digs on opening night itself, but you can bet I was there the next day. So let's get down to it, shall we? First off, I chose to indulge in only liquid calories the evening that I visited (given that it was post dinner) so I cannot say anything with respect to the quality of the food items here. However, I can say that their main selling point in terms of food appears to be their "hand spanked" burgers (which do look very good!). They also happily offer "alternative" burgers to non-carnivores or non-beef eaters. These alternatives are a turkey burger, black bean burger, and shrimp po boy. Yum. The menu also boasts a ton of pub grub, sandwiches, wings, and a solid late night menu that is available until midnight Sunday-Thursday and 1am on Friday and Saturday. I shall definitely be checking out the food offerings here in the near future! As for the beer, they currently offer 32 brews on draft and numerous others in bottles and cans. You have your choice of either a 10oz or 16oz pour, as well as a few different themed flight options (ie, local brews, ipas and other hoppy beers, and darker drafts). The beer selection is pretty much all of high quality brews (think Evil Twin, Bell's, Stone, Avery, Founders, Lagunitas, etc). In addition, they also offer numerous offerings from local breweries such as Holy City, Coast, Frothy Beard, and Westbrook. Gotta love it when the local boys and gals are represented! Now since the beers are all solid and of high quality, the draft prices are a bit steep in places (ie, $16.50 for a full pour of the Evil Twin Biscotti Stout). Yikes. I know I don't have that type of cash flow. So that's somewhat of a downer. Other not great aspects I noticed in my first visit seem to be largely related to a new business getting settled and working out the kinks. For example, service was sometimes hit or miss at the bar as the bartenders were being worked heavily by the numerous thirsty patrons. Also, there seemed to be some sort of difficulty with the computer system at some point, but the servers were very apologetic about it and it all worked out ultimately. More positives include the fact that place looks awesome, there is a huge open "biergarten" area in the back with string lights and a bocci court, and the staff all seems very kind and helpful. All in all, I had a great (albeit a bit expensive) night here and am definitely planning on coming back numerous times in the future. I do believe that things will get much smoother on the operations side of things here so that's not a concern. Hopefully, improvements down the road will also include some changes in the parking department as there simply are not enough parking spaces as it stands right now and it gets a bit tight and dicey in some spots. Bottom line: It's great to have a beer garden in James Island!

Bohemian Bull is definitely becoming a regular place for us. Atmosphere is SO much fun, the food is very good pub food with a twist, tons of beers on tap. Loved the deviled eggs, mongolian wings were interesting and very good, shrimp burger was great (I'd get it w/o the roll next time), fried chicken sandwich was very good, the fried mac/cheese also very good. I wish their specialty drinks were in bigger glasses. Parking is lousy - them must be fighting with the roller skate place next door. You can have your car valet parked for free, which feels weird at a pub.

Solid thumbs up to this new Folly Road establishment. Coined as a craft beer haven, this new bar and restaurant offers so much more. Let us start on the outside and work our way in. The back yard has a bit of a picnic area with wooden tables to smoke or lounge. In the right corner is a bonfire pit (bonus) and to the left is a regulation bocci ball pit. This outdoor area is worth raving about. Inside, there are enough televisions to keep any sports fan happy, including an indoor / outdoor seating area around the bar. The staff is friendly, warm and overall fantastic. This is a good new addition to the James Island area and one that will stay for sometime. If you are feeling ambitious, it is right next to Hot Wheels where you can roller skate. Almost forgot, they have a smores dessert.....

Awesome new bar! The renovation from Jack's Cosmic Dogs to Bohemian Bull was definiltey a great idea. The bar menu has a great selection of beer and specialty drinks. I'm loving the Frozen Cosmopolitans even with the cold weather outside. I can't wait to hang out here during the summer. The fron area has a unique indoor/outdoor bar area that's going to be great to enjoy with warmer weather. One of the most atractive areas is definiltey the back. The Bull has a huge back yard with a bocce ball court, fire, pit, picnic tables. This is going to be the summer hangout! I've heard amazing things about the menu, but have yet to try it out myself. I hear the mac n cheese bites, fried okra, and burgers are where it's at! The Bull definitely needs to work on the parking situation. There are pretty minimal spots for a cool new bar in a drinking part of town. The lady next door at Hot Wheels is pretty sheisty when it comes to her spots. I've seen many people park along Folly Road that makes me very nervous considering the upcoming blind curve.

Great beer selection and lunch was superb. This place was interesting all around. I was happy to stumble upon this place with my wife. She thought the cocktails were out-of-this-world. She recommended the Gyn-syn. Younger crowd. The staff had a very confident and friendly attitude. They always seemed (after three visits) to be happy working at this establishment. My only fear is that they could be hard to get in to on a Friday or Saturday during dinner rush. They seemed hopping at 8:00 pm. They needed valets to park.

I can't imagine why they only have 4 stars. This is the best bar around. Amazing food. Burgers and fried okra is the best. The beer though ....top notch selection!

Atmosphere is very relaxed high noise level service was excellent. 3 of us each ordered something different had to send a burger back it was coated in salt. Been back since cheese steak sandwich was way to dry for my taste good place if you're a beer lover

Best burgers in Charleston/Mt. P/Summerville hands down. We came here on way to see the lights at the park and we were shocked at how perfect the burgers were. Very creative specialty dishes and the outdoor atmosphere is awesome! Taylor was a super helpful server with great recommendations. I say Truffle Burger wife says Caprese Burger. Can't go wrong with either....I could eat 2 of them. Maybe 3

Always a good time. Quality has fallen since opening slightly, but still some of the best burgers and the best Cuban on James Island. Excellent beer selection

Love this place. A clever menu and the food has always been right on target during my 4-5 visits. Easy commute from Historic District on the way to/from Folly Beach. Superb selection of craft beer and the knowledgeable "brew tenders" encourage customers to sample various craft-drafts. Also worthy of note is the outdoor area featuring a fire pit, bocce, plentiful picnic table seating. Excellent setting for events and live music. Solid 5-Star experience for me!

Bohemian bull is a solid burger joint on James Island. The staff was very friendly and informative and the food was fairly tasty. I had the truffle burger and subbed the black bean patty for the beef patty. Although I felt the burger itself lacked a little seasoning, overall it was a pretty good burger. The fries were really good as well. This is definitely a place you can bring family and friends and the outdoor area is full of games like corn hole and bocce ball. Overall it was a good experience and I will return.

Checked it out on Sunday afternoon. Casual atmosphere, nice staff, and good food! The buffalo wings and the pretzel were tasty with a few cold ones. The burgers looked great as they passed by our table. Will try them next time!

Love coming here for Sunday brunch! The mimosas definitely make life easier when you have a hang over . Please don't even get me started on those delicious Mac & Chz bites with truffle sauce! That's really all I need when I come in ! I always sit at the bar unless I am with a bunch of friend outside . It's a great place !

I've been here a few times now. I've had a really, really great bacon and cheese burger. Their meat is a brisket/chuck mix and it was cooked to temperature perfectly. Having worked the kitchen grill for a few years, I realize this isn't easy to do, especially with several tickets up. Nicely done. For brunch one day and got a breakfast burrito that was pretty meh. Now - how inspired can a breakfast burrito really be? Probably not very. So I give the benefit of the doubt there. My bad for ordering a dumb item. My only gripe is that service at the bar has been pretty middle-of-the-road at best. One time, not busy hours at all, having to sit for several minutes waiting for bartender to finish his conversation before bartender even acknowledged us at all. Another time (brunch again) just being given the same (albeit from a different bartender) I-don't-really-care-that-you're-here attitude. Good burgers, beer, atmosphere and very cool back yard. Will I be back? For sure. I'm just not going to be expecting Southern Hospitality from the bar. No biggie.
(4)
Michelle S.
I gave it a three bc the food is only meh and the parking is ridiculous. However, they did start a valet so thumbs up for that, Bohemian. The atmosphere makes up for the food and the out doors space is awesome. Bugs were a little annoying but that is expected in the summer. They even have a fire pit if the night air gets to chilly.

We were really disappointed in this place. We had burgers that were so greasy, the bottom bun, a basic grocery store white bun, was soaked. A small draft was $9. On our check. The waitress had an attitude like We were bothering her. We will not be back. Too many other great places to eat in this town for better prices and service.

Tried this place due to a recommendation from my wife who had visited previously with a friend. This one's a keeper when in the area. I had the build your own burger and fried okra with a side of loaded fries. Food was excellent and the service was tip notch. Kinda whole in the wall ish but we'll worth a visit.

They have a great selection on beer. The appetizer pretzel was really big and tasty. The bartender with the long beard is very personable and attentive. I will be returning!

My friend and I hit this place up after dinner on folly. Very cool atmosphere and the service was great! I wasn't sure of what beer to get so the server let me try a bunch of samples. All good!! Ready to go back! Fun times!!!

Went to Folly Beach on vacation we came across this restaurant and we found the food really good, I had the shrimp burger and it was really good and my wife had hot wings. We will be going back there the next time we go on vacation at Folly Beach.

SERVICE SERVICE SERVICE. I'm really sick of giving this place second, third, fourth etc. chances. It's so close to my house that I want it to be great. And for the most part the food is good, but everything is eclipsed by the poor service. My advice, go to have drinks but not to eat. If you order food while your drunk you may not notice them horrible service.
(2)

Food is good and beer selection is great. Fun,outdoor space which is rare in Charleston. Only one bathroom in the while place, which is always annoying. Well, they have two portajohns outside but I don't count those.

I love this place! Half off appetizers during happy hour, such a steal and so good! Really cool atmosphere, tons of beers on draft, good cocktails, friendly staff - my one complaint is that you can't have dogs on the huge back patio! You have to have them in front by the parking lot, where there aren't always a lot of seats. Definitely a different experience. But regardless, I'll be back!
(4)
Donna L.
We ate there today for brunch, our first time there. Was really busy and had to wait 15 min or so for a table but the bar was attentive and quickly got us a mimosa carafe. Once we sat everything was great and right on time. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend the banana donut fritters and breakfast burrito. My husband had the Moroccan wings and those were great as well. Service was flawless and not rushed even though they were slammed. Will def be back!

Great Find! We were driving by looking for a place to eat and spotted the sign. Very understated outside, nice rustic look inside. Great burgers, fantastic onion rings, and home cut skinny fries. The potato salad was killer (with bacon and sour cream) and a real treat. The local bratwurst was wonderful and a nice portion for the price. Service was professional and quick. We will be back!

Excellent burgers perfectly done juicy one of the best burgers I've had in the area good service and clean great place for lunch

Went for the first time tonight. Good food, great service., cool ambiance. It's too cold now but they have a bocce court, corn hole, and what looks like an authentic Biergarten out back. Would recommend to others.

Eclectic atmosphere good beer and great food. What could be better? They have a short list of beer but there is something there for everyone's taste. We started with the pimento cheese dip. It was very good, not the best I've ever had but still worth trying. I had the truffle burger, which I enjoyed immensely. I hate when menu's boast a dish that incorporates some form of truffles in it, yet you can't taste any truffle flavoring. I am happy to say that the truffle burger does not disappoint in this area! I enjoyed the different textures of the onion rings, mushrooms and smoked gouda on the burger. For a side I had the house salad. It was good but nothing notable. The fries are just ok. I would definitely go back if I lived locally.

Great service great food. Definitely has a sports bar atmosphere, love watching the game there! We got an appetizer of the pretzel and when it came out it looked burnt but it was not. Very well cooked. One of the best black bean burgers I have ever had! Very well cooked and delicious. My husband said if we were locals we would be back every week!

I am so glad that I tried this place. Many people had recommended it! I had the Caprese Burger, Loaded Potato Salad, and Black Bean hummus as an appetizer. Whoa! It was amazing. That with some local beer ... what a great experience. I have been spreading the word ever since. So happy to have a place like this on James Island!

Probably the best burger on James island! Wednesday is$5 burger night. Awesome beer selection on draught.

Nice environment for an afternoon on the weekend. Games to play outside and TVs inside for sports. The beer is a little pricey but great selection and a lot of locals on tap. We ordered a few appetizers: the okra everyone recommends was great, it was whole pieces, so more like chicken fingers as opposed to popcorn chicken sized fried bits. The pretzel was also great. The shrimp burger was like a crab cake patty but with shrimp, it was okay.

Good food and beer selection. But I wouldn't recommend going to watch sports. Smallest televisions of anyone on the island.

What an absolute disappointment! This place is great for a drink but not for the food. I have eaten here 4 times and have not been impressed. The fries are half cooked, limp and over salted. I wanted the loaded potato salad but they were out at 12:00 on a saturday????? The sandwiches need some help. I ordered the Boho mi and what a bad representation of this classic Vietnamese sandwich. The true version is a Toasted baguette, cucumber, pickled carrots, pickled daikon radish, cilantro, holy basil, crispy shallots, chile-mayonnaise and some type of meat like pork, chicken or beef. The sandwich I got was Smoky Oaks version of the cuban minus the ham. A hot sandwich with large sliced canned pickled japs, carrot chunks, shallots and mayo. What a terrible place to eat lunch. The kitchen crew needs to take a field trip downtown to eat at Bon Banh Mi. There are many options to eat on a beautiful saturday in october and this is not one of them. The resturant scene is growing too fast with no concentration put on the quality of food, the excecution and delivery of the concept. I have signed this place off and on my way to find the next great restaurant. You just wait until the Tatooed Moose shows up on Johns Island. ( DISCLAIMER: I have no association with the Tatooed Moose, only giving an example).

Great, friendly servers and killer outside area! I had the Smokey BBQ sand which and it was sooooo good! Def going there again!

Great beer selection and a cool open front patio along with a nice sized backyard. Chill atmosphere, friendly bartenders! Check it out

We got bulled and we liked it. The food was great, the drinks were cold and the ambiance rocked the air. Even our kids enjoyed themselves. The outside area is fantastic and perfect for all day game watching or just drinking. Sit out at the front bar and for some reason your drink will taste better.

Really good beer selection (hence biergarten) but it also has good food- especially burgers and wings. Big back patio and cool place to chill.

Okay 4 stars for the beer and atmosphere because those parts are pretty great. But biggest chicken sandwich fail ever. The chicken to fried ratio is a solid 1:2 at best. I'm a chicken sammie connoisseur. This one is the pits.

Great space! Great atmosphere! We came in for a Friday night happy hour and dinner. Our service was phenomenal! The beer selection superb. And the food was fantastic! I recommend the truffle burger and the pimento cheese dip appetizer! Well done!

Awesome. That's the best way to describe "BoHo." The only place I've seen a child's birthday party, a girls night out and happy hour happen at the same time and in the same place. The fried mac and cheese bites, as well as the numerous local beers, are reason enough to venture out to Folly Rd. on James Island.

Stopped In based on our niece's recommendation. Used to be jacks cosmic dogs. It sucked then. Andy our server was very knowledgable of the drink and food menus. The deviled eggs and cheesesteak sandwiches were spot on. This place is a good find on James Island. The draft beers were even better. I tried 3 different ones. All good with the world. Will definitely revisit

Great food BUT this is our third visit here and most likely our last. The service on all three visits is horrible. This waitress has a forgotten our drink order and apologized and then drink was wrong. The order of fries was the bottom of the batch as not one piece is bigger than a 1/2 inch!!!! Really? When we ask to order it is as if you are asking the poor girl to do you a huge favor as we must be interfering with her smoke breaks and kitchen socialization. Unfortunately, the other server, who is not ours, is bustin his butt getting drinks and checking on his tables. Bad luck at this place and 3 strikes we are OUT.

Very busy but we sat at the bar and didn't need to wait for a table. There were four of us and a wrap, a po boy, a salad, and a burger were orderd. Everyone agreed their food was really very good. Add a good beer on the side and everyone lived happily ever after.

I got to tell you, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised with our visit to the Bull. We stopped by for a late afternoon lunch this past Saturday. We had a pretzel and the homemade brats. The pretzel was wonderful--nod to Normandy farms. The brats was good, but not great--a little under spiced for us. All and all this stop truly exceeded my expectations!

These are the best burgers in charleston! We had fries, burgers, and a pretzel. All were outstanding! Great craft beer selection! Our service was awesome as well! The atmosphere was really cool too! This is a great place to hang and have a delicious meal. Can't wait for warmer weather to check out the beer garden!

I live on James Island and was so excited when I heard they were opening a beer garden in the former Jack's Cosmic Dogs location. Tried it on opening night and sat in the back "Biergarten" area. No server after 10 minutes so went inside to get beer for the table. Came back and server at the next table said he'd send someone over. After waiting another 15 minutes, got someone's attention and received menus. Ordered food, received pimento cheese appetizer that was someone else's, and never received entree. No one came by to ask how we were doing and again had to flag someone down to ask for the check and let them know we never got our meal. Proprietor came by to ask how our meal was and gave us a free entree voucher since we didn't get our food. I was willing to forgive some shortcomings because of location and beer selection but tried again today and had a similar experience. Sat at the bar and still had to wave over one of the three bartenders if I wanted anything. Ordered cheese steak and it was mediocre at best. I would only return for a beer after work and head somewhere else for dinner.

Had lunch today 1/23/2013. Nice menu. We had a burger and a Philly. Both were top notch for side we had hand cut fries and potato salad, both very good. We also had the beer battered onion rings. They we hot, crispy and delicious. Service was fast and friendly.

Such an awesome atmosphere! I love sitting by the fire outside at night. Service at times can be a little slow at the bar, but I realize they are just opening and working out the kinks. (Would have given 4 stars for this, but went a second and third time and service was faster) Got the folly cheese steak and it was delicious! Great beer selection with all the local Charleston brewery's on tap! Excited to see how this place ends up doing!

(1)Tara W.
(3)Christina V.
Ate lunch here one weekend. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were great. We sat outside with our children. My husband had the mushroom Swiss burger and a Bloody Mary. I had the Swiss burger with chicken and a side salad with a mimosa. We will definitely return.
(5)Megan V.
Best burgers ever! Beer prices are a little on the higher side but the food is way affordable so it makes up for it. I've been every night this weekend and haven't had a bad time yet. And our server Michelle was super personable and helped a lot with our selections. Will definitely come back.
(5)Russell G.
32 Beers on tap. All of them are interesting and a lot of great local beer. This place is new but the food is above the board for a pub and the staff are all friendly and knowledgeable, They've worked out the kinks and the place seems to be running as planned. Exactly what this community needs.
(5)Jason M.
(5)Elizabeth V.
We just saw this place driving by and went in and had an awesome time here! The food was amazing. Our favorite was the palmetto cheese dip, but the wings and other apps we tried were great also. The decor is very cool and the outside is a great place to hang out.
(5)David L.
(3)Tyler D.
This place is less than a mile from me. I have eaten here three times. Two out of three times I had a great meal here, the third time it was just poor service and the food wasn't good. What I had that was good- burger with pimento cheese and bacon 8/10 I Forget the other stuff l just remembered being disappointed with it.
(3)Jennie S.
(4)Michelle H.
Great restaurant and beer garden on James Island! Great selection of beers and the burgers are fantastic! Perfect for a family fall day out. Can't wait to take my kids.
(4)Jess D.
(5)Mike K.
(4)Christine B.
(2)Missy K.
(5)Sarah B.
(5)Kat T.
(3)Jon B.
Best burger I have ever had!!! Great atmosphere, great fries and onion rings. That is all I can speak to as of now but I will be back to try something different!!!!
(5)Chris S.
Truffle and What's My Jam Burgers are very good! Tons on great beer selections. Super cool restaurant in Folly Beach.
(4)Keith H.

(3)Mike M.
(5)Aaron L.
Came to Bohemian Bull for a Bikini contest which was great. Decided to grab a bite afterwards. Ordered the black bean humus which was good but could have been better, It seemed to be missing something. Due to leaving quickly we did not get to try their entrees. We will be back for another try.
(3)Carrie N.
Awesome. Great food and service! The beer garden is awesome and the selection of bourbon and beer is on another level!
(5)C R.
Frozen mimosas and huevos rancheros for brunch! Just do it. Brunch ends at 3, which is great for people like me that likes to sleep in. Large beer selection and nice patio area with games. Also the friendly staff has provided great service consistently on each visit. Keep doing what you're doing.
(5)Christopher F.
My new favorite spot. Great food, huge beer selection, great service and atmosphere. I go there regularly, even for Sunday brunch!
(5)Francesca D.
(2)Tyrone K.
Amazing! Loved the food, service, and atmosphere. The black bean dip was out of this world. We went there twice in 3 days.
(5)Harold W.
(3)kate j.
another really fun, unique bar in the charleston area that you must check out if you're visiting from out of town! the outdoor area was beautiful!! good beer and good selection. I tried the chicken and granny apple wrap and it was delicious.
(4)Chris H.
This is our new favorite on James Island! We were upset when Jacks went away but this place did not disappoint! Menu is very large with all kinds of options and creative dishes. Loved the outside dining area and the super friendly staff. Great spot on JI!!!
(5)Ryan K.
(3)Jennifer N.
Very cool beer garden on James! Great décor, great beer selection, and awesome server (Laura)! Parking was unfortunate, interior was extremely loud. We had to shout just sitting next to each other. Whoever is in charge of the kitchen, I wish you'd plate meals as if you were eating them yourself. The ingredients are tasty, don't get me wrong, but there is some obvious slack there.
(3)Heidi D.
Great beer/drink selection, super people watching and pretty good food! Great place to decompress after work, outdoor area is FANTASTIC!!
(4)Violet A.
(4)Sarah J.
Love love love. Best burgers around. Awesome sides and fries. Sunday brunch is outstanding!!
(5)Perry F.
Good food and and great beer selection. Sam was a great server. Highly recommend for people on James Island or people coming off Folly.
(5)Wes R.
(5)Tim P.
(5)N T.
I love that they had tasty gluten-free options !!!! I had the Caprese Burger and it was so good.
(4)Sheila R.
(5)Matty B.

Great location, beer selection and food. Service wasn't on point but this place is a very unique find
(4)Courtney W.
I can't imagine why they only have 4 stars. This is the best bar around. Amazing food. Burgers and fried okra is the best. The beer though ....top notch selection!
(5)Yvonne K.

(4)Steve M.

(4)Stephanie J.

No biggie.
(4)Michelle S.

(1)Michael P.
Tried this place due to a recommendation from my wife who had visited previously with a friend. This one's a keeper when in the area. I had the build your own burger and fried okra with a side of loaded fries. Food was excellent and the service was tip notch. Kinda whole in the wall ish but we'll worth a visit.
(4)Erica B.
They have a great selection on beer. The appetizer pretzel was really big and tasty. The bartender with the long beard is very personable and attentive. I will be returning!
(4)Margaret J.
My friend and I hit this place up after dinner on folly. Very cool atmosphere and the service was great! I wasn't sure of what beer to get so the server let me try a bunch of samples. All good!! Ready to go back! Fun times!!!
(5)Sigurjon D.
Went to Folly Beach on vacation we came across this restaurant and we found the food really good, I had the shrimp burger and it was really good and my wife had hot wings. We will be going back there the next time we go on vacation at Folly Beach.
(4)Eoin K.
(2)Jess W.
Food is good and beer selection is great. Fun,outdoor space which is rare in Charleston. Only one bathroom in the while place, which is always annoying. Well, they have two portajohns outside but I don't count those.
(4)Ali L.
(4)Donna L.
(5)Jennifer B.
Fantastic staff! Kat and Kris took care of us. Excellent beer choices and great food options! The staff know their beer and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The pimento cheese is amazing!
(5)Joseph E.
(4)Mike D.
Excellent burgers perfectly done juicy one of the best burgers I've had in the area good service and clean great place for lunch
(5)Jay D.
Went for the first time tonight. Good food, great service., cool ambiance. It's too cold now but they have a bocce court, corn hole, and what looks like an authentic Biergarten out back. Would recommend to others.
(5)Becca L.
(4)Brooke T.
(5)Marie A.
(5)Erin C.
Probably the best burger on James island! Wednesday is$5 burger night. Awesome beer selection on draught.
(5)Josh W.
(4)Jeff C.
Good food and beer selection. But I wouldn't recommend going to watch sports. Smallest televisions of anyone on the island.
(3)Rich G.
(1)Katie B.
Great, friendly servers and killer outside area! I had the Smokey BBQ sand which and it was sooooo good! Def going there again!
(5)Bekah P.
Great beer selection and a cool open front patio along with a nice sized backyard. Chill atmosphere, friendly bartenders! Check it out
(4)James T.
We got bulled and we liked it. The food was great, the drinks were cold and the ambiance rocked the air. Even our kids enjoyed themselves. The outside area is fantastic and perfect for all day game watching or just drinking. Sit out at the front bar and for some reason your drink will taste better.
(4)Grace N.
Really good beer selection (hence biergarten) but it also has good food- especially burgers and wings. Big back patio and cool place to chill.
(4)Lindsay E.
Okay 4 stars for the beer and atmosphere because those parts are pretty great. But biggest chicken sandwich fail ever. The chicken to fried ratio is a solid 1:2 at best. I'm a chicken sammie connoisseur. This one is the pits.
(4)Ingrid T.
Great space! Great atmosphere! We came in for a Friday night happy hour and dinner. Our service was phenomenal! The beer selection superb. And the food was fantastic! I recommend the truffle burger and the pimento cheese dip appetizer! Well done!
(5)Sandy S.
Awesome. That's the best way to describe "BoHo." The only place I've seen a child's birthday party, a girls night out and happy hour happen at the same time and in the same place. The fried mac and cheese bites, as well as the numerous local beers, are reason enough to venture out to Folly Rd. on James Island.
(5)Jim C.
(5)Robert M.
(1)David M.
Very busy but we sat at the bar and didn't need to wait for a table. There were four of us and a wrap, a po boy, a salad, and a burger were orderd. Everyone agreed their food was really very good. Add a good beer on the side and everyone lived happily ever after.
(4)Scott K.
(4)Ck S.
(5)Adrienne F.
(2)Paul C.
Had lunch today 1/23/2013. Nice menu. We had a burger and a Philly. Both were top notch for side we had hand cut fries and potato salad, both very good. We also had the beer battered onion rings. They we hot, crispy and delicious. Service was fast and friendly.
(5)Alden J.
