Passing through on the way to the beach and found this hidden gem. The location is roughly 2 miles off a country road from I-26 in an old unassuming house. Don't let this stop you from visiting here, the food is outstanding and the coffee is much better than Starbucks! We had the BLT, a Veggie Burger, an iced latte, and a frozen coffee. The tomatoes on both sandwiches tasted homegrown and the veggie burger was one of the best we've ever had! The bacon was incredibly flavorful and the sourdough bread was homemade and delicious. All around, an amazing meal and our new go-to when passing through the area!

Quirky little coffee shop. Great selection and friendly staff. Building could use some upgrades though.

This place is a favorite of mine... It has a great family atmosphere- with a great home-like, local coffee vibe to it. Many may drive by the place but I would definitely say- stop! Go inside! Chapin needed a place like this. I love supporting the local restaurants but this place makes it easy.. I've never had a bad cup of coffee (I'd say.. better than Starbucks), their baked goods are aaaamazing (I'm a supporter of the blueberry muffin.. & I'm not usually a muffin person) they have a breakfast & lunch menu that's always on point-- plus the employees are fun and always happy to serve.. I love coming here with friends, and sometimes just to sit and study. It's, fan-tas-tic. :)

I have past by the Wired Goat a few time on my infrequent trips to Chapin thinking to myself, "Hmmm a coffee shop? Did Chapin really step up its sophistication game?" The answer is yes. Yes, they did! Usually I try to keep my visits to Chapin brief, 1) because I graduated from Chapin High and I usually try to keep a safe distance and 2) let's be honest, there's really not much to Chapin. Luckily for me, I found myself stuck here with some time to kill and I thought it would be the perfect time to check out that little cheeky coffee shop so conveniently close to the HS. And let me tell you, this place is perfect! It is exactly what Chapin needed and it is puzzling that this place didn't come around earlier (or at least when I was still in school). They set up shop in a small, unassuming house with plenty of parking and an air of quaint indifference, as per indie coffee shop standards. The interior is as you would imagine: cozy with wood floors and eclectic (enough) seating and light background music so conversations won't be an impossible task. The coffee... the coffee! EXCELLENT! Way to go Chapin! You are a little old hometown and that is exactly how this coffee tastes! It tastes like home. They have an extensive menu and will make it anyway you like it! I'm a sucker for salted caramel anything, so I got that mocha (to die for) but I was very intrigued by the Canadian Bacon coffee and the Cheesecake Delight. I will have to try these on my next trip! That's right! I'll be making another trip! You hear that, Chapin? You better do everything in your power to keep this place alive! It's a bringer of the people! I also have to mention the heavenly Pecan Sticky Bun that I devoured in one sitting! They have many appealing baked goods on their pastry rack, but this one stole the show for me. Just look at the picture I provided. How could you not look at it and say "get in my belly!" All-in-all a perfect choice for this small town! Congrats! Don't you ever let go, Chapin! Ps. They started serving lunch too. I haven't had a chance to try that yet, but I gave their menu a one over and it looks delish!

This is where you get your coffee in Chapin! Everyone here is so sweet-- feels like it's a southern thing :p And the coffee shop is in an actual house... pretty weird but it makes it feels so warm and homey!

My husband and I vacation at the lake a few times a year. Chapin is very close by, and we found this little gem this weekend. The place is very cute and inviting. The coffee is excellent! I highly recommend the salted caramel mocha - yum! My husband and I also tried an iced mocha and iced americano. They were all really good.

Excellent please for lunch. I had the club sandwich with fresh fruit. The mustard was sweet with a little kick. My husband had a BLT and the bacon was crisp, a must. They use local meat which is more than most restaurants can say.

This is about as good a coffee shop as I've ever stepped foot in. The funky little house is non-level and kind of an odd choice for a coffee house/cafe, but it actually adds to the charm. Those who make your coffee and serve it up are super friendly and do a fantastic job. This is a must-stop for us when we head out of Chapin, back home, or simply tooling around town. Further evidence that giant chains are not necessary at all to enjoy a great cup of coffee! Long live the Goat!

I, first of all, love Chapin. Second, this place is so yummy and cute. I adore wired goat. A tip, it is very small inside. So not a lot of room for a big party. Would not recommend maybe bringing kids, noise factor etc. But the owners are wonderful and their staff is great!

Just met the owner of this coffeehouse, Steven. The drinks are great and they just introduced a lunch menu. This is a great alternative to the big chain coffeehouses. I hope this place is around for many years to come. Highly recommend.

We were driving down I-24 and searched for coffee on google maps and this spot popped up. It didn't seem that far off the highway so we stopped. A minute and a half after pulling off the highway we turned left into the Wired Goat's grassy parking lot. My husband ordered a cup of coffee. They needed to make a new pot so they let him pick the variety. They had about 10 different beans and he chose the Kona. While they brewed his coffee, I ordered an ice coffee. We enjoyed our drinks and appreciated the pick me up during our drive.

This place is so cute AND they have great coffee. I visited later in the afternoon and wanted something sugar and caffeine free. I didn't think there would be many options for me but I was surprised. The owner gave me about 5 options. I went with the Iced White Mocha. It was heavenly. The owner was very nice and talked to me while she made my drink. I will definitely return here as much as possible.

Best soy misto in Columbia. Big selection of fun drinks, easy parking, lots of seating, takes credit cards and square.

Thrilled to see a truly great coffee shop in Chapin. The owners are friendly, knowledgable and very helpful. The shop is cozy and feels welcoming. This is not mass-produced junk coffee, this is what connoisseurs will enjoy, with beans sourced from a roaster in Asheville. They stay open after football games as well. Don't expect any privacy- the place is small, so customers can clearly hear one another's conversations. I would recommend headphones if you are easily distracted and hoping to get work done. Also, the "parking lot" is grass and stones, no blacktop, so be ready to get your shoes muddy if it's raining.
