great bbq, great buffet

Farm Boy's is a fantastic restaurant. It's a BBQ buffet...which means unlimited bbq, fried chicken, sides, and desserts. In my opinion, the best sides are the baked beans, the Lima beans, and the Mac n cheese. They have both mustard-based and vinegar-based pulled pork. I prefer the mustard based, but both types were great. They also have bbq hash which was fantastic over rice. The breading on the fried chicken was out of this world. I can't seem to say enough great things about this place! I highly recommend it.

Super yummy BBQ! My only complaint for this place is I wish they offered a ketchup based bbq sauce. But the pork is so damn yummy it doesn't even need sauce! So good!

Good Country Style Cooking....Good food if you like BBQ and Fried stuff. They have mustard and vinegar based pulled pork. Hash is pretty good. Too many fried items. If you go at lunch, be prepared to wait. Lunch crowds are rough. Lots of sides. Unfortunately, when desserts were gone, they were GONE. Very tasty home style cobblers.

Good food. Good meats. Just try to get there real early if you don't want to wait for a table. Staff very friendly.

We stopped here on our way up to TN because we were looking for some BBQ. The place is set up as a buffet and there are a few smells tables and then more family style dining. There was your typical BBQ foods and they were good but not exceptional. Pulled pork, fried chicken, green beans, greens, corn, hushpuppies, etc. They had a small salad bar along with a few desserts. It was good food but not exceptional. For the price we couldn't complain.

Typical SC BBQ buffet. Good food and lots of sides to choose from. Not bad at all for the price.

I would have given it five stars, but nobody warned me to get the desert I wanted before it was all gone for the night ;-) This is a country style buffet. At least I know the food is cooked fresh for the day. Every meat and vegetable was seasoned perfectly. Great find for our trip back home to Florida!

Soooo yummy & fresh! Even though it is buffet style (not large though)...food is FRESH & hot! Love this place! They also have a great salad bar & super yummy deserts! :)

Not what we thought! First off it is a buffet and the food is not good. How can you mess up corn? Don't go here! Pretty much all canned food. Fried chicken was just ok.

Mustard based barbecue was just ok. Fried chicken was good. Butter beans and green beans lacked flavor- maybe throw some ham in the pot when cooking. My biggest complaint was the owner was in the dining room chatting with a friend, I guess it was. Frequent F bombs, MF this/GD that..if my grandson would have been with me I'd have had to say something.

I stooped here once on my way out of town, it was buffet only but unlike a lot of buffets it was clean freshly cooked food. The BBQ is really good, pulled not cut port moist with a light smoke flavor, I was less impressed with the sauce selection but the pork is good without sauce IMO. I don't normal like buffet's as you have a limited selection of food that is left under heat lights for hours, not the case here... It all seemed to be fresh and I really liked having Ribs (yes pork ribs) and boiled peanuts on the buffet.. The only thing I did not like was they are one of those places that seems to worry more about people trying to cheat them than appreciate the customers business (one of my pet peeves). They make you pay as you enter (OK not a big deal) then you have to show a ticket to the waitress to get a plate, then they have a big preachy sigh over the bar about how no one is allowed to take out any food of ANY kind, I think most people know this about a buffet. This sort of thing bugs me the food is still good but (admittedly nit-picky on my part) I do not think I will go back.

The food is very good and there is always a big selection of food. The employees are nice. They have very good Barbecue and other food. I would recommend this.

Excellent Barbeque, all of the standard sides. Not the selection of Hudson's or Shealys, but how much can you eat, anyway? The Lima Beans are really good but that cherry desert is to die for! It's a cherry crunch but it has coconut in it. Yummy.

For a barbecue place, they had great fried chicken! The barbecue was good too.

This is pretty good BBQ, South Carolina style. They have both viengar and mustard barbeque and I really liked the green beans and cabbage. Best of all - hush puppies on the buffet. My wife did not care for the baked beans which were very sweet. This place is buffet only but they bring you drinks and the service was very good. Lots of desserts too..
