Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Great margaritas! We have always been pleased whether having after work get-togethers or family celebrations. They are good for large parties and we have put that to the test with a few birthdays. The service is good...prompt and polite. It is also nice to have the patio seating!

Really don't know what happened. We stopped her about 2 years ago and I had one of the best chili relano ever. Today I stopped just to get it. All there was to it was a small about of ground beef, a very small pepper and cheese sauce galore. The last time we ate here, it had a corn meal coating and it was delicious. Chips were not good and salsa was hot and not fresh tasting. I want this place to be good because I travel through here a lot. Place was clean and service was fine. I heard the people at the next booth say it had been delicious. Maybe it was just my dish.

Mexican food is delicious, authentic and food was deliver to our table quickly, despite a full house. Our family tried a variety of items on the menu and everything was equally delicious!

My daughter and I stopped in because it was right next to our hotel. The restaurant was pleasant, service was prompt and our food came quickly. The food itself was very middle of the road. I had the fajitas. While the chicken and beef strips were fine , the sides were really weak. The guacamole was tasteless, the beans , bland and the rice over cooked. Also there was no option to have corn tortillas My daughter had a veggie enchilada. It was bland. Overall , fast, bland food served in a pleasant atmosphere

One of the only places in Blythewood to get a good meal. Friendly service, cheap dishes, and great cheese dip makes this place worth a visit. I regularly get the beef burrito and I'm never disappointed. You don't leave hungry!

Great local place for the Blythewood folks. Food is great and they will custom make a dish for you if you want it a certain way. We love pico de gallo with avocado!

I have lived in the Columbia area for the majority of my life, and this is by far the best San Jose location in Columbia. There are several San Joses in Columbia, but the blythewood location has the best food by far. This location is also in a very nice building that is only a couple years old and is very clean. Servers are always friendly and very attentive. They also have a full service bar with TV's.

Maybe the best Mexican restaurant in Blythewood! Seriously though, food was poorly prepared, lacking strong flavors or over fried to the point of inedible. Condiment bottles greasy, salsa out of a can, nothing stands out as good. Nice selection of Mexican beers on tap. Skip this.
