For what you get the price is just way too high. I got 4 veggies, and none of them for any good. Not sure where those raving comments about this place are coming from.

This is quite possibly the best "meat and three" in the Upstate. They have turkey and dressing year round and it's great. Good service and I like that the owner works right alongside his employees. The portions are huge. One plate is enough for two people, or you can eat half now and save the rest for dinner.

The Meeting Place is an Anderson Landmark that has been on the Square in Anderson for about 70 years. It was known as Giles Greasy Spoon for many years. They open up at 5 A.M. and have the best biscuits in Anderson. they give large helpings of food at a fantastic price. It is Cafeteria style setup. They have rear parking and a rear entrance also. Locals in Anderson LOVE this place along with the tourists.

I ran across this fantastic place when traveling/exploring from Atlanta ten years ago. Every few years I get to go back, and it is still the best "meat and three" I have ever found in the SE. I am now in Texas, and this was a "must stop" on a recent road trip visiting family in Charlotte. Old time authentic atmosphere with great people. Love everything, and typically get chicken pan pie as main course - - and always the mac and cheese. Cost is super reasonable at around $7, including main course, 3 sides, biscuits/roles, and iced tea. If you like southern comfort food, this is an absolute must-stop if you are traveling interstate 85 (before 2 PM). There is a way to go north/south and then east/west to Anderson where it is not too much of a detour from 85. Visit while these great places still exist.
