As a Northerner, this was a fantastic stop on our travels. Staff was amazing, very pleasant and courteous. As usual, very pleased with our Olive Garden meals. Matt, one of the managers, checked to make sure that we were enjoying our meals and that service was good. Very nice visit. I recommend stopping here!

I'm not a big Olive Garden fan, but tonight the chicken scampi won me over. It was one of the selections on the buy one take one home special they have going right now. A delicious entree, if a bit pricey, this dish featured delectable chicken tenders in a delicious sauce over angel hair pasta. The breadsticks and salad were ordinary like always, but the entree was exceptional, I must admit. This one visit probably won't change my mind about the Olive Garden, but I had to give them props for serving such a delicious dish. Two thumbs up on this one.

A close taste of Italian food since the only real Italian food i can get is the one I cook or when I eat in Italy when I am there.

If you're into Italian food, friendly service, and great atmosphere, then Olive Garden is where you need to go in Anderson. Pricey, but you should kind of expect that.

As usual, the soup, salad and bread sticks for lunch were great. The service was only fair - no straws for the drinks, no serving utensils with the salad, no spoons with the soup, Not at all up to their usual level of service.

When one lives in the south, Italian food options are limited. I had a hankering for Italian and opted for Olive Garden. I was slightly skeptical about how my experience would be (almost chickening out by suggesting the Irish pub) but decided to approach it with an open mind. After waiting for about 40 minutes, we were seated. From the moment we put our name on the list to our departure, the service was phenomenal. We ordered the 3 item sampler (mozzarella sticks, stuffed mushrooms and calamari) as an appetizer and I had the steak gargonzola, as well as the 25 cent sample of Pinot Grigio, which was quite good-- the apple tones truly shined through. After taking our order, the waitress assured us that the bread was in the oven and the appetizer was on its way. We received the soup (an awesome pasta e fagioli) but no appetizer or bread. While enjoying the soup, a manager came to our table and apologized that our appetizer was late, which was fine because the soup was fabulous-- not overly salty nor overly tomato-y ... it had balanced flavors and was thick with beans and pasta instead of thickened with corn starch. The appetizer soon arrived. I had been stoked about the calamari but it was only so-so. The fried batter was rather crumbly and always seemed to be falling away from the calamari ... the proportion of breading to squid was too high. I prefer calamari that is cut in thin strips with a light browned breading. The mozzarella sticks were browned thick triangles and quite delicious. Olive Garden should consider using that type of breading on the calamari. The mushrooms were amazing ... caps stuffed with some buttery gooey clam base. I loved my steak gargonzola alfredo. I'd had my friend's cold left-overs a few weeks prior and it was so delicious I didn't bother to heat the food. By the time I had finished 1/3 of the portion, I was stuffed. Unfortunately, we did not receive our breadsticks until R politely asked for them but when they arrived, they were delicious. Slightly garlicky with buttery overtones, soft but with a nice bite to them, the breadsticks were great. We also had a pitcher of tropical sangria. Yum! =) It was awesome. I'd definitely return to this Olive Garden!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
