Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Greek Cuisine
Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.

We bought a groupon for Zorba's island and this is the second time we've eaten here. The first time I had the gyro and it was awesome! Their fries are good and my better half had a sandwich and was happy as well. Tonight we got a pizza. The Hawaiian. It is a really good pizza!! I'm a big cheese lover and it's a cheesy masterpiece!! But. There was hardly any pineapple or ham. I'm pretty sure I got one piece that had one small piece of pineapple and that was it... So that was disappointing, but over all this place is awesome and we will be eating here again.

this pizza is some of the best i've ever had. and i've had a lot of pizza. it's kind of a beefed-up greek style pizza (think houses of pizza) - the dough under the cheese is thicker than traditional greek pizzas, but still has crunch and a thicker, soft-on-the-inside outer crust. the cheese was of a very high quality, plentiful, and just plain delicious. this place makes me wish that i visit aiken more often! yum!

Pizza is very good. House salad is great with the house dressing. tzatziki sauce is usually pretty good. It is homemade, so sometimes it is better than other times. Gyros are pretty good also. Wait staff is typically younger adults, high school age, so the service can be spotty. We eat here about once a month.

Glad we came across this place! Although there wasn't a huge selection of Greek food, what they did have was pretty good. We started with the Spanokopita, which also came with feta and black olives. My husband and I split the Gyro Combo Platter- huge portions. Only came with four pieces of pita bread, but we asked for more and weren't charged extra. Our daughters split the children's spaghetti and meatballs platter, and it was so large they still has some left over. Service was great! Would definitely go again if ever in the area!

Wow I didn't care for the food quality when my dad took me here years ago. We tried it last weekend and the quality is not good still. A Greek island bar? It's not Greek an island or a bar.

Best pizza in Aiken hands down. Made fresh and to order. I've had some other menu items here but the pizza is the clear winner on the menu. I think they are doing them-self an injustice not making more of a push to let the pizza be a forerunner on the menu. I think they need to push the pizza more and offer more pizza specials to attract a little more customer base. Never really busy when I have stopped in. Nice little bar in the back room but I think it's big name bottles only and no craft beers or draft to my knowledge. Supposedly have a game room downstairs but I have never had the time to venture down there. Family friendly place. Fair price for pizza, some might consider high but you have to remember this isn't Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Dominos, etc. this is good pizza... well worth the $12-17 bucks. Call to pick up on the way home or eat in. No delivery.

Having the small greek salad and house special pizza, my third trip here and as usual everything is delicious. House merlot isn't bad either, but I wish they had a better beer selection, at least from some local breweries.

According to the menu the chicken souvlaki is marinated chicken breast. This may sound picky but they use chicken tenderloins instead. For the price you pay for the platter, a better quality meat was expected. May just have to try the pizza next time, can't really mess that up.

We have been frequenting zorba's for many years. It is our absolute favorite spot in Aiken for Pizza!! Their pizza is the best!! The red sauce is plentiful and delicious. We always start our meal with the cheesy garlic bread and dip it in the marinara sauce....that is a meal in itself!! We love their Greek salad & Greek salad dressing!! Huge portion and plenty for sharing!! When we have family come in from out of town, we always pick up pizza & salad to take home. Our friends and family always agree that it is the best. You should definitely give it a try!!

Went there for dinner last night 5/8/2013. We had a coupon for buy one spaghetti bolognese and get one free. We had two children with us and they had the chicken tenders with fries - they looked good and tasted super. Our salads as part of the meal were good also. The spaghetti was completely the other way, the sauce was brown and didn't taste of anything. We did wonder if it was dog food at one point. The garlic bread that accompanied it was soggy and didn't taste of garlic. A couple on another table were complaining that the chicken on their pizza wasn't cooked. I also observed that the wait staff were not removing any plates while people were eating. All plates were removed when the customers had left. Our table was becoming very full at one point. Based upon our experience I don't think we will be going back. Obviously this restaurant has gone down hill in the last couple of years looking at the reviews. They need Chef Ramsay to pep it up.

Plenty of food for the money. The Greek combo dinner was very tasty but the the chicken and pork was a little dry. My wife had the Greek gyro salad. Way too big but also very tasty.

Good food! Had the lasagna & it tasted great. Generous portion. Downstairs they had a game room we enjoyed after dinner playing some pinball. Family friendly. Very casual. Can't wait to try the pizza next.
