Amazing steak and great service. If you are in Aiken this is the place to stop. Stephen, the owner, gave us a full tour of the Rose Hill estate. There is a lot of history here. Personally I had the fillet, and it was amazing. But the crew with me had the pork chop and lobster ravioli which both were raved about.

Pimento cheeseburger was delicious and they make a pretty good Cuban mojito. The patio seating was nice and the live music was a plus. The service was a tad bit though. Overall, great spot to hang out at!

I visited recently with a group of colleagues for an after work cocktail that turned into an early dinner. The Pasta Carbonara was Excellent!!!! Deliciously creamy, perfect mushrooms, and freshly made pasta. I will definitely order this dish again. I love the southern decor and attentive service. On my first visit it has been named one of my favorite restaurants in Aiken.

This review is only about the evening food service - never have stayed there. Food is outstanding - top of the line for fine dining , one of the best places in Aiken for a great meal. I have traveled extensively and this is right up there with some of the finer places you would dine in the larger cities. Southern hospitality and business casual type dress code. In the essence of full disclosure ; our son is one of the chef's.

You must try the calamari. It's a bit fancier than I'm accustom to. So if you're trying to impress a gold digger, this is the place.(Steve's so proud. So from someone who doesn't always have something good to say about said chef. He is the best chef I've ever met. Always outdoes himself.)

I SO want to give this place 5 stars...but I can't. Here is what's great and also what needs some improvement. GREAT food....totally outstanding. The mussels were moist and succelent and the duck is a must. Really enjoyed the bluegrass on the patio as well. Perfect summer evening dinner with friends. Needs improvement...with only 2 other tables we were surprised that we were asked if we had reservations..no, we didn't. Apparently you need reservations in order for the chef to cook for you. This is a first. We have been to Rose Hill many times in the past and never encountered this. It took almost 4 hours...NOT an exageration folks...to get our food. Over an hour to get the appetizer (which is prepared raw) and 3 hours later our food arrived. It's a shame b/c we LOVED the food and wanted to stay and enjoy the evening anyway, but will seriously re-think our dinner plans if we have to wait 4 hours again. Also....please bring back Preston and Weston...we miss dancing the night away!
