Came here on Wednesday before heading to the Southwick Zoo. Very nice breakfast. Pig Pile Omelet (Sausage, bacon, ham, and I got cheese too). Wife ordered scrambled eggs, toast and homefries. Omelet was very good. Wife's eggs were great. Not overcooked as they sometimes can be. She was very happy. Nice homefries. Service was good too. On top of things. It's out of the way for us but we're glad we came. Some place we'd probably never have gone to without doing a search on Yelp!

Looking at the four star reviews are what made the choice to check out this little stop; sadly didn't receive four star quality. (In my opinion) I sat by the window in a booth, still had a clear view of the somewhat outdated decor. A bunch of dead plants where directly behind the booth, sorta gave it a drab feeling. The food, was mediocre at best. They did give a nice amount of bacon to go along with my eggs, and the homefries seemed a bit under cooked with certain parts that had burned onions on them. The "toast" seemed more like warmed bread slathered in butter. I didn't eat any of the toast for fear of a later stomachache. The service was kind but a little less attentive than larger chains. There was a lax flow that made it a little slow to get food and pay. There was also another worker - standing behind the breakfast bar area, eating. I don't know about most places, but this automatically makes me worry about health standards. Overall, there are many little things that could help whip this place into shape. As is, it leave much to be desired.

I had higher hopes with the existing 4 stars but George's simply didn't deliver. The staff seems nice enough but the food left much to be desired. The home fries weren't satisfying enough (a little too soft for my liking) and really lacked without ketchup (couldn't flag the waitress down until it was too late). The eggs were good but the bread? Holy butter! There was an absurd amount of butter on this bread. It was literally like a butter sandwich. I had to scrape chunks of half melted butter off of the bread which resulted in butter everywhere, so much so - my hands become too greasy to clean with a Napkin so I had to go to the bathroom just to wash my hands. All in all, seems like a kind family owned business but needs a little improvement.

great little breakfast place. always heard about it finally decided to check it out and it did not disappoint. we got here around 11am, its a decent size place definitely a hot spot. parking lot was full and so was the place. we were able to get a seat at the bar though. there was no open tables left. they serve lunch and breakfast all day so it was nice to have the option for a burger if i wanted. the service was quick and friendly our waitress was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. I liked how if you sat at the bar the cooking area was right in front of you, not like most place where there's a wall or something in between you and the cooks. Not here you can see everything they're doing and i liked that. I ordered the House special #2 - 2 eggs, choice of bacon or sausage, homefries, toast, french toast and coffee for about 8 bucks. I also ordered the hash cause i just have to try it at any new breakfast place i go too. everything came out quick and hot regular breakfast foods nothing cray cray.. but the homefries really impressed me. i feel most homefries taste plain. but they're were actually flavorful and i enjoyed them a lot. the hash was excellent they're very few places that i think have good hash around here and this i can say makes my list for places to order hash. the french toast was okay, not the best I've had didn't even have powdered sugar on them, that's like pancakes and no syrup. make sure you look at their board of specials. they had a steak and cheese omelet my buddy got, looked amazing and he said it was delicious. I just hope its still there next time i go !!
