Another fantastic dinner! Grandma's Pie is the best pizza in RI!! Tonight's dinner salad was a huge bed of romaine with cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, onions, red peppers and more covered in mozzarella cheese. Honestly I can't imagine a better Friday night dinner!!

I just think we all need to calm down about the name of this pizza place. Yes, Vittoria's is associated with Vetrano's and Valentino's, and yes, they have the best pizza in Westerly. No, it's not New York style like the name of the business would explicitly imply. However, is it fair to write bad reviews about a restaurant solely because of its name? What's in a name, really? This is Connecticut style pizza--more precisely: this is Wooster Street pizza lifted out of New Haven and placed on Post Road in southern Rhode Island. The other locations for some reason do not have the same quality pizza as the others, and I attribute this to A) the oven and B) the staff. I haven't strayed too far on the actual menu (I usually stick with their pizza, calzones and rolls), but I can tell you that their Antipasto Italiano is delicious if you get the balsamic dressing on the side and dress it yourself. Now, my Grandmother was from Sicily, and she used to make pizza. The menu description of the Grandma Pizza is as follows: "This pizza was first made in Long Island about 45 years ago. Everyone's grandma back in Southern Italy makes a delicious pizza with bread left over dough, adding few simple, delicious ingredients. We brought it here with Pasquale's twist, it's considered one of the town's favorite. Fresh mozzarella, crushed tomatoes, EVOO and pan cooked, old school." It may be one of the town's favorite, but it isn't one of mine. You can definitely find better Southern Italian pizza in Southern Italy than in Westerly, but it wasn't the worst thing I've ever eaten. I have yet to try their Chicken Parmesan, but I have a feeling it will be great, since I know they can make a decent marinara. In sum, stick to the pizza, get over the name, and be careful of the exotic stuff and you have the chance to eat Pepe's style pizza in a Southern Rhode Island shopping center.

Excellent "NY-style" pizza! Really nice tasty thin crust, sauce was very good.

Well I tried it and liked it The crust is a bit under cooked for my liking, but still good. The topping tends to slide off. I got a conventional pizza and a local oriented pizza, a Calabrese. It has a complete cheese covering over onions, soupy, and the best pizza sauce I ever had. I recommend it

Good New York style pizza. I use to love this place but whoever is making the pizza now is a little heavy handed with the cheese. Chill on the cheese and I would add a few stars.

Best NY style pizza, without driving to New Haven or Federal Hill. Homemade sauce, fresh herbs/seasonings and crust is perfect. Good work, fellas!

My perspective is from take out only. We ordered the Bianca pizza and it was great. Would go back again.

The reviewer Jon B. Pretty much hit the nail on the head with his review. Victoria pizza advertises authentic new York style pizza, however the pizza they serve is nothing like new York style pizza besides it being thin sliced. I ordered the meat mania pizza, it was overly greasy (to be expected but even more so) and half of my pizza fell off as I went to go in for a bite. The oven is definitely not an old fashioned brick oven. I would not recommend this pizza joint.

Run by the folks that run Ventrano's in Westerly and Valentino's in Ledyard CT, Vittoria's may just be serving the best slice of pizza in Southern RI. But I've got a bone to pick with them, this is not NY pizza. It is good, really good, has a sturdy thin crust and a fresh red sauce that shows the fruit and zesty flavors of the tomato. They use a good cheese, and on the other dish I tried, a Sausage & Pepper Roll, really well made sausage. I'd order that one again too. Its more of a calzone, and is served with a side of Marinara for dipping. It was definitely not finger food. So I'm griping, but when it doesn't fold like NY pizza, its doesn't have that smokey char, bite of crust, and nutty chew of NY pizza, its not the same stuff. Change the name, please, the pizza is fine, tasty in fact, its just called something its clearly not.

I can only comment on the gluten-free pizza and it has greatly improved over the last 18 months that I've been trying it. There are few choices for gluten-free pizzas around and I like the gluten-free pizza at Vittorias better than Uno's or the Cucina-company restaurants. It's a frozen crust that they add toppings to and heat-up on order. They've really gotten the hang of heating it up to perfection. They also note on their menu which toppings are gluten-free and which are not.

Very good pizza! These guys and Pizza Works downtown are the best in westerly. My folks live in Weekapaug and food options are pretty limited in that part of town. BIG large cheese is around $13 take out. Crust is very good. A MUCH better than average pie in terms of RI standards. Better ingredients and you can taste it!!

We've eaten here twice now -- the first for pizza, the second time we got dinners. The setup is a little different from your typical restaurant. If you're planning on eating in, first go to the counter to grab a menu, then find a table. There aren't that many tables and they are all lined up against the right wall. Once you decide on the food, go back to the counter, order and pay. When its ready, someone will deliver the food to your table. The pizza we had was very good. The crust was thin and chewy. Most likely we'll order the pizza again. For dinners we ordered Chicken Parm and Lasagna. Each dinner came with a very nice salad (NOT your typical bowl of lettuce, one cucumber slice and piece of green pepper). The portion was "right sized", but I would have liked just a bit more pasta with the chicken parm. My only complaint about the dinners is that they were both pretty bland. The pomodoro sauce was very tomato-y but didn't seem to have any spices in it, Even the meat in the lasagna was tasteless.

Like another reviewer noted, this is NOT NY style pizza. Having had many a pie from the city (Grimaldis, John's, Patsy's) while living there, I can say one thing for sure that this pizza is nothing like the pizza I ate in NYC.... As for the "Brick Oven" I am not sure what constitutes as a true "brick oven", but from what I can tell, it's a gas fired oven shrouded in fake bricks. I assume there are furnace bricks inside which the pizza sits upon while cooking, but to call it a brick oven pizza is a serious stretch. In addition, tonight's total of $28.95 for a large meat pizza that was just ok (and that's being pretty generous) and 3 fountain drinks is to me EXPENSIVE! Don't get me wrong, if this place was called Joe's Average Pizza I would give it a 3 star... But to bill yourself as real NYC pizza deserves a 1 star. For NYC pizza without driving the 164 miles to the city, go to Pepes Pizza in New Haven. There you will find real thin crust pizza baked in a real coal oven.. excellent!

First visit. Ordered the Sicilian pizza with roasted garlic. The best pizza I've found in westerly! The eating area is small, but the quality of pizza overshadows the size of the restaurant. Next time we pick up pizza, I'm definitely picking up from Vittorias!

Love the pizza here! I used to be a big fan of Vetrano's but this pizza tastes even better. Don't know what they do differently but I would highly recommend this pie to everyone!

I hear so many promises, "We have real NY pizza!" It's never true. I just get my hopes up, and order it, and then receive a sparsely-cheezed, doughy crusted mound trying to pass itself off as pizza. I was half-expecting the same with Vittoria's and was pleasantly surprised when I saw the oh-so familiar orange grease pooling in the top of the cheese cavities. This was salty and delicious with a thin, crispy crust. And my husband ordered the veggie which had fried eggplant on top. By the other reviews, it seems like everyone has their own definition of what constitutes NY pizza, but for me, this is the closest I've found in RI so far.

I stopped in for an order of chicken parm and a slice of grandma pizza. Pizza was visibly burnt and should not have been served. It was not worth $4 by any definition. Thin, small square of pizza. The chicken parm was just ok and really salty. I wasn't sure if the chicken was freshly made, either way I've had better. I do like that they have counter service so it is more casual than Vetranos. The woman working was very friendly. Overall it was just ok. I had a better experience at Vetranos recently.

If you like your pizza overcooked and don't mind paying a little extra for it, Vittoria's is your place. Every time I've ever gotten anything there, it has been overcooked. To top off the experience , when my wife looked in the box before returning home with said pie, she mentioned the black crust. Counterboy's response? "Well, it's only one piece." It was three pieces. Won't be going back and don't recommend. Too many other restaurants out there will gladly provide well cooked food with better customer service.

Got a roasted pepper-artichoke-mushroom pizza and it was one of the top five for my lifetime. Excellent! Will most certainly return, and soon.

Very average. Pizza was overcooked and had a very unusual flavor. Definitely not "NY Style" like the reviews claim.
