Diabetics at TGI Friday
If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.
Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:
Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

About TGI Friday
TGI Friday is a casual dining American restaurant chain founded in 1965. The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. Over the years of its existence, the TV commercials and other advertisement streams have also twisted the phrase a bit and used it as Thank Goodness It's Friday. The restaurant serves alcoholic beverages primarily. However, they are also known for their low-carbohydrate and low-fat menu items to promote a healthy lifestyle. TGI Friday also offers gluten-free items on its menu for those with gluten intolerance.
Besides the cool name, TGI Friday also has an interesting background story of its origin. The founder of the restaurant Alan Stillman lived in a New York-based neighbourhood full of a young crowd, especially girls from the airline and fashion industry. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.

My husband called in an order for pickup... which took over 45 minutes. When he got it home, the French fires looked like they had been sitting in grease for a while, and looked *so* horrible that we didn't even bother tasting them. The pizza was dry-looking, and one bite was all it took to find that it was loaded with garlic powder, had virtually NO sauce, and had the same texture as the cardboard box it came in. I have *never* had to throw out an entire order of food after just one bite -- until now. I would have given this place NO stars, but the website won't let me. What a waste of $17...

I lived on main street in west warwick from 2007-2010, and this place was definitely on the top of our list for take out.......i was always satisfied with my order, whether pizza or sandwiches....the sauce is very good, as well as the crust, particularly the deep dish.....Ive lived in RI my whole life and there's always been endless options when it comes to pizza....I live in the midwest right now and I'm fereling nostalgic for the east coast pizza I grew up with....For above average, affordable pizza with a smile, you can't beat friendly guys!!

I've had pizza from Friendly Guys twice in the last two weeks - once for pickup, once for delivery. The pick up pizza was made on time. The delivered pizzas were quoted in 30 minutes and arrived right on time and also included a complimentary cheesy bread. Both the delivery driver and the guy behind the counter were true to the company name - extremely friendly. As for the pizza, it was delicious. Tons of pepperoni, the works was loaded with great veggies, all with a buttery and garlicy crust.

Not sure the reasons for the other ratings. One star would imply a health hazard. Anyway, we just moved into the area and were passing by. I had heard good comments. Stopped in and went to the counter. The lady was on the phone. She really wanted to put the phone down and help, but the person on the other end of the phone apparently was doing the 50 question on a pizza. Finally she managed to get the order and turned her attention to us. She was very apologetic. She took our order and told us it would be about 45 - 50 minutes. We asked if they could just deliver it and they were happy to take the order and deliver it when it was done. We ordered their 'Deluxe' pizza. (side commentary, this is not NY, so it is not a 'pie'). Anyway, the pizza was delivered in about 30 minutes. Once again, I had stopped into the place and committed my taste buds and gut before reading the yelp reviews. To be honest, I am glad I did. This pizza is just fine. The crust was good with a hint of garlic. The cheese was heaped on thick. The vegi's were fresh and the meat was very flavorful. Do not be afraid to order their pizza. The staff was friendly, both the lady taking the order and the guy delivering. This is just a local pizza joint not trying to be pretentious catering to the pizza snobs. Additional commentary: Cheese and meats all have oils that are released when cooked. If your pizza is dry coming out of the oven, you have some fake stuff going on.

Yuck, hate their pizza, thin crust, wicked sweet sauce. Not a fan. They have been around for a long time tho, must be doing something right. Their tenders are decent tho...

I give this place 4 stars, here is the reason why... the first time I went to this place, I ordered a chicken parm sub. It was extremely busy with on phone orders and they were on the phone with this one guy for like 10 mins because he wouldn't stop asking questions (Before I could order) the woman who was working that night apologized for the wait and thanked me for being patient. Then she said Im gonna throw on some extra cheese and chicken on your sub and a free coke for being so understanding.. That was when I decided I will be coming back to this place all the time because they cared about there customer. Now a few weeks ago I ordered from them delivery which i have never done before... when i ordered they messed up my order.. I ordered a bacon and pepperoni pizza and got meatball and pepperoni instead.. I HATE meatball! So I called the guy at the place and let him know he said sorry about that I will send the Bacon pizza right over and it was at my house in 10 mins.. I had to give the meatball back but the driver then said sorry we are really busy and said next time we call to ask for Chris and we will get a free cheesy bread with our order... That made me happy.. so there Pizza to me the bacon and pepperoni were both very very good they do there crust like dominos but it taste better lol and there was plenty of sauce and cheese and BACON!! Yumm!! anyway I gave it 4 stars because everything was great about this place accept for the mess up on the order... So I do recommend this place and there Chicken Parm Subs are so goooood!!!

By far the greasest, most tastleless pizza I've ever had. Literally no taste.

Was pleasantly surprised, I had a restaurant.com certificate for $5 off $10 or more which lead me here as I was looking for a take out pizza. The interior of the restaurant has much to be desired but this is clearly a take out type of restaurant with only a few seats. The pizza on the other hand was really good. They put some type of spice on top that makes this pizza very unique. The crust was perfectly cooked. Definitely will return for this pizza.

Best French fries and Steak and Cheese sandwiches also make a great Italian sandwich pizzas pretty good too
(5)Amy B.
Worst pizza I have ever had. Said it would be ready in 20 minutes. It was ready in 35. When I got home and opened it it was burnt and dry. We could not even eat it and it was crazy expensive at $17. Never again.
