karaoke disgusts me but all the sports on the TVS are good and so is the eye candy

I've tried to like this place three times now. Tonight sealed the deal. It's loud, obnoxious, and the service absolutely sucks. There were four of us tonight. I asked for a beer menu and our server pointed to the wall and said, "it's over there". That's great, it's clear on the other side of the bar, and I didn't bring my binoculars. Could she not tell me what my options were? We ordered our drinks. Our friends ordered a draft beer and received bottles with a pint glasses, being told, "sorry, we don't have that on tap tonight". We then asked for a menu to grab some appetizers. We got menus and then....nothing. We waited 20 minutes, and our server walked by three times. She finally comes back and asked if we wanted anything. By that point we were all set. We asked for our checks. I understand it's busy, but our server had no interest in taking care of us. Her attitude clearly stated that. After another 10 minutes, she brings our check for our drinks and one pen and says, "sorry, I only have one pen". There were 2 couples. Really? I will never be back to this place. Service is always terrible and the environment is loud and obnoxious. If you're into gangster rap, and crap service, this is the place for you.

They have good specials for games and what not, a decent selection of taps to choose from, and from what I can remember the food was okay, but damn... the patrons this place attracts are awful. If you enjoy being bumped into by meatheads with gelled hair who don't have the decency to say sorry, this is the place for you.

Horrible staff, horrible service, horrible treatment of the patrons, and the place looks dirty, I wouldn't step foot in that place again and wouldn't spend my money in a hole like that.

great food, great staff...a place where you can be yourself and have some fun and not worry about kids!

I met my fiance there almost 4 years a go now. It's a friendly all around "cheers" bar where they really take the chance to get to know you. Love the atmosphere, the bartenders, and the food.

We ended up here by accident. The place we were originally at was so packed that it was standing room only, so their loss is Tavern 12's gain. I kinda liked the atmosphere, or lack thereof. If Rhode Island allowed smoking I could somehow see the wisps of smoke filtering through the air. Anyways, it was crazy busy there, being a Friday night and all. The clientele was strangely half young business people and half blue collar people. I loved the fact they had keno, as I am a bit of a junkie, but because it was so crazy busy the two bartenders did their best, and I applaud them for that, but when you're trying to get your keno slip in it doesn't make your feel better when your numbers come up on the game you missed. Apparently they have DJ nights, Karaoke, and Trivia nights there. I think I found a new bar to hang out at before the theatre!

Just a great neighborhood bar & grill. Owner is a JWU guy so he takes pride in the food. Always good looking waitstaff, friendly, great draft selection. Pool table, loads of tv's... Overall chill place to hang or grab a low key bite.

Stayed at a local hotel, as I was in the area for a concert, and wanted to grab a beer and some apps afterwards. Tavern 12 had a very inviting atmosphere, excellent live music and AWESOME wings! I would make the trip when I am in the providence area for the wings alone. Good size wings and great taste! Seems like a very fun place and I will definitely come back when I am in the area!

I had gone by here a number of times on my way to my office and noticed a full parking lot. Always. I only returned after reading it was under new ownership by someone from JWU. It's very clean and well run! Wait staff very attentive. I was there for the NFL games this Sunday and will return to see them again. The crowd was +35. Good job TT.

Read the great article in the Warwick Beacon about the new owner & staff. My husband & I went there for lunch on Mon around 1:00. The food is AWESOME & you know the chef/owner takes pride in the food he makes. Unfortunately, there were 3 guys "business" types sitting at the bar that were soooo loud & obnoxious. Every other word out of their mouth was f**k this f**k that...I am well aware that it is a BAR, but come on! They should have had enough respect for the female bartender & the only other female customer (ME)! If I was with a girlfriend, I would have walked out. Grow-up, you're GROWN MEN & furthermore, NOT really professional drinking on your lunch hour! I wish the best for the new owner, AGAIN the food was incredible, but the atmosphere is just as important...

Friendly, casual place with a diverse menu of tasty foods. The waitstaff is very personable and remembered our preferences after just a couple visits. The Bruins are always on the tv when they're playing! Awesome buffalo wings that are half price during Bruins games.

I've only been here once, I didn't have any food but the drinks were good. The bartenders were funny and friendly. It was on St.Pattys and plenty of people were there. The crowd had a good assortment of people, good music and many games on TV. It was a good time and I would definitely give them a try again.

Awesome, don't let looks fool you. The new owner and chef Matt really has elevated barfood to a whole new level. Had the Thai Chicken Sandwitch and it was great. Lots of craft beers. Not a real noisy sports bar, but mellow, great classic rock in the background and a whole lot of varied sports on the tv's in the place. Yet you can still carry on a conversation without yelling. Owner Matt came out and spent time with the customers and asked for opinions on the food, I offered one and he advised he might give it a try. I will go back next time I am in RI.

Karaoke nights get a little crazy. It's small, crowded and really hard to get a drink. Most of the tables get taken pretty quickly which tends to leave you standing and mostly in the way of others trying to navigate the bar which can be a pain shuffling back and forth constantly. Music is loud and impossible to hold a conversation. If that is your thing you have come to the right place. Myself, I like a place where I can sit down at a booth or something and share a pitcher with some friends with some conversation. So, for some it might be awesome. For me, ehhh, not quite.

Docking another star because over a year after my last review, the owner or an employee of Tavern 12 has taken it upon himself to harass Yelpers who gave less than positive reviews. Considering that this person also bragged about ignoring customers, I don't see a need to ever go back there and am glad that my group has found a better place to enjoy football games.

Not really a fan of this establishment. The place has a very different feel depending on when you go. Some nights (like Wednesday) are super busy and you will be standing person to person and not be able to walk. Other nights is its D E A D inside. Oh but wait, just b/c there is no one in there does not mean you are going to get quick quick service. We went Saturday night, early even for the 25 cent wing special and a few pitchers of beer. The waitress had no personality and no real skill other than writing down the order and brining it out. Not personable at all. The food came out quick and they even got a refill on our pitcher pretty fast but when we were done we waited, and waited, and waited. I had to walk up to the bar to ask for our check and even after all of that our waitress didn't even bring it some other server did. Drinks are so so and they are not cheap. Karaoke there is awful. It gets super loud so do not go here if you want to unwind or have a conversation with friends. If you are really in a bind and need to stay local to Warwick just hit Dave's next door and have a much better night.

The staff and people who go here are rude if you're not one of their "regulars" or a "townie" of Warwick. Never would I ever choose to go here, but have ended up being with a group here a few times. If you like to wear sunglasses inside at night and gel your hair while singing terrible karaoke, then this is your place! If not, then there's plenty of other places to go.

There are so many places to grab some food and a beer surrounding TF Green and I feel like I really messed up after going to Tavern 12 instead of one of the many other options. I can see the place for what it is; with all the massive amounts of tvs it's probably a great place to pack in, shoulder to shoulder, to watch a game. The prices are decent and despite most of the beer offerings being of the Bud/Coors variety, there were a couple of decent options. But damn, was that food bad. The pot stickers were crispy and stale rather than tasting like dumplings. The mozzarella sticks were taken from the freezer and then topped with the cheap parmesan cheese than you get off the shelf at the grocery store. The burgers, ordered medium, were charred to the point of inedibleness. If the power went out at my place and there was a big game on tv that I couldn't watch then I could see myself heading back to Tavern 12, but I'd make sure that I ate at somewhere decent first.

This place has gone down the tubes since the new ownership. New paint and a new parking lot is not going to make your business better. Good luck!

We were teaching in Warwick this week and the hotel recommended that we visit Tavern 12 for good food, good beer and a relaxing atmosphere. Tavern 12 did not disappoint. Our group had an amazing blueberry beer and the food was absolutely outstanding. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive, and the owner (Matt) even came out and spent time visiting with us. I understand that Matt recently bought the place only a few months ago - so if you tried it before and didn't like it, go back - I bet Matt and his team will change your mind!
