Well, slather me up some baby back mediocrity and charge me a firstborn! I get it - it's a chain, but I eat at Applebee's with the excitement of a 1992 4 year-old finding Barney the Dinosaur at his b-day bonanza. So you've really gotta up the suck factor to get me down. Smokey Bones is a haven for overpriced, under-portioned 'BBQ', served up at a mind-numbingly slow pace. I'll start with the price. I'm not sure what pinkies they're trying to stick out with these dishes, but they are not worth the tags. 10-12 bucks for a menu-item burger that barely reaches the size of a BK Whopper, complete with absolutely 0 sides. Want fries? A scoop of a max of about 15 potato slices will cost you an extra Washington. If you pop over to the entreé section, you'll be looking at some 12-18 dollar plates that I can only imagine fall short of their Louisiana aspirations. Though the late night usually isn't too shabby, prime time service is usually the speed of a pre-death escargot. I don't come here nearly often enough to make an assessment on the dinner crew anymore, but I used to attribute most of this to kitchen flubs. If you're cravin' some proportionally affordable and satisfying BBQ fixin's - you're better off grabbing a rack of ribs at one of the other TGI Applebee's chains in the greater Warwick/Cranston area.

If it was not for the awesome waitress,, she was the best part of the whole night.... I would've given zero stars. Granted I've not eaten here in about 2 years, the food wasn't even close to the same quality. The salmon was super fishy and dry, yuck. The fall off the bone ribs wouldn't fall off with a.chisel and hammer. Disappointing to say the least.

Yummy food, good service . . .what more could a guy want? I brought my wife and kids kicking and screaming here the other day (being from the South, we are kind of BBQ snobs) after haven gone there a week before on business. They were pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed the wings! I liked the smoked wings and the BUFFAQUE wings (solo good!). The BBQ Nachos were fun for the kids and tasted good as well. All and all, it was a success. See you guys again in about a month ;)

Got food poisoning from some chicken that was freezer burned crap. The GM was a real Seaward about it too. Dodging my calls and claiming it was because of some jew holiday. Then he threatened to sue me because I said he owed me a lot more than a free meal. I'd be too weary of the food to ever step foot in there again. He should spend more time inspecting conditions and less time on fake holidays based on made up books.

Went in looking forward to some ribs. Bartender was prompt getting my drink order and getting me a menu but that was it. My menu was lying on the bar for 15 minutes while she ignored me. Put my credit card in the glass and the other bartender cashed me out fairly promptly. Terrible service from the first bartender. Check for a single 22 Oz harpoon ipa was 8.91. Absurd. Done with that place. Too pricey and bad service. Used to go all the time but they have priced me out of their custlmer list. Draft prices like that demand awesome service. Not someone socializing with her friends.

I went there yhe first Sunday of nil season. They had only one bartender serving drinks and food for the bar and floor seating. The bartender was overwhelmed. My food took over half hour to reciever, that was just the appetizer. I ordered a second drink when I could finally stop her running by, but 20 minutes later I still hadn't received it. I went to use the bathroom and find the manager. I washed my hands and turned around to find no towel dispensers or hot air dryers. There was a roll of paper towels sitting between the two sinks wet from people handling it and water all over the counter. I found the assistant manager D..... and asked about the bartender situation. He said, "it's being addressed". Whst about the bathroom? "It's being addressed". It was not being addressed and he and waitresses were standing around talking among themselves as the bartender struggled to keep up. Bones does not fulfill their mission statement on dining experience. Try some other sport bar. At least a local establishment won't switch price menu s after a certain hour for the same food.

Really loud, and really cold. They blast the music, no matter what time you come in (been there twice now). If I come in for lunch, I'd like to be able to hold a conversation with my friends, and not have to scream, especially in the middle of the day. It's also really cold in there- think supermarket cold. The food is fine, the staff is friendly, but the first time we went in we waited for about 40 minutes for two salads, and it was pretty dead in there. I won't be going back.
(2)Corey A.
Cold coffee, followed by cold soup and cold pulled-pork. One of the managers overheard us talking privately at our table about how terrible the food and service was, apologized and made sure our food came back from the kitchen hot (but definitely worse for the wear) the second time. The apologies were appreciated, but didn't really make up for bad food, long waits, no drink refills, and a painfully long delay while our waitress took orders on the way to our table with our credit card receipts. The entire wait staff appears to be untrained or barely-trained teenage girls who unfortunately don't seem to know what they are doing. Even some of the better BBQ sauces in town don't make up for the disappointing service and quality of a formerly decent chain. Avoid.

My first experience with SB was in Atlanta. It was also my first experience with Pulled Pork. Being from Texas, we don't really make an effort to BBQ anything as small as a pig. So I tried the pulled pork and brisket. First the bad, stay away from the brisket. They do not know how to cook it or serve it. It was a lump of shoe leather. The good, the Pulled Pork, the BBQ Chicken Nachos, ribs and the burgers. And no, I did not try them all in one sitting. They are a good solid chain that tends to adjust their serving sizes based on the economy, which is kind of unfortunate. E.g., a rack of ribs has between 12 and 13 ribs. So how a half rack of ribs has 5 ribs is beyond me, and it always seems to be the small end. What happens to the 2 or 3 that are left over? The upside is that the flavors are consistent and the service is usually pretty good. So if you are having a hankering for BBQ and don't want to just buy a bottle of sauce and lick it off your finger, SB might hit the spot.

We went in and it was kind of cold in there. The service was great. The waitress was on top of things. I ordered soup which was SO SO SO good. I also ordered the cobb salad which was very good. my husband ordered us the sampler appetizer which was just ok in my opinion. But he really liked it. He ate so much of it he could barely eat half of his burger, which he said was really good.

If I could just rate the smoked wings it would be a 5 star. Love smokey bones wings, cooked perfect, just the right amount of smoke and the sauces are great The service sucked, our waitress needed a lesson on how to approach and maintain a party of 4. What an attitude when asked what kind of martini's can the bartender make? Settled on watermelon , came back to ask if we wanted it clear? Wtf? Who cares, any good bartender can make a martini w/o asking the details like that, just make it... Took forever for her to get back to us to ask that particular question , at this point forget it, my friend just drank water . Strike one already with the eye roll and snicker If I wanted attitude I would stayed home and had dinner with my teen daughter. Second strike, when I asked for another beer, most waitstaff would access the table and ask the other patrons if they would like a beer. She took off before the guys could tell her about theirs. It was 1 beer at a time I guess. I had the Cuban sandwich. Was just ok but served hot, hubs got another order of 16 wings and my friend got the burger, well. Cooked perfect. My thirsty friend with the martini screwup was too pissed to eat dinner , just had wings for an app. Strike three on the cleanliness of the windows, I get it ,was a long winter but holy shit, manager! You need to scrub them. Gross they are opaque

Went for lunch today and was excited to have some pulled pork and mashed potatoes. I started eating and noticed a greasy black ball in my mashed potatoes. I dug it out to investigate and could not figure out what it was. I knew it was something I shouldn't eat. I told the server and she was really nice about it and asked if I wanted something different. Then the manager on duty came over... His shirt was untucked and stained... He looked like a hot mess. He said that the mashed potatoes are next to the grill so a piece of carbon must have fallen into the potatoes. Eewwww! He acted like it was no big deal... And said the meal was "on us" today and that I just needed to tip "the girl" .... On us?? I didn't eat any of it so of course it should be free. I proceeded to call their corporate office in Florida to tell them what had happened. The woman in corporate was also very nice. She said the district manager and store manager would get back to me. And also mentioned that the sloppy manager on duty told her it must have been a crumb from the toaster because the toaster was next to the potatoes (30 minutes earlier the potatoes were next to the grill) whatever it was it was a greasy ball of yuck in my food. Don't think I will be going back to smoky bones!!!

This is the third time I have been here and the second time there was someone else's hair in my food. After the first time I decided to give it another shot, that will not be happening again. I got the smoked salmon salad and there was not one but two long hairs in my salad. They refired and comped my order but honestly my appetite was already shot. The service was good but I highly doubt I will forget about the hair in my salad not once but twice.
(1)Kathy T.
Steak and spinach salad was absolutely fantastic! Buffalo chicken sandwich was good but overpowered by the bluecheese crumbles. Best of all were the Margaritas ... The fresh diamond is unbelievably yummy! Music was a bit loud. Erica and Cassie were excellent waitresses! Funny and helpful.

Probably one of the worst experiences at a restaurant I've ever had. Seating wait time wasn't too bad but after that it was all downhill. It took forever for a waitress to come over and take a drink order. Then after not being ready to have our order taken we asked for a minute. We did not expect to wait another 10 minutes. When we finally did get our order in it was pretty simple. 2 burgers and an appetizer. Somehow our airhead waitress managed to screw this up and completely forgot to order the appetizer. Which she wrote down. After waiting a half hour we wonder where could that appetizer be and low and behold she brings over the burgers. We ask where the appetizer is and get an "oh sorry" and she shrugs it off and walks away. Another thing is she never came back. Not even to ask about our meal which of course had a problem. I believe a bbq burger should have bbq sauce on it but I guess not. My mother would've loved another water but again no waitress in sight. Needless to say this was a terrible first experience and I will never be going here again. The food is overpriced and the service is terrible.
(1)Bob S.
Kind of ordinary nothing to write home about ....good point is we usually don't have to ever wait for a table... usually get a burger the mac n cheese with pulled pork is pretty good
(3)Tom W.
The food, drinks and service remain top shelf. We always sit at the bar on a weekend and the beer is cold, and the service, especially from Roy, impeccable. We always start out with the wings - smoked, dry rub and consistently Excellent. The pulled pork is great as well. Lots of TV's as well.
(5)Robert R.
Service isn't so great. I had to hunt down my own silverware, napkins and straw. My medium rare bbq burger came medium. I ate it anyways. It was delicious! Bad service, tasty cheap food.
(3)Kate J.
Love this place, comfort food,well-priced,great staff.Never had a bad meal before ,except beer can chicken,it was pretty terrible,it doesn't taste or look good,we tried to fix at home with spices, put it in the oven to cook it more, didn't work, just got the smell all over the apartment, despite that it's a great place, still will be back)
(4)Ashley S.
We ordered two mixed drinks, the cucumber mojito and the mango peperita. They were both really bad, to the point if not being able to enjoy our meals. The manager was very nice and came over to tell us he would take care of it, and I ordered a Sam Boston lager. The waitress came back with a Sam Light! Really? The food was lackluster and very simple. For the price, it was defitely not worth it. I do not recommend this place if you are looking for something other than a step up from bar food.

We are not good at the "what do you want for dinner?" conversation but we finally settled on Smokey Bones. I had never been and he hadn't been in a really long time. We started with the Fried Pickles which were really good. Better than any others we'd had. For some reason my Dr. Pepper tasted funny so obviously I switched to Angry Orchard...on tap...22 oz Boom! Had two of these and with the time and appetite I had I should have gone with 16 oz. He had ribs, 1/3 rack of each st. louis and baby back with bbq beans and roasted corn. the beans were a little too sweet, the st. louis ribs were over cooked and over sauced. i like the corn a lot, he tasted a mystery onion. I ordered the brisket with bbq beans and mashed potatoes and gravy. then the waitress brought me a taste of the cole slaw...so i ended up getting slaw and fries. They have four different kinds of bbq sauce on the table! I went for the mustard type. All in all a delicious meal. It was pricier than we were figuring, next time i'll be more prepared.

Look the prices represent the cut of beef you get. Cheap prices = skimpy steak. However, the place is clean, nice ambiance and friendly service. Food was cooked to my specs. It's just OK.
(3)Kenny B.
This place has gone downhill. It used to be so good. Service is still good but I was unable to look past the million gnats flying around our table and food the last time we went. It's sad because if this place focused on quality like they used to they could be a really good chain to eat at. Unfortunately for this smokeys they get worse every year. Owners - step it up. Thumbs down.

We often stop in here for lunch while touring the retail mecca that is Bald Hill Road. Of all the chain restaurants in the area, Smokey Bones is a favorite of ours. The food is a good as you can expect from a chain. The BBQ dishes are fine and the sauces are tasty. Since they've changed the menu, I usually opt for the turkey burger - it is seriously good. They have a bunch of options for toppings, sides, etc. In our experience, the food always comes out really fast so it's perfect for a quick bite with the kids. I've never had a problem with the service, it's always pleasant. The last time we went I had a $10 coupon so the bill for lunch was $20 including tip and tax. That's an incredible deal for a family of four!
(3)Christine V.
Smokey bones was my first date with my now fiance six years ago. Since our first date we had gone on a rib mission and always come back to smokey bones. There is nothing bad you can eat here. The build your own burger is an adventure in itself. Salads are amazing as well! We just had lunch there today and it was perfect, chicken tenders are a no fail every time. We will definitely be back!
(5)Mike T.
Good bbq place for the northeast. Portions are big and the prices are reasonable. I like the fact that they have 4 different bbq sauces to choose from. Also beer and mixed drinks are cheap there you can get a pitcher of bud for 7 bucks. Also they have a bunch of different tv's all over the bar showing all the games.

I noticed that a lot of reviews on here mention bad service. That was not the case with my experience. I visited here on a busy Saturday night with the hubby and two kids. We put our name in and despite it being busy, we only had a 15 minute wait. Out waitress's name was Kate and she was on point. She made sure our glasses were never empty and our food was right. The hostess let my little one play with the buzzer and from time to time "buzzed" it which kept him occupied the whole time. The rest of the staff was friendly as well, commenting on how cute our kids were. Now the food....The roasted chicken nachos are the bomb. The only place I have had better was Toby Keith's @Patriot Place. My hubby and I split a BLT burger and mac and cheese. The burger was cooked to perfection and the toppings were fresh, the mac and cheese on the otherhand was bland and didn't taste homemade. Traders Joes has better frozen mac and cheese. The kids both ordered grilled cheese but our waitress mistakenly grabbed chicken fingers so it took a few extra minutes for their food to arrive. She apologized, but it literally was just 2 more minutes. The grilled cheese is on a sourdough bread with the orange cheese. Kids loved it. Fries were hot and crispy, cinnamon apples got gobbled up in minutes. Portions are huge. We felt like absolute gluttons. I had a $10 off coupon so our bill only came to $31.23! Soooo inexpensive for a family of four. Overall great service (just ask for Kate), decent food, and kid friendly.

Had to go here as part of a group. Very meh, I don't see why this place was PACKED. The ribs were actually quite expensive for what you got. I got the 1/3 rack and it came with a scant looking amount of french fries and a dry baked potato. I agree with others, it was a bit chilly in there----so bring something warm. Service fine. I simply just don't agree with the company as a whole----companies like this that only hire female servers contribute to sexist attitudes in society (just look at their website). Simply talking the food---nothing jumped to make me want to go back.

As far as BBQ goes, Smokey Bones provides an option that takes the edge off that craving when it hits you. I've been here more times than I can count, going back to the early 2000s. That said, if you asked me then what I thought of Smokey versus now, I would have had much nicer things to say. Somewhere along the line they changed the menu, and with it, the quality of both the food and service. But, I'm not here to pick on poor Smokey, because as I mentioned on the whole it fits the bill. The prices are very reasonable, they have some of the better appetizers I've seen from chain restaurants (read: PRETZEL BONES), and all in all the food is tasty. My personal favorite comes from their salad offerings, though technically not a salad. You are given a side salad with a baked potato stacked with toppings including pulled pork. This works out to be a fairly healthy option for an otherwise unhealthy cuisine. The doughnuts in a bag for dessert is also a great treat. Hot, freshly made doughnuts are brought to your table in a bag, and covered in cinnamon-sugary goodness. They also come with dipping sauces which are chocolate and some indeterminable fruit sauce. Either way, good stuff! Beer selections are a bit limited if you're into craft brews, but for those happy with your run-of-the-mill Coors/Bud/Miller and the Blue Moons/Sam Adams offerings, you should be all set.

BBQ places are few and far between in New England and although Smokey Bones is a chain the food is great! I had the pulled pork sandwich and my daughter had a burger - the burger was perfect and the fries are excellent my pulled pork was great. The pork was tender and juicy and the sauces are outstanding, it is not like the local joints in SC or TX but it fills the need. The only downfall to this place was the poor service, I was there with my daughter at about 5PM (before they got really busy) and the young girls working were more concerned with chatting with each other than waiting on tables. My ice tea went empty until I could flag our waitress down and it took forever to get the check. So to wrap it up, food was great, service sucks!!!

I'm not one to normally give 4-stars to chain restaurant, but this chain gets an exception. Smokey Bones gets two thumbs up for providing good BBQ (not stellar, but this far of the Mason-Dixon line I'll take it!) at reasonable prices with very friendly service. After weeks of cold, wet, snowy weather, I was really craving some smoky BBQ flavor. Being incredibly lazy, I had no desire to make this happen myself - so I Yelped my way to Smokey Bones. I came by on a Saturday with a friend for lunch. I had been worried that they might not even be open for lunch, but they were surprisingly busy - although there was no wait for a table, and they had plenty of servers to handle the crowd. Our waitress was super-friendly and very attentive. (She also had really, really cute earrings.) We started with the skillet cornbread with pecan butter. I love cornbread and this is damn good cornbread, made even better by the pecan butter. It was delicious as an appetizer and as leftovers the next day (OK who am I kidding I went home and ate it like an hour later, stop judging me!). I had a platter with pulled pork and 1/4 BBQ chicken, while my friend got a huge burger. My platter was awesome - generous portions of meat and 2 sides. The sides were mediocre, but you don't go out for BBQ for sides now do you? If I could go back in time I'd probably get baked beans and a baked potato. Live and learn! The pulled pork was the most perfect thing on my plate, it had great texture and flavor. The BBQ chicken was also great, the skin was crispy white the inside stayed juicy. There was plenty of each left over for the next day (this actually *did* make it until the next day ...). My friend's burger was big enough that she had to bring the other half home for dinner (I can't tell you whether or not it lasted that long, but I have my doubts). All in all, a solid meal with quick, friendly service at very reasonable prices.
(4)Kristen I.
I enjoyed this place. I ordered the hand pulled pork entree with sides of bbq baked beans and corn. I used their sweet barbecue sauce on the pulled pork and was thoroughly satisfied. The beans had a little bit of a bite to them and were flavorful. Our server was very attentive and kept our drinks filled. They have other non-barbecue menu items (my mom ordered fish and chips), but I think the barbecue is quite good and would recommend it.

(Better for a game night/ Bar/Bro Date than for the food) Food: Decent, appetizers rock, steaks are good, pulled chicken made me scratch my head bc it was a little "off" but i think the ribs are better at texas roadhouse! Drinks: hell yes and a HUGE SEXY bar to boot very good place for apps/drinks or watch the game Service: hit or miss like many places we've had awesome we've had depressing and its got nothing to do with how busy it is or how big it is...just random
(3)Erica Z.
Always an awesome time. The service is always friendly and laid back, and the brisket is the best!!!!
(5)Ben W.
The food it self only get 3 stars, nothing special really. I gave it four because I love the environment, pretty girls, and lots of different beer on tap
(4)Aly K.
Is the food here the best ever? No. But it is tasty! And the inside of the restaurant is awesome. Wooden booths, a huge bar, sarcastic artwork! Sign me up! The wait staff is not always the fastest, but they are not bad and are super nice! The food was yumm-o! They have a bunch of different BBQ sauces to accommodate a variety of tastes. The prices are great for a chain. They offer a lot of different drinks at GREAT prices! The wait to get a table at dinner time is bonkers. I recommend trying them for lunch, or be prepared to wait for a bit.
(4)Martin T.
Smokey Bones doesn't make the cut and here's why: It's a bad Applebees/Chilis-type place that focuses on so-called barbecue. Their sides are terrible. I had the baked beans (overcooked, canned mush), the cold slaw (my girlfriend actually tasted it and said, I quote: "that's disgusting!"), two types of wings (one was Asian or sticky something) and an order of their self-acclaimed award winning classic buffalo wings. First, both wings came breaded and deep friend: they were cheap fried chicken wings and kind of gross. Real wings NEVER have breading on them and by the way, they should be tossed in sauce--not these. They were both barely drizzled on top with their respective sauces and accompanied with wilted, old celery stalks. They should be embarrassed to serve that garbage at their prices. I was flabbergasted and that takes a lot for me. The spinach and artichoke dip was horrendous and I don't write that lightly. We actually sent it back after one taste. It comes as a mush of bad, processed tasting cheese, yellowish and with a side of corn chips, a side of sour cream, and a side of salsa--WHAT? It looked like a mating of Taco Hell and Velveeta on my plate. How can you get spinach artichoke dip wrong, dude? It's just cream cheese, some cheese and vegies....ugh, oh yeah, and no Mexican sides! It's like a drunk and potentially high, middle-aged dude came up with the recipe. Maybe the burgers are big and maybe they're good but I'm not going back. The music was friggin blasting at 11:30am and the music was some sort of 1980-1990's softish rock stuff?UGH. We asked them to turn it down and were told it was part of their marketing feature to have it as forefront music not foreground-WHAT?! I laugh writing this remembering that was the poor waitresses' comment. I said to her: "if you had to play rap music at that level, I'll bet people would be really put out." She said they do at night with other music. I just laughed because Smokey Bones is clearly geared toward the average to lower average American, 30-50 something, who is looking for fake American BBQ that doesn't scare them with too much originality (its' fake so it shouldn't!), a heterosexual crowd and dating scene at night much like the other food chains and the walls attest to that; big pictures of sayings that are made up of quotes called "boneisms." NO sh*t, I can't make that ignorance up at all! It's a mess and not a hot one. But if you don't have a taste bud, don't mind throwing away your money at a bad Applebee, Chili's barbecue rendition, geared toward testosterone: cool. Case in point? On my way to bathroom, I heard two late 40+ males walk in, look around with their ties on and say loudly, "wow, this place must really rock at night!" LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!! I was done. The waitstaff was good and the manager took the bad food off my bill promptly and even offered to give me some more free bad food in exchange. A notable offer he made was a nice dessert to take home: donuts with dips! Yep, they actually have donuts you can dip...as if donuts for dessert aren't assaultive enough. Nice guy tho! The music alone and at the decibel (sp?) it was, says enough...can you say your local midlife crisis joint? If you have enough taste and self-respect to spend your money on decent food and don't need to be force fed the idea that you just MIGHT get laid if you come back for happy hour or are at happy hour there believing your hip when you're not: step over to the other mid-life but non-crisis place, right next door: Olive Garden. At least you can get a healthy salad? And frankly, though a bit geared toward women and the elderly (both cool with me! I have a girl, a mom and sisters), it's predictable and food stable.

I have been in twice now and had takeout twice. Takeout was horrible I like less than 10 minutes away and it was like my food was 2 hours old, especially considering I waited for them to cook it. I am from AZ so I know good BBQ had it in TX and a few other places in travel and I have to be honest, I am not a fan with the ribs. I really think they messed my sauce up, I don't like a mustard based sauce I don't even use it when I make home made bbq sauce. I prefer vinegar and I just think maybe it was the wrong one Once I get up the nerve to waste some money I guess I will try again, I would just rather make my own so I know it isn't wasted. I have tried the Rib, and Brisket (which was really dry and fatty), the Sausage, which was over cooked as well. The fries are always cold which is normally my go to thing when unhappy with a meal. My boyfriend had the club, and didn't like it at all and he eats pretty much anything. My daughter had the chicken tenders today and they were a bit tough and of course her fries were cold. She never turns down chicken and fries and she did today. Today I had the build your burger, and besides the cold fries I was impressed. Now I am 5'3" and weigh 109 lbs but I have a huge appetite so don't judge me but I made a hefty burger! It was the 1/2 lb with lettuce tomato pickles onions, fried mushrooms, fried onions, bacon, teriyaki sauce, and pulled pork. I have no idea why I thought it would be good to add pulled pork to teriyaki sauce, but it was delicious! The teriyaki sauce also comes with the crispy shrimp and it is a bit salty but when I figured that out I had already ordered. However they didn't put much and it wasn't noticeable at all. Added a little Tabasco and I was in burger heaven. Only burgers that are better are my homemade ones and the ones at Chelos. I don't get burgers when I go out to eat so that's what I have to compare it to. If I go back I would get the pulled pork or a hamburger but I can't imagine going back to spend 13 bucks on a burger. Other good things that I have had were the kettle chips and the crispy shrimp things. I was interested in the wings, but I didn't want to push my luck, at least not today. Been living in RI a year, still trying to find some REALLY good wings.
(3)Ryan W.
It is Alright for a chain restaurant. Every time I've gone I've liked it less and less. Wings have gotten drier, sides less tasty. I want to stab my goddamn ears out with the horrible music selection. We sat at the bar, they have music videos to back up the terrible music, some sports. Altogether I'm under the impression this place would do a lot better if they focused on food instead of flare. You know the Nazis had pieces of flare..... They took forever to get us our check after we had been finished, and kept asking us if we wanted more drinks, we each had a beer and were both drinking soda at that point. If you're looking for authentic BBQ, it's not here.

GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS! This place is loaded with girl waitresses. There was a 5 minute wait when we arrived but it was OK because we sat on a nice comfy couch. Bear in mind, this was days after Hurricane Sandy so half of the restaurant was filled with out of state tree cutters and electric companies. We ordered beer and it came quick and it was rather cheap for a draft. The food also came fast and was above average. Their kettle chips are good and different than anything I have had that runs in the French fry family. My girlfriend manned up and bought a burger that was taller than her head. For being packed on a Friday night, the noise level wasn't too bad. The $10 off $20 coupon made it even better. HAHA

Okay, so I've never had ribs in Texas or Kansas City, but from what I've tried this place has really great ribs! I prefer the baby back ribs, they fall right off the bone. Their pulled pork is also a little bit of Heaven :) My only qualm is that there are a couple sides I'd really love as choices that I've found at other similar restaurants: smashed sweet potatoes/sweet potato fries and mac and cheese. If those sides were offered, I'd be a little more in love. Even so, I'm happy to return here over and over again.

First off it is extremely loud with terrible music blasting! The menu is large but the food is so-so, not bad for chain food but didn't satisfy our BBQ craving.

Chain mentality. Everything looks and tastes like it was thought up by a marketing college student. It's the usual thing. Take a concept, beat it flatter than hammered shit including slogans, decor, gimmicks etc. Stupid shit like big signs that say "It's okay to stare at a nice rack...if it's on a plate!!" yeah ok. --Special mention for the disclaimer as you enter. -- "By entering the restaurant you agree to release your image for unlimited use by the restaurant etc, etc." Woah. So by walking through the door you've just given them permission to put your smiling face in an ad campaign? Really? What if you were smiling not because you liked the ribs, but because you were passing gas? FOOD It's okay. That's about it. They spend more effort on how it looks. It's loaded with sodium, and unless you're an olympic swimmer, one meal is equal to an entire day of fat calories. Still, it's better than Famous Dave's chain BBQ. Bar Weak drinks. Piss poor american beer. Atmosphere- TVs everywhere. I had to sit through dinner with some doober two tables over staring through me to see the game on TV. Annoying. Stupid looking guy too. Funny thing is seeing table after table of guys on dates who are completely ignoring the girl. Dumbass guys. I should steal them all away. Come 'ere sweetie How about a back rub. Did I mention the annoying website?

In my experience, I think Smokey Bones is a great chain! 1. Service is always fast - even on a Friday night 2. The pulled pork is AMAZING! I like that they have 4 different types of BBQ sauce to choose from. 3. It seems like they are always having drink specials and appetizer specials every night of the week 4. To top it all off, they have a Smokey Bones card and right now they are giving 100 points bonus for registering your card and a free appetizer coupon. When you reach 200 points you get a $20 gift card! $1=1 point It's a great place to get together after work or a late night out with friends! They have a bunch of TVs around too to watch just about any sport playing :)

We were stopping in for a quick burger. Everything was as ordered: Cheeseburger, plain...Smokehouse. Everything tasted ok, but the lettuce shreds were brown rusty on the appetizer (onion rings were yummy!) and my smokehouse burger. Annnd, I had a definate, ummm, result from eating there. Someone is cutting corners, something was not good with the burger. Salmonella tomato? Come on guys, I love good BBQ...and now im just as sad as the wilty lettuce.

How can you say no to 1/2 price appetizers during football season??? It's not southern barbecue if that's what you're looking for, but it's a lot of food for a little price tag with some great beer specials too. Not sure that I'd call this your big-night out - but you'll get bigger after this night out. :)

This place, while a chain, serves up some tasty BBQ. The ribs were fantastic (fall-off-the-bone!), and we got a couple of half-priced apps since we went on a night with football games. The apps were also pretty tasty - standard game food, really. The service was a bit slow due to the game. The restaurant was packed, but since there were TVs in every conceivable location, the wait was not that bad. Plenty of parking and friendly service overall makes this a good place to go when you are craving BBQ. Not the cheapest place (we would have paid a lot more if not for the half-priced apps), but still tasty.

It's a Smokey Bones. Corporate and what not. I'm sure there is one near you. Go if you want to. Or don't, your call

Great atmosphere to watch a game. Good menu. Best wings around!!

Went here for the 1st time last night, my friend and i were driving around 10:45pm looking for a restaurant to attend. And there it was glowing on a rainy evening Smokey bones, we saw cars in the lot and prayed it was open. It was! Our grumbling belly will be feed. The ambiance was very dark bar influence accented by the glow of the large flat screen TVs. We sat and I ordered the 7oz garlic glazed steak w. Mashed potatoes and broccoli,we had the spinach artichoke dip appetizer , & I ordered a cuervo mango. The appetizer was a bit chill and the chips were stale., but we we're hungry and con't to munch on. My drink was tasty ordered a 2nd one in fact. Then the cue de gras the main course, I was a lil disappointed of the size of the steak but I should of known better. The steak was well cooked, nice flavor not as garlic-y as I would of like, my mashed potatoes tasted good w.o the gravy, my broccoli was very yummy. Overall I would go again next time I would try there ribs, maybe those would taste a lot better.

As others have pointed out, it is a chain, and it comes with all of the usual chain-restaurant trappings and fixings. However, I was able to appreciate the music (Chili Peppers, Van Halen, Modest Mouse) and the wonderful aroma with the added plus of great service. The pulled pork was dry, and the roasted corn flavorless, but the broccoli didn't taste frozen and the cornbread really was mouth-wateringly delicious. The sauces were good, but real BBQ should not need to be re-slathered with sauce that has been sitting at the table all day. However, I would never make the mistake of expecting high quality BBQ from a chain restaurant.

I thought it was good. Had a chicken rib combo. Would go back!

Did takeout recently and I have to say I was unimpressed. My pulled pork, mashed pots and baked apples were ok. I didnt eat everything on my plate....it just wasnt that flavorful, I know there is an issue when I am not interested in eating all of my barbecue. Service was fine, there are "take out" parking spots which is very helpful.

HORRIBLE!!!!!! I went there yesterday with 2 friends and decided to sit at the bar because there was a long wait for a table. Well after sitting at the bar for about 5 minutes we realized why the wait was so long. They were really understaffed. There was one guy trying to service at least 20 people. It took 10 minutes to just get drinks and another 10 to order. Mind you I saw the manager and a couple of staffers off to the sides chatting it up. I ordered chicken fingers and mashed potatoes. The chicken was overcooked and the mashed potatoes tasted boxed. I know what boxed potatoes taste like cause I was broke growing up and I LOVE POTATOES..it's my favorite food. So if they taste off I will know. The ranch dip didn't taste like ranch at all..then again what does a ranch taste like hmmmmm? Anyways...as we waited another 10 minutes for food we were being attached by fruit flys, I don't appreciate swatting for bugs indoors, aaannndddd why were there bugs indoors?? I was so disappointed beyond belief. Additionally, it was cold and raining outside and the AC was kicked up inside..ummm what? We did have a couple of hot days but it was raining and cold yesterday, did the manager not know how to cut down the air? The only reason this place gets a star was because the manager didn't charge me for my meal (i gave it back after a few bites). I will never go back to this place ever!

They get one star for great service and the other was for improving the strawberry sauce with the donuts. Other than that I was so disappointed about the serving size of...brb...

We really like eating at Smokey Bones. The baby back ribs are very tasty, but sometimes I get the combo platter with brisket and pulled pork. My fiancee ALWAYS gets the Lodge salad, which she says is one of her favorite salads when dining out. The servings are big, the service efficient and friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Sometimes there's a long wait, but if you can find a seat at the bar, then it is totally bearable.
(4)Dan A.
ok i want to give it 4 stars the ribs are good and drinks are reasonably priced. there sides SUCK plan and simple. mashed patatoes taste like i was at a nursing home, broccoli was salty kinda strange, service there is so so depending on who you get. but i will say this i have come multple times and our server was not personable at all. we tip very well and have get drinks. but never the less ribs are good. Texas road house has better ribs believe it or not.

We only get here twice a year but look forward to each time. Their original sauce on the "baby back ribs" are great. They have other sauces on the table that are also good. Sometimes the ribs can be too dry and that's disappointing as was my wife's last night. Mine was very good and they are the meatiest ribs I've seen. The full rack at $23 was well worth it. The 1/3 rack has 4 ribs, house rack has 8 ribs and full rack has 12 ribs. The usual sides are very good...baked beans, cole slaw, crunchy onion rings. Enjoy!!
(4)Leslie C.
Great wings, pulled pork nachos and ribs. The bathrooms could be cleaner. Other than that great cold draft beers and friendly service

Had an awesome lunch with Vicki today. She was extremely personable and helped me decide on exactly what to have. I ended up having the brisket sandwich. It was awesome! It was like a philly cheese steak but better. The Brisket was moist and the peppers and onions were fresh and Al dente. I will definitely be back to have lunch with her again. Also, on a side note I love that the management always checks on you here. You don't get that at other restaurants.

come here for drinks pretty often. best part about this place is alex the bartender. shes so awesome. its why i come here. drinks are always made well and they have a lot of selection in terms of the bar. good prices too. food is always what you expect of a chain.

I love this place. It is always filled with positive staff and delicious food and drinks. Today I went with my family and we had a waitress who did not get a tip from the family next to us. She was visibly upset and said phrases like "those people never tip. 1 in 100 might tip 15%", "it's like they live up to their self fulfilling prophecy", "people of that genre never tip I hate it". She was talking about a black family next to us that left without tipping. She asked us to rate her high on the survey and said she really wanted to make a status about what happened. Racism is alive and well in Warwick. Thanks, for making it clear to me that I will not return to this Smokey Bones again.

Three safe rating for your run of the mill chain BBQ. This isn't a place to write home about, but it's a decent place for a brew and a sammich. My friend and I headed in around 11:30 for some lunch on a Saturday. As usual, it took five minutes to be greeted, another ten to get drinks and our meals in, and so on and so forth. The waitresses don't have any personality (bar staff is awesome though) and seem very airheady. I understand the concept of pretty waitresses drive sales, but I don't want to see jeans so tight that I can see the waitress' iPhone falling out of their rear pocket along with some skin. I ordered a BBQ pulled pork sandwich with an upcharged order of tater tots. The pulled pork sandwich was cold on the outside and only warmish on the inside. The toasted bun didn't really seem toasted, just browned and pretty meh. THE TATER TOTS THOUGH ARE WORTH THE $2 UPCHARGE. Crispy, warm, not too overcooked, and delicious. I would come back for that. All in all, smokey bones is meh, but have some key saving points such as their cheap liquor and cheap apps on the weekdays after ten. Worth it for that, but not much else, thus the not blown away 3 star rating.

The food is quite good. But the noise levels are unexceptable. Apparently they do not give much stalk to atmospere with the food. It was so loud it hurt. Sign on wall says if the music is too loud talk louder, i wonder if the estabilshment does not consider the atmosphere equally as important for the patrons that are sober? We left quite shaken by the decibels. Another concern they do not know how to make tea. The glass came with the ice practically completly melted and weak. Has the waitress not been trained to know how to make tea? When confronted about it told to stir it up and try again. Quite disappointed.

This place is huge! I love the big bar and several tv's the staff is good and the food is good too. My favorite part was the sangria I had it was very tasty & refreshing! With strawberries and mint. I had a dry rub chicken wing appetizer that I'll order again and a salad that was very good with chicken, artichokes & avocados.

This chain has some very unique food. the appetizers are more fun then the main dishes. I enjoyed having loaded tater tots in a martini glass, but was disappointed when the ribs were over cooked and dry.
(3)Robert G.
Very cool place. Atmosphere was great service was awesome. Food was very good but pricy for what you get. Ribs where not fall of the bone but where tasty and not much fat.

Came stumbling in here one night about 45 minutes before close while I was visiting family in Rhode Island over Christmas vacation. Took a good friend with me, despite us cutting it close we still had a happy waitress and the food was as good as it was when I was a kid. I love ribs and ever since I was young I've been associating ribs with smokey bones ; so I'm happy to see it is still alive and well! I would recommend it for sure.
