I love this place. And despite being compared to my beloved Pinkberry on a similarity basis, there are key differences. For starters, Pinkberry, in my mind, is kinda sorta the healthier, more natural cousin. While not entirely junk food, Orange Leaf is more about sheer variety and fun flavours as opposed to a frozen meal replacement. Sure, Pinkberry gives me that self-delusional feeling of eatin' something "GOOD FOR MAI BODY" but either way, at the end of the day... it's froyo. I totally love that it's self serve with tons of flavours, most of which get rotated out and changed around. Options? Awesome. This particular location (having also been to the one in Seekonk) is kept clean and the service friendly. The pumpkin pie flavour is rocktacular. I have a particular way of setting up my desserts so I honestly prefer being able to customize everything myself (as opposed to having someone else do it behind a counter). At the end of the day, I usually end up with more bang for my buck too once everything is weighed in. (At Pinkberry I'd usually pay $9-12 bucks for two while at Orange Leaf, a $10 gets me more toppings.) If I had any one suggestion for their lil' ole box, as frivolous as it sounds, it would be to please turn down the tunes. Pretty please! I hate having to scream to the cashier/hubby/people around me over the overwhelming thumping noise of Lady Gaga and One Direction. Froyo does not = night club. Still, the OL has a sweet little place as my weekly after grocery treat.

My favorite froyo shop in the area! It is really clean with a ton of toppings! There are also flavors that I have never seen at other froyo places (like gingerbread and toffee). The best part about this place is the fireplace - perfect for a cold day!
(5)Aly K.
Orange Leaf is delicious! There are a ton of different froyo flavors to choose from, all of which sound amazing! The toppings are abundant! The store itself is bright and clean, and the staff was very friendly. The prices are in line with the rest of the local make your own froyo places. I will be back Orange Leaf!

Just tried out this place since I'm such a fan of Berryline. Wow, was I blown away. The set up of the whole establishment really thought out. First of all, it's serve yourself! Just grab the size cup you want, (or waffle cup) and get what you want! Whole wall in the back with awesome flavors of frozen yogurt and staff wandering around to help you try a flavor out. Oh, and you can mix the flavors!!! *squeee* I got red velvet with wedding cake, topped with kit kat crumbles. Most amazing thing ever, tasted like frozen red velvet cupcake. Best part, the amount I got was about a medium with one topping at Berryline..which is about 5-6 bucks. Mine came to $2.38. Oh yeah, and you can't mix flavors at Berryline. I want to marry you Orange Leaf.

Being the second of the froyo 2.0 joints in the area, Orange leaf is destined to be compared to Pinkberry. So first the good... Adequate toppings, lots of flavors, and fun decor. However, the biggest difference is taste and quality. The yogurt here seems grittier and less smooth than Pinkberry. In addition, the flavored yogurts are loaded with artificial colors. I was immediately suspicious when I saw the vast assortment of flavors. A check on the website revealed natural flavor, but loads of artificial color. Pinkberry is all natural. My second issue is the price. I like the idea of self-serve, as it keeps the wait down by quite a bit. However, my creation quickly cost well over 5 dollars, and the cup was by no means overloaded. I feel the PB is a better value. Orange Leaf isn't bad, and I would probably come here again, but I prefer the smoother taste and more natural ingredients (at a lower cost) of PB.

Dirty tables. BLECH!

We tried it a few weeks ago and while there are a lot more flavors and toppings compared to Pink Berry. Froyo was decent but they didnt have as many of the tart varieties that I have come to love. If you are looking for it to be less expensive, its not - you start piling on the toppings and that scale doesnt lie!
(3)Kimberly M.
Nice texture and the fruit flavored rad very good. Not sure if thus is non fat like pink berry. Overall a bright cheerful tasty event.
(4)Will G.
I really do like it so much better than Pinkberry. Place has a grey look an feel and the yogurt ice cream is great.

Brought my niece here! She had a blast pouring the frozen yogurt into the cup and putting fun toppings on her yogurt! Well definitely be visiting here again. I also loved that there were chairs short enough for my 4 year old niece! She loved being able to pick her own toppings!

My husband and I took our son here a few weeks ago. I love the concept! There was a wide variety of froyo flavors. I loved the sticky toffee! Its great that they also offered a wide variety of fruit toppings too especially for our son who enjoyed his with blueberries and strawberries. Seating is a little difficult if you have a little one. Luckily my son is just about big enough to sit in one of the chairs independently, at least they are low to the ground. But, if you have a little one who needs a high chair, be prepared to have them seated on you lap.

This yogurt is awsome the varieties are great in flavors and toppings. A little pricey I'd u overload lol. But better than pink berry..

While I am not a frozen yogurt guru, I feel this place deserves 4 starts after visiting there for my first time tonight. The atmosphere is great! there are a couple comfy couches around the fireplace, and ultra modern tables/chairs. I really enjoy the fireplace because it gives it that warm look and feel you need during the winter time sit down and eat something frozen! They had a variety of flavors and you can even mix two of them together at a time to get a different flavor. After you fill your bowl with yogurt, you get to load on the toppings ranging from fruit, to bits and pieces of candies and cookies. They also have your generic topics; sprinkles, caramel, chocolate, etc. I really like the location, as the closest thing to this in the area is the pinkberry in Garden City (Cranston). I thought the price was reasonable for the amount I got, it was fun, and I plan on returning! This place could be dangerous!

Warwick area popped up with a half dozen yogurt shops and some never made it except for orange leaf and Pinkberry. I like orange leaf better than Pinkberry which has a better selection. Monthly switch to different flavors and a better rewards system
(5)Joe M.
I will always be more of an ice cream man, but as far as froyo chains go this is one of my favorites. I like that it's self serve and you can swirl some flavors.
(3)Lisa O.
A good selection of frozen yogurt flavors without too many chocolate-based flavors (unlike the Seekonk location). Large selection of toppings but healthy and not. I would like it if they had some more fruit. The actual store is huge! Lots of seating and they keep it clean. This location also attracts lots of families. It's not my favorite froyo, but then again, this is not New York.

Update 1/23/14: Oreo cookie cake was soooo much better today. Also they had Mango this time. Kinda tasted peachy, but I quite enjoyed it. Again the kids working there were super friendly and personable. ************************************** I'm obsessed with ice cream, soft at that. So since it's the middle of winter, looks like froyo is my best bet. It seems to me that frozen yogurt is the new hit thing. I personally don't mind it, but don't hate it. It's a nice substitute, but I rather have the fatty, creaminess that is frozen custard! Enough of that. Orange Leaf is interestingly decorated. Modern and orange. The seats look seriously uncomfortable, but my girlfriend and I opted to sit on the couch next to the fire. The acoustics are awful, forcing you to talk louder than necessary. I could never be here on a day that it was seriously busy. The place was clean which I appreciated. The toppings were all filled, but not all labeled. The staff were super friendly and of course tastings were offered. There were about a dozen options and I only really enjoyed the coffee and Oreo cookie cake...but I didn't love it by any means... My gf and I went here after a sushi date because there was a groupon. I honestly wouldn't pay $6 dollars for what I got, it's just not worth it. But with the groupon, I was perfectly fine with it. Frozen yogurt, after all the added toppings is not at all healthier than ice cream itself. I rather just have ice cream honestly. Overall our experience was fine. As I have two more groupon vouchers for $6, I will be returning.

I love FROYO and there are so many choices in such a little area. It seems this place has really taken a liking to the New England market, and I can see why they've been a hit. Bright colors, fun marketing, loyalty cards... The FROYO itself is tasty, but some of the flavors are terribly artificial tasting. Stick to the typical tart, chocolate, peanut butter and vanilla flavors. Don't look at the ingredient lists. Not a healthy alternative to ice cream, may be low fat but the sugar content is through the roof....especially with the topping bar. I prefer the more natural flavors and smaller portion sizes of pink berry... The staff at this location is the worst...cell phones are always out and I always feel like bothering them. The owners son (maybe) is rude...and overly flirty with females...which is offensive. Better options - pinkberry in the mall or Chill Out Loud near the airport.

I took my cousin here today for her b-day and it was both of our first time trying OL. I think it was really good we both had the birthday cake frozen yogurt and the quality was alot better then I expected. There were so many flavors and even more toppings it was so hard to choose! The inside was really cute and fun with good music playing. We had a good time and definitely plan on going back again soon :)

I've gotten addicted to Fro Yo. I like Orange Leaf selection of flavors the best. I've been collecting the spoons (got the idea from FroYo Girl), and came up with this idea: yelp.com/biz_photos/oran… Now I may actually remember what's where in my herb garden: yelp.com/biz_photos/oran…

As a general rule I am not a fan of buffet-style food service. The sanitation level is just never up to par. I often find some dirty-mitted child (sometimes mine) digging into the food selections. Even more disturbing? If I don't see a dirty-mitted child, I look for signs that they have been there. Yes - I have buffet line phobia. But at least I can admit it. Orange Leaf is a buffet lovers delight...which is the stop after mine on the food lover train. This outfit is the ulitmate in DIY frozen delight niche. You select your own container (small bucket) and you get to serve your own flavor of frozen yogurt from a selection of roughly a dozen varieties. Not sure of what flavor you'd like? No problem. The helpful servers will serve up a thimble-size serving of your choice before you commit. My favorite is mango - fruity, fresh and slightly tart. The yogurt machines are quite clean, with pressurized pull levers that dole out your froyo. Have an unrequited dream of being the cool kid in high school working at the soft-serve ice cream palace? Here is the place to live out your dream!! The big draw here is the massive selection of toppings - juicy boba, crumbled candy, crushed cookie, freshly sliced fruit and a surprisingly wide variety of chopped nuts...the list is seemingly endless. I wish the cheery staff were a bit more militant about keeping people from snacking out of the dishes. It just grosses me way out. In a way, I can't blame people. I mean it is so massively overwhelming in a Willy Wonka sort of way. Even normally restrained people could be expected to have a wayward hand in the dark chocolate chips in the midst of a sugar trance. I stick with the fruit options and the whipped cream that comes out of a standing whipped cream dispenser. I do not use the can of whipped cream that sometimes is there. Just too risky for me. My husband and kids do not share my phobia and dig in with wild topping abandon and come up with some pretty impressive combos. Everything is done by weight so just be aware that kids will probably need some supervision lest you end up paying $5 for a container of gummy worms and a little froyo. . It is a comfy place to head out for a family outing, date night or meet up with friends. I have been here a handful of times...will probably return

I really love this place. It's got a cozy fireplace and a bunch of flavors. I use it as bribery with my five year old. "If your good at trader joes I'll buy you froyo." So far so good. I'm boring and always get the pineapple coconut with pineapples, coconut flakes, granola, and honey. Like sunshine in a cup. My lil man switches it up but always adds gummy bears. He loves the chocolate, mango and vanilla with orange. They sell groupons sometimes too.
(5)Sarah A.
OK.., so basically you are paying for the toppings.. The ice cream/yogurt soft serve is like any other place-nothing special.. Where they get you is when you start adding toppings.. And before you know it, you have a $10 small cup of toppings with a tiny squirt of the ice cream.. Yes, there's a large assortment of jimmies, fruit, sauces, nuts, candy, and some other gourmet stuff.. But I'm not sure if it's worth all the hype...ice cream and toppings by the pound seems slightly crazy... Parents beware-- watch your kids..as its too easy for the little ones to start dumping piles of gummy worms and other candies in their cup..

Orange leaf is pinkberry for the ice cream lover; the concept is the same frozen yogurt, add your favorite toppings but the flavors are less tart. Also, orange leaf gives you the chance to truly "make your own" as all of the toppings are available buffet style. You can have as much or as little of everything as you would like, super customizable. Based on this fact alone, for me, this location has to be a sometimes treat as it is easy to over indulge. My personal favorite is when they have waffle cone dishes! As a person who can eat ice cream or frozen yogurt all year round I am beyond OK with soft serve establishments being the new trend. Bring them on, and grab me a spoon.

Froyo and Fireplaces Orange leaf is one of the new froyo places that seem to be popping up in Rhode Island. This one was very similar to the Orange Leaf that I went to in Florida except for the lack of outdoor seating. It's a typical self serve with about a dozen different flavors, including the usually vanilla and chocolate but also English toffee, oatmeal raisin, caramel apple and birthday cake. A nice selection. Lot of toppings with the usual stuff including fruits and nuts and some nice chocolate and carmel sauces. Everything seemed fresh and well filled. The inside was packed with tables as well as a little counter. However if you look over to the side you will notice a fireplace with a real fire. Well actually it was a gas and not a wood fire but if sill was pretty cool to eat froyo in front of a fire.

Four stars- and I absolutely hate the yogurt. Let me explain... If you like frozen yogurt- you won't be too happy. It's seriously not good. But if you like ice cream and soft serve- this will be great. I come here more often than I will like to admit because my baby sister is a teen and LOVES THIS PLACE. And honestly, I don't mind THAT much. Here's why: 1. This place is great for kids. Now while I don't have kids, I have friends that do and it's great to have a spot to go with them. 2. The yogurt is in those cool soft serve dispensers in the wall in twos (I think there's like 10+ flavors). This means that you can swirl and mix and match. 3. They have many, many toppings buffet-style. Fruit. Cereal. Candy. All kinds of toppings. 4. Trader Joe's is next door...

I love this place! Let me start by saying I have no idea how many calories are in the yogurt, but it tastes too good to be "light" I indulged one evening while out shopping with my daughter, I tried the gingerbread frozen yogurt with the moshi toppings. I was in heaven. I have no idea what moshi is, but I am a fan! The atmosphere is young, just right for my 13 year old daughter. There are plastic chairs and a couch in white and orange. There is a great fireplace and a big screen TV you can use while you enjoy the best froyo !
(4)Robert M.
So this is yogurt and not Ice-cream. I am not usually a fan of yogurt, but this joint just opened up next to Trader Joes and the daughter wanted to visit. It has a great open sitting space and the setup to get your yogurt is unusual.. out of the wall. They have he set up with two flavors next to each other that you can get solo or mix. There are several stations like this and the combos can make for some interesting pairings. The add on's, such as Jimmies or candies are in the center and you help yourself. Then off to pay by the weight. The quality was very good and the price is reasonable. I guess if you spend a lot, you kind of have to blame yourself right? They are open in the winter, which I have questioned why Rhode Island ice cream parlors all seem to shut in the winter; but they are open and doing good business.
(4)Ashlee S.
Yum yum yum! Get the rewards card, it pays off! Friendly staff, always clean. Tons and tons of fully stocked toppings and a bunch of yogurt flavors.
(5)Tina Z.
The frozen yogurt is not the best I've had. I like that it's self serve and u can put ur own toppings but I don't like that the employees have to give u a sample. That just seemed odd and unsanitary..at least wear gloves if ur going to hand it to me. The employees here were rude and didn't seem like they knew what's going on. I'm only giving 3 stars for the yogurt but the services is only one star.

Having been a regular of froyo for at least 10 years in the city, I know when I taste quality froyo. Red Mango, Pinkberry, and even Froyo World on Thayer Street offer consistent quality favor. Orange Leaf is sadly a wannabe froyo establishment that jumped on the bandwagon of a fad. Here, the froyo itself tastes distinctly artificial and not clean, simple, and refreshing. Perhaps, it is because I've only tried the fruit and original flavors, not chocolate or the other eclectic flavors offered here. Yes, there are many flavors to choose from, but quality is more important than quantity. Once, when I dug into my blueberry topping, I found that half of the blueberries tasted rancid...just straight up medicinal. Never again for me.
(1)Marbeth C.
I was very disappointed with the consistency of the yogurt. It was not very frozen. It was almost melting. There are many topping choices though. I loved that they had hot fudge and hot caramel. The whipped cream was sitting in a metal holder, not chilled, nothing keeping it cold. It was warm. We asked for a cold one. Bad cream can make you very sick. The female cashier was unkempt. Honestly not trying to be judgmental, but her hair was a mess and she had hickies all over her neck. The atmosphere is great! It is very big with tables and chairs and couches. There is a nice gas fireplace that was not on. There is a tv that had one of the news stations on. Overall I was unhappy with the consistency of the yogurt. We have gone to a lot of froyo places. The ones in California are the best. If the froyo isn't frozen, it's hard to enjoy it.

First off let me say this place blows pinkberry out of the water. The flavors are way better and they have a fun bunch of toppings. That being said, it was also reasonably priced. 4 ice creams for 20$. I opted for a sectioned off split of peanut butter (topped with a drizzle of Reese's peanut butter and pieces), chocolate mint (with junior mints and waffle cone) and cookies and cream (with m&ms and fruity pebbles) The cookies and cream was the only drab flavor. Everything else was spot on. My only complaint... A 12oz can of Coke... $2.50 yes.... Two and a half dollars for a CAN. Ill be back but froyo only at this place.
(3)William K.
A new cool froyo place. Self serve from like 20 different flavors of froyo. You serve yourself the yogurt, then you put on what ever you want for toppings. There are probably 50 different toppings. The yogurt is very flavorful and not to sugary. Once you are done you take your creation and pay by the ounce. I ended up with a hearty bowl of goodness for right around 5 bucks. The hazlenut froyo is very tasty. I'll be back.
(4)Erik D.
Loved it here! I found Orange Leaf to have more variety and options than most froyo shops I've been to. I'm a fan of doing everything myself, and OL lets you do that. The space is HUGE, bright, welcoming, tons of places to sit with friends, and a great fireplace to cozy up to during the cold weather. I love the unique flavors that I haven't found most places, and more toppings than I can handle. The ONLY thing I wish they had were peanut butter to top your treat with. I love that Trader Joe's is next door...another great pit stop after enjoying some froyo that tastes pretty much like real ice cream!
(5)Kristi L.
I'm torn on this place, especially because I've grown to have fond feelings for Pinkberry. So I'll let them duke in out, Froyo Ring style. Flavors: Orange Leaf takes the round. I couldn't believe how many flavors that were available - somewhere between 10 and 12 at least. And, the flavors were less tangy than those at Pinkberry. I guess it's a matter of preference in terms of which flavor is better, but going by sheer numbers it's OL 1, PB 0. Toppings: I'll call this a draw. Both places offer more or less the same toppings, but once again Orange Leaf has volume over Pinkberry. Downside, the toppings are self serve and the idea of little grubby hands getting their own toppings nauseates me. Service: PB has this hands down. The folks are cheery, helpful, and are easy to chat with. I found the folks are Orange Leaf a bit apathetic. I get it, you work at a Froyo place...just pretend you like to serve me yogurt and humor me. Decor: Another draw. Both places are a bit quirky. I guess it's just a matter of if you prefer lime green walls over baby blue ones. I'm indifferent. Spoons: Orange Leaf. They are literally little shovels. Love it. (This was a gimme category FYI). Price: I give this to Orange Leaf with a HUGE caveat. Though from what I saw the prices here were much more reasonable than Pinkberry, a word of caution: this place is self serve, and they give you containers that are ginormous. It is extremely easy to go heavy on yogurt and toppings, and end up spending quite a bit. If you have a good amount of self-control and an eye for portions, you will do fine. So there you go Orange Leaf - this Yelper gets you. But only slightly more than Pinkberry.
(3)Jillian C.
I love this place. The atmosphere is bright, friendly, and there's a fireplace and a TV, as well as chairs and couches. There are so many flavors to choose from, you're bound to find a flavor you like. They also have separators to put in your bowl so you can have a couple different flavors without having to mix them together. They also have employees near the machines with little thimble size cups, and they offer you a sample of as many flavors as you want, so you don't get a flavor you don't like. The toppings are great, too. Not all of them are labeled, (although they should be) but most of them are, and there is a lot to choose from. Candy, fruit, cookies, nuts, etc. There are also a number of sauces (caramel, white chocolate, peanut butter) that you can top your froyo with. The price is a little steep, but I recommend getting a rewards card, because those help a lot.
(4)Joe B.
After visiting Trader Joe's I usually stop by Orange Leaf. I love their variety of toppings and can't help but overindulge a bit. Toppings range from Oreos to Butter Finger to Captain Crunch to the healthier choices such as granola, banana , etc. I love the futuristic-feeling interior and color scheme. In all a great place to have frozen yogurt, just be ready to dip into your wallet to satisfy your taste buds.
