Food's always good here, service is sufficient to superior, and they take care to make sure they accommodate special requests. When they expanded, they improved their interior, and it's nicely decorated inside. The only thing that irks me a little is that the entrance leads directly to their bar. By itself, it's pretty and a decent showcase, but having to walk past the drunken riffraff to get inside doesn't appeal to me.

I went to Lemongrass a couple of years ago after the urging of my co-workers. The food was awful, and my lunch combo came with chicken wings which still had feathers attached. Yuck... Since then, I've been going to the nail salon next door every other week for about 2 years. I decided one afternoon to stop in for salad and nime chow. Nime chow was crazy greasy and flavorless. Pretty disappointing. The salad was supposed to be accompanied with ginger dressing (which is usually one of my all time favorites.) Sadly it tasted a lot like oil and soy sauce. The hot and sour soup was pretty good.

If I can leave 0 star, I will do it. Terrible service! And the soda is not free refill! What the hell! You guys are not sell bottle soda, you just use soda machine, why the soda is not free refill! Do the boss only think about the money! How terrible! We were setting there to wait our check! However, there was no people to ask us anything in 15 mins! The sushi chefs talked so loud with servers over 30 mins! I just wanna say everything is horrible! Won't come back again!

This place has not grown well. The food was much better before they expanded. The sushi is pretty mediocre and they always get the order wrong. Too bad

I was pregnant. I needed pad thai. This place DELIVERED. Excellent pan asian menu, great service. They apparently have a room or space for special functions/ larger groups as we saw a group hilariously bringing in a large array of very Italian desserts for a birthday. Very close to the airport.

First off, I think it's only fair to mention that Seattle is home and we have some fantastic authentic Thai restaurants. I was staying near the Providence airport and wanted Thai food and this place had the highest rating with a large number of reviews. Now let me tell you about my experience... It's not actually a Thai restaurant, it's more of an Asian fusion place. A combo of mostly Chinese, some Japanese, a few Thai elements and even some Vietnamese. When I walked in, I was surprised by the entrance. You walk to to the bar and have to walk past to the host stand/order/pickup counter. I was greeted by a very polite woman who asked me what I wanted to order. I read the order for a few minutes and was disappointed by the number of Thai offerings. Over half the menu was Chinese and over a third was Japanese and Thai and Vietnamese made up the rest. Tired after a long day of work and being hungry, I ordered the fresh spring rolls, broccoli shrimp and a Thai iced tea. I added extra shrimp to the order and they were an extra $0.75 each. I added 10 and the order came to $25. I paid and waited for my order -- she said roughly 10-15 minutes. While I sat and waited, I say across from the bar in the waiting area and watched person after person come in for their phoned in to-go orders. Even if it's not authentic, the place is popular and cranks some serious food volume -- I guess I cannot fault their menu because it's obviously working for the local audience. There was a man and woman who came in while I waited who grabbed a menu and had the same "where's the Thai?" reaction that I did. They ended up deciding to leave in search of more authentic Thai food. When my order came up, a new woman handed it to me and was super friendly. Instead of double checking my order I decided to live a little and wait to open when I got back to my hotel room. I have to laugh. I just examined the contents of my order: 1. Thai iced tea: its simply a cup of iced tea, a small cup of what looks like corn syrup and two coffee creamers. That's a new take on Thai iced tea. 2. Fresh spring rolls: the rolls themselves were pretty tasty and fresh. They lacked a real shrimp presence but they were decent. The peanut sauce they came with was a strange clear liquid. It sort of tasted like peanuts but was way too sweet and watery. Not a true peanut sauce. 3. Broccoli shrimp: its a good thing I paid for the extra 10 shrimp -- because that's all I received -- only 10. It was ok. Americanized Chinese food (meat and veggies slathered in sugar sauce). All in all, it was very disappointing. Maybe this is the norm here but it certainly is not where I'm from. I don't think I'd eat here again nor recommend it to anybody -- especially anybody looking for Thai food. Maybe I should have followed the lead of the man and woman who decided to go elsewhere!

In the last few months the quality seems to have dropped. Specifically with their wings. If you are going to undercook something do it to the rice. Never should chicken wings leave a place if they have not cooked completely. This has to be the third time in as many months. Time to move on and try somewhere else. I don't have time to drive back and have them cook wings again. I end up just throwing them in the trash.

Very accommodating and great food. The Tom Ka soup was great. They allowed me to create my own custom sushi roll and it was absolutely amazing, exactly how I wanted it. The menu is very extensive and very good through multiple food spectrums. I will be back!

Still 5 stars, I'm happy to report. Lemongrass greatly expanded about a year or more ago. We went once in the middle of the expansion, (we've been coming here for seven years!!) and service was not good. And cuisine not up to par on that one occasion. We love Lemongrass and so decided to wait a considerable amount of time (many months) before going back. We went last night and both the food and service were beyond EXCELLENT! Wonderful and terrific, just as we remembered and we're SO happy. We had vegetarian dumplings, hot and sour soup, salad, sizzling beef and Thai shrimp. Everything came exactly as ordered (no spice for my shrimp dish, please)! And we're too stuffed for dessert. Five Stars, Lemongrass. Your renovation is lovely! You are still our favorite Asian cuisine restaurant in RI! PS. They also have a significant sushi menu, and their sushi is fresh and delicious, not to mention novel, as well. They also a nice bar in the front of the restaurant.

Bigger inside than it appears on the outside. Paintings on the wall throws off the experience of an Asian restaurant. I got the nim chow which was good. Came out too quick though like right after we ordered so they must pre wrap those during the day. I got the hot stuff roll and my boyfriend got the sexy lady roll... Big sizes taste was ok. My boyfriend also ordered their general Tao not much flavor but it did have a good amount of meat although the batter for the chicken wasn't that good kind of soggy. Our waitress wasn't attentive. Went Mia on us after all the food was out.

Some Of the best sushi I've ever had. Always fresh, always lite and the spicy mayo is amazing! I've had 3 different rolls today but in all I've tasted at least 7 different style rolls from here and all are yummy. The fried is a mixture of veggies and your choice of meat. Never waited for then 15min for a takeout order and maybe 15 or less for a sit down dinner inside. Highly recommended and the prices average and are not expense.

  • Altena L.

Great Asian restaurant with tons of variety! Service is good and the food is delicious!! Their nim chow is great! Sushi, pineapple fried rice and dumplings are great! Also, pad Thai is good! Anything I've had here is excellent! If you do take out they are very timely but always announce a number for you to refer to instead of your name. They have redone the restaurant and it's beautiful, colorful, and clean! Their bar is nice too! The Mai Tai here was delicious! ! Such a huge selection of food; you could have Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Thai from what I can tell! Everything is great!!

From Pad Thai to Sushi to Sashimi to Nime Chow to Sesame Chicken to drinks... I'm a regular who likes to vary my order, and everything I have ordered here has been delicious! I'm particularly impressed by the Nime Chow, which is easy to wrong & they get it so right! Yum!!!

Best Chinese food in RI hands down! Their staff is very friendly, they have comedy shows that are hilarious. Visit once and you'll become a regular!

First let me begin, the food was like McDonald's of Asian food. Fast and tasted bland. The waitress was horrible! And imagine this, her name was Joy! She was so not full of joy. Looked like she had been sucking a lemon all day, so miserable. She took our order and when I asked her what a dish was I thought she was going to have a stroke, as I guess I put her out. Crazy huh?. She never came back to the table to ask if we were happy with the food, never gave us a plate for the bones for our chicken wings or napkins. Never asked us if we needed anything or if we would like tea. I am a very good tipper, and was tempted to leave nothing but a note that said, here is your tip, never swim alone. I left a tip because it is the right thing to do yet I will never return there again. That's a fact.

The atmosphere is fun at the bar and romantic at the tables. The decor is beautiful, I was in awe when I saw how pretty it was inside. The sushi is quite big, so open wide...the chicken pad Thai was phenomenal but the chicken fingers that came with that combo were way over fried, kinda shriveled up the chicken. I gave this 4 stars bc overall the food was great except for that one item and I can't wait togi back and try the nine chow and more sushi!!

Went on VJ Day & when we tried to order from the lunch menu we were told we couldn't because of the holiday. Then we literally waited for our bill for 15 minutes before we had to finally ask the server for it because he was totally ignoring us. Food was good but service was terrible & no free refills on soda.

  • Jon D.

High quality food - not cheap - good things usually aren't. We enjoy the good each time we go. Usually we do takeout but it's also a nice place to sit and eat (recently renovated and expanded). The sushi offerings and preparation is FANTASTIC! Just typing this review makes me want to order more :)

  • Jessica S.

Amazing. We had nime chow, pad thai, summer roll, lemongrass chicken/veg, sweet and sour soup, and the lemongrass wings (my fav). The summer roll was the best sushi roll I have ever had. And my usual shirley temple, and blue moon. The only fail in the service was he did not ask us if we wanted dessert, just brought the check. Overall we had a very good experience

  • Abby C.

Come here! This is where you want to go if you want something Asian but you have no clue if it's Chinese or Thai. Some of the sushi rolls are just out of this world amazing too! I plan on making this a staple restaurant in my life, it's just so good.

Fast service, reasonably priced, pretty delicious food. I shared a black dragon roll and an appetizer with nime chow (I think it's called) and for an entree I had the green beans and chicken in garlic thai style. My friend had a lychee martini and a combination entree with rice, green curry and crab rangoon. I don't have much experience with Thai food, but a good portion of their menu seemed to be what I would consider typical American Chinese food down to the chicken fingers and General Tsos. Would go back there again. Would like to try more of their sushi and sashimi.

This is a pretty good Asian American restaurant. In some ways, I think it's the Warwick version of North Kingstown Seven Moons. A massive menu- seriously massive. There's Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Chinese cuisine available. The place was packed. There was a line of people to the door waiting to order or pick up their take out orders. The bar was almost completely full. Yet, we only waited about 5 minutes for a table (even though we were not sure where the host/hostess station was located- kind of a confusing layout). It's nicely decorated and quite clean. Highlights from our dinner: lemon grass chicken, nime chow, beef bee bong, and crab rangoons. Is it the most authentic food? No. Is it good? Yes. Is it better than a lot of other places around town? Yes. Would I go back? Possibly, I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to Asian cuisine.

Excellant and amusing. Two words to describe this place. I visited lemongrass after a long time, perhaps 4 years, and was amazed at the transformation. From being a corner take out asian place, it had transformed into this beautiful restaurant. Food quality had remained the same, with a few touches of finesse. Ordered sumptuous quantities of appetizers and entrees. We were able to wipe clean all the dishes as they were delicious. Will definitely recommend this place. Will be going back there soon

Had a great time! I went here with a friend and we both were very happy. We got crab Rangoon as an appetizer and they were great! My friend is not into raw fish and so she had a sweet potato roll. She thought it was great. I had a salmon roll and enjoyed every bite!

We're at this place often. They recently expanded so it's great for a large party but take out or bar seating is the way to go. They have a huge menu. The summer roll, seafood naruto, shrimp dumplings and nim chow are some of their best dishes. They also have a great lunch deal. Service is fast and polite and the bar tenders usually have a heavy hand!

  • Sarah A.

I love Lemongrass..The staff is always friendly, the place is always clean, and their prices are very reasonable. I love their Nim Chow and Wonton Soup- might be the best I've ever had.. I've tried many if their dishes throughout the years and I've yet to come across one that I don't like. Lemongrass has gone through a major transformation this past year, adding about three times the size and a classy interior. I do miss how they used to give a cucumber salad to munch on while waiting for the food though...

Just tired Lemongrass for the first time. Unfortunately I will definitely not be dining there again. First, I should clarify, I ordered take-out, so this review is not applicable to the restaurant itself, just the quality of the food. I ordered Chicken fingers, Unakyu Roll, and a salmon roll. Worst sushi I have ever eaten in my entire life. Seriously, Stop & Shop has better sushi than this place, it amazes me that they charge money for this garbage. That said, if I really had to assess the quality of Lemon Grass' food, I would say it's like Chinese fast food--low quality, mediocre taste, and temperature of the food was all wrong. The sushi was luke-warm and felt like it was sitting on a counter top for hours, had to throw most of it out. The chicken was soggy and tasted chewy (frozen chicken anyone?) If there was any suggestion I could give, DO NOT ORDER FOOD FROM HERE, THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE.

We ate at Lemongrass tonight after running some errands in Cranston and Warwick. The good reviews on Yelp are what led me to Lemongrass. I was not too interested in much of what was on the menu but on the last page of entrees I saw some Vietnamese dishes that looked great. We ordered and were very happy with the Nime Chow, Bee Boong with pork, and Bahn Hoi with pork. The Bahn Hoi did not come with chili sauce but on request it was provided and definitely made that dish shine. Our waiter was very nice and politely corrected a mistake on our bill. Our waiter also gave us some tips on places to check out in Providence (we are infrequently in Warwick and are on the hunt for good Pho). I am looking forward to stopping by Lemongrass, again, whenever I find myself in Warwick.

My family & I dined here last night & everything was amazing! Our waitress was very friendly & accommodating & all of us were so pleased with our meals. I personally had a hot & sour soup, spicy shrimp roll & beef pad thai & it was all AMAZING. Our table ordered a variety of different options from the menu & everything was brought over so quickly. The sushi rolls were fresh & a good size portion. I would definitely recommend going here if you're looking for quality service & delicious, filling food.

Never had a bad meal at Lemongrass! Love their pineapple fried rice! Great portions and one combination platter is enough for two- General Tso's being the best! The crab Rangoon are great as well. The only reason it gets 3 stars and not 4 is because the service staff can be a bit slow and inattentive but you can always depend on the food being good!

  • John K.

Being a big fan of Thai and Vietnamese cuisine, this place is excellent. I never had a bad meal, food is always cooked to perfection as if the cooks care about what they do. Food is very tasty and they give you more than enough. I love the nim chow and all the pad Thai dishes. The sushi is amazing. Prices are not bad, you definitely get what you pay for along with excellent friendly service.

  • Cass C.

My husband and I love thai food and were really craving pad thai so looked around the warwick area for a restaurant. This was by far the worst pad thai I've ever had. The chicken was slimy and inedible and the sauce came on the side (similar to seven moons in nk which is also not so great). I decided to steer clear of the chicken after a bite and then my husband got really sick from his dish after we got home. 2 stars because the hot and sour soup was good. Veg dumplings were just like the frozen potstickers I get from stop and shop but less flavor. Definitely would not return.

I've been going for years. They have become quite busy. You might have to wait for a table or a seat at the bar in the evening. They seem to be having a rollicking good time in there. Nice people, and the food is good. Jackie the bartender is an angel. There are many, many new faces since the remodel. Some of the new waitstaff need breaking in. The last time I was there, my table was not set, and a young waiter poured tea, from an over filled pot, on my lap! If it was my first time there, I'd walk away with a poor impression but I know otherwise. The owner and his son are also good people. One will probably come by to check on your meal. They put a great deal into the remodel. I tease them that it looks like Jack's Galaxy with the acrylic columns at the bar and flashing lights and dry ice smoke in the sushi! I eat a couple Norwood rolls which are tuna and salmon to start off most of the time. Maki and sushi portions are generous. They have recently raised their prices though. Buggers! My beloved Norwood rolls too. I order a few dishes over and over; Rice noodle soup with beef. Throw in all the herbs and bean sprouts. Cantonese noodles with Chinese broccoli. I get chicken or shrimp. Lots of vegetables and wide noodles. Beef and broccoli, usually as a combo. Crispy pork served in a dark sweet sauce that is strangely addictive. Lemongrass chicken wings. They taste like chunky peanut butter and herbs. Also strangely addictive and very popular. Pad Thai, chicken or shrimp. Food is reasonably priced and I go a lot for the lunch combos. You get nice extras like soup and chicken wings. To be critical for a minute, I miss the pickled vegetables they used to put on the tables. It was mostly cabbage but it was sour and spicy and went well with that first beer. Aside from that, I think they do a good job.

Everythng was just flavorless ( wonton soup ) or too salty. Loved the nime chow though!!!!! Nime chow deserves 5 stars !

If you like pan fried dumplings, get in your car right now and drive there. They make THE BEST in the state. The owner says they hand make them on site and it shows. The sauce served with them is a little vinegary and a little sweet - perfect. Last time I went there I ordered 2 plates of dumplings and nothing else, they are that good. The sweet crispy pork is really good too. The lunch combos during the week include a cup of soup and a couple chicken wings, a very good value. One of my favorites!

I feel really stupid. How many times have I passed Lemongrass without stepping foot inside? Far too many. But hurrah! That has now been corrected with a vengeance. We chose Lemongrass for our 13th anniversary dinner last night. It was HOT, I was not cooking, and we didn't want to drive very far. What to do? Well, of course I'm going to rely on my fellow Yelpers! Thanks to y'all, we had a marvelous dinner. First the boring details (aka...not the food). Lemongrass is located on Post Road adjacent to a small strip plaza and across the street from Cosmic. Parking is good and we were seated immediately by a very friendly hostess who turned out to be our server. Our booth was in the front, right next to the waitress station, but this was the quietest station I've ever seen, so no stress there. Decor is not typical "Chinese", in fact the prints on the walls almost looked...Italian? Anyway...it's soothing, low-key and welcoming. Now on to the really great stuff - food! We started with totally cheesy drinks - 2 Mai Tai's which were good. They came all decked out in classy cups with a half-naked lady embossed on the side and umbrellas up on top - yay! Next on to sushi. Now, I'm a wimp regarding sushi. I don't do raw. So California Rolls as usual and hubby got something he liked (I don't remember - he said it was good!). Mine was prepared correctly and came with all the usual accompaniments. Having skipped lunch, I basically inhaled mine...yummm. I was in the mood to try something a little different for my main dish. And I'm not afraid to ask questions! Our server definitely knew her stuff and pointed me in the right direction. My final selection (and it was tough - lots of great sounding options) was the Vietnamese Bee Bong with chicken. OMG (yes...I really did just use the dreaded "omg"!) this dish is so ridiculously delicious....light with lots of veggies and rice noodles. A peanut sauce is served on the side - be sure to add that in. The portion is more than enough for 2 meals. Hubby had the cashew chicken which also was very good. Mildly irksome was that rice has to be ordered separately. But the prices are so reasonable, I can forgive that easily. Lemongrass, you've caused me to write a gushing review. Are you happy? I am!

Very good place for Asian food. My aunt and uncle live close by, and they took us for lunch. We had the steamed dumplings and I got the chicken with garlic sauce. They're renovating the place so it's a little noisy in parts, but we were seated in a back room that was very nice. They have a HUGE menu including sushi, Thai food, and Chinese food, too, which is a lot of variety. I would come back here the next time I was in the area. Lunch specials were decently priced too, around $6.99-7.99.

Just ordered from Lemongrass for the first time tonight and we really, really liked it. The crab rangoons were delicious and perfectly cooked, the nime chow was one of the best that I've had in RI, and my Pad Thai was awesome. But there were some things that we didn't like -- the boneless spare ribs were incredibly dry, the general tsao's chicken was soggy, and my shrimp in the Pad Thai were under-seasoned and very dry as well. We will definitely still get food from here again, especially because there aren't very many great Thai places in RI, but not everything is excellent.

  • Victoria K.

Overall, I have no complaints about Lemongrass. The service is good and everything I have eaten here as been delicious thus far. The nime chow was tasty, the sesame chicken is very good, the curried chicken is not quite what I expected but it was delicious (I expected it to be more saucy), and the pineapple fried rice is delicious, but not really authentic (missing the curry powder). The lemongrass chicken wings are above and beyond the greatest thing in the universe. They make everything else just pale in comparison. They are my favorite chicken wings outside of Buffalo wings I think I have ever had. They have great spices typical of a Thai curry sauce along with crunchy peanuts to add even more texture and flavor. Seriously, I cannot get enough of these wings. I continue to order other delicious choices off the menu, but not without an order of these wings alongside. Although this isn't really a Thai restaurant per se (it has Chinese and Japanese items on the menu as well), it's a very good ASIAN restaurant in the area. It's a lot closer for me to get takeout from here than somewhere in Providence, so the added convenience definitely makes it a top choice when I'm craving Asian food. If you go here, I highly recommend the wings. Don't forget. I'm serious :)

I have been to Lemongrass at least a half dozen times in the last year. Almost always for a pick up order. I always follow their instructions for pick up in regards to time. Yet on several occasions I had to wait an additional 10-15 minutes for the food to be ready. Just tell me upfront to wait a little longer before coming in. Problem solved. The food is always delicious. The portions are hearty and the price is always fair. On the few occasions I've eaten at the restaurant, the staff were friendly and on point. The place is clean and I would recommend this place to my friends.

With all the good reviews we wete so looking forward to trying lemongrass to start the chilled wine and the nimchow was exellent! But it went south from there We tried the Tai dishes thinking they would be spicey but not only no spice- no flavor- "bland" No better than any chineese place we have been to Maybe we tried the wrong dishes but..... So many restaurants to choose from ...don't think we will be back

Lemongrass, how I love thee. If you have not been to Lemongrass, you are missing out my friend. I can't believe that after living in the area for almost 3 years, I have only just discovered this amazing place. In conversations with the amazing and super friendly staff I have learned this restaurant keeps expanding - which has to tell you something about the food. An order of the nime chow and chicken pad thai and I was completely sold. Top notch nime chow, some of the best I've had in the state. Rolled nicely with fresh sprouts, shrimp and basil. Top with the yummy peanut sauce and you are good to go. I seriously could eat an order by myself, but there is enough to share! Pad thai, again amazing! fresh, warm chicken, noodles, cabbage - just so good. Perfect portion, you will most likely have leftovers which will be delicious the next day. On a liquid note, the scorpion bowls are delicious! Pack a nice punch with nice fruity flavors. You just may find yourself at the bottom of bowl number 2 by evenings end.

I realized the other day that my review was overly sub-par, so I decided to head over to revisit and update. Since I've been here last, Lemongrass has gone through a major renovation. The new entrance and bar area is very well done. Looks very well thought out and inviting. Their secondary dining room/sushi area is now their main dining and they have expanded another 2 storefronts, adding a new dining room and a function room. The food is still spot on. As simple as chicken-rice soup is... Their is very tasty and still one of my favorites around. Friendly service. Good portions. Clean food. And they always accommodate my adoration of spicy food. More business from me is for sure. Keep up the great work.

Lemongrass RI On my last evening in Rhode Island, I was craving Thai, so i asked Yelp and my RI friend to see which of the local Thai restaurants in Warwick were credible as authentic places. The debate between us waged for a good 10 minutes until we decided on Lemongrass, a quaint restaurant not far from where we were located in a small community strip block of restaurants. I only ordered takeout, since my friend and I wanted to watch Monday Night Football together. I looked up the menu online and it took me a good 10 minutes for me to make myself decide on what I wanted. I needed carbs to help my body recover from the trauma and also wanted to personally celebrate running 2 marathons in 2 days in New England, getting closer to my inevitable goal of rocking a marathon in all 50 states. With that said, I ordered 3 entrees, which averaged about $9.00/each. The containers that it came in seemed small, but was loaded with food and yummy goodness. I ordered the pad thai, the combination noodle with chicken, and the Lemongrass curry with shrimp. I did love the curry right off the bat. I was bummed that I did not ask for an order of rice, since the extra carbs would do me good. The pad Thai was good and average. I probably would have been better off dinning in the restaurant, but the NFL game was waiting for us. I actually had to mix the pad Thai with the curry to see what would happen when I did mix the two together. Maybe it was just me, but the combination of aromas and tastes invigorated me and it excited me to the point where it was just too good to be just good. Last, but not least, the combination noodle dish with beef was not eaten that night in conjunction with the NFL game, since I got real full with the 1st two entrees. I did save it for breakfast and lunch on the flights I caught to go home. The combination noodle platter was pretty tasty @ 35,000 feet, let me tell you. The restaurant itself wasn't busy, but the interior was decorated quilted nice. Really wished I could have dined in though. The service I received while getting my take out order was good and swift. Just like any other. Totally recommended if you fancy Thai in Warwick, RI. Support local! B+

The food is amazing and ALWAYS fresh! It is not the typical chinese food you get, that tastes the same almost anywhere. The vegetables are always fresh and crisp. The sushi is fresh and deliscious. Since they have renovated, the inside is much larger and more modern. I absolutly recommend this to anyone!

I went to this restaurant for the first time for lunch and then for dinner. It is a GREAT restaurant for lunch. Huge portions, pretty good staff, and quick turn around, really reasonable prices for the quality. I had the Japanese lunch, which was descent for the price. A huge bowl of miso soup, which I love, and 1 piece Unagi, 5 pieces sweet potato maki, and some wierd diced shrimp rolled up. The shrimp roll was prettty gross, but the sweet potato was great. I also ordered an appetizer platter. The Nim Chow was vegetarian and very tasty. Way too much noodles inside, but that seems to be the norm in the restaurants. The vietnamese fried eggrolls were also home made and okay. The flavor was somewhat off, and I did not find them edible, but my boyfriend loved them! I would rate 4 stars for lunch and 3 stars for dinner. Dinner we ordered, General Taos's Shrimp, Crispy Shrimp, Lemongrass Chicken and Pork. The lemongrass curry tasted like it had too much SUGAR in the sauce, and the flavor was not quite rightly balanced due to the high sugar content in the curry. Personally, I think coconut milk is sweet enough on its own, but didn't like how they seasoned it. Not particularly authentic, nor tasty. The rest of the dishes were sadly mediocre, so can not ever recommend for dinner, if people are coming from out of town. Jackie's Galaxy would be better all around, for the Vietnamese stuff. The General Taos shrimp had a super thick gross batter fried with very little sauce. Not great. The fried shimp also had a super thick gross batter, but my boyfriend liked it. Seemed very Polynesian Chineseish - like 80's style fried bad Chinese food. I am sure somethings are really good, and others not so great. However, I would never chance a dinner with my family there again. Its descent for Rhode Island, and the service is fast, the bar looks fun, the place is huge, they take reservations, and seems to be a local favorite. But the food is eh... So, thumbs up for lunch. The people running the restaurant are very engaged, nice, and really care about your experience. The waiters will cater to customize dishes for more fees. But very happy to accomodate, and super efficient. But interms of food here, not particularly authentic, and way too much catering to some unknown unsophisticated american pallette. If you can give me more of a Vietnamese home cooking I would be much happier. Suggestions to the owners: Have an authentic menu since they have everything else. The Korean dishes actually was a huge surprise. Maybe I'll try that next time! It would also be great to have some Korean side dishes and kimchi on the menu. I would go back for that!

Went back last month and glad to find that the place is still excellent. They still make the best calamari anywhere (and yes, it's my favorite so I try it almost at all restaurants that I go to).

On Yelp reviews, chose to go to Lemongrass for an early dinner. Sat at the bar, and had a very attentive waitress. Seaweed salad was standard (you can buy in freezer section of pretty much any asian market). Chicken with Lemongrass was light, full of fresh vegetables, and spiced excellently! A very nice stop, and served in a very timely manner.

My husband was craving Asian food Friday, but we both wanted to try somewhere different. He remembered a restaurant called Lemongrass in nearby Warwick, RI- it's one of those places we have passed by for years and always have said we should go there, but never had of course. I am glad he thought of it, because it ended up being one of the best Asian restaurant experiences we have ever had. Lemongrass is an "Asian bistro," but I think the only thing that really classifies it as such is that the interior may be a bit more upscale than a typical neighborhood Asian restaurant, plus there's a full bar. We arrived around 7 on Friday night, and only had to wait a few minutes before we were seated at a comfy booth. Now the reason why our Lemongrass experience was so great definitely had to do with the food, which was good, but more so, it had to do with the service. Our waiter was a young boy, probably of high school or college age, and while he wasn't overly talkative, he was ridiculously attentive. He not only brought out every request of ours right away (things like drinks, extra plates etc. . . ), but he made sure to double check we had our entire order once the food came out. He asked us quite a few times if we needed anything (without being annoying), and I was so impressed that I went out of my way not only to tell him how good he was, but his manager too! Anyway, the food at Lemongrass was great too. It was on par with all of my other favorite Asian restaurants, though admittedly, nothing stood out as "the best" I have ever had. We started with some green tea- I wish it came out in a pot rather than in individual mugs because I had to ask for refills quite a few times. I started with one of my favs- nime chow, or fresh spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce. It was delicious and as tasty as I have had anywhere else. We also had some vegetarian spring rolls (the fried kind), and they were fresh, crispy and full of crunchy veggies. For dinner, we enjoyed some veggie fried rice. Again, it was very good- the rice was perfectly cooked and not mushy at all. I also appreciated how it wasn't too greasy but still quite flavorful. I also ordered their vegetarian pad thai without egg. My only complaint about it was that there was almost too many peanuts sprinkled on top! Pad thai is a bit sweet to begin with, so the excessive peanuts actually made it a tad too sweet. The noodles were perfect though. Ultimately, Lemongrass was a big hit- the food is just as good as anywhere else I have been with a similar menu, but the service really took it over the top!

Best Nime Chow in Rhode Island, there I said it. I come back time and time again for it. I was so pleased when they added the sushi bar now I can get the best of both worlds when I order take out. Another pro is their prices are not over the top. Take out and dine in service is always pretty quick, I don't think I have ever waited to be seated. I have noticed some comments about rude service but I do not think rude is the case, if anything it is a language barrier with some of the staff but the owner or manager who I always see working has always been very kind and friendly. I have never waited too long for a bill or for my food. Super impressed with most of the food. The sushi is not my favorite but it is really good. Whenever I try to check in my app tells me I am too far away and that makes me sad because I am defiantly a regular here!!!

Amazing sushi! Lemongrass recently underwent a massive renovation, and the inside is gorgeous. If bright colors are your thing, the new bar is the perfect place to have a great meal and a top-notch scorpion bowl. If you're more into a muted pallette, then head to the dining room and enjoy your meal there. Oh yeah, the sushi...I mentioned it's amazing, right? The sexy lady roll is heaven in a slightly-oversized bite, and is by far my favorite roll. However, before i dive into the amazingness, I always start out with the best Nime Chow I've ever had. Seriously, get the Nime Chow, even if you dont usually like it. It's unbelieveable. Not only is the food amazing, but the prices are more than reasonable. If there is an opposite of sticker shock, then it's the feeling you get when you get your check at Lemongrass.

I have mixed thoughts about this place. I've never been for dinner, only lunch and take-out. I recall one instance going in there with a friend and having a groupon or $10 gets you $25 type deal. We presented it at the beginning of the meal, expiration still valid, and the waitress said they no longer took them and we could not use it. I thought that this was really poor service. There wasn't even a discussion about it, just a straight up no. I'm not the biggest fan of this waitress as is though. She's one of those older New York Italian/Jew nag types that RI seems to have a lot of. You know what I mean, the ones who have the whiny voice, act like they know all etc. Yup, that type...talk amongst yaselves. Other than this lady I can't stand - the food is quite delicious! One thing that separates them from other southeast asian cuisine in RI is Pad Thai Country Style which is a recipe the chef and his relative, can't recall the specific relationship, managed to concoct. For those who like the spicier side but still want flavor try this. It might not be on the menu so just ask if they still do Pad Thai Country Style. The Thai restaurant in Cedarville, MA (right off Rt 3 exit 2) is the only other location I know of where you can get this style of pad thai. It's totally worth the try! The restaurant is VERY clean for you germophobes, the prices are fair and the atmosphere is delightful. Save room and head over to Rita's just two businesses down in the plaza for some delicious Italian Ice. My favorite is juicy pear ;)

Alway amazing. I come from the west coast and when I moved to RI I asked my husband for a good asian food place and he brought me to Lemongrass. That was four years ago and I have been back multiple times ever since. It's only one of two places my husband will eat sushi, and whenever I have a craving that's where we go. We recently moved from Cranston to Pawtucket and we still make an attempt to visit at least once a month. Wouldn't hesitate to recomend it to my family and friends living on the west coast when they come to visit. I tend to be VERY picky about the type of fish I eat since I grew up next to the Pacific. Amazing food and amazing service! 5 Stars!!!

One of my go to places when I'm in the mood for take out Americanized Chinese food with the occasional Pad Thai and sushi options as well. The soup makes for a good home remedy when I'm in desperate need of fluids when I'm under the weather. The place is located on the busy Post Road and they're definitely got good business if the parking lot is packed every night and people are still in the restaurant close to closing time. At the take out counter I would see rows of orders from pick up customers. A very upscale feel to the place complete with a fully stocked bar and intimate lighting. There's a larger sitting area on the right side that I haven't been privy to but I recall hearing people asked to be seated over there when there are empty booth seats at the entrance. The few times I ate here, service was great and haven't had to twist anybody's arm. All in all this beats any of the small hole in the wall typical Chinese take out restaurants and the pricing is spot on.

I love Lemongrass. It is my favorite local restaurant that I find myself going back to over and over again. They're in the process of renovating the restaurant so it looked a little funky the last time I was in there, but I think it's temporary. Their food is light and fresh. In a sea of greasy, Americanized Chinese food that plagues Warwick, Lemongrass is heads above the rest! I particularly like their spicy scallop roll, the bee bong (so fresh, so delicious), and their sweet crispy pork. I tend to order the same things when I visit because it's always so good, but my friends and boyfriend have explored the menu and no one in my party has ever complained! The presentation for the sushi specials are fun and better than I've seen in many other restaurants. The servers are beyond friendly, and the timing of the food is just right. Oh, and they make a killer scorpion bowl. Designate a driver, because they're legitimately that strong!

I came here this past Friday night. It was pretty crowded so we sat at the bar. Tonia the bartender was great. Started out by splitting a scorpion bowl which was delicious. For food we got three different sushi rolls which were all awesome. One was the Rhode Island roll and I forgot the others. Nice presentation and friendly service. I will definitely be back!

Lemongrass is a catch-all asian restaurant "specializing" in thai, japanese (sushi), and chinese food. Having tried the two former in one sitting, I feel that Lemongrass has strengths, and let's call them opportunities for improvement [a throw back to my years in management]. STRENGTH (4.5*): *Thai food - we ordered the nime chow (can the thai claim this appetizer found in the 'thai' section of the menu?). It arrived abundantly in two thick rolls with bowl-licking sauce. Seriously, there wasn't enough of the delicious nuoc mam juice served with crushed peanut topping to go around. Then, we ordered the pad thai with beef and believe me, it's big enough to share. Again with the sauces - delicious - and the beef was juicy and tasted ever fresh. The thai iced tea is a steal at $1.95, but I found it funny (or good hosting) that they bring you the cream and simple syrup for you to mix to desired consistency on your own. Now for the OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVEMENT (2*): *Sushi - Ehh is all I can muster. We ordered regular rolls and special rolls and I'm sorry to report that there's nothing special about the special rolls. At double the price with just two additional pieces, you're better off saving the cash and seriously considering doing sushi someplace else like my beloved Sakura. The fish itself lacked taste and a knowledgeable sushi chef - the rolls just didn't seem to be crafted with love or flavor. NEED MORE INTERACTION WITH BEFORE COMMENTING: *Cocktails - all of which are very resonably priced between $5.95-$6.95. *Chinese food - it might be awhile since my last bout of food poisoning from a hole in the wall in 2004. Would be a 3.5 but since they have cheap cocktails, I'm tipped in favor of the 4* rating.

Great food and good prices. I had take-out, so I didn't see the interior much. The food was ready when they said and it was very good. Pork Pad Thai and Sashimi appetizer.

I'm a little stunned at all the reviews raving about the Pad Thai here. I don't know what exactly I got but it was defiitely not Pad Thai. Not even close. It was more like some of the Vietnamese noodle dishes I've had, where the noodles come out and there's a separate bowl of sauce (that wasn't very pad-thai-tasting either) that you pour over the dish. And to add insult to injury, it didn't even come close taste-wise. You could tell from the color of the sauce that they used absolutely zero tamarind, which is one of the four key ingredients. Ditto for the fish sauce. Just.... no. Wrong, so very wrong. Based on a photo posted here by someone else, I wonder if maybe they just brought me the wrong dish. It was seriously that far out of the taste-universe even though everything else looked right. Although.... add a tiny little bowl to the picture posted here and that's what we got, so who knows. And even if that is the case? They went double-down on the mistake, because another person in our group ordered it as well and got the same not-pad-thai thing that I did. The service was fine, the interior was surprisingly pleasant considering it's in a strip mall, and everything appeared to be really clean. But... it's a restaurant. A restaurant's main job is to provide food, and frankly? My food was seriously not good. There were some other things on the menu that our party ordered that were reportedly really good (the wings, for example) but man. I can't get past the Pad Thai travesty. So sad, because normally I love it so.... :(

Sadly we will not be returning to lemongrass. We have been regular customers for a few years. We generally order the same few items off of the menu. We live across town so its a 20 min drive to get there. I ordered my food and arrived home only to find they had given me the wrong order. I called and they told me to "bring it back". They then told me that i owed them .75 cents for the right order. I refused to pay it. I asked them if they had made the food freshly and they said no. They said they could remake it. What? The food sat for at least 45 minutes. I should have just asked for a refund but was starving so i was stuck with cold thai food. Not awesome. The food is ok. There aren't a ton of thai places in warwick so the options are what they are. I guess we will go to seven moons next time we have a craving for pad thai.

We have been here several times since buying a house a few streets away, and it is always spot on! This time we walked over. We started w/ a scorpion bowl (of course). Then our nim chow arrived. it is always better here than anywhere else that I have ever had it. Sometimes we call in nimh chow for pick up because we crave it so much. We then split the crispy/spicy wings, lo mein, and the red dragon sushi roll. Every item was a little bit better than anticipated. Very well prepared, and very quick to arrive from the kitchen. Everything would have been the perfect meal, except the dessert. It wasn't bad, but certainly not as good as the meal. We ordered the sherbert thing, covered in white chocolate. Pretty boring, and probably not made in-house. If they had green tea tempura ice cream on the menu... It would have been the best pan-Asian meal I ever had! I keep ordering fried ice cream everything I go, hoping it will eventually be available.

Randomly dined here after a soccer game one Tuesday night. Upon walking in, the hostess was not pleasant at all. We had to ask to be seated and she replied "oh" and then walked us to a table and threw our menus down without even greeting us! The waitress was actually much friendlier and appeared to be enjoying her job. She was accommodating and apologetic when we sent back the edamame...see below.... The food is sub-par here ... The edamame had a funny smell and taste to them, the lo mien was greasy, and the pad Thai wasn't super flavorful. I'd pass on Lemongrass and head to Apsara on the east side!

I've been here several times for eat-in & take out & I've never had a bad experience/meal. The nime chow is one of my favorites .. I get an order every time I come here. They've recently renovated, so it's a big change if you haven't been in a while.

My five star rating is in the scope of what's available locally. I've lived in Warwick six months now, and hadn't been able to find a Chinese food restaurant I'd rate higher than sub-par. Until now. On a friend's suggestion I tried Lemongrass, and it hit it out of the park. Admittedly, I know nothing of their other styles of food, since I was so adamant about finding Chinese food. For what it's worth though, they seem to have a nice menu with both Japanese and Thai dishes. I had Sesame chicken, fried rice, chicken fingers, and for the hell of it, tempura vegetables; your basic Americanized Chinese food. Each I would rate higher than a similar dish from any of the four or five other places I've tried. There's very little chance I will order take out from any other similar restaurant at this point. I'll try their Thai eventually too. Bottom line, I was so happy to finally find a decent Chinese food restaurant in the area, I made my first review. It's not the best I've ever had regardless of location, but it's at least in the realm; and more appropriately, it's better than anything else you're getting in this area.

I was turned on to this place by a co-worker and I'm glad I listened to him. I love Thai food and Lemongrass does it right. But they also do great Cantonese and Szechuan too. My favorite dish on their menu is the Baby Bok Choy with Jumbo Shrimp & Garlic. I'd would love to say that I try something different each time I visit, but that dish is just soooooo good, I always wind up ordering that! Since I last visited, they've done a major renovation and now the place just sings.

I went to Lemongrass a few days ago while on a visit back to RI. Most people outside of RI think of Italian Food, Ice Cream, Chowder, Quahogs and Lobster Rolls when they think of RI...well at least those who have actually heard of RI that is! Add Nime Chow to the list because Melissa S was right on in her review, they are outstanding as was the rest of their Thai, Vietnamese, Cambodian and Chinese cuisine. I was also impressed at how attentive the wait staff is (xie xie Terry!). Even the manager (owner?) stopped by our table to be sure everything was satisfactory. The other nice touch is that a meal here will not require you to take out a second mortgage...though if they don't figure out this debt ceiling thing, you may not be able to afford to take out a mortgage for anything....but that's another story!

Ordered moo shu chicken, chicken green curry, and steamed dumplings. All three were ok but nothing to write home about. I love green curry and the curry at Lemongrass lacked flavor. The chicken was plentiful and tender and moist. I will go back again to see if maybe I went on an off night. Service was very fast.

Something a bit different As my friends so vociferously pointed out to me, Lemongrass is not a Chinese restaurant. It's an Asian Bistro. There are quite of few of the typical little Chinese places around here but not a whole lot of the more diverse Asian restaurants. Rhode Island of course has lots a great seafood but sushi still seems to be rather rare. Of course Lemongrass has all of the usual Chinese dishes like chicken lo mein, king pao chicken and moo goo gai pan but the menu is far more expansive. Some cool, and at least to me unusual things like loc lac, banh hoi, pad thai noodlie thingies and various sushi are also on the menu. My wife and I both have recently developed a taste for sushi and we have been experimenting with raw eel, squid, tuna, salmon, and even flying fish. All of the sushi has been extremely fresh and very tasty and cool. Even the more mundane dishes all all very light and delicious. None of the goopy and heavily saturated with MSG stuff of the more typical take out places. The staff are very pleasant are friendly are seem to enjoy answering our stupid and ignorant questions and go into detail about how each dish is made. Very entertaining and edifying. Rhode Island just doesn't seem to have many places like this and Lemongrass has become our favorite sushi and Asian restaurant. A very cool place when you want something a bit different.

Ohhhh they have some great sushi and pad thai! Very happy with the quality of food, and price. I judge a place based on their sign (I'm in marketing, I can't help it!) and this place has your typical cheesy acrylic sign with the light behind it. I just figured it would be run of the mill. But my companion picked up our to go, so I didn't see the inside, but he said he was pleasently surprised upon entering their establishment. I've heard the same from others that the inside is really nice and it makes for a great place to bring a date. I'll be eating here again!

I came to LemonGrass after over passing it for several years as a resident of Warwick. I decided to try it with my girlfriend, at her suggestion, one night after a long plane ride. Boy was I surprised, top notch meal! We ordered a scorpion bowl and fried dumplings to start. I had the AC3 which included wings, spare ribs and beef teriyaki. My girlfriend ordered extra spicy chicken with basil. All the food was top notch and highly recommended.

I have no idea what the fuss is about this place. The food was disappointing. The Pad Thai tasted like Campbells chicken noodle soup. Their "Lemongrass Chicken" entree was really Curried chicken. Their only saving grace was the MooShu Pork which wasn't disastrous like the other dishes were. To top it all off, our server would say "yes" or "okay" to our requests and quickly scanter off, only to not come back with requested item until a 2nd or 3rd attempt from our table was initiated. Check came with dry pen. Asked for take out boxes 2 times (even though the food wasn't good) and ended up leaving the food there. Take a pass!

Best Asian restaurant in Warwick! I had a little bit of everything; Cantonese, sushi, Thai... I love to go here with friends because everyone can get what they'd like from the most exotic eater to the pickiest. It is also great if you yourself can not decide what to get. I usually get a sushi roll as an appetizer and Pad Thai for an entree. Where else can you go to get both dishes in one meal and have them both be delicious? The decor is beautiful and they seem to always be making upgrades. They have two sitting areas with beautiful table tops and a small bar. There are beautiful paintings on the wall, statues and plants placed about the restaurant and vines hanging from the ceiling. The prices are fair and they have the best nime chow I've ever had. My only complaint is that the last time I went there for dinner my waitress barely spoke English and I could not understand a word she was saying. A gentleman came to take our order but any time she came to check on us I could only figure out what she was trying to ask by her gestures. However, that is the only time I have had an experience like that and she was very friendly.

Everything was hot, which was good. If you understand what I meant. When you go to Asian restaurants, most likely they will serve you hot teas which most likely are not so hot. So when I got my hot tea after a day of flying from West to East coast and driving 2 hours during rush hours, you understand how appreciated I was having a real hot tea. Then came the 3 delight soup, it was delicious and yes, hot too. Pa-thai was good, a little bit on the sweet side. Walnut shrimp was tasty. Chicken wings were crispy and yes, hot, right out of oven kind of hot. The service was great. As my younger son said, his ice water got refilled quickly, no need asking. It also uses real plates/bowls to serve its dishes, no plastic and paper type, which I love. Overall, its a pleasant experience dinning there. I'll definitely come back when I visit my college son in the future.

If you go on a Friday night or Saturday, prepare to wait a little bit but I heard they are expanding. Lemongrass has above average general tso and really tasty and big spicy crispy chicken wings. The chicken pad tai is huge and also very tasty. They have pretty good tasting scorpion bowls if you want a nice treat. There is also a small bar and some TV's for sports night and they can accommodate large parties with their big tables. The tables are sweet looking too.

We were at Lemongrass tonight, and I must say it was real good. We had Shooting Star roll as an appetizer and it was delicious. I had the spicy chicken with basil, my husband had a combo meal both entrees were very good. The service was good and the staff was friendly. Will definitely go back again. It is a mixture of different foods Chinese, Thai, and Japanese but done well. For the people who only gave it one star I would say go back and try it again or maybe they ordered the wrong foods.

Went here for lunch. Got food poisoning from the sushi here. I ordered the "Ocean state" roll which was (raw) crab salmon avocado and cucumber. When we got to the main entrance room with the bar there was an employee sitting at the bar (she must have been on lunch break because she was eating) and no hostess or anything. My friends and I were stuck awkwardly waiting for a hostess or some staff member to seat us or welcome us for about 5 minutes. Our waitress was nice, polite, and quick. However we were pretty much the only ones in the restaurant. Very disappointed that the sushi gave me food poisoning. Was sick all night and the next day. I even had to go see my doctor. I would not take my chances here.

AWESOME!! Never diappointed. Few favs: sticky wings, pad thai, schezuan chicken, general tso's chicken, nim chow, curry chicken! It can be busy, but hey- isn't that a good thing? They have a nice decor and multi-color lit bar. If you think the Islander is good....you'll be happy to find somewhere that superseeds it! =) Def give them a try!!!

I find myself in here all the time. Every thing in here is good and it is the only Asian restaurant where I feel like I can go in and just have a drink and relax like I would at any local bar. The fried chicken wings with red pepper are awesome as is the sushi and tom yum soup. The mixed drinks are delicious and the staff is very friendly. The food is always fresh and clean and comes out fast. I'd probably have to say it is my favorite all-around local restaurant, period. I'd probably be "The Duke" here if I could ever think to check-in at places when I'm out!

Ate here twice, both for company events. We are a large bunch and can get a bit loud. This did not stop the staff from serving us the best food and being extremely friendly. they always go above and beyond! If you have not tried their food you need to. you will not be disappointed.

Great food! What we ordered: nime chow, steamed dumplings, chicken Tom yam soup, pad Thai, chicken bee boong. First, the soup was FANTASTIC! So clean, fragrant, and delicious. I loved that the flavorings for the broth (ginger, bay, lemongrass, pepper, citrus) were left whole in the soup. The nime chow was light & fresh. My bee boong was plentiful & nutty. Overall a great restaurant..will go back!

Oh Lemongrass, how I love you! My dad and I have been coming here for years, and we've never been disappointed. Ever. Seriously though, I've tried practically the entire menu and I can't think of anything that wasn't pleasing to my palate. This isn't your typical greasy take-out Chinese place. It's actually good food that you won't regret eating the next day. I'd highly recommend the nime chow as an appetizer, and ask for some chili paste if you like to spice things up. The crispy chicken wings are crispy as promised, and if you're in the mood for some delicious, cold-healing soup go with the hot and sour Vietnamese soup. It's complete with pineapple, bits of chicken, ginger, lemongrass, tomatoes, and hot peppers. The orange flavored chicken is always good too. Now on to the real stuff: sushi Their sushi is always fresh and really some of the best sushi I've had. They just redid the whole restaurant and it's quite nice, and they put in a great sushi bar. The 'sexy lady roll' is a favorite. It's creative and super tasty! The 'hot stuff roll" is also really delicious. The wait staff are always so pleasant and wonderful. An awesome place you must go to!!

I'm a huge fan of Thai food and have not found a place that can recreate the flavors from Bangkok anywhere else in this state. Fans of Tom Yam soup extra-spicy will LOVE this place! Inside is nothing fancy : the staff is incredibly friendly, the food is fresh, and you'll never find an empty spot in front of the restaurant. They boast a menu full of a variety of asian dishes, at a very reasonable cost. Definitely worth taking a detour ... you'd never know it by the location :)

When it comes to Chinese and Thai food I am extremely picky. My favorite Chinese and Thai restaurants funny enough are located in Germany, I have found it difficult to find anything that compares here in the States. There is a Chinese restaurant in Greenville, South Carolina that is comparable to my favorites and thankfully a little bit closer to home we found Lemongrass. The menu is Americanized Asian food but at least it's fresh, flavorful, and cooked properly. We tried the crab ragoons, Thai Shrimp Salad, Beef with Green Beans, and the Pad Thai. The crab ragoons were made with a perfect amount of filling and weren't too greasy, the Thai Shrimp Salad had the right seasoning and spices but it was just a little to overdressed, the Beef with green beans was just too salty but the Pad Thai was spot-on. The staff was very friendly and the service was awesome. We will be back to sample more.

As I age, I try to be a bit more adventurous in terms of cuisine. Hence, I have successfully made the transition from the basic, greasy spoon Cantonese menus of the likes of the Islander. Han Palace and Jade Dragon (Warwick take out options) to Thai. Seven Moons is too far to drive for take out... otherwise I would do so three nights a week.. so I had to find an acceptable alternative in Warwick proper. Lemongrass is the answer. Food is excellent, price fair but not cheap. They have smartly added a new bar (and sushi station) so I can pound a couple while I wait. These additions transform a rather bland, strip mall location into a comfortable dine-in option. But who's kidding whom, God made Asian food to take out... and Lemongrass is the best within shot for anyone in the Warwick, Cranston area. On a par with Jackie's Galaxy and you can get it home while its still hot. Recommended.

I'm one of those types of people who go to certain restaurants for a certain dish they have. For me, I go no where else but Lemongrass for my Chicken Pad Thai. It's the best. I have to agree with the Nime Chow as well - superb! Don't be fooled by the outside appearance as a hole-in-the-wall. S

We had spicy tuna roll (one of the lunch special) and chicken pad thai, both were alright. Nothing to shout about. Their vegetable tempura needs improvement, the batter is thick and clumpy. Would not order that again. Our food experience there is just okay, the servers are attentive and friendly though.

This place is run by Chinese folks and its like every Chinese takeout joint. All these good reviews probably from those who have no idea what good authentic Asian food is like. This place seems to cater to folks around the area who come to drink at the bar. If you are fine with eating sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken then this place is for you. if you know how true authentic Chinese food is like then this place isnt. Will not be going back.

I am never dissatisfied with my food whether it be dine in or take-out. OK Nime Chow (not the best..too white ricey w/not enough basil and outside rice wrap is a tad...just a tad.. thick). Great Sushi and combo options! Trust me, you will only need to order 1 scorpion bowl here...WOW they are worth every dollar..CHEERS YELPETTS! The miso soup also warms me up inside before the main course. They offer awesome lunch specials with sushi rolls for very cheap during the day. It is obvious to the palette that their ingredients are fresh. Pad Thai here is delicious, but again, not quite enough basil. Yummy vietnamese Bee Boongh. I would say Lemongrass is a small scale Asian Bistro that I refer to as "the seven moons of warwick", just smaller and with no Asian floor seating. The manager is always out and about interacting with customers, making sure everything is up to par. The waitstaff are courteous and sociable. I love how I come here so often and never have a disastrous experience. They are consistent and make sure not to include any MSG in their recipes. I can't give a full 5 stars because I think they should kick their use of basil up a few notches. I'm very picky when it comes to pad thai, bee boongh, and nime chow having enough basil and you should be too...it is such an essential part of the dish.

I love this place. The food is great and not overly battered. You can taste the chicken or beef that you order. Nice atmosphere and the service rocks!

I just started to eat Thai food and I gotta say I really truly love and enjoy this place. I always order takeout, the service is fast, reliable and pleasant. I love the veggie pad Thai. The garlic sauce is great. I've eaten at another Thai restaurant in the area and I did not like it very much. Lemongrass is the best in the area! I definitely recommend!

In terms of satisfying my mother's general tso's chicken-only policy at asian restaurants and my penchant for sushi and thai food, the menu options here work well. Mom enjoyed her general tso's combo plate and I was able to order pad thai and a sushi roll (sexy lady). The sushi was pretty good, and I'd want to come back and try more of their fairly large menu. The pad thai was fine but nothing special - I've had better in other places - but for Warwick, it wasn't bad. It is very much Americanized asian food here, but within that genre, I think it does things pretty well. So far, this is my top choice in Warwick when I'm home to visit.

Its good, but not great. Maybe an asian guy like myself shouldnt rate asian food because honestly, i've eatin the stuff all my life so they all pretty much taste the same...but if u like asian food, its good

came to Rode Island for a convention and had dinner here recommend by my friend and thought it be like a hole in the wall. it turns out to be amazing. the place was like a fusion, between asian and diner fuse in with a very modern look. the food was very surprising. for appertizer we started out with some Vietnamese summer roll and shrimp tempura with mango chutney. they were perfect. I had the sweet crispy pork it was very good, however they had too much sauce with made it too sweet towards the end. if it was less sweet a little bit sour it will be perfect.my friend had the lemongrass shrimp and it was very good. they were done just right. for my other two friends they had sushi they love it . this place is like walking in to hip diner but took you on a trip to asia.

Lemongrass is consistent with a large selection of items on the menu. Thai, Chinese and sushi choices. The Cantonese noodle, nim chow and pad thai are favorites-and delicious! And Shang is always pleasant

Ok Problem: Bad service and good food make my husband and I eat take-out from this place because we've been insulted so many times. They will shove you aside to get to your plate, leave in the middle of taking your order, ignore you, forget to come back, not bring the bill. Honestly we must love the food because these people are unforgivably rude servers....that said we went there last week....hangs head. Oh if you loved the eggrolls BEWARE THEY HAVE CHANGED THE WRAPPERS :( i hope they change it back.

On the scale of good sushi in RI, this place is in the middle. I've had better but it's still a very good restaurant! My boyfriend loves this restaurant! It's a good atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. I'd come back.

This place is pretty good. However, I don't think it quite meets the 4-star standard. It was decent food, I'd go there again, but I wouldn't go with balls on (excited about what I was going to it)... it just wasn't that good. The place was hopping on Saturday, but they were able to get us a table within 20 minutes (point for Lemongrass). The drinks were stiff (second point for Lemongrass). The Nime Chow was good (third point for Lemongrass). Unfortunately, that's were the points stop. There were four of us in our party and none of us were really pleased with our entrees. I ordered Pad Thai, a dish in my mind that indicates whether an Asian fusion restaurant should be on the charts or not. In this case, it was unimpressive. That said, if you are in the area and want some Asian food, its an okay place to go.

I didn't realize that Lemongrass did sushi, or maybe I went before they started serving it?? I don't dislike Lemongrass, I just think there are better choices in a state that is full of Asian restaurants, like Four Seasons!

Do not eat there! I ordered tuna and it was mushy and dark!!! They said it was cut this morning and it's dark because of the garlic they just mixed with it! So I offered the manager a bite. Since I was paying for it regardless. He looked at it after giving me a bullshit story and said no thankyou, I will remove this plate!!!!

My family has been getting takeout from Lemongrass ever since they relocated here from Johnston. The food is excellent, and the quality is consistent. The owner takes great pride in making sure that his clientele are satisfied. He also tries out new items on occasion that he lets his regulars try and critique them prior to putting them on the menu. They recently expanded into sushi preparation as well. The quality of this is as comparable and excellent as his traditional menu. Try it, you will be happy with the experience.

Lemongrass can satisfy all of your Thai, Chinese, and Taiwanese hankerings. Their pad-thai is to die for, and the portion is definately big enough for two. I've never enjoyed a meal inside, but whenver I go to pick up my take out order they are PACKED. Everything that I have had here has never disappointed me, so I would definately recommend Lemongrass above and beyond any Chinese or Thai take out place. The prices are very reasonable (about the same as standard Chinese places) and the food is simply awesome.
