The food was good. The potatoes were delicious. The portions were good. My daughter cleaned her plate. The décor was out of 1988 and is in desperate need of updating but the restaurant is very clean. Our waitress was a little of putting with her over the top personality but I definitely will go back.

Came in here after readin my yelp buddy brian s. said the food was good and he was right. I ordered the ham n cheese omelette wit the seasoned potatoes n toast. Pretty simple, but pretty tasty! I live down the street so next time i want breakfast, i'm headin to Alice.

Decided to take a chance on this place and glad I did - once was enough. The food wasn't bad. The menu was very limited and this was a total local dive type place. They didn't have poached eggs and having cheese on potatoes meant a slice of cheese. I think I've been too spoiled in my dining adventures. The reason I wouldn't return here isn't the food so much as the service. My friends and I had this surly woman who desparately needed an etiquette class. She had this attitude the entire time and anything we asked for was met with an unnecessary air of disdain. Perhaps she was having a bad day? Perhaps, though she seemed to be a pro at being rude so I doubt it. I left only a 15% tip which is unheard of for me. I'll stick to Sunnyside if I'm going to go out in Warwick for breakfast where the servers are polite and chipper and simple requests are not seen as nuisances.

You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant. Perhaps Arlo Guthrie exaggerated just a bit when he sang those lines but you can get a pretty good omelet here. Also pretty good pancakes, good sandwiches, good strong coffee and friendly service. Occasionally some unexpected weird stuff too. Alice's Restaurant is a small local place. Unpretentious, unassuming and very relaxed. All they do is serve good food at a good price. What a novel idea. Nothing exotic, you won't find any "specials" with foreign words in them. Nothing you have to google to find out what's in it. A simple but adequate menu and comfortable and clean atmosphere. Of course being a local joint you will also find some interesting local characters. The last time my wife and I went here with some friends, this elderly man we never saw before came over to our table and announced that it was his 95th birthday and that he deserved a kiss. Well, I don't care how the hell old he is, I wasn't about to kiss him but my wife, being the generous and kind soul that she is, gave him a little peck on the cheek. He was so happy that he sang her a little song and did a little dance. Actually entertaining in it's spontaneity and verve and something that seems to only occur at these small, local beachy places. You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant. Maybe, maybe not. But you certainly can get some things you don't expect.
