Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Great Pizza!

Having lived in NYC for a year and half now, I can confidently say that NYC pizza doesn't have anything on Tiverton's Famous Pizza. I really miss living just up the street from this little place. The prices are great, service is friendly and food is good. What more can you ask for? I could really go for a ham and onion pie right now with a side of wings and blue cheese dressing. Tiverton folks, enjoy this little pizza gem because if you ever move, you'll soon realize just how good this place really is!

The pizza here is so so at best. Sometimes it is good and some times it is awful. Pay attention to the charges, they like to charge above what their menu prices state. Cleanliness is not a concern here either. I have seen street carts in NYC in better shape.

Just grabbed some fish and chips to go, outstanding. Portions were huge, cooked perfectly... Thanks

I went to Famous Pizza for the great reviews yelp had one record. I find in with two of my sons. We are all different and of course had different preferences. We ordered small pizzas. One sausage, pepperoni and plain cheese. The pizzas were all best extremely hot. Dining in though I wish they had offered drinks with refills. Eating in you do purchase bottled drinks. The boys had those gone nearly while waiting for dinner. The only other suggestion I would have is parmasean cheese and peppers at the table. My son almost poured salt or sugar on his pizza from the large dispenser on the table. Great hot, just breathe quickly.

On Monday Abby and I went to Famous Pizza for pizza and wings. I guess they was closed and the person inside said that they was closed and showed no respect. He was very rude. I will never go back to that restaurant.

Ordered a BBQ chicken pizza... Was worse than dominos or papa johns in my opinion. Chicken on pizza tasted like it was not real chicken. No onions on the bbq chicken pizza... Will not order from here again.

Pizza is my favorite... peppers and onions (occassionally with chourico)... I could eat the entire thing myself. Onion rings are great, and so are the grinders. I've had the Chourico, meatball and steak and cheese. It's a good place to get take out from.

I want to start off by saying pizza was pretty good. I called and ordered for delivery and took an hour pizza came it was cold and wrong one. I call it as upset realize it happens the girl I spoke to was rude like I was inconveniencing her by the mistake. She never apologized and asked me how much I paid. I told her she ok we will bring another one out. An hour later I finally get the pizza now it's 8pm and it is ice cold. Clearly to eat here you need to pick up and I hope customer service will be a little better

Ordered a large mushroom pizza with buffalo wings. Great service taking the order and even better service on the delivery to Borden Light Marina. The pizza is thin crust excellent and hot on arrival. Wings were great as well. Will order again next boating season!

I love this place. A wonderful family business that obviously cares about what they do and it shows in their food. Great pizza, salads and subs.

I rolled into this restaurant in my wheelchair, order up a pizza and slide into a stall. Upon getting the pizza I wasn't too enthused, looked rather ordinary. I have never been wrong in mine life! The first bite filled my mouth with joyous glee. I remembered the greatest times of my life, I laughed, I cried. After I finished my last bite I wiped away the few remaining delicious crumbs from my mouth and walked out, WALKED out.

Very solid pie at a very reasonable price.. Previous reviewer said it best about his crust description.. Totally authentic neighborhood pizza parlor 80's vibe.. I think I saw TeenWolf playing Ms Pacman in the corner drinking a Tab. Grinders looked excellent with small sizes starting at $3. Price is what will definitely bring me back as the food overall was above average. Give it a shot if your in the neighborhood. I live close so I'll definitely revisit

Good pizza with a great taste. Its a thin crust but not too thin. When you bite into a slice the cheese doesn't pull off from the rest even though there is a lot of cheese there. When I'm passing through the area I go out of my way to stop in.

I love a hand tossed, Italian style pizza, but I grew up on greasy, Greek pan pizza. They are essentially the same foods but worlds apart in taste, texture and appearance. It's hard to compare the two. My wife and I joke that every town across the area seems to have a " famous", " classic", or the ubiquitous " house of pizza". This in itself is sort of an initial turn off to trying these places, but I also really like pizza. Famous has a outwardly sketchy look to it, another reason I was dissuaded initially from trying their pies. The staff is curt, and the menu is uninspired ( don't go looking for gourmet specialty pizzas). On the other hand, as far as value goes, your dollar stretches pretty far. Low prices only work if it's half decent. This pizza is super tasty though. It has a crispy crust with a good flavor. The sauce is balanced and it tastes like they use a good blend of cheeses. The grinders are yummy too. Depending on whose on the grill their steak and cheeses are bomb. I'm just picky about my steaks (they should always be chopped and the cheese melted throughout). Food is generally cranked out at breakneck speed, around ten minutes for pizza and a grinder. I'll wait ten minutes because I don't always need something " hot 'n ready". I like local business, and I would rather get my food from the little guy than some corporation. I'm glad I gave this spot a chance. Overall I've had really good takeout food at great prices.

Pretty average pizza with nice people behind the counter. Think "house of pizza" style pizza - you know what I mean. The thinner crust is a nice touch but everything else was just A-OK.

I was looking for somewhere that had a reasonable price for fish and chips and found this place. Ordered up two fish and chips and brought them home. Everything was scrumptious (coleslaw, french fries, and the fish). French fries were nice and crisp (no soggy ones, ewww!), the fish was nice and light and had had a really nice flavor (absolutely no fishy taste), and the cole slaw was good, too. The serving size of one fed both me (though I wasn't super hungry) and my husband, so we have leftovers. My husband said this was some of the best fish and chips he'd had in a long time. Based on that, we recommend Famous Pizza. It's as good as it gets, especially for such a reasonable price :)

The greatest pizza place ever. I've lived in NYC and have eaten it all over l.. Never have I ever had a pizza better than a chourico chip and cheese pizza and/or a sausage chourico pepperoni and green pepper pizza. Go there! Play pacman and enjoy the greasiest, gnarliest pizza known to humankind! Tip hard!

The cheese pizza and mozzarella sticks were delicious. That being said here are the problems I had with this place. I watched an older woman who worked there use her hands to put wings into a takeout container, then proceed to open the oven to check on a pizza, go to the counter to cash out an order (mind you this means she touched money) and then WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS go to the side counter and start pressing a pizza into a pan !!! In that order. No concern for health or cross contamination in this place. Not to mention the fact its a dusty, worn down mess when you walk in. Nothing special at all and will not be returning.
