Food tastes great like always. But the portion sizes seem to have been cut in half and the girl who made my burrito looked as if she would have rather eaten nails than to work there. A smile wouldn't hurt!

First step is admitting you have a problem, but I don't see my loving chipotle as a problem. This is my go-to chipotle (do I sound obsessive??) and I've only had good experiences here. Reasonably priced, friendly and quick staff, and open late on Sunday nights.

Typical Chipotle/build your own burrito experience. I enjoy Chipotle over other similar restaurants (qdoba, boloco, bajas) because I like the way their meat is seasoned. This Chipotle location is very, very small and always packed. I find it to be a pain to eat in the actual restaurant because seating is so limited and you basically eat while a line of people waiting to build their meal stands over you and your plate. My food is always good and priced fairly. I've never had an issue with an employee or my meals here. If you are in the area and just want to grab something on your lunch break or bring food back to your house than this particular location is for just that.

Haven't had a bad experience here yet, only awesome burritos! Super fresh and I like the company's sustainability policies too. My burrito spot.

What a cluster... Where to begin? The square footage is the smallest I have seen in a Chipotle. Almost never a seat available. Frequent mistakes by cooking staff. On our most recent trip they forgot my daughter's items. The topper? A careless prep cook slammed a bucket of rice into the warmer in front of me and splashed me with scalding hot water. If you are used to consistent service and product from a Chipotle, keep driving!

I went to Chipotle twice just to make sure my first impression was accurate. There is nothing special about Chipotle Mexican grill. In comparison to other Mexican wrap places, Chipotle has a limited selection of wrappings, meats, and toppings to fulfill one's cravings. Their portions are below the standard of other wrap places and the prices do not match the products.

Alright this Chipotle had a large learning curve and now they've gone past the top of the arch and into the area of diminishing returns. Arguing if a veggie bowl comes with guac or not (it does, the sofrito does not). 15 minutes and 6 employees working to only produce 2 sloppy looking burritos. More concern with getting the food for an employee who was going on break expedited and to her before paying customers, as the other employees struggled with those 2 burritos. I get it, the location blows. The store is a tiny cavern, and the people that shop at Smithfield Crossing would probably make me self harm (see my review of Dave's and hatred of mostly everywhere else in this plaza) Now, it wasn't always this way. A mere few months ago this was a quick in and out, delightful burrito stop. I'm not sure if there is high turn around (seems the get your career rolling sign is in a constant state of being up on the door) or if on non peak nights and times like a sunday they just put those they haven't been able to put out of their misery on the schedule. One girl came back from her break last night and just saved the day, she got 5 or 6 people served and rung up in the time it took for one person prior to her coming on the line and whipping folks into shape.

Oh, Chipotle Smithfield, how you have become my favorite Chipotle despite your flaws. Don't expect to find a spot anywhere near this location during lunchtime. The Bryant kids are all here or at Panera. There also will be no seating, which is OK for me because I usually get take away. Smithfield still doesn't have their liquor license, but the staff is friendly, and will try to remember you. As soon as they see me now, they always make sure that they change their gloves due to my gluten allergy, and the frittata veggies are *always* not too soggy. They also don't skimp on portions, and don't give me the stink eye when I ask for extra rice instead of beans. The one faux-pas they have done is that I have ordered online, and when I arrived (five minutes late) they still hadn't made my burrito bowl, so I had to wait. I order online mostly to avoid the line (which is usually long during rush) so I was OK with waiting a few minutes, but I didn't even get an apology. This location is still 'learning' in that their staff is still new, and you will see them yell back to the line repeatedly a few times because the line staff isn't listening and they start arguing, which is kind of annoying. I would not come here to sit down and eat, as like I said, there is almost no seating, especially because it is the closest location to Bryant, and they like to infiltrate all the nice things that are in the area. (As you can tell, I am not a fan of Bryant University.) This location used to be a Sprint cell phone store, so yeah, there isn't a lot of space. That being said, I am so glad that there is a location near my house now so I don't have to go down to Garden City where everyone gives me a death stare when I ask for changed gloves, or Warwick, where it's a pain to get in and out of their store.

Am I going to the same Chipotle as these other reviewers? The staff has always been helpful and knowledgable. The food is always great, and is exactly what I've come to expect. Fresh ingredients and well seasoned meats. If your craving tacos...burritos...etc skip Taco Bell and come here! My favorite is the taco salad with chicken, black beans, medium salsa...all topped with this AMAZING dressing! You could lick the bowl!

This is one of the rare hidden Chipotle's. I give it 4 stars because of that, you are sneaking in without a huge line. Many people run to Panera next door not even noticing Chipotle. Alas, what makes it great is what takes a star away, the restaurant itself has little seating. Better to just get take out and sit in your car. This is an odd move for the restaurant since we are in Smithfield, the Chipotle's in Providence and Boston have more seating than this. Top notch food, quick and kind service, can't go wrong with Chipotle, just expect a tight squeeze.

Came here with a co-worker for lunch.i got a bowl instead of a burrito.everything you can choose from is in front of you like going to a subway and you watch them assemble your lunch. They try to take pride in local fresh ingredients and normally I would like that in a place but it didn't translate into fresh tasting food.i would consider chipotle just a small step up from Taco Bell...also my chipotle burrito bowl cost right around 9-10 bucks (I had steak) and was not a great value. Also if you go to the Smithfield location you can forget about sitting down.seating is terrible with only 3-4 small tables. Overall I won't be going back.

Living in Woonsocket, it was always a hike to visit a Chipotle restaurant. The nearest one was located in Franklin, MA so my excitement when hearing about the Smithfield location under construction was quite high. However, upon visiting, was not the least bit impressed. The portions were small, the beans were watery, the chicken was burn, I pierced my mouth on what appeared to be a bone, and was served hot salsa after requesting mild. I understand mistakes happen and maybe I had caught them at a bad time, so following this visit I returned twice more. Both times I was highly disappointed yet again! I refuse to dine at this location and now refer all of my friends to the Franklin location because THAT is a real Chipotle restaurant!

I only hope the manager at the Smithfield Chipotle (if there is one) reads these. I was so excited to have a Chipotle in town and have gone several times. While the food is tasty and inexpensive, the service here has been from mediocre to bad. Several times I've had to wait because they're out of rice or chicken. There are so many people behind the counter but twice I've had to wait a long time to get checked out as the staff yells "Cash!" "Cash!" over & over into the back room where people seem to be enjoying themselves. They tend to shout a lot, probably because it's hard to hear because the music's so loud. And either I can't hear them or they can't hear me so I have to repeat myself a lot. Tonight was probably the last straw. I waited forever for them to cook more chicken since they were out, and my chicken was so raw that I had to microwave the whole bowl when I got home. Also, another woman tried to point out several times that her burrito was being placed partly on the counter where there were magic marker marks. The serving girl either didn't "get it" or didn't care. She took the burrito with the "tainted" burrito shell and just plopped it into another shell-- Then when the woman complained, she just ripped off the first burrito shell. No apologies, no offer to remake it. Again, this place needs a good manager to monitor and properly train these young employees.

I love this location. But then again, I've never had a bad meal at any chipotle location. I was happy when this location opened because it is closer to my home in Connecticut. There is also one about 50 minutes away in Massachusetts. The workers at this location go above and beyond and out of their way to make sure that everyone has a great experience. It's actually frustrating to read the bad reviews because I have been here about 15 times and I've never had a bad meal. I'm not understanding that. If you are in the area and looking for a bite to eat don't pass up Chipotle!! :)

Love this new restaurant in Smithfield commons ! I've been here multiple times and each time I see the staff hustling to get food out for the patrons! I was curious about a new product and they offered me a sample to take! They ran out of hot salsa and brought it out immediately so I could head out to work. The staff check in with the diners sitting in the store and clear tables as needed. It's clean and supplied well. Just wish it was a larger store as it gets cramped easily.

A bad meal at Chipotle, which I have never had, is still better then the other fast food you will find around.

My first experience at a Chipotle was a month ago in Dedham, MA. It was super. i live in North Smithfield and was so happy to see a Chipotle in Smithfield! I promptly visited to have another great meal. I was disappointed at the skimpy not-so-great bowl I ordered, but chalked it up to possibly not a great day for them. When i went back a week later and ordered the same, with the same skimpy results, plus my guest's burrito tortilla wasn't sufficiently heated, and the chips were stale, i decided that is it for me at this Chipotle's. They don't live up to the name. i must say the help were pleasant...but i have the feeling they are instructed to be stringent on portions and use everything...stale or not.

I've been a Chipotle fan for a while now. For fast food, it's tasty, fresh, and you guessed it . . . fast. I appreciate the fact that they stick to what they do best - tacos and burritos. I tried this location for the first time and I wasn't impressed. The space is tight. There are only a handful of tables. Also, I had the worst burrito I've ever had at a Chipotle. The tortilla was torn, the carnitas was cold, and the salsa watery and bland (I asked for hot).

Was introduced to Chipolte in Virginia and couldn't wait for one to come up north. Then it did and I have to say I was a little disappointed, it's not the service, the kids are nice enough but somethings missing...

I decided to try this place for the first time last week. Im usually a loyal Cilantro Mexican Grill girl but I wanted to see what all the buzz was about. I was so disappointed. I got three soft steak tacos with a bag of chips and guac. I was so disappointed I didn't even get through the first taco. The steak tasted like meat id feed my dog and the guac was nothing special. I will never come back.

You know a Chipotle is a Chipotle is a Chipotle. This Chipotle is an exit away from Bryant and is located in a huge shopping mall. It is usually busy due to all of the foot traffic. This Chipotle is always over employeed yet almost no one can wrap the burritos. They always have a rookie on wrapping burritos. I understand they have to learn but it is affects my burrito eating experience. It could use a little more seating but I am usually bringing it back to school. All in all I am always down to go to this Chipotle during the semester.

I've never visited a chipotle before and was really impressed by their fresh and tasty food. It's like what you wish Taco Bell could be. I had a salad with chicken and it was SO good, complete with lettuce, salsa, cheese, black beans, and sour cream. The chicken was so flavorful and moist, definitely not boring old grilled chicken. Guacamole was two dollars extra, but they give you a huge portion which made it 100% worth it. If you don't feel like soda, they will give you a actual decent sized cup (not like some other places that give you a teensy cup, cough cough panera) for tap water. Really my only complaint about this place is the atmosphere. The food is classy, so I was surprised to see the decor isn't as nice as most McDonalds these days. Maybe they're just trying to keep their prices down (they were quite reasonable, by the way). There are also only about six tables and a window seat (the bathrooms sort of take up half the restaurant), so seating is limited. But the food was way good, (and real, not processed garbage) and that's what matters to me!

Everything about this place is much better than you'd expect from a chain restaurant. When you come to Chipotle, it's no frills: the decor is very plain and nondescript: no artwork on the walls, no big logos or advertising, the menu is very short and sweet, even the self serve coke machine doesn't have a logo on it. But that's okay, because what they focus on here, they do well, and that's the food. The food is the reason this is probably the best chain out there right now. If you actually care about the quality of the ingredients that makes up your meal, Chipotle is the place to go. I went in knowing that the company is trying to eliminate all GMO ingredients from their menu and this is huge for those of us who monitor what they're eating. While the menu is limited, if you're going out to grab a quick burrito or taco, this place is top notch all the way. First of all, being a long time vegan, I was thrilled to see the Sofritas (organic tofu that's shredded and braised with chipotle chilis, roasted poblanos and spices) as a filling right up there with the chicken and meat. A denoted "vegan" option is something you don't ordinarily see on a fast food menu. And it was delicious. Really good, quality meat substitutes are hit or miss, but Chipotle definitely nailed it. They also carry Izze, (a carbonated juice drink that contains no refined sugars, preservatives, or artificial flavors) as well as coke products. It's nice to see that the restaurant is not only carrying high quality produts, but they're giving their customers a choice (ie- chicken or tofu, coke or Izze). It makes me feel like I'm not being marginalized when I'm coming out to eat here, which is an excellent way to make a customer feel like they're welcome. After having been here twice, the one thing that strikes me is that the employees are extremely friendly and personable. I was greeted with a big smile and a great attitude, and even a little small talk, as they took my order and made my food. I have to say, this alone goes a long way. Customer service is a big deal for me, and these days is make or break when I decide if I'm going to return to a business. The restaurant is also very CLEAN. The prep area is very clean (and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and wholesome) as well as the self serve area where you get your soda, condiments, napkins, etc. And you can see directly into the back kitchen when you're paying at the register and everything was extremely clean and well organized. Overall, coming here is a great experience. Who wouldn't like a place with a friendly staff AND a "food with integrity" philosophy? I will definitely be back.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
