If you want real pizza and not "fast food" pizza (i.e. Domino's or Papa John's) then this is the place to go. By far, my favorite pizza place and the best food for takeout/delivery. I prefer just cheese pizza and they have just about perfected the sauce to cheese to crust ratio (I get extra cheese). Nice thick crust, not too saucy and delicious mouthfuls of cheese. And it's cut into square, which I much prefer over the triangle pizzas. However, even though they are much better quality than any "fast food" pizza place, you pay the price in time. I've waited almost twice as long for a Tommy's pizza delivery than Domino's but it's definitely worth the wait.

Dear Tommy's Pizza, I miss you. So much! Living in Florida now, I don't have the snow or cold but I also can't find a real pizza. If it was just a regular pizza, I'd call Papa Johns, call it a day and sit on the beach as I laugh at all my family still in New England but it's not just a regular pizza I'm missing. Tommy's has spoiled me, not to mention their spinach pies are out of this world. To the reviewer who ordered the "vegan" pizza and couldn't believe the girl taking the order didn't know what it was and said they were rude...You called an old school Italian restaurant and ordered a "vegan" pizza. Come on! This isn't an East Side place that caters to bearded men in skinny jeans and the women that love them but they do cater to people who love great food at great prices. Oh and Rhode Islanders are a bit gruff by nature but most also have giant hearts. Give them another chance but lose the "vegan" pizza and replace it with one of their extra done, Italian sausage/extra cheese masterpieces! It'll be a life changing event for you.

You can't really go wrong here. One of my favorite pizza places, great spinach pies too.

Nothing to rave about here. Inconsistency is really killing them. First time I had their pizza, it was really comparable to Caserta's. Traditional, greasy, curled-up mini pepperoni cup kind of pizza. The second time, I had an eggplant pizza (their specialty) and it was better than good. Salt, pepper, whatever was was on it made me want to order again! Just had an eggplant pizza and a deluxe (without anchovies) today. Both were bland and dry - even when we asked for extra sauce. I didn't even eat a second piece of either. Was hoping the Yelp reviews about it being hit/miss were wrong. Can't say they are. And it was really expensive! $40 for 2 pizzas? I'm broke + unsatisfied! ByeBye, Bad Pizza.

A Rhode Island Institution Tommy's has been around for 40-50 years and there's a reason. This is one of my favorite pizzas in Providence, but there are 2 issues. One, you can't eat in there. The place is tiny and uncomfortable. Two, like others have said, it can be inconsistent. However, when they get it right it's pretty damn good. If you've never been here before, order a pepperoni black olive pizza well done. Get it to go. Great pizza most of the time. Thanks

Tommy's Pizza is the best pizza maybe in the world LOL .. to me :) There is plenty of sauce and cheese on the pizza. They normally cook the pizza just a touch over, which makes the crust crispy and amazing. It is on the thin side. Their Green Monster is a HUGE (you can feed 2 with it) spinach pie with cheese and olives a little crispy too, and to die for. And it's about $3!!! I don't mind the clutter of the place (pizza boxes) that I've seen others talk about, but I've been going to Tommy's since I was kid, about 35 years so I'm used to it. I don't usually eat inside, but I do enjoy it. There are limited tables. 4 or 5 booths and 2 tables. I make sure to take all my out-of-town friends there when they visit. As of recently, however, their pizza prices have really gone up. :( I think my last large was $17.00 (w/o delivery tip). It's worth the money to me, though :)

Love Tommy's! I've been having Tommy's since I was a kid living on Harold Street. I've moved since then TWICE and I will always go back to Tommy's!

For many years, I felt Tommy's had the best pizza in Providence. The woman who answers the phone can be rude at times, but the pizza was worth it. I didn't have to live with her. :) I ordered a pizza last night, and was disappointed to receive a very dry pie. Tommy's has become a hit or miss place. The prices are higher than most pizzerias in the area, yet the quality and consistency has declined.

Hands down favorite pizza ever! We always order ours well done because we like our crust a little crunchy, and it comes out just perfect every time. The Italian grinder is pretty good and the spinach pies are great! Definitely recommend!

Why just 3 stars...... I so wanted to like this place. It has all the ingredients. Small, low ceilings, slightly below ground with housing upstairs and a real pizza joint feel. Sadly I was so not impressed. Mainly because I ordered a pizza with mushrooms and ....OMG they were from a can! The sausage was good as was the peperoni and bell peppers but guys really.....a can....you just can't do this. Add this incredulity the pie was a little uncooked in the center and was certainly not done in a coal or wood fired oven. On an up note the service was very friendly and the beer cold.

Best pizza, wing zings & spinach pies in Prov. Me and my coworker have lunch here often.

Tommys is the only pizza joint that gets EXTRA pepperoni right. And their pepperoni is the only pepperoni in the state that still curls up and makes great little cups of grease. (Perfect Pizza every time).

This pizza! Not fancy, not trendy, but tasty, plentiful, and cheap. It should tell you a lot when I say I drive past a lot of other pizza places to get here, some of which might even deliver to me. Some people might say the ambiance is a little lacking*, but it makes up for it in the friendliness of the staff and the feeling that it really is the quintessential local pizza place, where they really do know all the regulars. The sauce to crust to cheese ratio is just about perfect, and it's never soggy or burnt. Also, the sausage is proper Italian sausage, grilled and then sliced. That alone almost merits a star in my book. *Having to go to the closed upstairs portion, outside, for the restrooms is a little skeevy.

Visiting friends in Providence so we stopped by this place to enjoy some pizza and patronize a local business. We enjoyed it a lot. They have a chair memorializing my friends brother. Family owned and great food. I ordered large pizza wit pepperoni. Small meatball sub and French Fries. All tasted great. Glad I decided on pizza. We were visiting from Pembroke Pines, FL.

I wish they would clean the place! The carpet is disgustingly dirty and makes you not to even walk on it. I would not want to bring friends here even though the pizza is just great. Please consider cleaning and at the very least replacing the front door carpet. I would then be happy to recommend friends. I could then give it a 5 star rating as the pizza and sandwiches are remarkably great. Thanks

I don't know how I just tried this for the first time last week, but Tommy's got it going onnn! I think it might be the best pizza I've found in Providence thus farr.. but you gotta get xtra cheeese on it. The crust is thick, but good sauce to (xtra) cheese ratio. Also, they have spinach pies that are like $3 and soooo good. You could prob get full off one or two of those alone. I also like the vintage pizza place feeel of the place.

I think this place is overall my favorite pizza place. I think their pizza is so delicious and thier green monsters are to die for. I go out of my way to go and get this pizza and I'm never disappointed. I think the staff are very pleasant and I'm am very pleased with thier service.

Great for takeout! It feels as if Tommy's has been around a long time. Very small restaurant with a handful of tables down a set of stairs. I think most people like takeout or delivery because the tables are frequently empty. Parking is not so easy on Chalkstone. IMHO the large pepperoni pizza is one of best square pizza's in Providence. The green monster is spinach calzone with pepperoni, cheese & blk olives a very tasty side with your pizza. The wait can be long on wknds so plan ahead. During the week 20 minutes for a large pizza is the norm. Tommy's is in our weekly pizza rotation & always will be!

Best pizza I've had in Providence so far! I never had eggplant pizza until I moved to Providence two months ago and now it's the standard I judge all other pizza places against. Well, that and anchovy pizza, which by the way is also amazing at Tommy's. It's a cozy atmosphere inside with funky vintage decor. I don't eat chicken but maybe once every six months; my boyfriend got the chicken parm sandwich and I could not resist! It was delicious!

Usually when a business lists they are open till a specified time it would be expected that you could get a particular service as advertised. I was looking for a couple of pies for the family and I at around 10:30pm. I looked online to find Tommy's open until 11pm. So we scrolled through the menu to get an idea of what we would order, but at around 10:40pm when I made the phone call to place my order I was greeted on the other end with "were closed" followed by the line cutting off. I wasn't sure if I read the hours of business wrong, but to my amazement the hours of business stated 11pm. Nowhere was it stated, "delivery shuts down at 10, or 10:30pm, just close at 11pm. I wondered to myself if this was an ownership call, or the current at store management figuring that the business had made enough money for the night to shut down premature. The sign in front of the store says, rated #1 pizza in Rhode Island in 2003, well it's been ten years now, I think they need to get off their high horse and realize that there's plenty of other pizza shops in Providence who deserve my business. You just lost this one.

I'm more of a thin-crust pizza lover, but I will fight you for a corner slice of Tommy's pizza! There's something about the crispy edge pieces that is so yummy. I won't touch the inside pieces (without crust) because they're too doughy and ted to get soggy. I like that you can order the pizza "well-done" to get the cheese a little browned and the pepperonis crunchy. I think picking up a pizza is the way to go. Delivery can definitely take a while, especially on the weekends or when there's a big game on tv.

Tasty pizza and cheap too. I have two problems with this place, one of which can be avoided entirely. The first is: never get delivery. They will always take 45+ minutes no matter what time of day you call. The second is if you get any pizza with meat it will be very, very greasy. The veggie and plain cheese pizza's do not seem to have this problem. The crust, as others have pointed out, is beyond delicious. They get it right EVERY time. I love this place (when I pick the food up) and the service is really nice and friendly.

The pizza at Tommy's is great, theres always a little bit of a wait, but the food is so good, who cares. Its very tasty, cooked right everytime, and cut in squares, I love pizza cut in squares! Plus the employees are so friendly it hurts!

I was super disappointed with Tommy's this weekend. I've gotten the large white spinach pizza in the past and it has been fabulous. Crispy, garlicky and just the perfect amount of grease. Unfortunately I had the opposite experience on Saturday. I went with the small spinach pizza and received a flavorless crap fest instead. The pie had no layer of cheese on the base (like the large does) and was covered in an inch of extremely watery, non-seasoned spinach. On top of the spinach was a mere smattering of cheese. I ate one slice and tossed the rest, it was like biting into a wet sponge. I also got a small spinach pie to try, it was supposed to come with pepperoni in it and I guess that technically it did, but those 4 measly slices don't really count in my book. Lastly, my bf got a small deluxe pie and while I though the tomato sauce was pretty flavorful it was also sorely lacking in the cheese department. Not worth the price, the calories or the grease. There is much better pizza in Providence.

Can't count how many times I've ordered from this place. Pizza is fine. However, they treated me (as a customer), badly. Made a mistake with an order and delivered cold food. They didn't even consider re-heating. Wouldn't be so bad if the order wasn't for an out of town family member.

When it comes to pizza, I am a bit picky. Why wouldn't I be when I live in the land of pizza (aka Providence)? I have a few places that I enjoy, but finding one that will delivery to my house is another story. I was feeling adventurous and decided to try a new place. After reading other Yelp reviews, I determined delivery was the way to go. When I called to place my order, the woman who answered the phone was anything but polite, patient, or nice. I asked if their mushrooms were canned or fresh; they are in fact canned. So I forewent toppings and ordered a small cheese pizza. She didn't offer the price, I had to ask. And she hung up on me before I could give her instructions for the delivery driver. Delivery was relatively quick, but the delivery driver was just as friendly as the employee on the phone. The pizza was pretty good. Thin crust and plenty of sauce. The cheese was nice and fresh which is a must for me. The key deciding factor for me is how it tastes warmed up later on. My other place is great hot but gross rewarmed. Well Tommy's Pizza is just as good reheated. However, their lack of fresh ingredients is somewhat of a deterrent in making this my new go to pizza delivery place.

My father will tell you he's been coming here since he was a kid and Tommy was the original owner. He will also tell you the place has not changed a bit and that's a beautiful thing. We come here quite a bit and always have a great experience. The decor is kind of like your hoarder aunts house. There's all types of cool old memorabilia all over the places. It's small but cozy. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is made fresh and served piping hot. If your in a hurry call ahead of time since it's made to order. We always get fries and the portions pretty big. They are crispy and hot as fries should be. I always get a small cheese pizza cooked well and it's always on point. I'm not sure what they put in the gravy " I'm italian that's what we call it " but it had a little sweetness to it. If your looking for a small locally owned pizza place with reasonable prices good food and good service id highly recommend it. And bring me. I can't get enough of it.

Got take-out with a friend. The place is small, cluttered with empty boxes and really needs a good dusting, it was very off putting and made me wonder about the kitchen. The pizza itself was good and if the place was clean, I would go back. I just can't see myself going back unless they cleaned it up and removed the empty boxes. It's a shame because the pizza was decent,

I have a problem and should probably look for a Yelper's Anonymous group to join stat because I am addicted to trying out new places due to other Yelper's being kind enough to share their experience. Unfortunately, I should have steered clear from Tommy's when my boyfriend said he was thoroughly dissatisfied with his order a few months ago but I thought, "give them a chance, things could be different! The reviews on Yelp have been really positive the last few weeks." He didn't budge so I went ahead and ordered a small vegan pizza. I thought it was pretty overpriced (over $13) for just bread, sauce, mushrooms, olives, peppers & spinach but if it's quality food, you can't complain. Karma must have been on my side because almost an hour (less than 10 mins shy) of placing my order, the pizza was still not here. I did have a lot of trouble placing the order on the phone with the young woman (I'm still surprised at how many people don't know what a vegan is) but I clearly remember her saying it would be there in a HALF hour. When I called up to cancel (they were already closed), the man who answered should never be allowed to answer the phone. He was so disgustingly rude, my boyfriend's mouth dropped open. He said I was told 45 mins (not true) and that the delivery guy should be heading out soon (okay?). I declined very politely and he yelled and said he will never deliver to my house again and never to call there. I get it, we're all human and he was probably having a bad day but that's not my problem. I was honestly taken aback that the only thing I could say was, "Uh, (Expletive) OFF!" and I hung up before he got the chance to berate me again although I could still hear him yelling as I was hanging up. Plainly: They over-promised and undelivered. A call would have been nice, especially since they were already closed. Don't worry Mr. Rude Guy, it is my pleasure to never have to spend my hard-earned money at an establishment that talks to "potential" customers like he's talking to his buddies.

The best pizza in Providence. Get it well done with hot pepper rings. They cut it in squares which reminds me of every pizza I ate as a kid. Love it. I think I'm gonna go get some right now!

I keep giving this place another chance because the Providence location is fantastic. However, the cranston location is absolutely wretched. I can honestly say chef boy-ardee makes a better tomato sauce.

This place sucks. How can the one in Cranston be totally different then the one in providence. If you want Tommy's pizza take the extra 15 min and go to providence

Wow Tommy's used to be good! Pizza was nothing special, the spinach pies where awful! The dough was hard and dry...I threw it away

  • Erica C.

This is the pizza I grew up with. I STILL prefer it to Casertas. BUT it's only the pizza I grew up with 50% of the time. I feel like there is an issue with consistency. Sometimes the sauce is great. Sometimes it tastes watered down. Sometimes the cheese and brown and bubbly. Sometimes it seems not cooked enough. And the spinach pies, why don't they season the spinach?! I mean even a little. Salt and pepper goes a long way! There, Casertas wimpy skimpy wins. But I keep going back, hoping this time I'll get the right pizza.

  • Brian M.

at this point I only get one thing here and it's the eggplant pizza. It's good stuff. my one beef with this place is the time they informed me I'd have to pay 7% extra if i paid with a credit card. I am pretty sure this is illegal in this state, and also probably breaking their merchant agreement as well.

  • Maki Y.

Tommy's, Tommy's, Tommy's. The amount of sauce and cheese you add to your pizzas has been a bit inconsistent over the past couple of years, but I still keep coming back to you. You're solid. Your piping hot, humongous pizzas are really great for lazy Sundays and I'll always be thankful for that. Likelihood of another visit: I actually only ever pick up pizza or have it delivered. The inside is quite small and...messy.

  • Jessyloo B.

My first attempt at a search for delivery in smith hill. Satisfied. $20 for 3 meals worth of food. Spinach white pizza with a TON of spinach was simple but tastey. Crisped it in my oven. Really nice gal on the phone. Delivery driver courteous (in a Sandals van). Id try the eggplant pizza, but you cant add spinach to it? Maybe adding eggplant to the spinach pie would work...

  • Mckenzie G.

I'm been wanting to try Tommy's ever since they were featured in RI monthly for the best pizza, but the last time I tried, I was told that the wait for a pick up pizza would be over an hour, and I was just too hungry to wait that long. This time I stopped by on a weekday night and placed an order for take out and waiting for it. The pizza came out about 25 minutes later, nice and hot. The woman working the counter was friendly and I could tell that a lot of the people who were coming in to eat were regulars. That always gives a place a good vibe. I can see what one reviewer said about them being a little arrogant, but I also think that there is a distinct atmosphere created that is very Rhode Island, so I embraced that element of the place. Driving home with the pizza was brutal because the amazing smell, and I think that the smell of the pizza might be one of its best features. I don't quite know what it was about the pizza that was off. It smelled good and I liked the taste of the tomato sauce, but there was some element to it that felt a little plasticy. Sadly, I was a little disappointed.

If you want to go to an old school pizza joint where you can have a couple beers and eat some great thick crust pizza this is the place. I almost don't want to review it because I don't want other people to know about this gem.

Ooo that photo of a slice is making me drool for Tommy's. Even though it's personified with googly eyes - sorry little buddy! Tommy's is the only thing I miss from when I lived in this neighborhood. And I miss it BIG time. Soft crust, crispy edges, flavorful cheese - not too much. Happy square pizza. My only issue is that the veggie toppings aren't fresh, but the marinated jar stuff is still really good on this pizza... it's a Tommy's thing.

  • Mark S.

Yummy pizza and great subs. I am surprised by the negative reviews. I've ordered from Tommy's more than I would like to admit. My friends discussed having a Tommy's intervention at one point. Out of all the times I've ordered I only got one pizza that sucked. Delivery always takes a while so plan accordingly. If you're in a hurry this is NOT the place to order from. They are very busy and it seems the majority of their business is delivery. The reason I say this is is because every time I've picked up a pie there is nobody in there and the phones (2 lines) do not stop ringing. Multiple drivers are running in and out with orders. I'll admit I was super pissed the first time I ordered and they took an hour. Now that I know what to expect I'm fine with it. OK on to the food. The pizza is thicker crust and the large are rectangular. I like both the inside pieces (more sauce) and the outside (more crust). Order your pie well done! The pepperoni are addicting. They use the fresh cut kind that curl up and get crispy with a little grease in the middle. Yum! The subs are great too. Served on hard rolls with fresh ingredients. I've had the super Italian, chicken parm, tuna and meatball. They were all great. Typical appetizers. Wing zings are yummy and so are the mozzy sticks. Although the mozzy sticks come in a weird number, it always looks like the delivery guy ate one on the way..... The service has always been fine. I have never dined it so I can't really judge. The drivers are all nice and it's always the same ones.

Well, now here's a place that I started to come to when I was commuting between Los Angeles and Providence about 20 years ago. It was very good at that time and it is still very good. I don't know if its still run by the same owner, but I do remember the "Pigs in Blankets" in the window sign after all this time. I've never taken anything to go, so I don't know about how that is, but the pizzas are great...

    (4)
  • Mike M.

i used to eat there a lot. The pizza was thin but filled with taste. I tried their chicken fingers and spinach pies, and enjoyed both. Not priced badly, but for some reason i stopped going there. It might have been their shitty attitude on the phone.

    (4)
  • Kristen M.

This place is just okay. I heard it was great but nahhhhhh. Honestly I would prefer Pizza Hut. The pizza was extremely BLAND as numerous other people stated in they're reviews. Tommy -smarten the f up and step up your game bro or people are going to stop buying your pizza. Your behind in the times and here's a tip tell your cook to use some salt and pepper maybe a little garlic and FRESH veggies not some broccoli from the jolly green giant. I will say this - girl at the register you were very very kind and I would consider returning because of your customer service skills. She's prob running the place hands down.

Oh pizza, how I love thee. Pizza, like people, come in all varieties. I'm open to trying them *all* and that, my friend, is one of my life goals! wish me luck... (trying all pizza, not people, let's be clear here) Tommy's is one of my favourite takeout pizza places. (or delivery) The rectangle of yummyness is, IMO, tough to beat. So far in Providence I've only found 2 places that make the (pizza) cut. I've reviewed the other already. I don't get fancy with my pizza, the most I usually do is maybe add peppers and onions. otherwise I'm a cheese pizza, straight up, kind of dude. The entire package at Tommy's can be a hit or miss. The young woman who usually runs the phones and takes orders is very sweet and upbeat. Once in awhile, though, you do get attitude flung at you from someone else. I can't 100% say who it is, but I'm fairly certain that one time it was the owner. whatever. at least he knows that the other 95% of the time, when the young lady is fielding the calls, is his best option and he should stick to it. She's a keeper. I don't like eating there because its small and dark. The odd nautical decor throws me too. It's a pizza joint! that serves spinach pies and other things too - but I've never ever gotten any of those. Why fix it if it ain't broke, right?!?! right. and the huge stacks of alreadymadeuppizzaboxes reallllllllllllly doesn't jive with me either. It makes it seem cluttered in there. I opt for delivery or take out. My only real criticism about the pizza itself is recently I think they changed the size of the pizza. It's smaller. Not by much, but it still smaller and the same price. This is a problem to me for 2 reasons: 1. I'm getting less pizza for the same price, and I hardly think they are really getting that much $$ return on it. 2. the pie makers haven't adjusted their sauce scoop to the new pizza size so it's *very* saucy now. (I like the sauce so, yes, I'm a martyr and am willing to take one for the team - le sigh*) My overall review is this place: get the pizza it's good, forget the service or the attitude. who cares!? life's to short not to have good pizza because someone has a hair across their.............(beeeeeeeep) Cheers!!!

  • Shell A.

I want to give this place 5 stars because when they make the pizza properly, it is absolutely delicious, although quite greasy. It comes in a big rectangle, cut in squares. It's not thin, but also not too thick. But lately they seem to have issues with overcooking the pizza! It's very disappointing that they would still deliver a pizza knowing they burnt it. When it's not burnt, it's hard to stop eating. But the last few times they've given me a way overcooked pizza, and it's just not the same. It's not that good and the crust is too hard to even eat. It makes me hesitant to order from them again because I'm unsure of what I will even get! And they didn't make a good first impression on the friends I ordered with because of this issue. Also, it's pretty pricey!

    (4)
  • Vanessa M.

I was not impressed. The crust and sauce are tasteless, they can't cut their pizza correctly, and all the toppings fell off when I tried to pick it up. The toppings were tasty at least. Atmosphere? Meh. Service? Meh. Would I go back? Nope.

  • Will H.

Good thick crust pizza if that's what you like. Prices are very reasonable for portions.

  • Kel S.

Eh. I was told this was the best pizza in the neighborhood. This could be true, as I haven't found any place great... yet. It was OK, but not my cup of tea. I much prefer thin crust. This is RI style Sicilian.

  • Orlando R.

Since my last review was "flagged" on Tommy's (what happened to freedom of speech??), I'll write another one and be nice about it. I like Tommy's. Been coming here since I was a kid, but...I can't say I "love" Tommy's. The service is sometimes arrogant, and the delivery sucks (it took them two hours to get to my house once). However, I do love their broccoli pies. They're drenched in grease which is what makes them the best. The pizza? Eh, not so much. I also enjoy the curly fries, those are crispy wrinkles of potato-y goodness! Tommy's is alright in my book, but as I said, just don't call for delivery.

    (3)

I used to love Tommy's when I was a kid. I ordered there a few times now and it's been consistently ok/less than ok. Pizza always comes cold, and the spinach pie was really bland. Sadly last night was no exception...

Used to go here when I lived in the neighborhood over 20 years ago. Tommy's hasn't changed but the neighborhood has. This is my wife's favorite pizza in the state. She is from NY but isn't one of those "I'm from NY so I know pizza" a holes. Far better than Caserta's and certainly better than anything in the east bay. Worth driving to Providence for and since I will be in the area on a weekly basis will become a regular stop again. Even my kids liked in and they don't like anything except chicken fingers.

3 words: Where's the cheese?!! 3 more words: Where's the sauce?!! 3 last words: Where's the crust??? I am extremely disapointed with this tough and tasteless pizza. I paid with credit card, over the phone, for delivery. I was told it would be almost an hour before my pizza was ready, so I decided to go pick it up myself. Magically the wait changed to 20 minutes. I arrived within 20 minutes of my phone call to pick up my pizza I already paid for. I opened the box, and the pizza looked strange, as if there was none of the pepperoni or cheese I had asked for. It looked burned and over cooked. I lifted the crust, and it was perfectly golden brown. I read on yelp that the crust is perfect always, and it sure looked perfect...but I got to my car and took a bite-it was hard as a rock and had no flavor. One yelp reviewer said the crust had an herbal hint....well, that is a boldface lie. The whole pizza lacked flavor in general. The pepperoni is sliced so thin that you can't even taste it-it just tastes like a spot of salt in that area. Where is my cheeeeeeeeeese?! It doesn't exist on this pizza.it is such a thin sprinkle of cheese that it disapears and you can't even taste it. When I complained to them, they responded that this is how the pizza is supposed to look and taste, and if I don't like it then too bad. Are you kidding? If the pizza is supposed to be hard as a rock and chewy, with no sauce or cheese, then I have to give this place a 1. I would reccomend people stay away from tommys...gross. Also, the crust is super thin. That must be a rhode island preference. My pizza was a deluxe, and was not greasy at all.heavy handed on olives and canned mushrooms, but skimpy on everything else. Also, the pizza was round, not square. I was definately at the tommys on chalkstone, so why was my pizza so gross compared to everyone elses? After the attitude from staff, I won't give them another chance. p.s. counter girl was very polite and smiled alot, but that doesn't make up for nasty pizza.

A few of the fellows got together last night and one of them brought three pizzas from Tommy's. (It's for that reason I can't speak to the wait time. I wasn't there to observe.) WOW! Oblong pizza cut into squares, nice savoury little discs of pepperoni scattered across a gooey melting of cheese over tangy tomato sauce - and the CRUST! Heaven on earth, that crust! Crisp, a bit of an herbal flavour to it, and nicely browned to a dark turn in spots. Chewy/crunchy and an absolute delight! Now fellas and gals, pie like this is what makes Rhode Island Rhode Island, let me tell you! I can't see how their product could be improved...unless, of course, there were more of it. I'm still thinking of that pie and, like Pavlov's dogs, I'm salivating. Buy a pizza from Tommy's - you will too!

Looking for the perfect slice? Order from Tommy's for perfect every time pizza! I highly recommend the eggplant pizza, it is a bit longer of a wait but trust me when I say that the wait is well worth it :) So why not take a chance and try something new!
