Really good bakery style sauce pizza. The sauce was rich in flavor and robust. With it being eaten warm it really brought out the flavor and the Parmesan that was placed on top. It comes in small squares and slices like regular pizza. Definitely a must to try.

I literally live across the street from this place, so it had to be good or I was in trouble. Luckily this place is awesome. They have some great specialty pizzas and they are very flexible and are willing to customize pizzas for you. They can do deep dish or regular, have a bunch of awesome toppings, and here's the best part. They have the standard pizza sauce, or Alfredo or any of their 20 some odd chicken wing sauces, that can go in your shell! So awesome, great crew, my Friday night meal almost every week

I've been driving by Tomato City for a good 10 years now and last night was the very first, and very last time I will be ordering here. I was having about 7 people over to hang out at my place on Saturday night and because of the steaming hot weather, I didn't feel like cooking, nor did I want to ask friends to cook either; we decided to have pizza delivered. Since I've moved to my apartment on the North Side, the only pizza place close by is Twins and I'm not a fan. Tomato City popped into my head, so I hopped on Yelp, checked out the menu and was thrilled with the endless pizza options. When I called in the order, for 1 large cheese and 1 medium with peppers, onions and black olives, I literally had to repeat my address a good 8 times. I live on Charles St., not that hard. I even phonetically spelled it out for him: "C as in Cat", "H as in Hat", "A as in Apple", you get the idea. I paid with my card over the phone and was told 45 minutes. Approximately 30 minutes later I get a phone call asking me to confirm my address AGAIN! If the pizza wasn't already on the way, I probably would've just cancelled the order at that point but the fact was that I had a house full of hungry friends. Thankfully, the delivery guy was able to find my address and we did get our pizza within the 45 minute time frame I had been initially quoted. Now, as for the pizza... it wasn't anything to write home about. I thought it was bland; the sauce was boring and the crust was dry. Others didn't seem to mind it as much and of course, I did eat it because I was starving. That having been said, I don't think I'll be ordering from Tomato City again. Had the pizza been stellar and mouth wateringly delicious, I would've sucked up the address issue and moved on; sadly, this is not the case. Oh! And to boot, at 9:30 I get a phone call from Tomato City. My friend answered my phone because I couldn't get to it and apparently the girl on the other end was asking if I had paid with credit card or cash; he, for some reason, told her cash even though she told him I paid with a card. He ended up hanging up on her so I didn't get the chance to figure out what was going on, but I did check my bank account and the appropriate amount was charged. I'm unsure of their reason for calling, but it was unsettling to say the least.

They took and hour an half to deliver, they were rude when I called back to ask why it is taking so long to deliver. You can tell they threw the phone together poorly, I'll never order from here again. Awful experience waiting for nasty food.

The pizza & salad was delicious! I think I paid $28 for a large eggplant parm pizza and Greek salad. which too me is a little expensive for take out, no delivery charges included. I will say though the food was really good. The salad was SO fresh. I do wish they used Greek olives instead of just regular olives, but again I cant stress how fresh and large it was . I actually ate half of it for lunch the next day. I will def be back to try other pizzas and for that salad. The feta cheese and that salty goodness! yum

I ordered delivery and was very surprised at how good the pizza is. I live very close to this location, so it's good to know I have a convenient pizza joint that serves decent pies. The pricing is slightly higher than others, but from time to time, it's worth it for the convenience. The menu is huge and has some pretty creative specialty pizzas, which is cool. I ordered the Italian Classic #3, which has meatball and ricotta. Super tasty -- I didn't even have to ask for a well done crust like I normally do. It was nice and crunchy the way I like it (not dark, just perfect). The guy answering the phone when I ordered was a bit confused and distracted on the phone, especially with my simple order. He took my address down incorrectly, but luckily took the right phone number, since the driver had to call to ask for my address. Overall positive experience. Looking forward to try their wings.

Good pizza, The smell of the pizza is enough to make your mouth water. My issue is that whenever I have meat or chicken on the pizza, it is very dry.

Tomato City is kind of run-of-the-mill, but it's really not. Fresh-tasting ingredients (considering the size of the operation, they're pretty fresh) fair prices and the best part is, when getting delivery, they actually arrive on time (or earlier than expected). I'm looking at you, Sicilia's. For those like me, a strict vege, not having to modify your pie (because there is actually something tasty you can order) is awesome. Their "Light Veggie" has tons of veg, plenty of their thick, semi-sweet red stuff and no effing cheese. Order it on whole wheat crust and boom - you don't have to feel crazy-ashamed for having pulled the grenade pin and gorging yourself on 3/4 of a large. That's six pieces for those bad with fractions.

I had not had tomato city pizza in forever. At least 8 years. I remember it being so good. We ordered this past weekend and it was definitely not like I remember. I used to consider this one of the best pizza places. Just didn't taste as good as I remember, something has definitely changed since the last time I had it.

Pizza slices were greasy and tasted stale to me. Sandwich was edible, but not that great. The roll wasn't good. I would think a place w homemade pizza dough would make their own rolls, but these lacked any texture whatsoever. I will say that the staff is really nice, helpful and friendly.

I ordered a wheat hand made pizza. It was delivered at my home as cold and there was no cheese on it. The worst pizza I ever had in the town....

My new favorite pizza place. Had it for the first time and then went back three more times in one week! Love the pizza, boneless wings are big I personally just didn't care for the buffalo garlic sauce but my husband did. Just ordered a deep dish pizza, regular pizza, and a sandwich tonight, hope it's still good!

This place is right around the corner from my house, but only my second time ordering from here. Was in the mood for pizza and wings and this place certainly did not disappoint. Ended up using one of their deals where if you spend $30 you receive a free medium pepperoni or cheese pizza with the purchase. Ended up ordering an extra large Portuguese specialty pizza and added on wings and fries to our meal. Both pizza's were well cooked. The toppings on the Portuguese specialty pizza were fresh and the pizza as a whole had good flavor to it. Had an order of 10 hot wings and while I was hoping for something with a little more of a kick, the sauce had good flavor and the wing portions were great. The fries were also a good portion and were tasty with the honey mustard dipping sauce. Overall, definitely a great little local place for take out pizza. They have tons of different pizza options to choose from, along with alot of different and unique wing sauces (which I'm looking forward to trying). I'll definitely be back again.

The pizza, wings and tenders are delicious. Love trying a new wing sauce every time I order, they are all very creative and tasty. The only downfall is delivery takes forever. Usually an hour plus no matter the time or day of the week. Your better off ordering and picking it up yourself.

Tried to call in my order tonight; same I've placed a dozen times (XL, half specialty half another specialty). For some reason the girl on the phone was in a terrible mood and snapped at me saying they "could not do it." I love their pizza, so explained that they were able to make it previousely. This, apparently, made her more agitated as she declared... "Well my manager is cooking tonight. She said she can't, so we're not going to make it!" NY Pizza thanks you for your terrible service.

I do have to say, living right across the street from an amazing pizza place does have it's perks! Tons of different pizzas to chose from so you never get bored. Amazing grinders as well. And the salads? Huge and fresh! This is one of my favorite places to eat!

Being surrounded by pizza joints (the joy of living near a college) I thought I had tried them all until hubs and I decided to give Tomato City a whirl, and boy am I glad we did. This place is definitely our new go-to pizza spot. We ordered a pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni and it was delicious! Then this past week we tried their bakery pizza and it's definitely my new favorite. Their sauce is a great combination of sweet and tangy, it's perfect. Their menu had a lot of other items, including a deep dish pizza which I hope to try next. Everything was reasonably priced and they give you coupons with your order. Definitely try this place out!

After moving to North Providence and our favorite wing place South Street shutting down, we had a difficult time finding wings that we loved. We have tried wings from many different places and always felt dissatisfied and misled, to the point that we did not want to order wings from anywhere ever again. Somehow, we ordered wings from Tomato City one day and to our surprise...they were very good! Good enough to replace "South Street wings". If you were ever a South Street wing fan, then you know what we mean. To me, these wings are a lot better, but my boyfriend just can't come to terms with losing South Street forever. Although we have been eating here for a while, we are very rigid in our ordering. We have also had the pepperoni pizza deluxe (deep dish), regular pepperoni pizza and fries. The delivery wait is pretty long (45 minutes) seeing that it's less than 7 minutes away from our house, but this is the one places where we would actually order fries from because they are still crispy when they arrive. We eat here at least once a week, which may not be great for our waistlines but says a lot about the food.

This is up there with my very few choices of pizza places. I am extremely picky about my pizza and Tomato City keeps up!! Good selection of specialty but even good to just go with a pepperoni.

The best buffalo chicken pizza in the area! I have been ordering pizza from Tomato City for over 5 years and have never had a bad experience. We really like the creative pizza combinations, we are fans of the buffalo chicken, portuguese lovers, and BLT pizzas. Only downside is that sometimes their hours are flaky and when you call the phone just rings and rings. This really sucks when a craving hits! Oh and their pizza reheats very well, we often take the leftovers for lunch.

I've been craving deep-dish pizza for weeks now and my husband discovered this place via Yelp! of all places! While it wasn't what I expected (hard to live up to my small town, hometown expectations) however, it was both the literally heaviest pizzas we've had, but also super yummy, only needed one piece for dinner. We got the sausage, spinach deep dish, lots of both. We were impressed with overall options, and option or wheat crust (even if unavailable for deep dish). And the cheesy breadsticks was actually closer to what I was craving in my small town, hometown expectations so I was a happy girl. End result: new pizza delivery place to add to the list, and craving technically satisfied. All good.

I moved to North Providence five months ago and never really made a serious effort to find great pizza near me. Earlier this week I got a flyer for Tomato City in the mail, checked out the website, and decided to give it a try, mainly because of the vast variety of wing sauces they boasted. I have never been so happy I got flyer in the mail. I ordered the meatball parmesan pizza, which they advertise as "Extra red sauce, extra meatballs, extra pizza cheese with a light sprinkle of Italian seasonings. Topped with fresh Parmesan & Romano cheeses after the pizza is removed from the oven." I am someone who likes a LOT of sauce. When I order pizza, I always ask for extra sauce. Since this said extra sauce already, I decided to just order it as is. And it came exactly as advertised! The sauce, which has an inherent sweetness - something I personally love - oozed out of the pizza every time I took a bite. There was plenty of cheese, and a generous amount of meatball, which somehow stayed moist through cooking. The crust is unremarkable, which is exactly how I like my crust. I am all about what is on top of the crust, I feel like the crust should be good, but not the focus. That's exactly what this crust was - crispy around the edges, soft underneath, just a solid vehicle for the amazing toppings. The pizza would be enough, but the wings... I will absolutely go back to TCP over and over again for the wings, and will probably be bringing them to every football watching party for the rest of the season. They were big, plump wings cooked perfectly. The chicken was juicy and the skin stayed a bit crispy, despite being smothered in DELICIOUS sauce. I was really torn about what sauce to get, but landed on Hot & Spicy Garlic. Absolutely fantastic. I will have a hard time making myself try their other sauces because I know I will crave this one again. There was simply nothing wrong with my experience. I really don't feel like it could have been improved upon. Pizza is subjective, everyone has their own tastes/preferences. TCP suits mine perfectly.

El pipó, this is the best pizza in the NP area. The only down side is that their take out service is horrible. Nonetheless, the food is good so I guess that makes up for it.

I don't know about this place. I think I'll have to give it another chance in the future, but for now, It's just ok. Part of it might be that they made me the wrong order, which I didn't realize till I got home. Luckily I'm not picky, but it wasn't what I was psyched for. Also, I ordered it well down - as instructed - but it was a little too well done for my liking. When I brought it to work the next day, everyone thought I had burnt my pizza. The ingredients were good, but I think I need to try it again with the right order and a little less burnt. Luckily I have a page of coupons for just that reason

We ordered pizza from here for the first time and I have to say by far hands-down best pizza ever granted the delivery time was a little late but considering how bad the traffic is outside today on a Friday they came at a decent time nevertheless it still didn't take away from the good good good yummy Yum Yum pizza!!! I will buy from here again!!! I'm in love with the flavor!!!

IF YOU WANT TO WAIT OVER AN HOUR AND BE HUNG UP ON, THEN THIS IS THE PLACE TO ORDER FROM!!! It's not like I ordered at lunch hour, I called at 2:24. It's not rocket science, it's pizza. When I called to cancel the order, I was hung up on. Worst pizza service ever!

This place is legit. Their pizza selection is vast and unique. The Italian grinder pizza, cheeseburger pizza and meatball parm are great. Delivery is also quick and as an added bonus they have a few hot delivery girls. The sandwiches blow though, stay away.

Well, the pizza was so delicious, we just had to try it again. We asked for garlic again, and suggested they not charge us, and I don't think they did. The box even said "garlic" on it (again). But, still there was no garlic. When I think garlic as a pizza ingredient, I expect fresh chopped or at least the jarred stuff. But not only could we not see it, we couldn't taste it or smell it. I wonder if they just sprinkle garlic powder on and call it an ingredient. So, this was a disappointment, of course, but the pizza is SO good. So, we tried it a third time. We got a large cheese and a small bakery style pizza. It took an hour to get to us (we were told 40-45 minutes). Not only was it not too hot, the bakery style pizza was burnt!!! I've never felt this way about a restaurant before, nor have I ever done a Yelp review. The pizza is just incredible, but man, burnt pizza? Masochist much?

worst customer service ever!!! They delivered me my pizza late and it was not what I ordered, they refused to fix their error and were rude to me and my company, I will NEVER give them my business again, the owner, he was the rudest of all of them, and I was thinking he would remedy the situation! There are so many other places to order pizza from I do not need to give this sh!t hole my business

Not your ordinary pizza place! Great customer service and a huge selection of gourmet pizza. They don't skip on toppings and everything is fresh and delicious! I love their bakery style pizza with the grated cheese but they also serve Traditional and Chicago Deep Dish style too. Prices are reasonable and again service is great! They made a mistake on one of my order and was quick to make amends. Delivery was also very fast - but uh I also live fairly close too. Check out their website for their full menu.

Best pizza in all of providence....so far. it would be nice if they sauteed the mushrooms. Sauteed mushrooms on a pizza are pretty tough to beat. Still, this pizza ia incredible and the service was super fast-got my pizza within 15 minutes, and staff is extra friendly on the phone and in person. The crust is amazing. it is thin, yet has just a smidge of rise to it to keep it from being hard and crunchy. it is the perfect consistency for a thin crust-moist and springy, not soggy and sloppy. You can load this crust up with tons of toppings, and it will not turn floppy on you! It isn't actually flavored-tastes like olive oil, yeast, salt and flour-but it is light and airy, and has a sort of sweet fresh taste to it. The deep dish crust is delicious! It tastes like a bread bowl, and it is essentially a thin crust, but the edge crust is thick and chewy. It is perfect. When I first got my pizza, I thought it was burned because the deep dish crust was brown-but when I took a bite, it was super soft and cooked just right, and the dough in the center of the pizza was fully cooked-so don't let the brown color scare you-it sure doesn't taste burned! The sauce is evenly spread all over the yummy crust.just enough sauce to add flavor-you can taste all the delicious italian seasoning in every single bite. It is a slightly thick and sweet, savory, herbed sauce and you can really taste the garlic, oregano, and basil. The flavor perfectly balances the crust. The cheese is sprinkled on with a heavy hand, all the way to the very very edge of the crust. They serve the pizza in 2 ways:bakery style, where there is no cheese aside from a sprinkle of parmesean...and regular, which involves lots of mozzerella. So, depending on your cheese craving, you can adjust the order, which is awesome. Also, this is good quality cheese...it just tastes so fresh, and it melts well. It is not buffallo mozzerella, or anything gormet...but it is definately a good quality shredded mozzerella. The pepperoni is very thinly sliced, but heavily spiced and seasoned and it has a nice kick of heat to it. It crisps up well. My pepperoni was scattered thoroughly over my entire pizza and each slice had at least 4 pepperoni on it-which is alot. I had a taste of pepperoni in every flavorful bite. You definately get your moneys worth. The building isn't fancy, and there are no ad's all over television...but all of those savings are put into the food being served. This is PIZZA, the way it should be. Delicious! A large is $16 but you can get carryout 1 topping large for $10 and they have lots of coupons and daily specials. They have free delivery, and over 62 gourmet specialty pizzas, plus they have deep dish! ONE COMPLAINT, sort of... The calzone...they have gigantic calzones-17"! My hubby loved them, however, I think a calzone should have ricotta cheese and mozzerella. They only use mozzerella unless the calzone specifically calls for ricotta cheese. So, instead of opening a spinach calzone mixed with ricotta and melty mozzerella, you get a spinach calzone with buttery spinach mixed with mozerella cheese. Apparently this is normal in rhode island......but I'm not from rhode island and I just found it strange. So, if you also expect ricotta in your calzone, avoid these calzones. They are still tasty, and they are pretty cheap-about 3-4 bucks...but I can't eat a calzone without my ricotta cheese so I have to pass. Also, the buffallo philly cheese steak with bleu cheese........yummmmmmmm.......!

The TCP in effect yo! This is the greatest place for quick, good, inexpensive pizza any side of 146 in providence North End/North providence. PB&J pizza is the greatest invention since cardboard pizza boxes. Their fat big and good calzones are never skimpy or whimpy. They just know how to make pizza! 4 stars!!!!! I travel to TCP from N. Attleboro just to have their pizza. I miss having them around!!!

Peanut Butter & Jelly Pizza is all I have to say. AWESOME. Their breadsticks are fantastic too. Their Alfredo pizza is not so great but their cheese pizza is not bad. Definitely check out the PB&J pizza and breadsticks if you can though! Oh and they deliver, so extra star for that!

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Really good bakery style sauce pizza. The sauce was rich in flavor and robust. With it being eaten warm it really brought out the flavor and the Parmesan that was placed on top. It comes in small squares and slices like regular pizza. Definitely a must to try.

The best hands down.....never unsatisfied pizza is the best like i said pretty much everything is good

I love that the staff is always super friendly and recognizes the locals. They have such a variety of pizza and calzones to choose from. I love the chicken bacon ranch pizza!

My wife and I really enjoy the pizza here. The sauce and dough seems to be fresh. We only live a few miles away and delivery was a little slow.

The Taco Supreme pizza is damn good. Had it here in about 30min, can't complain about that. Yummy.
(5)Jennifer D.

Best bakery pizza I ever had, all the pizza is fantastic. My girlfriend orders from here all the time. The whole family loves it. I highly recommend it!

Solid! I was lucky to live in the bright red house next to this place. If by lucky you mean i gained 20 lbs, but whatever. The Taco Pizza is amazing The BLT Pizza is amazing The Cheeseburger Pizza is amazing The PB & J Pizza is amazing. Never disappointed, good crust, fast service and delish!

(5)Diane Y.
(1)Mark S.
This place is legit. Their pizza selection is vast and unique. The Italian grinder pizza, cheeseburger pizza and meatball parm are great. Delivery is also quick and as an added bonus they have a few hot delivery girls. The sandwiches blow though, stay away.

Had the Italian pizza with extra cheese. I liked it a lot and was pleased that it arrived sooner than the estimated time. Definitely a must in my opinion. :)

(1)Moni C.
