Ocean State Sandwich Company in a welcomed edition to downtown Providence! This place is bright, clean, and the staff is always friendly. The food is all sourced from local establishments and their menu is extensive. The Thanksgiving 365 is a must. Although the sandwiches are great, the soups are even better. I have tried many different kinds, and each one has a distinct taste that is memorable (especially the carrot ginger, RI clam chowder, and chilled watermelon mint). If you are in downtown, I highly recommend stopping in Ocean State Sandwich. The only thing that is a downfall, is that they are closed on the weekends.

Downcity desparately needed a sandwich shop, and I"m glad Ocean State has answered the call. I went there twice this week and think I will become a regular. The place is small but exceptionally clean. Great classic sandwiches, and everything is super fresh. I love that so many ingredients are local, such as Richard Alan coffee, Narrangansett Creamery cheese, Daniele salami, and Yacht Club soda. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and patient. Service is fast. You can also call ahead or order online. Highly recommend!

This place has gluten free bread which is the easiest and best thing a restaurant can do to gain loyal customers right now and everything is SOOOOO good. Just wish they had eve/wknd hours

What is up with the lack of good sandwich places downcity? I was desperately missing Amenities and was excited to see a new sandwich shop had spring up in the same location. They have done some really nice renovations here since it was Amenities. It was clean and bright and all the employees were very friendly. I got the BBQ chicken sandwich - the obvious, bbq chicken, cheddar, tomato and bacon on a kaiser roll. It was messy and delicious. I got chips and a drink and the total was around $12.00 which is a little pricey. I would skip on the sides as the sandwich itself was reasonably priced at $7.50. Head next door and grab a drink some CVS and save yourself a few bucks. The chips really were unnecessary because the sandwich was more than enough. Will be heading back here for sure. I can't wait to try the thanksgiving sandwich.

The sandwiches and prices are ok, but I always walk away hungry. I just ordered the Thai chicken sandwich and it was embarrassingly small. Quarter of a chicken breast on a dinner sized roll with one tomato slice and one lettuce sheet. It was tasty, just half the size I was expecting. I've been many times and always thought the portions were small, but this last experience motivated me to comment.

I love this place. They have great congruent branding and inventive sandwiches along with many classics. They're in a decent downtown location too :)

Their daily soups are always fantastic, and today was no exception. Had the chilled watermelon and mint soup, and it was deliciously perfect for a hot day. Best and most creative sandwich shop in downtown Providence :)

awesome. downtown is a tough area, and alot of people who work here go out to eat and get bored with the same choices. ocean state just opened the past couple weeks (in place of the old amenities) and im so glad they did! the inside is awesome. beachy feeling. very clean and bright, lots of seating. the menu is awesome. common sandwiches but with a little kick to make them *special* the owner and staff are VERY polite and friendly, and they have a frequnt sandwich club card, but 10 get one free. always a bonus when you are consistently buying lunch somewhere. sides arent included with the price of your sandwich, but, im usually comfortably full off my order. great job, hope this place does well. YUMMY

This place is everything. There aren't enough words that can describe how epic this sandwich shop is! Eric and his team are experts in customer service and some of the best in the biz. The second you walk in, you are met with smiling faces eager to help you and you can't help but become a regular with such hospitable staff. If you are in need of a sandwich that is super fresh, utilizes locally sourced ingredients, and is just downright DELICIOUS, definitely stop here and check it out! You will not be disappointed!

Awesome. Sets the new standard for sandwich joints in downtown Providence. Great variety, great fresh quality ingredients, good prompt service, and they take all credit cards.
