I haven't had a bad meal here. All the food here seems to be mostly fresh and highly syrupy sweet! But overall, it's been good. The one thing I have a problem with here are the wait times. It's almost always crowded during brunch hours. It's better served for getting in and out later during the day when crowds are gone.

I love this IHOP. Not only can I walk there for Crepes on Bastille Day, but they have a really great diverse menu. Granted, this is a chain, it is probably 88% frozen, but for the price, who cares? I've been there mornings, afternoons, evenings, and late night. Every time the service has been great and the food just what the doctor ordered. It's diner food, kids, not 4 star cuisine. It's relatively new, and they've already done renovations on the inside. The store is always clean. ALWAYS clean, and yes, it does totally jam at 2am, but it's worth it. I know we all miss Bickford's, but this is the next best thing.

This is the worst IHOP I have ever been to. Not because of the food but because of the service. I frequently order something from here for lunch because it is right down the street from my job. There is no communication between the people taking the orders and the people making your food. On one occasion I had the same order replaced three times simply because I didn't want sausage. I mean really? Get it together. I have to consistently check my food before I take it back to the office because more often than not it is wrong. It isn't THAT big of a deal but it is an annoyance that they can't get things right.

IHOP has remodeled this location making the breakfast sit down bar right when you walk in. Superb idea and the help is super friendly. Nice service and decent prices. IHOP does well with their breakfast and pancakes and should eliminate everything else because they fall short on other entrees. Restrooms are clean and attended to frequently for inspection. I would like to say however, I am a coffee lover and very few places do well with coffee other than Starbucks or Brewed Awakening, this place like most has fair coffee. I like a nice strong coffee and the coffee here is like tea. Restaurants should have an espresso maker handy for folks like myself who like real coffee instead of pretend coffee. I would have given a 5 Star if the coffee was good. Sorry.

Despite its categorization as a "chain" restaurant, in my opinion, this IHOP truly has delicious pancakes. I often find myself avoiding the pancakes at other restaurants because they just do them so well at this place! Though they serve lunch and dinner, I have only ever ordered breakfast foods here. Breakfast being my favorite meal to indulge on, there are plenty of options that are served all day! I usually go for the Breakfast Sampler as it allows me to have a little bit of everything (just as the name would suggest). The pancakes are always fluffy and cooked to the perfect golden brown, plenty of butter to soak into the layers. The French Toast is cooked to a similar standard... bacon crisp, eggs tasty, etc. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. On my most recent visit, my breakfast mate brought me a birthday card. Just as we sat down, our waiter asked if it was someone's birthday. I mentioned that it had been mine weeks before and that we had only now gotten to get together. Having forgotten about the conversation by the end of the meal, I was more than surprised when the whole team of waiters and waitresses came over clapping and singing to deliver a dish of ice cream to the table for the occasion. It was a nice, unexpected touch to the end of the meal. Embarrassing... but nice. Unfortunately, this location gets extremely busy on the weekend. I try to hit it up on weekdays off so that I can enjoy walking in and having a shortened wait (or no wait at all!).

Don't do it to yourself after club hours. Service is freaking awful!!!! I mean the worst ever. Maybe they don't like club go-ers, but man waiting 20 plus minutes just for someone to acknowledge the fact that we were sitting there?!? That's just unacceptable, the place wasn't even full. I don't like chain restaurants as it is. Next time I will not be talked into going here! Our waiter seemed to not care at all & we waited like 5 minutes for a freaking to-go box.

Work meeting. 5am. Try finding another pancake joint open nearby in that ungodly hour. Note: I didn't see anyone that belongs on Faces of Meth on my most recent visit. If I did, I may have added a star for appropriate ambiance. This IHOP is almost too clean and cheery for 5am.

It's an IHOP... they sell pancakes and omelletes and stuff. You get it. However, this is the FREAKIN' PLACE TO BE on a Saturday night! Holy hell, I've seen drug fueled dance parties with less energy and people in attendance. What a zoo.

I usually shy away from reviewing chains because if you don't know what to expect from them then you've lived under a rock your whole life. This is your standard IHOP with the same tasting food at any other establishment. The service is always pretty cheery. However I have only been during the wee hours in the morning. Let me tell you, there are police guarding the door for a reason. This is probably the sketchiest place to be and I always try to steer clear whenever possible. Unfortunately there is nothing that can overcome drunk logic of thinking "this seems like a nice spot to grab late night food."

I'll admit it, I really like the pancakes and crepes at IHOP. Especially around 2 AM after some drinks. Nonetheless, I had a pancake hankering last night so my husband and I went around 9:30 PM. This location has been remodeled and is pretty nice. Our waiter was cool, but he messed up my order and by the time my new order arrived my husband was already finished with his meal. However, the waiter and a waitress were both very apologetic about it, and took it off the bill. And it was still delicious (I ended up getting crepes) so it's all good.

"Since when are pancakes a side?"-My friend I think that is the best way to describe our IHOP experience. The food was good to satisfy our late night food craving. I went with your traditional breakfast fair and for some reason pancakes were a side (like toast would be) which I didn't complain about. The restaurant is new so its nice inside and the wait staff was attentive. So if you need a late night breakfast fix you cant go wrong with IHOP at 2am.

I came in very early on a Saturday morning after a long night with friends and they had not only a security guard at the front, but two police officers. I thought maybe they were there for someone, but they stayed at the front for the entire forty-five minutes we were there. Really, IHOP? No one wants to feel like they're going to get arrested for eating a giant stack of blueberry pancakes. My recommendation would be to have the cops park outside and stay out there. I understand that early-morning dining can come with some interesting characters, but we all just want to enjoy our meals in peace. Better staffing and policies around loitering would probably help with the whole idea of keeping everyone peaceful when they really just want to eat something and then go to bed. Additionally, IHOP doesn't serve herbal tea, so when we asked for hot water, the server nearly burned herself bringing it to us in regular glasses instead of mugs. Although this may seem a bit silly to others, and our server apologized once she realized she could have spared herself the trouble by putting hot water in a less conductive material, the moral of the story is that IHOP might want to offer some tea selections and give out a little more labor so that servers have time for forethought.

Being back in New England, which is a haven for great local eateries, I have been avoiding as many chain establishment as I can. But as this is a work-related gathering, I thought this IHOP is worth a review. I have had many bad experiences with IHOPs in the past, but the one here in providence was amazingly clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was as expected, but I noted that the presentation was far cleaner than any other IHOP I've been to. The wait was a little long, though we did have a large table of ten. Overall, if you are in the mood for IHOP, this IHOP stands out above its other locations.

Went here this morning becuase I was really craving pigs in a blanket. The serivce and food were outstanding this time hence the 5 stars. We arrived and the hostess sat us in a booth, star number 1. The hostess asked us if we had been here before and opened the menu and pointed out the new features for us, star number 2. Our server made great coffee milk star number 3. Our food was prompt and cooked to perfection star number 4. The place is clean and everyone is nice, star number 5. Best chain breakfast place in Providence.

Went in for breakfast with some coworkers. I hadn't been in an IHOP in years, but this is where the group decided to go. We were immediately greeted and seated at a clean table. Our server was there right away with menus and ready to take drink orders. She was super pleasant and patient while we all tried to order at once (our bad). When she returned with our beverages, and correctly served those, we were ready to order. Even with no two orders alike, our more than adequate server was able to handle the task of conveying each order, with the specifics without error. Our food arrived promptly and just as ordered. Surprisingly, it all looked just as pictured on the menu. Eggs were cooked properly, pancakes fluffy and topped with ample fruits and cream. I'm not big on sweet stuff for breakfast, so I opted for an omelet. It was full of fixings, in this case bacon and cheese and topped with some diced tomato. It was better than I had expected for a chain restaurant. My fellow diners were all satisfied with their french toast, banana pancakes, sandwiches and wraps. There wasn't a complaint at the table. Overall it was a good dining experience and fairly cheap, too. I'm sure the late night crowd is sketchy, especially after crawling the Atwells area clubs, but for a decent anytime breakfast, this IHOP is OK in my book.

I love the food here, great breakfast spot and lots of options on the menu. But the service is S-L-O-W. I would expect it to take a little longer 10am on a Sunday but even if you go at 3am on a Wednesday and you have the place to yourself, expect a long wait for your food. I don't know if they're farming the pigs and chickens for my eggs and bacon in the kitchen or what, but whatever process they have is inefficient.

My all time favorite Go-To, forever! Chains usually offer consistency in recipes and flavors so that allows for no surprises and not too many disappointments (basically you know what you're getting yourself into). Whether I'm in Boston, Brooklyn or Babylon (long Island), I can always count on my whole wheat & blueberry pancakes, nyum nyumnyum!!! I find lately that IHOPs have been on the up and up in the cleanliness department. I know I'm not alone in my joy over the International Pancake house, so while everyone is sleeping away their hangovers till noon, I'm walking right to my table by 930 am--the latest if I don't want to wait the usual two hours...yay pancakes!

Stopped at this IHOP after an event-filled night in providence.. we were just looking for a bathroom and then once we were there decided to eat.. typical IHOP fare but our waiter was fantastic and kept calling me sweetheart.. I love people like that. Would definitely come back for a late night bite.

I love making positive updates. We hadn't been to IHOP since my last review, but a friend of mine had sent us a gift card and today seemed like a pancake sort of day. The hostess was much cheerier than the last time we'd seen her, including a smile, a welcome back, and making small talk while I waited for my husband and daughter to come in. I especially appreciated her asking whether or not I'd like crayons; a lot of places just assume I won't need them and I end up having to ask for them. The food is still IHOP fare and is always a hair slow coming out, but it was definitely what we were in the mood for. The best part of our visit had to be our waitress, Veronica. She was super friendly and seemed like she genuinely enjoyed her job. I can't say enough good things about her and her fantastic demeanor. If anyone from management reads this, she absolutely deserves a raise.

This IHOP is always clean and has friendly staff. Whenever you go, breakfast, lunch, 2 am after the clubs close, you will get the same great experience. I always enjoy a trip to the ihop with my friends. The only negative is that there is always some type of wait when I do go to this location. Other than that, it always is good!

My family went here one day when they had just opened up. I'm not sure if the service and food wasn't good because of the lack of experience of the workers. But we were very disappointed. i have been to many IHOPs and this one was the worse by far. We called the manager over and complained about our food being undercooked and also cold. The server wasn't professional or pleasant and didn't deserve the tip that we left. Hope they improved.

Lots of pancakes I love IHOP pancakes and the pancakes here are very similar to the ones I have eaten at many other IHOP's. In fact one of the great things about IHOP is the consistency. One batch of blueberry pancakes in one place will be pretty much like the ones in any other IHOP. This particular IHOP is relatively new and is quite large and spacious inside so you have room to spread out. It even has a little counter area with a television, a nice touch since the restaurant is open 24 hours a day. The waitress we had was very professional and polite and made sure our orders were correct. The one negative is that this restaurant tends to be very crowded. Maybe not a during the middle of the night, but a wait was necessary all the times we have visited. Sometimes a short wait sometimes not so short. But I guess I really can't blame a restaurant for being popular.

I like breakfast food, I like places that are open 24-7, I like this IHOP.The thing that is currently setting IHOP apart from Denny's for me right now is that they have "simple and fit" options on their menu with the calorie count listed right on it. I really appreciate that as a person that is trying to make healthier choices. My friend and I went at like 6 on a Sunday and there was hardly anyone there. We were sat right away and ordered our food soon after. The wait for the food seemed really long considering if was mainly breakfast food and there was only about two other tables full in the restaurant. I had whole grain pancakes that were baked with blueberries and nuts in them. It came with egg substitute and was topped with bananas. The meal was hearty and after I was full and not guilty feeling full(even though I did put a ton of syrup on it, come on you have to right??) The prices were reasonable and the service was fair I would go back again. It is a chain so you get what you expect. Of course the mom and pop diners do it better, but at least here you have some healthy options and you can go there anytime of day and get pretty consistent food.

I am willing to accept a certain amount of annoyance at a restaurant if it can deliver good food, okay wait staff, late hours, convenience and a relatively clean establishment. IHOP in Providence only delivers on late night hours. Every time I've been in the Providence IHOP it has taken too long to sit down, AND THIS IS WITH NO LINE. The last time we were there we waited ten minutes and we were so fed up we left without calling anyone (which is almost impossible to get anyone's attention with the hostess counter blocking the view of the dining room.) When we have eaten there the food was not horrible but not great either, they've gotten our order wrong and the waitress didn't re-visit our table and we started to get upset that we couldn't wave her down. It was one of the few times that I did not leave a tip. Between our drink order and our food order we waited 15 minutes. The dining room wasn't busy and granted it was late night but still, come on! The IHOP in Newport is much much better. The waitresses are seasoned, the food is good diner fare that is to be expected, the servings are about medium sized, and they get you a table as soon as possible. Maybe that's why they have bigger lines on the weekends. The Providence IHOP is newer than the Newport IHOP. You'd think it would be cleaner. It isn't. It seems that the staff is lazy and disappears whenever an opportune moment comes. We never saw a manager. It is close to the Providence Place Mall but the aggravation is not worth the visit. We went to the Burger King that's in the same parking lot and were served in 5 minutes. It's sad that a fast food joint is more professional than a restaurant. Maybe coming here late night is the problem. But I'd never come here during the day with the offerings that Providence has during regular hours. Not worth going to even if it is one of the very few 24 hour joints in Rhode Island.

I went to this IHOP location on Friday with my sister as a bonding day out, and unfortunately it put a bit of a damper on our day. We waited by the door for about 15 minutes until a server finally came out from the back to seat us. The server was nice enough, but my turkey club sat in the back with no meat until the rest of our order was completed, then the server came back and apologized for not saying so sooner. I had to order another item and wait for it to be cooked while my sister ate. I've been to this location a handful of other times and it had always been decent. I will say, breakfast and late night is far better service than the dinner hour I went.

The service here is HORRIBLE!! Do not get Deborah she is a horrible waitress. You are better of going to another restaurant within the area. I would rather go to the Burger King across the street. Seriously was in shock when our table was completely ignored for more than an hour without any service whatsoever. another waitress had to complete our order

I haven't been back to this place since I went with my good friend for breakfast. Our male server took our order for pancakes and french toast (it was maybe 11am on a week day) and we figured we'd get it pretty fast since it was dead. Not to mention we were both extremely hungry and trying our best to make do with the shitty coffee for what we figured would be maybe 10-15 mins max. 45 minutes later we still have no food and cannot find our server anywhere! I finally flag a waitress down and begin to explain that we hadn't received any food in almost an HOUR. This waitress proceeded not only to talk to me like a piece of shit, but actually began talking very loudly and rudely over me saying "he's on break, he's on break," without even listening to me and tried to give us THE CHECK! I finally had to say very rudely and loudly that we hadn't even gotten the food yet. She finally listened, although she still did not drop the attitude, and went and got our, now very cold, food. IHOP food is crappy enough, now I'm eating reheated pancakes. Our waiter finally came back after we got our shitty food but did not apologize, nor did the other waitress. We did not leave a single penny for a tip. Most people have waited tables at some point in their lives and I am no exception, so I try to be very accomodating and understanding an leave at least 25-30% tip. This was and still is the only place I didn't leave a tip. I also have not returned since. If its breakfast time, you're much better off going to Louis on the east side. And the one star is ONLY because I have to put at least one or I cannot post.

3 stars is still above average. Prior to IHOP I was always going to Denny's but haven't been there since. The restaurant looks to be kept fairly clean, the employees are always moving and the food ordered has always been accurate. For those who have a 3 a.m. craving for a pile of pancakes or some chicken fingers, it's a plus that they are open 24 hours.

The wait was a little long, though we did have a large table of ten. Overall, if you are in the mood for IHOP, this IHOP stands out above its other locations.

Always consistently decent food at a low price. Great for kids! Pancakes are top notch with lots of variety. I've always found the place clean, & wait service is polite& friendly. They have call ahead seating, which I'd recommend on Sunday mornings.

All I'm saying is they use their fingers to test the temperature of the food, and then put it in the microwave.

(4)Amanda P.

(1)Robin B.
Hands down, the best iHop! The food was presented well, more importantly it was great.
(4)Alma C.
(3)Matthew D.
It's an IHOP... they sell pancakes and omelletes and stuff. You get it. However, this is the FREAKIN' PLACE TO BE on a Saturday night! Holy hell, I've seen drug fueled dance parties with less energy and people in attendance. What a zoo.
(5)Philip C.
(2)Matt L.
This IHOP is dope. Would recommend anything other than the steak.
(4)Sarah C.
(4)Mandy D.
The food might be sub-par, but the service here is always cheery and attentive which keeps me coming back. Prices are excellent for what you're getting, and they're always adding new things onto the menu. Just try to avoid this place between the hours of 2am and 5am. It gets rowdy.
(3)Keith M.

(3)James B.
I love this place!! Got seated fast and placed order quicker due to my hunger issues lol! Had the breakfast sampler and it was delicious! Had a great waiter he was really busy but found time to continue to provide good customer service and eye contact!! The place was slamming for some reason!! Mane because of the good food and friendly atmosphere!!!it took longer to get the check than get my food lol! Not too long.

Just ok. Food is average. Location is average. Service is slightly above average. Just not a fan of the underwhelming experience. Sadly I put this on the same plain as Waffle House.

i tried other things than pancakes. It was a mistake. I can't lie their pancakes are damn good. The atmosphere at night is dangerous, as it's a breeding ground for hungry drunks at night.

Always consistently decent food at a low price. Great for kids! Pancakes are top notch with lots of variety. I've always found the place clean, & wait service is polite& friendly. They have call ahead seating, which I'd recommend on Sunday mornings.

(2)Hess J.

(1)W S.
All I'm saying is they use their fingers to test the temperature of the food, and then put it in the microwave.
(1)Jeff J.
(3)Nicole B.
up one star for great waitress on this visit.
(3)Michael Y.
A very nice place to go eat at night with friends. Love their pancake and the services.
(4)Amanda P.
(2)Michael Y.
A very nice place to go eat at night with friends. Love their pancake and the services.

(4)Mandy D.
The food might be sub-par, but the service here is always cheery and attentive which keeps me coming back. Prices are excellent for what you're getting, and they're always adding new things onto the menu. Just try to avoid this place between the hours of 2am and 5am. It gets rowdy.
(3)Keith M.
Great food and good service check out my full review restaurantri.com/2015/03…

This IHOP is dope. Would recommend anything other than the steak.
(4)Scott C.
(3)A. F.
(4)James B.

(2)David S.
Just ok. Food is average. Location is average. Service is slightly above average. Just not a fan of the underwhelming experience. Sadly I put this on the same plain as Waffle House.
(2)Stephen D.
Sorry.

(2)Ashley P.
(4)Pam R.
(1)Robin B.
Hands down, the best iHop! The food was presented well, more importantly it was great.
(4)Alma C.
(3)Matthew D.
It's an IHOP... they sell pancakes and omelletes and stuff. You get it. However, this is the FREAKIN' PLACE TO BE on a Saturday night! Holy hell, I've seen drug fueled dance parties with less energy and people in attendance. What a zoo.
(5)Ang C.
(4)Mike M.
i tried other things than pancakes. It was a mistake. I can't lie their pancakes are damn good. The atmosphere at night is dangerous, as it's a breeding ground for hungry drunks at night.
(2)Mark A.
(4)David F.

Best breakfast in Providence, RI! This is a very contemporary facility, service is always top notch, I love the bar seating, fresh food is always served fast
(5)Briana G.
(3)Kay H.

(3)Mark K.
(4)Kat R.
(2)Stephanie K.
Its IHOP, a chain. Very standard food and service. The Providence location surprising enough was the best so far. Very clean and enough staff and prompt.
(3)Age S.
I can forgive inexperience but I cannot overlook rudeness. I have gone at least four times and I had three different rude servers. I will never go back.
(1)Brian S.
But I guess I really can't blame a restaurant for being popular.

the service need to improve, food can improve went there several occasions never the same, food and or service need a supervisor to keep the brand equal
