Good, somewhat divey breakfast place in a neighborhood that is lacking in breakfast places. It can't compare to the places on the West End, but the service was very friendly and the food was decent. I will definitely go back. Note that it is Cash Only.

It's a dive but the food is good! Great staff (Cash only) and a great little place to hang out.

Your basic breakfast foods, served fast. New menu includes nutella french toast and coconut pancakes. The people that own it are sweethearts and make you feel right at home. I go here at least once a week.

I stopped at lunch. The diner is smaller than I imagined. I found a spot at the bar most of the tables were full. The bar was busy as well only about 8 stools long. Only two ladies were working and one was doing the cooking. Service was slow. The kitchen was pieced together with mismatch outdated appliances. The walls were littered in a misc. of pictures and even sports related materials. The old wall mounted box TV was playing a movie softly. The diner was very loud, I suspect the locals that had finished eating eons ago & were sipping on coffee were the guilty ones. The food came and it was typical diner food, bacon crispy, hash not so good, homefries were seasoned well but tasted warmed up, & coffee was brewed fresh. The prices were cheap and they give you plenty of food. I had 2 eggs, hash, homefries, bacon, sausage & coffee for a $11.

Top notch breakfast. I had the sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on Italian with hash browns. Coffee was hot and fresh, made just right. Delicious. Affordable. Top notch.

Cheap, greasy, slow, and mediocre food gets this place 2 stars. The thing about breakfast is that it's so easy to make it really should be at least the same quality you can make at home. A hungover, poor college kid is the only person who would enjoy this place. The homefries were raw in the middle but very burnt on the outside. I ordered an omelet with sausage and peppers. The peppers tasted like they were from lunch the day before. The banana Belgian waffle we ordered was like something from the frozen food section with sliced banana placed on top. Did I mention it took about 35 minutes to get all this in a place that seats 20? Never got refills on coffee either and we all know how we need our coffee to survive. Conclusion: There are some great breakfast places in Providence and this is not one of them. If you are looking for a cheap place and don't mind waiting a while for sub-par food than this place would be fine...but I know I won't be returning.

Very old school here. Service is always friendly and everything I have ordered has been good. It's no fancy pants breakfast place. It's better when it's not packed with college kids and there are just a few regulars. Otherwise you will be waiting a while for a table and it takes a longer to get your food.

Home style cooking. Especially great on Sunday mornings (I don't have to cook) I can read the paper over a hot cup of coffee and the kids can enjoy "Texas Toast" french toast. The price is right and the staff is personable and fun. It's like an "old school" diner. The food is as good (or better) than home and once you become a regular, it's like visiting family for Sunday brunch.

An awesome local breakfast hangout - greasy, tasty food, and good conversation! A must if you are in the PC area.

Cheap, greasy, old-school, delicious... all apply. Always a good choice after a long night across the street at Brad's. Interesting clientele ranging from blown-out PC kids on the weekend mornings to locals talking politics at lunchtime. No frills here and it definitely may look rough around the edges but it's worth a stop for sure... if you're at PC, don't go through four years without trying it!

You will not find tastier or cheaper hangover brunch....at least not within walking distance of PC ;) Everything is delicious, if you are into that "heart attack on a plate" thing....and ya know what? Sometimes I am. So I love Admiral Spa for some great pancakes or homefries - although I will be honest, you might have to wait a bit for a table, and you will DEFINITELY be waiting for your food.

I have to agree with Bridget... you do have to sometimes wait for a table. That's the price you have to pay for being so close to P.C. However, that being said, if you go around 10:30 ish... you'll just beat all of the hungover college kids! The food is totally worth it. It's "wicked" cheap (literally nothing is over $6) and you get a lot of food. I love their eggs benedict. I'm also not a huge homefries person, but I do enjoy theirs. Expect to get water in huge, plastic cups... if you're hungover, you'll really appreciate it.
