Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

This pizzeria is a must try! The veggie calzone was cheesy and big enough to share (or not!) and the thin crust pizza was good too. Really fun atmosphere and a steady stream of happy customers = a great time.

Always comfortable if you visit. Food is always great and if you choose delivery its on time.

Great little local pizza shop. Don't live in the area, but have to to Pourtsmith for work a couple times a week and I always hit them up. Have only had the pizza so I can't speak at to the whole menu, but the pizza has always been great and perfectly cooked. Even good pizza places have their off days, but there hasn't been one here yet. Good value too. Even the inside has a nice decor to it, including one of those old time cash registers.

We were traveling from out of state and had read great reviews about The North End Pizzeria so we decided to give it a try. We ordered a large half cheese / half hamburger pizza and a small Veggie Supreme pizza. While all of the people in our group agreed that the pizza was quite tasty, they were the smallest pizzas I have ever received from a restaurant. The small was really more of a personal size pizza for one person and the large was barely the size of a medium. 8 pieces were in each pizza but the pieces were not very large and most of the people in our group were left hungry. We paid $25 for the two pizzas (which normally I wouldn't have thought much of) but when I saw the size of the pizzas we received for the price paid I was fairly appalled.

I have grown up on this pizza. Living in Portsmouth, there are about 15 pizza places to choose from. Sometimes you would like your friends better if they liked the same pizza place as you. For me, I judged my friends off of North End Pizza. I actually worked at a gym for 4 years, and would order from here once a week. They still have my address as the gym when I call in... no wonder why a lot of the gym members glared at me! The dough is delicious, crispy and thick. The sauce is tangy and dark.. but mixed with just enough cheese. My favorite is when its like, 2 minute too done and the crust and cheese have this special look- that means it will be extra delicious!! All other food (fries, garlic bread, chicken fingers) have been appetizing... but I definitely recommend their pizza over anything else. If you are looking for delivery, or are driving through town and want to stop for pizza on the North end of the island... I would definitely stop here!

I have been going to North end Pizza since before it was North End Pizza (Micheals pizza next to Cumby's). I use to ride my bicycle with my friends to get a pizza, so to say I was a fan would be an understatement. Now why I rated it a 2 star restaurant. I have noticed a slow decline in the quality of service, and food. The grinders use to be the best around, now the way that they build them are the worst I have seen. Topped off with big pile of lettuce, and almost too much meat. But that is not why I am writing this review today. I went to the restaurant tonight for a nice hot pizza and some wings. While I was waiting for my food I was subjected to the worst music possible. I am not a classic rock fan and to be honest I don't think they are in the majority, and certainly not at dinner. I really think that music for a restaurant should be mellow not blaring Led Zepplin. Onto the food, I chose NorthEnd because I wanted their wings with my pizza. I went to the restaurant because I wanted a nice hot pizza, delivery usually arrives warm but not hot, the is what I got a warm pizza, and pipping hot wings I think they forgot to cooked the wings so they let the pizza sit while they cooked the wings. I expect a pizza at the restaurant to be so hot that you have to use a knife and fork, not even close. If it was one time that I got a poor pizza or other item I would just let it pass after all everybody has a bad day. But I just get the feeling that the employees just don't have the same idea of quality as Scott. I have been trying out other places as of late and there are some really good options out there. I know that this review will have little affect on North End after all they are a Portsmouth staple, but I think that is why they think they can get away with a poor product now and then.

First time here, it was awesome! The cheesy garlic sticks were an excellent starter, but could honestly be 1 person's meal! I had a small cheese pizza, it was delicious. My table also had 2 other great pizzas. Highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I order from here regularly. They mail out coupons that you can use with your order, they also have printable ones of their website. Their pizza is delicious and they have great bacon cheese fries. Occasionally the fries are a bit short on cheese but still good. Delivery is always quick, often in less time than they projected. The drivers are courteous and friendly. The BBQ Chicken pizza is a must try if you like BBQ Chicken. I usually don't like chicken on my pizza but theirs changed my mind.

The best pizza on the island. Live in Middletown and go to Portsmouth for take out at North End. Tried all the pizza places and this is by far the BEST. My kids love love love it. You have to try it.

This cute little shop is located a few minutes away from where my boyfriend attends college. I remember we were looking for a place to get a quick decent pizza and we decided to give North End Pizzeria a try. Now almost 10 meals from here later we haven't gone anywhere else since. I've had several different kinds of pizza from here and it's quite good. Not out of this world pizza (if there is such a thing) but just a well executed pizza pie. I have also ordered their gold fever chicken tenders and they're lovely. They offer chicken wings and chicken tenders in flavors i've never even heard of before. They're very creative and i recommend checking it out ( buffa q, bbq teriyaki etc). I even have ordered their eggplant parm which is something that really hits the spot. The full meal is a MASSIVE portion it was overwhelming so I now order a side of eggplant parm over a kids linguini pasta. The eggplant wasn't fatty or greasy tasting which is something that I have issues with at other restaurants. These people are very friendly and cater to your needs. The environment is clean and pretty quirky, almost like an old timey embellished place. They're easy on me and my boyfriends pockets and deliver exactly what we were looking for in a pizza joint. I highly recommend giving these people your business i'm like 95% sure you will not be disappointed :)

Great great pizza. Always fun when our boss orders it at work. Yummy crunchy crust and ingredients always taste fresh. I like dining there as well because the byob makes it enjoyable and inexpensive.

My husband and I are visiting and ordered their steak tip salads along with the three cheese quesadilla. The quesadilla was all melted and clumped together and the salads came with what appeared to be one single steak tip cut into smaller prieces. The dressing came in packets which disney bother me as much but they only included plastic ware for one person. The prices were expensive for what we got in return and overall I'm wishing we ordered elsewhere.

Every Wednesday I look forward to having the North End pizza at lunch. Their pizza is not greasy and there is an equal distribution of sauce and cheese on one slice. Every time I have always been pleased. The food is good, the staff is friendly and the place is clean. Besides the pizza, they a variety of other foods too, subs/grinders, wings, fries, grilled chicken, and much more. I would recommend the North End to anyone who wants good pizza and it to be family friendly.

So when I was a wee high school kid, I used to work here. Any despite spending many, many hours working here, I continued to enjoy the food. And even now, many, many years later, I will always choose to order from North End when my family opts for takeout of some kind. I don't eat meat anymore, but when I did, I was all about their pastrami subs and their buffalo chicken pizzas. Seeing as I'm no longer down with those items, now when ordering, I stick to vegetarian fare like the spinach pizza, which is delicious. A lovely mixture of spinach and feta is spread onto the shell of the pizza before being covered by a blanket of mozzarella cheese. The regular sauce/cheese pizzas are quite good as well. So if, for whatever reason, you find yourself in Portsmouth searching for good takeout, look no further than North End. It's good stuff.

While I can't really tell you about everything they have here, I can tell you if I want a Buffalo Chicken pizza this is where I order it. It's the best around... so with that said, that is why I can't review any of the other items, I can't ever bring myself to order anything different. By the way, it's about a 15 minute ride to go pick it up.... but it's worth the trip that's for sure.

We always order pizza from here. My fiance and I will split a small pizza which works out well. The pizza is always tasty. I also like the chourico and chips. It is a lot of sandwich though, so come hungry. The service is pretty fast except on like Friday night, but that is to be expected. The atmosphere is very nice here, and if you want to eat out and not spend a fortune, but also want a place with an atmosphere then this is a great place. I would highly recommend this place. Price wise it is reasonable and you do get a lot of food.

Really cute place with nice people and quality food. Today was my first stop in even though I've eyed it a few times since moving into town. The interior is cute, they've tried to make it look like a pizza place in the North End of Boston. I got a chicken bacon ranch panini and it was SO good. The bacon was good, the bread was toasted just right. I don't think you could make a better one. I was also informed that they JUST took the garlic knots off the menu (DRATS!) but they had some garlic breadsticks. They were pretty good, but I'd really like to try those knots! I LOVE GARLIC KNOTS. Also, on my receipt, it said my servers name was "Grandma". CUTE. I used to order from Carmella's across the way, but I've had too many problems from their food lately, I think I'll be converting!

Atmosphere is lacking, service is good, but the pizza is awesome!! Highly recommended.
