It is a surprising place. It feels like a denny's when you walk in, but then the service and the food are much MUCH more. Good fresh food and interesting choices including stuffed french toast and many eggs benedict options. A little local spot that is sure not to disappoint.

I picked foodworks to cater two of the parties I had for work. In both cases, the food was excellent. Staff was extremely friendly and even packed my car for me. I will be back. Thanks again!

I'm always a fan of restaurants with the word "food" in their name. Food Works is a great diner and I went with a group of six on a busy Sunday morning, and we were all seated immediately, which was pretty impressive. They have the requisite diner breakfast items including eggs/omelets, pancakes, etc. and I decided to order the chocolate chip pancakes (a childhood favorite) which were great and there was just so much of it that I couldn't finish. Others I was with ordered omelets and they looked good too, although I recall someone saying that the "home fries" they serve with the omelets weren't that great. Everyone's favorite part of the meal was the option of being served a grilled English Muffin with their eggs instead of toast, and that did look good (although it might not suit vegetarians because I can only imagine that it's cooked on the same griddle as bacon since it had that greasy look). The atmosphere is convivial and kind of roadside establishment-ish, but overall very good.

Food Works is pretty fantastic. You're not going to find anything out of the ordinary here, but what they do have is staples done right. The service is friendly, the food is wicked affordable, and they'll give you a good plate of food. Try the cranberry pancakes. They're awesome.

Food Works is a family owned and operated breakfast and lunch establishment that has a very relaxed and laid back atmosphere. The ambiance is definately nothing special, but they make up for it in personable service and good food.

I went a few days ago with my mother & cousin. I hadn't been in years even though I live in Portsmouth. They serve breakfast till 2 pm. and we all decided to order one. Everything was perfectly cooked & warm. Eggs, home fries, bacon and toasted english muffins. The service was wonderful and fast. I had to ask myself what took me so long to go back.

Very cute diner. Friendly staff. We went for lunch. Breakfast looked fabulous that others ordered. We had the Reuben and California Chicken Wrap. Everything was great. Great prices too. I saw somebody get fish and chips and it was huge. We will go back for sure.

Found this place on Yelp as my girlfriend and I were staying in nearby Tiverton. She has dairy and gluten allergies and both were attentively taken care of by the staff. Amazing selection of Eggs Benedict options, I chose the California coming with avocado, bacon and tomato. Mostly excellent (would've liked the tomato to be warmed) and the home-fries were superb. Some of the best home fries I have ever had. My girlfriend has eggs, home-fries and fruit and was pleased with her order. Tea, juice as expected but a great low key, relaxed and enjoyable spot.

Pretty darn good breakfast spot ...we dropped in to get breakfast to go as we had an appointment in town. Super nice wait staff and really good food. I loved their home fries.

Loved it here! Had a delicious California Benedict with fresh avocado and bacon with a creamy hollandaise sauce and my dad had the Portuguese Benedict with chourico that he thoroughly enjoyed also. But the real kicker was on the way in they had a small but well stocked bakery case that I spotted fig bars in! I haven't had one in over 20 years, and it was everything I had remembered and more. I will go back for the breakfast and will have a problem not buying them out of every fig bar in the case!!!
