Went this morning not impressed. Sat down at the counter got a cup of coffee.the waitress, was . talking to another customer for 10 minutes and never asked what I wanted I had to tell her I was ready to order I ordered the homemade corned beef hash eggs and toast the meal did not come with home fries the corn beef hash was very blend was not impressed at all the waitress really needs to learn how to pay attention when there's more than two people in the restaurant.

I go here quite a bit, the food is GREAT. The service is also excellent and friendly. The only problem with this place is it's size relative to the volume of customers....it is very small. Sometimes the wait is a bit long and the line is out the door. I feel that if they expanded it and added 4 more tables this problem would be solved. The food is worth the wait for me however.

Pretty small yet good place. Service was excellent although it was a slow snowy morning. Food was good, nothing to brag about but good tasting. Limt on 1 coffee refill for 1.79 but waitress kept filling me up anyway without charge so that was good. Prices were reasonable but had to order homefries as a side with my omelet where most places it is included.

It's a nice place. It's very small. My Girlfriend and I spent about 10 minutes waiting to get a seat. We finally got one. I wasn't hungry. She ordered an omelet and really liked it. They do a good job. It's just small and can't accommodate the number of potential clients.

Solid food, friendly staff, lots of choices, reasonable prices. . . what's not to like? We've been three times in the space of a week and a day, the first time because they were the only breakfast place open nearby when one of the many snowstorms of this winter was roaring through. I've been driving past this place every day and always wondered what it was like inside. Given it's small-from-the -outside appearance, and given how the parking lot of the weekend always seems to be full, we were afraid that it would be chock full of regulars, and noobs like us would be made to feel unwelcome. Nothing could have been farther from the truth. . . well, there have been regulars every time we've been there, but we were made to feel welcome from the get go. We've only been for breakfast and haven't tried the lunch yet, but the breakfast offerings range from the standard two eggs and toast, to fancy-schmancy omelettes or pancakes, to some pretty neat specials. I've had the biscuits and sausage gravy (a special), eggs benedict over hash (special), and a standard two-eggs, home fries and sausage and bacon breakfast. All were yummy. My wife has tried the peanut butter pancakes, a mushroom and cheese omelette, and the same omelette made into a breakfast wrap. She liked all of her selections as well. We've gone early enough each of the times we've been so that there hasn't been a wait. I understand that there can be a wait later in the morning. Prices are a little less than the next closest breakfast place, and I think the serving sizes are similar, maybe a wee bit smaller, but I could stand to avoid the larger-than-needed serving sizes at some places anyway. I've been satisfied and not left hungry any of the times we've been. We're definitely keeping this place in our breakfast rotation.

Went to The Breakfast Nook this week after looking on Yelp for a breakfast place in this general area. Yelpers had noted some potentially attractive dining items like corned beef hash, hash browns & the like such that I took a chance. It was okay, not good enough to repeat (at least for me). I went largely for the corned beef hash, but it turned out it isn't home made - at least on this day, so I passed. Had a breakfast burrito which was alright, but not at all memorable. Also had hash browns as I'm a Midwest guy & hash browns are hard to find in the Northeast - fair, not home made. The staff was fine and the outside looks rustic, inside I thought a bit dour. So okay, not distinctive.

Great local breakfast spot. On weekends the line can be out the door. Staff are always kind and attentive and reasonable prices with fair quantity. The newly designed outside, looks a little off, but don't let that deter you.

We love this place! It has really good food, friendly staff and has that small family owned feel... which we love! We will def. be going back! We both had Omelets, hash-browns and coffee. I hope to go back soon!

My family has been going to The Breakfast Nook since we were little. It's part of a chain with Scramblers, but it is a Rhode Island chain--if you want to get a local experience. Definitely typical diner food. The egg of omelettes are thin and get absolutely STUFFED with fillings. Pancakes are huge and delicious and always have a bunch of butter slapped on top. If you're looking for local, and flavorful--come here. But do it early because the restaurant is small and there can be a wait!

This is one of those non corporate breafast/lunch diner type restaurants. I go here when I want to treat myself. The food is all star quality. The coffee is good. I LOVE Eggs Benedict. The Breakfast Nook makes THE BEST EGGS BENEDICT that I know of.

The food at the Nook is decent, nothing special. They have a big selection which is a plus. The first time I went, the service was okay. Slow, but not unbearable. This weekend I went and the place was not empty, but not packed by any means. Our waitress came by once, dropped off our food and then we could not get a hold of her after that. She was chattin' it up with her coworkers and could not be bothered with us. After sitting at an empty table (another waitress came by to bus our table) for 15 minutes, my boyfriend got up to find her and get the check. This Nook is not really worth the time you wait!
