Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Typical of Chinese Food Restaurants in the area. Certainly nothing very special. One thing I did enjoy about my garlic chicken order, was that it came with lots of different vegetables. Otherwise, this is pretty typical American Chinese fast food with poor service. I have only been here twice, and the second time was one of those experiences where I left the restaurant full of rage! The boyfriend and I called in a small order for pick up on a Sunday evening. The guy on the phone said they are busy, but it should be ready in about 20 minutes. We gave it 30 minutes then headed over to pick up our order. At the restaurant, we ended up having to wait another 30 minutes for our food! I do not mind if you are busy and my food will take a long time to come up, but just tell me that. Don't say "20 minutes" and then make me waste a good hour of my Sunday evening waiting for sub par Chinese food. I will not be going here again. Bamboo Chinese in Newport or Ching Tao in Middletown are your better options. Or if you are like me - just stick to Siam Square for Thai food in Middletown.

I go to many Chinese food places and have all over the eastern seaboard. I think I have been going to the Newport China Star for over fifteen years. I would not want to anywhere else. It is always been wonderful. I see some other reviews on yelp and I do not know what those people are thinking, but I never ever had a problem or been disappointed. I think it more likely their reviews have to do with their mood and not the fault of the restaurant.

I love these guys! Owen is one of the nicest restaurant owners on this Island. The food is always really good. The portions are generous. If you pick up, the place is always very clean and if you opt for delivery, it's probably the quickest in Newport. You cannot go wrong ordering from here.

This place SUCKS! If I could give it negative stars, I would. I called in an order for Mixed Vegetable with Tofu and a Ma Po Tofu. The Mixed Veggies and Tofu dish was disgusting. There was a random piece of egg white in it. Aside from the fact that I am vegan and completely grossed out by eating a piece of egg white, I am also completely disgusted by the implication of how that piece of egg white got into a vegetable dish!!! Could they have re-used a left over dish????? The thought just grossed me out. Oh, and the Ma Po Tofu?? Non-existent. They didn't even put in the order. This place is incredibly awful. Don't order from it.

I eat here on a weekly basis. They have always had good food and since I am Celiac they will make dishes any way I need them. Compared to other chinese foods around here it is a little better quality in my opinion.

Got takeout here last week. The headaches we had the next days suggest that they are pretty heavy users of MSG. I won't be back.
