This is more of a bar atmosphere. I've never dined in, but have gotten take out several times, including platters for holidays. Selections range from a few typical bar foods, to more traditional Portuguese cuisine. Prices are in the moderate range. Got take out tonight. Most people were highly satisfied with their meals. We got chicken fingers for the little one from the appetizer menu as there is no kids menu. Hubby got the Lombinhos Na Brasa (grilled pork loin); a little on the dry side tonight, but still had excellent flavor. I had the Carne Alentejana; was very greasy but still very good. The Shrimp Mozambique was on point, as was the Bife a Antonio. Heads up, this is a cash only facility. And I hear they have a pretty good karaoke setup if you like that sort of thing. I will continue to order here. Wouldn't consider dining in as it's not really family friendly. And if you need a Portuguese dish for a function, I would highly recommend the filetes Dourados...yummy!

My go-to takeout Portuguese. They're great! You have to call very early or the day before. Dishes are priced differently depending on the size of the tray. I believe there's 3 or 4 sizes/prices. Anyway, I always get my Porco Alentejana here for my parties at home. They make it very well. I also had Shrimp Mozambique and the Codfish dish before. Inside is not that impressive though. They have the bar area and high tables and chairs. And for some reason, the food they serve inside is not as good as the ones from takeout?! And never ever order the steak here. It's just meh. So just stick to takeout and you're good!

This is definitely a take out/catering kind of place. The bar area mostly consists of regulars, so it's not the most inviting place to sit and eat. Regardless, I will always be happy to order out from this place. The carne alentejana is great and just about any cod dish as well. The prices are super reasonable. My family has ordered large pans of food from here for years (possibly decades) for our functions and will continue to do so!

Best bar in all of Rhode Island!

Well... I ordered Cod Gomes sa because I was craving fish, but realized when I got home that they gave me Shrimp Mozambique.. can't complain though, it was very good. My husband's steak was tough and fatty, we ate at the bar a few years back and the steak plate was much better. We will definitely try it again though.

Ordered to go. Good food. I had Antonio's Steak. Comes with steak, eggs, french fries, rice and brown gravy. Hearty meal!

The Portuguese Bar/Rest where everybody knows your name. Best of all is drunken Karaoke night on Thursdays with Suzy B. My personal favorite is Nito, who screams his way hoarse through George Michael ballads and other romantic tunes. They have a couple of other good regulars like Derek and the huge fat guy with the high pitched voice. This place seems to be a good mix of men, women, couples and singles. Better than most places. I would hate to be a single female going to a bar. I didn't try the food, but it looked okay for bar chow.
