This is a quaint little breakfast spot that packs a lot of taste! The name is unique and representative of the various robust flavors on the french/home fries that are available. They have Keno and scratch tickets for those who are feeling lucky . First I'd like to acknowledge the waitresses on this past Tuesday were fun and worked as a great team to provide efficient service! We were sitting at a small table and the Server told us that we should move to a bigger table to fit all of our food.. She was right! We got the special on the back of the menu: -two eggs, 4 pieces of bacon, raisin toast, French toast -two eggs, 2 bacon/2 sausage, raisin toast, blueberry pancakes We love to share our food so it was more than plenty being able to eat the pancakes and some French toast ! Everything was perfect temperature. The homefries were a little light for my liking; the seasoning on them is on the salty side. The blueberry pancakes were amazing..I'm picky about my pancakes.. So take this as a serious compliment!

I've been going to Johnston for a few years now. I've gone by this place many times, but never been inside...Until today. They serve standard breakfast fare, bacon and eggs, waffles, omelets, pancakes, egg and cheese sandwiches, etc, as well as a few types of sandwiches for lunch. They claim to have several special rotating flavors of home fries in addition to the standard plain ones. When I was there, the featured flavor was "parmesan garlic". I ordered scrambled eggs, regular home fries, raisin toast, extra crispy bacon, and a glass of orange juice. While the food came out rather fast, the bacon was just the OPPOSITE of extra crispy (undercooked, rubbery). I sent it back, and before I knew it, the waitress brought it back to the table cooked perfectly. Prices were reasonable, and staff were friendly. Oh, and for you Lottery players, you can buy all Rhode Island State Lottery tickets (including instant scratch games) right on premises so you don't have to make an extra stop.

Stopped in for a late Sunday brunch with larger group of friends. I was disappointed to see that the kitchen closed at 1 on sunday, so we had to rush to put our orders in. There isn't much space for a large group to dine at this location, but the waitress did her best to fit us in comfortably in the middle of her rush. I was delighted to see that the menu was simple and economical. We were looking for a simple and less expensive brunch, we we landed in the right spot. I ordered Reeces Peanut butter cup pancakes. They were FABULOUS! Not too sweet, not too plain. Our server was very attentive and upbeat. She even tried to make conversation with us and bring on some laughs. Overall, I loved my experience here. I highly recommend this location for an easy weekend brunch as long as you wake up in time!

This was your everyday breakfast joint. Nothing fancy, pretentious, or overly priced here. I swung in one more for a quick breakfast before Town Faire Tire opened, as I needed something to sober me up from the stupefying reality of needing to buy 4 new tires, what better than breakfast? Coffee was pretty great, the waitress was a bucket of smiles, which always makes things better. I asked for the hash well-done -- and guess what? It was. Kudos. Ain't nothin' fancy, but ain't nothin' bad either.

I was going to give 3 stars, because to be honest, nothing really stood out... Mediocre service... Eggs were... Weird (you'll know if you get them)... Home fries were just ok... French toast, ok... And then I tried my sons pancakes... Delicious!!!!! So, you get an extra star for your delicious pancakes!!

I love this place. It's a cute little hole-in-the-wall diner with great food, service and atmosphere. The prices are great for the portion size-I always leave full! They also have different flavored home fries that they change regularly which is fun to try. I go here at least once a week!!

I have been going there for about 6 months. Good breakfast, 2 eggs, toast and homefries. Waitresses are excellent and always filling your coffee cup. The place is clean and ample sitting area.

Horrible service. Sat over 20 min w/o coffee refill. Home fries not completely cooked through! Must have been a super off day!

Homefries happened to be nearby after a friend and I met early in the day, left a car at Stop and Shop, went on an excursion and came back. On the way back, I said "are you up for brunch" and he said "ok". I yelped the closest breakfast joint, and Homefries happened to be it. Nothing memorable. A bit run down. Not fantastic service. Infact, no one even acknowledged our presence and we were getting ready to leave. Other diners seemed to be waiting for their food too, but a large table in the back seemed to be filled with friends of the owner or employees and they were having a grand time. They cover the basics - eggs, pancakes, bacon, etc. Not too expensive.

No thanks not again. Waitress couldn't get much closer when taking our order. Ever heard of personal space? Oh ya and I appreciated her rear end on top of the table as she walked away after placing our food down. Never asked if we needed refills on our drinks. Nope it's cheap but not worth going! Awful service mediocre food.

Tried to switch it up. Bad idea. The service was beyond slow and just not acceptable professionally. The food wasn't good either. Canned mushrooms is a big no no in my book. But, I guess you get what you pay for.

Waited 30 minutes at the table and ignored by servers. Waitresses were handling money and touching food on the plate. Table next to us we're complaining about poor food quality. Generally not a good experience.

I have eaten at Homefries, many times, with family and friends and have always been served promptly, courteously and the food was always very good.

First time going here today for breakfast and really wasn't that impressed. The food wasn't anything to rave bout. I got eggs Benedict with homemade hash instead of the traditional Canadian bacon. Was more like a sloppy paste with no resemblance to corn beef hash at all. Seemed to have a pretty decent crowd so obviously the food appeals to some though. Could chalk it up to just a bad experience I guess but don't think I'd be back. On a plus the waitress was very attentive and nice.

Homefries is a solid, no frills breakfast diner/restaurant. The service is friendly and the food is alright, nothing special. We tried the Eggs Benedict with hash and a ham & cheese omelet, both served with homefries. The Benedict was flavorful but the omelet was flat and lacked enough ham & cheese. The homefries were seasoned well but weren't crisp and were served cold.

The best breakfast around for the price! Portions are decent, servers are friendly, and the wait is never too long. Decor could use a little updating but nothing wrong with it for the quick Sunday morning breakfast. Definitely need to check it out!

This is my most frequented breakfast joint. Great no frills diner with friendly service and great prices. I highly recommend their mozzarella, tomato, and basil omlet when they have it on special!

Great Breakfast. I had a fabulous omelet and delicious sausages. YUM!
