So a friend asked me to go check out the band playing at Escada, since it is near my house, and her band plays there on occasion.. we we're doing a little scoping out of the competition.. shhh. The place is new looking, seems to be a mix of a sports bar/italian restaurant/ music venue...oh how I love a place that tries to be a little of everything. I will have to go back and try the food, but for now all I can say is it was a decent place to check out a cover band. Was fairly crowded with your usual 40 something Johnston/North Providence Crowd, with a few Jersey Shore types mixed in for good measure. The drinks we're moderately prices.. 4-5 bucks for a beer, and $6.50 for 1800 shots.. Wasn't super impressed with the bartenders.. spent alot of tim just sort of chatting with each other, or doing god knows what.. other than slanging drinks.. all in all.. it was a fun night. Will check out the food and update.

Escada is a bar that serves food rather than an actual restaurant. Their website with the menu and pictures is trying to be more but really they only have about five tables and bar full of locals. Entrees start with a soup or salad which is nice. However the veal parm was utterly average. The sauce was meh, the pasta overcooked. I was in the area for some one-time biz but if I was in the area regularly I would skip this place. There are far too many italian options in the Providence area to settle for this. Totally forgetable in regards to the food.

Ever since I owned a bar close to this one and heard very good reviews I had been looking forward to coming here. I have been three times now and the only reason I have returned after the first time was to meet friends there and go elsewhere. Everytime I go in the bartenders (owner included) look at me crazy when I want to order a drink like that isnt the sole purpose of me even being there and most times I come from work so clearly I dont look intoxicated. The drinks are over priced and not worth it. I have been a bartender for almost ten years so I tip well and dont care if I spend extra for a drink but I dread coming here for the simple fact that the service is awful. The last time I went in there what I assumed was a barback was standing behind the bar and the bartender was no where to be found I wanted a drink for last call but didnt want it to get late so I tried to get his attention he could clearly hear me and finally around the third time I said excuse me he turned and looked at me in disgust I ask if he could get the bartender and he said yeah ok very he was EXTREMELY rude. Needless to say the place disapoints me EVERYTIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We pass by this place regularly, and so we finally decided to give it a try. The food was surprisingly good. I had the chicken francaise and mashed potatoes. The chicken was very lemony and had a great taste. I kind of wish that the chicken had more texture to it.The mashed potatoes were very good. My boyfriend had the steak with the Gorgonzola sauce and mashed potatoes. He seemed happily satisfied. The reason that I am giving it 3 stars is because the food was good, but nothing out of this world and the ambience seemed a bit out of our norm. We will give it another try.

I am about five miles from here and finally decided to check it out. It's located in a small plaza that you would probably never expect a bar to be in. It's a cozy place. The bar is huge and spans most of the building. The bartenders all female when I was there were very sweet.. All of them were attentive and kept asking if we wanted more drinks. They have small local bands play a few nights a week and do not have a cover charge which is great. I always get annoyed paying a cover charge when I'm going to be spending a fortune on alcohol. Parking is free also. Speaking of alcohol the prices are reasonable and the pours generous. It's a great place to just hang out and relax and have a few cocktails. I will be back for dinner one of these days since they seem to have some good stuff.

What's your mood? What's your age? It doesn't really matter, no matter your mood/age this place has something for you. Want to have an intimate date? Drinks with friends while dancing to good music? What kind of music? Most everything depending on the day, acoustic, dj, bands...they book them all. The food is ALWAYS fantastic. Not an item on the menu I haven't tried. Chances are, if you can't stuff the huge portions in all at once that you'll be taking food home for leftovers. TV's playing sports, news & other channels at all times. Staff: Out of this world. Attentive, friendly and great senses of humor. This place has it all!!! What are you waiting for? Get off your computer, put the phone down and drive there!

Escada is a great place to get a drink or two after work. The bartenders are nice and know most of the customers by name. The food is really good to. I do a lot of takeout and it's never disappointed. They have all the NFL games and will put on any sport you would like to watch. HD TV's and lots of them.

By far one of the best places I have ever eaten at the staff is excellent including the servers bartenders in the chefs are very polite they came out and were very informative on the food that we were eating I am very pleased with my whole experience most definitely a place that anyone can enjoy my new number one spot GO Escada!

Gotta give it up to Escada, they have a good thing going. I picked up some Chicken Marsala to-go and it was enough for 2 portions..easily. We went back a few nights later for some drinks and had a great time. Good mix of locals, drinks were perfect, friendly bartenders, and the band was excellent! Reminds me a little bit like the old Stuffies in NP..with better layout and better food.

At escadas be prepared to be amazed I have probably tried everything on the menu. I have never been disappointed. Their calamari is award-winning and I think I know what I'm talking about. You have to try the chicken parm. The food comes out with a flair, something you might not expect. All of the bartendaz are knowledgeable, and the minute I come in, my drink of choice is in front of me, I never have to ask. Escadas has a daily menu board with specials. I recently tried the white pasta fagioli, I haven't had one this good since my wife's grandmother made it. The atmosphere is fun, great live entertainment, televisions everywhere for the sports nuts, oh wait that would be me. You can be comfortable bringing your family for lunch or dinner. My favorite dish is the buffalo chicken Caesar salad. I usually stop in after work grab a couple of Heinekens at the bar, then order two of the buffalo chicken caesar salads to go and bring them home for supper. Trust me they have everything covered. To top it off you gotta love the owner Aimee.

Pretty good townie bar. Went with one other person around 10pm on a Monday night and sat at the bar. It was nice that they were serving their full menu till 11pm. We got the teriyaki beef sticks, Hawaiian pizza, and rigatoni ala vodka /w sausage. Food was all very delicious. I recognized the teriyaki sauce being soy vey, as I buy the same one at the market. Good choice! Meat was very tender. Had wine iced cream for dessert, which was a first. Also good. Both bartenders were very nice. My only complaint was that service was a bit slow. We didn't leave till about 11:50. Seriously almost 2 hours for dinner? I can be in & out of a restaurant in 45 minutes normally. Bartenders were pre-occupied rolling up utensils and doing dishes rather than serving. One thing I'm big on is uniformity. I realize it was late, but I expect the same service anytime a restaurant is open. I'd definitely try it again though.

People think that this is just another bar in a strip mall but it's not. The food here is awesome. We started comming here for a Christmas party in December and now we like to eat here regularly. The bartender and owner is very friendly and you can tell she takes great pride in her business. When I have time to sit down for lunch Escada is always on the top of my list. The simple Italian food they have rivals The best places in providence. Their chicken parm is so crispy and juicy it sets the bar for what you will crave when you are looking for Italian food. The atmosphere is relaxed and it is always clean, great drinks and amazing food! What else could you ask for?

I absolutely love the food here; it is always satisfying and delicious no matter what you order. The chicken cordon bleu is amazing! Aimee & her brother Greg who own Escada will go out of their way to make sure all of your needs are met! Staff is friendly, pleasant, energetic, attractive, and always attentive to your needs. Great drinks, environment, entertainment & specials- one of my favorite local bar/restaurants!

I've been to this bar twice, once on a random weeknight, and once for St. Patrick's Day. I went on a Wednesday night with a friend, and there was a cover band. We really liked the band, ended up chatting with them during their break, and overall had a really good time. For St. Patrick's day, I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was! I ordered the Corned Beef Lettuce wraps, and my companion got a Reuben with sweet potato fries. Both were delicious! Their service is good, it's a bit small, but never seems too busy (I haven't been on a Friday or Saturday night though). I would go back!

The only thing better than the wings at Escada is the staff. I was made to feel like a regular on my first visit and every time I walk in I feel the same way. The food is outstanding. The portions are more than generous. Escada sets the bar high and has spoiled me.

I've been coming to Escada since it was at it's old location. From the very beginning I loved it. From the food, service and love bands.... I've worked for them doing pictures for parties and events and have always been treated well by the owners. I would definitely recommend this place for people who want to get together for great food and hear a decent band. Also a pretty good size dance area. Love Escada :)

Went with my brother last night before going back to the west coast. It was one of his friends birthday and we got some drinks and some appetizers. The food was good and I was so glad to get same adams on tap. Reason why I give this a five star is the staff was very patient with the group even though many of them were getting loud and silly as the drinks kept getting poured.

Poor bartender service... They aren't aware of their customers and can only handle one task at a time. The wings were very meaty , would have been nice to have a good selection of flavors to go along. This bar needs a bar rescue because they could be a top notch hot spot for games. Too bad the lack of attention by the staff kills any true enjoyment of it all.

Doesn't take much to be a regular here. The bartenders are extremely cognizant and will remember your name/face/drink. For the other two posts.. yes, this is a bar, however they do serve an extended menu rather than your typcial burger/mozzarella sticks/wings menu. Some are a hit, some are a miss. First time I came, I had the veal parm. It was pretty damn good, considering it cost like $12 or something like that. The marinara was good, definitely not bad... and the cheese they used was fresh mozzarella... very good. The wings are great, the shrimp cocktail (i know right) is suprisingly good at $8 for 5. The last ones i had were between U12-U14, so they were a very good size and an extemely good deal considering shrimp like that usually goes for $3-$3.50 a piece. The cocktail sauce is very good as well. Drink prices are normal for a bar... Recommeneded for a nice updated bar. Only complaint is the live music is as loud as balls. The place is tiny and wide open, they don't need the live music THAT loud.
