First time here, ordered a caramel macchiato and was asked if I wanted it in two separate cups.... I had to tell her how to make, and it was cold. Wife's cappuccino was good. I had a cupcake that was utterly disgusting. My wife likes sweet and it was so sweet she couldn't even eat it. Prices were in line with what everyone charges. The alex an ani commercial playing over and over was a bit much. Judging how the help is I dont know if I would trust them to make a alcoholic drink for me. Almost forgot... someone has to tell them to use a tissue to pick up food items rather than their hands... like the health department.

Teas and Javas is owned by AandA and though the company motto (for lack of a better term) is "energy" the employees or most of them at Teas and Javas lack this quality. It is modern and appears clean that's the upside. The only hot food items on the menu are soup everything else is sandwiches. I went here when the place first opened and they had a few bugs to work out so I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Well I have gone there several times and it has been less than stellar. I get better service at a self service coffee shop. Most of the time you are standing right in front of the person behind the counter and they fail to acknowledge you. It isn't like it's busy. Who is training the staff in this place?? I have to say I am not a fan.

My daughter and I visited this location twice since they have opened, The service is slow not ordering or being greeted but the making of drinks. That is the worst I can say. The coffee is reasonably priced and delicious. I would tell you to get it "to "go so you can leave with it. The employees were VERY friendly, patient and NICE, which can be difficult to find. Beyond the learning curve of the machines... Teas and Javas are one of our new "places" Denise Laramee

Tried their latte and muffin. Coffee was average. The muffin was okay. Probably won't be back. The place doesn't have that welcoming warm feel to it.

I had a very well done chai latte (loose leaf), which the barista had "never done before" and therefore checked and asked me how it was a few times. The service was very swift and friendly (we hemmed and hawed a bit with our order) and I like that they had a good selection of sandwiches, salad and pastries. The pecan pastry was quite good, but the muffin was unimpressive. Prices are in line with Tealuxe, Starbucks, etc.

I have been here a couple of times. it is connected to the Alex and Ani store near the Chappell Hill area, around back. the inside is well laid out with open space and a great display case. the seating is very open and accommodating. the products served are pretty good but may be a little on the pricey side. I think the main issue I have is the service. I have noticed on both occasions that there is the class system. The polite way to say it is that they cater from a service perspective more to the youth group.

I actually went in here to get something, but I actually walked out because everything on the menu seemed to have cheese on it and everything seemed to be premade. I sat staring at the menu for a while, and the staff didn't seem to care that I was doing it, despite the fact there was only one other person in the store with me. You would think they'd ask if I needed help with anything. Something about this place just felt really cold and unfriendly. Maybe I'll go back.

The atmosphere is bright and clean. It is a nice place to sit and have a drink while out shopping.

This place is very spacious modern and chic. That being said, it felt more like a fashion boutique/lounge than a coffee shop. All that was missing was a runway. The high ceilings, minimalistic black and white decor felt cold, uninviting and just wrong as a coffee shop. It had a mini bar off to the side, gelato, cafe sandwiches, pastries, teas and coffees available. The unique selections would normally get me excited. But here I was just confused wondering to myself: "why?" It connection to the Alex and Ani store only adds to the confusion. I understand that it is co-owned by Alex and Ani, but their products are unrelated. They definitely could do without the indoor top to bottom glass door adjoining the two businesses. After we were waiting to get my order taken by the two baristas chit-chatting up a storm, I received blasé service and less than impressive coffee. Their pastries were descent, again nothing outstanding. But hey, who said fashion needed to taste good anyway?

I agree with Sarah V. M.'s assessment of Teas and Javas. I was driving down Reservoir Ave and felt a bit parched so i decided to stop in and grab an iced tea especially since i've been dying to go in there. Upon walking in all the TV's are a little overwhelming and the menu doesn't really say what teas they have available iced vs hot so i had to wait for the person behind the counter who wasn't moving very quickly to give me the skinny. I decided to go the berry iced tea since it was the only flavored one they had out of the 3 iced options available. I'm sad to say my iced tea tasted like java... Maybe they had brewed the tea in the coffee machine and didn't properly clean it? I don't know... but i'm pretty sure that's not what they meant by naming the establishment Teas and Javas.... Some pros were that the sandwich options on the menu looked intriguing and tempting, and there is a direct entrance into Alex and Ani (they are owned by the same company) for my shopping convenience. All of this only a quick walk away from where i spend my 9-5 so i'll probably give them another shot.

A little overwhelming and a little expensive. It's clean, modern, bright - menu is on flat screen TVs. I nipped in for a quick cup of joe to go. Coffee only comes in two sizes: small and large. I am not a fan of the coffee beans that they brew, so I didn't finish my drink (which is unheard of considering my addiction). I got a pecan roll to go, which was fine - somewhere between they yuko stuff they serve at Brewed Awakenings and the gourmet delicacy of Seven Stars Bakery. You know, I'd try it again for a lunch that warrants a glass of wine.

I was just driving towards Garden City when I happened to see their sign. Figured I would go in for an iced tea. They have a whole bunch of different teas on the menu, but only had 3 teas to choose from today. Kind of bummed out. I ordered a sandwich and 2 iced teas (large) and it was $15. The large iced tea was the equivalent of a small Dunkin Doughnuts iced cup. Kind of pricey for what's in the area. The sandwich itself was amazingly tasty. The smokehouse turkey and Brie. Yum! The other thing that bugged me is that the place is connected to Alex and Ani, so the loud music was booming right in. I would go back again, but just for the sandwich.

I am a student and sometimes like to venture outside of the house to go study. I don't like libraries so I like to find some local coffeeshops where I can set up shop for a couple hours and focus. One day I came here to read and get some coffee. After I ordered my coffee, I sat down and began to eat an apple I had stashed in my backpack for a snack. The manager came over and told me that I couldn't eat my apple!!! I thought that this was ridiculous!! I threw out my half-eaten apple in complete despair, chugged my coffee, and went to the two other coffeeshops nearby. Anyways, I thought maybe that was just that one time, but one summer day, the shop next door was giving away free candy, and I grabbed some animal crackers before ordering a latte. AGAIN an employee came over that I couldn't eat the snack that the store next door was handing out. I am never coming back here, mostly because of the service, but the coffee, food, and gelato are nothing special. I asked where the pastries and gelato was from and the employee didn't even know.

Love in a cup, indeed! I stopped by this past weekend, mostly out of curiosity since I knew the place was owned by Alex and Ani. The place is stunning. Very chic and modern, and extremely clean. The cases are filled with amazing treats, including some of the most delicious looking cupcakes I've ever seen. And, what I think surprised me most was the variety of offerings beyond teas, javas, and the normal accompaniments: there's sandwiches, soups, blended drinks, and...(drumroll please) BOOZE. You can actually get your coffee with various liqueurs, plus a decent selection of wines, beers, etc. I got a latte which rivaled a good Italian restaurant. My husband got a personal sized pot of Oolong tea. Both of which were brought right to our table - no need to stand around waiting for your decafskimmochachochalatte nonsense. Prices were very reasonable, and from what I could see they offer a lunch special for under $5 which includes a half sandwich and soup. Surely cheaper than most comparable restaurant options in the area. Teas and Javas has stolen my heart. Now, I have to find a way to break it to Starbucks.

Can't believe a great coffee place is literally right around the corner from where I work! I can't believe I didn't know they opened! Can't believe they open from 7am to 11pm everyday! Can't believe they server alcohol too! With all the "can't believes", what you can believe is that I will definitely visit this coffee/bar after I get out of work. Yes it is owned by Alex and Ani and they have a direct entrance to and fro AandA. The sandwiches they sell are really good. My girlfriend and I came one Sunday for a late lunch. She ordered a half sandwich, Italian Blendon Ciabatta bread with Tomato Bisque soup and a Mango Green Tea. I ordered a full Roast Beef sandwich on Focaccia bread and an Americano. Everything was excellent and very fresh. My Americano was one of the best I've tasted. No joke. I only had to add one packet of sugar and was still not bitter at all. It had a great frothy top, deep black color with a strong expresso nose. Sorry to say that I may have to get this before work and will need to add a new spending entry to my daily budget. Hey, the government is raising the spending budget, why not me?
