So the food, isn't anything to write home about. Chain fare, burgers are actually surprisingly good, fries are always crisp and a little crunchier than other places, turkey tips haven't disappointed. My parents frequent the 99 for one reason and one reason alone: a dedicated gluten free grill and prep area. They are one of the first chains to do this, and that has kept my parents patronage even as some items such as the fries have had to be rotated off of the gluten free menu due to changes in recipes and supplies. Everyone who works here is super accommodating of my stepfather's severe Celiac disease. In fact they seem to be quite vigilant with anyone that requests the gluten free menu. The manager typically will stop by and ensure the order was brought out correctly, etc. The servers all know my parents and they will do thinks like ring in the meals as 3 course if they can cobble it together, or figure out how to get you a bit of a deal while dining.

Steak tip salad is the bomb! But you have to ask for it!!! Another of my favorite stops while in Rhode Island. We arrived at 12:30 for lunch and were seated immediately. Our waitress was very nice and efficient. Check brought to us while we were still eating, I guess in case we needed to make a fast getaway. I'm sure they are used to working folk coming in for lunch, and since my daughter-in-law was in her army uniform, we were probably treated a bit better than most. I usually have the steak tip salad, but I wasn't very hungry today so got their Caprese Flatbread appetizer. Loved it. It has tons of mozzarella cheese, fresh slices of tomato, bits of basil and was drizzled with a balsamic syrup. The flatbread was crisp and cooked perfectly. So why 4 stars instead of 5? They sell Pepsi products, a huge no no for me. So I got unsweetened iced tea and it was tasteless. Prices are about the same as any other restaurant like this (Applebee's, Chili's) but they don't put steak tips on your salad. But, remember, this salad is no longer on the menu, but if you ask for it, they will make it for you. Give this place a try, you won't be sorry...and if you can do it, their desserts are wonderful, especially their strawberry shortcake!!

So I would give them 4 stars for the food but the service is what I wasn't crazy about. I placed a to go order and they said 15-20 minutes. I pull into the take out spot about a half hour after calling and I had to sit and wait at least 10 minutes. Finally a worker came out and asked my name and what I ordered...(then why ask what car I'm driving??) anyway she goes back in and take another 10 minutes to bring my food out..and stands around like she deserves some big tip...get outta hereeee with that. I ordered the All star burger which comes with fries and cole slaw...no cole slaw in my order. That's so annoying when you order something and they're too dumb to put it in with your food. Ugh. Anyway the burger was really good and the fries too. If they can get their service better then I would go back but after all the little things that went wrong there is just no reason to order again when there's so many other options out there.

Soggy gold fever wings tasted like they'd come straight out of a steam table. Think junior high cafeteria, at best. Gristly, rubbery, off flavor at $10.99 an order is no way to keep customers coming back, people. A litany of bad meals, appetizers and outright nightmares over our 10 year history of patronizing this location has finally reached Critical Mass. 99, you have joined our "NO BUY" list. I am not a fan of fried food, but once or twice a year I get a craving and give in. I can make far better in my own kitchen for a fraction of 99's prices and that's what's going to happen from here on out. No wonder the place was like a ghost town, with only a couple of cars in the lot when we drove in to pick up our order. I'd give 99 ZERO stars if I could or even better, a rating of MINUS 99 stars.

The food is good and the service is great. We go here 3-4 times per month. Great price for a good meal. I usually have the grilled balsamic chicken with a baked potato and my husband has a burger and fries. Say hi to Katie, the bartender.

We went to the "99" last week n it was the worst dryest steak I've ever had the only good part to the visit is the staff is so dum they came over thinking I ordered anotherbeer but I didn't so they gave it to me for nothing and the wait was about 20 minutes for the worst meal I've haf in a long time....the server wasn't very happy about her job either seeing she only visited our table 2 times ....definitely won't b returning there ever ...surprised that place is even still there

I would like to give this place 0 stars if I could the food took a longer time than average to come out. My burger was overly salted and the cheese was not american like I ordered. The fries were salty and unappetizing, tasting greasy and soggy. The lettuce and tomato on the side were both old and soggy and wilted. My mom's salad she said the dressing was salty and the overall presentation of the salad looked disgusting. I had to ask for new silverware because ours looked dirty and they brought us "new" silverware that looked dirty as well. Everything from trying to park outside this place to entering the restaurant to trying to eat here was just terrible. I was telling my mom I wouldnt serve this food to my dog because it is so salty and doesnt taste fresh. We were waiting awhile for the check and asked someone to get our waitress he said that he would and we saw him walk away and continue what he was doing. Total lack of respect for the customer! everyone seems to have an attitude here. You won't find me back here ever.

For a chain restaurant you can't go wrong with 99. Is the food the best? No. But chain restaurants are supposed to give you value with good quality and good service. The 99 really delivers on these points. Where can you get a nice steak dinner for under 11 bucks? They try to please you too. I'm a fan of 99. If you have a family its ideal.

If we hadn't been so hungry I would have urged us to go elsewhere but we were in the area and wanted an inexpensive quick bite so we could finish our errands. I ordered a macadamia nut chicken which was ok, but the rice was mushy and bland. My dining partner had a pasta dish, which was very salty. The service was good so I can't complain about that. With so many vibrant locally owned restaurants just a 10 min drive away, I would pass this over in a heartbeat.

AN impromptu dinner consisted of country fried chicken and gravy, mashed potatoes, a vegetable. and a buttermilk biscuit. My dining partner selected balsamic chicken with the same. The portions were large, the meat was real and the flavor was good. Yes it is a chain restaurant...and I would eat there again...don't judge me:)

Ok, so I'm aware that this is a chain and not to expect too much but..... We, along with another couple, went for dinner this past weekend. The night started out okay with drinks being good and brought quickly. The night declined quite a bit from there. First, we orders some appetizers and besides the fact that there were only about 10 other tables of people in the restaurant, took about 20 minutes to get to our table. When the buffalo chicken tenders arrived, they were waaaaay overcooked and just simply awful. We ate about 1/2 the order between the 4 of us and left the rest for trash. I didn't bother reporting the bad food since I was looking forward to our dinners anyways (My Mistake). The dinners took another 20 minutes to arrive and were brought by 2 kitchen people who simply dropped the food onto the table, never asked if we needed anything further - just left. Our waitress was busy most of the night talking to the bartended and not paying any attention to her tables. Her name was Ashley and she needs a lesson in customer service and smiling every now and then. I'd like to not feel as though I'm bothering my waitress when asking for another drink that was about 45 minutes overdue! Meanwhile, we never saw her from the time she brought our appetizers until we were almost finished eating our dinners. Never came by to ask if we were all set or if we needed anything. Just to see if we needed anything boxed. Furthermore, I needed vinegar for my fries so after waiting about 5 minutes, I finally walked up to the bar to see if I could get some there but apparently, the bartender was too busy with Ashley to hear my repeated requests for help. The hostess who was seating people actually left her podium to come to the bar and ask me if I needed something. She got the vinegar for me. The Backyard BBQ dish was awful. The chicken looked like a frozen patty and the ribs were just dry and gross. What a waste for $15.78!!! GARBAGE. The kicker came when the check came.... they actually charged me 79 cents for a slice of cheese... I kid you not. I saved the receipt as proof. A $95.00 meal for 4 people and you have the nerve to charge 79 cents for a slice of cheese??? TERRIBLE FOOD, TERRIBLE SERVICE. Will NEVER, EVER, EVER go here again! Save your time/money/tastebuds and stay far away,,,,

I have been in New England for about 18 months and had not stopped in until today. Went in for a lunch. Yes, I was too afraid to commit to a dinner. Anyway, had the Crispy Chicken Salad and the wife had a Soup & Salad. My salad was really big and filling. It was what I remember Chili's salads used to be like back in the day, before they took the fast lane to crapsville. The only issue is you will need to ask for additional dressing. I can appreciate that places are trying to control costs, but sending out a big salad with about 4 tablespoons of dressing is kind of stupid, just saying. The wife liked her soup and salad as well. The price was very reasonable. So for a chain, I would not have any concern on the odd occasion stopping in. So fear not, this place is A-OK
