the boyfriend and i had a solid experience here this morning. our original intention was to try bill's bread and breakfast, but there was a serious line out the door. we'll try them another morning. we're glad, as we were able to try somewhere unexpected. this place is your basic breakfast: eggs, home fries, hash, pancakes, french toast, and then some specials. you order by number, and are asked the requisite specifics for your personal order. how do you want your eggs? what kind of toast? etc. the boyfriend went with the country breakfast which is 2 eggs, home fries, hash, corn bread, and beans. his eggs were nicely scrambled, and the hash had the tell tale crust of a flat top grill. the corn bread was also griddled to perfection. home fries in this place are a thing of beauty: in varying sizes (clearly hand cut), they're offered with a variety of toppings, all listed under fun little monikers. he got his with cheese, ham, and onions. i went with the veggie omelet with rye toast and home fries, which i got loaded: cheese, ham, onions, peppers, and mushrooms. these home fries were divine. toast was well done and buttered, and the omelet was a true french omelet: thin, evenly cooked eggs folded around freshly sauteed veggies. service was brisk, though friendly. i would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a good, comfortable place for a hearty, delicious breakfast.

Do not look at 3 Stars and think, oh no, too bad. This is a really good diner. It is cheap, it is delicious and the service is really good. I can fully appreciate someone giving this place a 4 star ranking. So why the hesitation on pulling the 4 star rating Bob? Well, let me tell you. In that great big diner haven that is Rhode Island & New England at large, this is just a super solid A-OK diner, and that is saying something. It just does not have that 'it' factor that pushes it to the level of a 4 Star like Spoonem's or Modern Diner. What you do get here is a really good diner where the owner and her girl friend run around in pajamas (two piece long sleeve and pants) making polite conversation and having a good time, which makes it fun for everyone else. Their menu is good solid breakfast fare. Nothing fancy, but broad enough to keep you reading it for a few minutes. At our table, we had an 'Atkins' omelet (4 eggs and every breakfast meat in the kitchen, onion and cheese), the Monty Christo breakfast sandwich (French toast with ham, egg, swiss cheese) and a normal 2 egg bacon, toast and home-fry. Everything was really good. Nothing to complain about. Oh, and yes, the eggs were in fact cooked just right and the coffee cup is big and always stays full. We will return.

It is cheap, delicious, diner breakfast heaven. Think $5 per person or less for most breakfasts. The bacon is crispy but not crunchy and overcooked with just the right amount of grease. The home fries are exactly to my liking. Eggs are always cooked just right. It is tiny and nearly always full to the brim.

I brought my daughters today, on Mother's Day, and I gotta say it was kind of disappointing...as a waitress myself, I was disappointed to go to a place with only maybe 6 tables and have to go to the counter to ask for more drinks. I got a coffee but wasn't asked what my daughters wanted to drink. The food was mediocre, but nothing compared to all these other posts on here. And I just want to add, please have your waitress put some effort into getting ready for work. Working in a lingerie nighty, is probably not appropriate....and swearing while working around children customers is probably not smart to do. I normally don't post on here but as a mother, it was a big disappointment. I'm sure you expected a small tip, and probably was very surprised with your almost 50% tip! The only reason for that was because it took too long to get you to come over ( with only 5 customers in the place smh) and it's Mother's Day....so enjoy your Mother's Day, but please put some effort into being a waitress!!! Thanks!

The only draw back to PJs is the size. It is a small place so it fills up quick. The food is good and the staff is attentive. You will get the double meaning in the name when you arrive.

This place is small but you will feel at home when you arrive. It seems like the tiny atmosphere promotes neighborhood conversation from Keno to politics. The food is fantastic and to order. I am particular to the basics of eggs over easy, bacon, and toast. The owner goes out of her way to welcome each guest and might even stop by your table for conversation. One time here and you will plan to come back, I did.
