Worst lobster quesadilla in my life -- lobster overlooked & so tough it was indelible and So greasy. Up until last year they served the best lobster quesadilla anywhere. The "Rojo" red hot sauce was neither. What it was is mushy pica de gallo. The other 2 salsas were pretty bland also. However, The chips were fabulous and The frozen margarita respectable, and I still love the view. That's why 3 instead of 1 star.

Decent service and the drinks are generous. The food had some evidence of a chef trying hard to make something good from nothing. I expected more local ingredients and flare but to no avail. Not to mention the very short menu itself; not many choices. If you do go, the fish tacos were good.

Yup. WGW. (see previous review, haha) And for my summer birthday??!! A no-brainer. Not much has changed about my feelings toward Kittens. Everyone was as friendly as they were the summer of '09 and '10. And they were no different in 2012. I just wish this place (or Block Island, in general) was easier to get to during the summer months. Whomp whomp. Mexican on the deck was a hit/miss for me this season. I only enjoyed half of my meal while my friend enjoyed everything. I had a side that was rice and beans... it was so bitter that it was inedible. I asked them if I could swap for the refried beans and they accommodated me without question. Great service from the waitstaff!

It's a sports bar, and can get rowdy. Haven't experienced all that much, so I can't give a full review. Decor was nice, had plenty of TV's and a pool table. Beer selection was typical of a sports bar and many other places on the island. If you go, don't go on a crowded night. Unless you like that sort of thing.

$10 to walk in the door. Usually a crummy-ish cover band playing. Expensive drinks, cash only - no ATM to be found. That said, it is likely the most popular bar on the island and is fan-freakin-tastic for people watching and good laughs.

The service was prompt and refills plentiful. The prices were very reasonable. The quasadilla was huge and very tasty. The chips and salsa could have been a meal in itself. The soft shell taco were small but came with a side. The chicken salad wrap was ok. Not a fan of cucumbers so I think might have swayed my opinion. The downside to this place is the restrooms. They were clean but tiny and made me feel like I was in a Johnny on the spot. Avoid if possible, especially if you do not like confined spaces.

Eh. That's my impression. Food was pretty gross. Drinks were wonderful! Find somewhere else if you are looking for a decent meal. Mexican bar food? Is that a thing? Staff was nice.

A great place to go out for a night of dancing. The bar was hoping and the band played lots of fun covers. They were really good and very energetic. I found the crowd to be slightly happier and less aggressive than at Cpt Nick's.

Came during the day and ate outside on the deck. Prices were reasonable for the block. Server was nice and attentive and it wasn't very crowded. Very large inside with pool tables, etc. I would imagine this place is a horror show at night packed with meatheads and skanks

On Block Island its slim pickins for bars. Hello Kitty is a must! Yes, I always forget its called "Yellow Kitten" ... and Hello Kitty is easier to remember. The cover is expensive, $10 I think? The drinks are expensive. The band is REALLY loud, and the bathrooms are REALLY small. Get over it and enjoy it. Get on the dance floor, dance your ass off and laugh at how stupidly the people around you are dancing. Maybe if you're lucky like me and my friends the door guys will draw inappropriate yet funny pictures on your hands with permanent marker, in which you will wake up with smudged marker on your face and your pillow the next morning.

I had the Mexican lunch. Fish tacos were good - one star, service was good - one star, parking - one star. The Taco salad was not worth $8 (canned peppers, canned olives and lots of leaves). A-OK

Just do it.

My favorite bar on the Island. They have some good bands usually, and really good DJ's. They also have a large outdoor area with a bar. Can't go wrong with a $2 PBR.

The yellow kittens used to have a limited mexican menu. Word on the street was they were abandoning that in 2014 for more american fare. This was sort of confirmed during the July 4th weekend of 2014 when the only meal option was either a hamburger or hot dog wrapped in foil. Fast forward a year and it appears that whole thought was abandoned in lieu of a full mexican menu. My friends, it is good. Burritos are huge and delicious. Tacos are huge and delicious. And they have corn bread with some sort of amazing butter. Get that. In fact, go there just for that. Only down fall is there is an angry old man that runs the joint. Maybe 60, pepper hair, checkered deck shoes, looks like he just rolled out of bed. He's no fun.

Views of the water. Best nachos ever! Great frozen margaritas too. We got half an order of nachos and wanted the other half stat!

I was not impressed. I don't know maybe I was missing something. A group of six of us went on a Sunday night to hang out and have a few drinks. A cover charge? There was no one in the place? I don't get it. Anyway don't bother stay on Water St. Drinks are better, bands are better, the atmosphere is better.

Clearly a local spot. A little odd walking in and trying to get a table/menu as an outside. BUT the food was really good.

So, this is a review for Mexican on the deck. I usually always come here on a weekday, usually Mondays so it's never been that busy. Sometimes it takes a bit to get a server to the table, but i think it's because they're understaffed. I came here a few times with a friend, and we always order rum runners and tacos. The rum runners are DELISH and might I add, soo strong. We ordered our tacos after that, I got ground beef and my friend got the fish tacos. Never any complaints and always very filling! Yellow Kittens is a must go to on the island.

Reggae nite on Sunday. Nothing but fun. $5 cover for the tourist and if the bouncer knows you than you can skate on in. The only issue I can see is that the fun has to stop when the bar closes.

Three stars seems like damning someone with faint praise....but 3 stars is totally OK, it means "A-OK"! It's not my scene, but I DID hear "Blurred Lines" by a live band, so that's something. And it's better than Cap't Nicks.

I got the Burrito Bowl and it was pretty good, though it could have used a little more spice. Nice little place.

God Damn what a great place! Margaritas are awesome and nachos are delish! Our bartender was excellent!

The little restaurant off Yellow kittens "Los Gatitos" has amazing nachos! The nachos are crispy, freshly baked, and are covered in cheese, beans, gauc, and a few different salsas and sauces. It's a bit spicy in certain parts, but boy oh boy if you have a group of 4 friends, the full-size nachos are perfect for you. If it's just the two of you, start with the half size. The frozen margs were delicious too. Well-blended, with a very generous amount of alcohol. The service here is a little slow, and we did have to get up a few times just to get our water refilled (since the nachos were on the spicy side). Our waitress only came by to take our order, give us the food, and for the check. Otherwise, this place is fantastic for a late lunch after heating yourself up at the beach next door. It's also easily accessible from the dock and the town.

The whole setup is kinda weird because Los Gatitos is closely run in conjunction with Yellow Kittens. The two businesses are located next to each other. Los Gatitos is the Mexican restaurant side of the business (located on an outdoor deck) and Yellow Kittens is the bar part of the business (located indoors). In the evenings Yellow Kittens will host live bands. Got that? To call this place a Mexican restaurant is a stretch. It's basically an outdoor bar that serves Mexican bar food. They serve nachos, burritos and tacos. Big whoop dee doo. But that doesn't mean the food is bad. It's not. My nachos were quite excellent (unfortunately they contained 2 billion calories) and my Narragansett Shady was nice and cold. It's a nice place to stop after hitting Fred Benson Beach to grab some suds and grub. Personally I wouldn't plan on eating any big dinner time meals here. It just isn't that type of place.

We ordered the corn on the cob as an appetizer. It was to die for! If you like flavor, you will love it! I ordered the "build your own" soft tacos with chicken. Chicken was a little dry, taco was soggy, and the cilantro sour cream never showed up. And she charged us the 50 cents for it anyways so that was annoying. My husband ordered the steak burrito and said was "okay" but needed more flavor. The waitress was not overly friendly or attentive. I had to literally wave the waitress down and ask her if the sour cream was on the taco (mind you only about three tables occupied at the restaurant). She said it was and when I was going to ask her for a side of some, because it was clearly absent from my taco, she vanished. And she never officially came around to even ask how the meal was... Kind of frustrating.

I was here for drinks and dancing Labor Day weekend. The drinks were super strong. The mudslide I had here was not as thick because the enormous amount of alcohol prevented it from freezing. For the mood we were in, this is not a complaint. The band playing that night was the Wicked Peach, a 90s cover band. They were excellent. Around 11 it really started to get packed though and there was some pushing, shoving, and lots of very drunk people, resulted in some bouncers running through to the stage a few times and the band being asked to stop playing for a little bit while things were sorted out. We called it quits around 12:30 because it did get a little out of hand. Brought me back to college days. It was fun while it lasted though
