Still like this deli but had some probelm my last visit. Ordered an Italian Grinder and beef noodle soup special with a side of Creme de menthe cake. First the pros: Soup was fresh, homemade tasting and hot. Sandwich had great premium cold cuts full of flavor. Cake was moist and dense. Now the cons: Could only find 1 piece of beef in soup, at $8 bucks humor me with at least two! Bread on sandwich was rock hard, had to discard the top of my sandwich. No mint taste whatsoever in the cake? Did I miss something with the Creme de menthe thing? Order was to go..no silverware or napkins included. Had to pop into neighboring business to get silverware.. Bummer All in all I still like this place just hope this was a bad weekend! I really want a decent deli stop in York, Pa

Made a mistake and went there. I ordered a roast beef sandwich, and got a hot mess on a saggy loaf with some bland white dressing (not sure if it was sour cream or yogurt based) got disgusted by the whole taste. Threw it away and got lunch elsewhere. Since when is this a deli roast beef sandwich. AVOID.

I ate at The Festive Board about 6 weeks ago on a trip to the York area for some antiquing. I had found it on Yelp and was excited to try it due to the reviews. I wish I could say something positive about the food but honestly the sandwich I had was such an utter disappointment that it's impossible to do so. I ordered a simple egg salad sandwich which was tasteless, VERY runny...it literally fell apart before I could finish eating it. And it was served on a styrofoam plate so tiny as to be flat out ridiculous. I was given one skimpy napkin and had to return to the counter again and AGAIN to ask for more because the sandwich was impossible to eat without creating a mess. Note to management: try leaving napkins out where people can get their own and also think about using more appealing, not to mention serviceable, dinnerware. It's hard to believe what should be a competent deli could mess up something so simple as an egg salad sandwich. I also had lemonade to drink which was terrible - tasted like lemon Kool-Aid. I felt bad for the woman who took my order since I had to keep asking for napkins repeatedly but the sandwich was made and served extremely poorly. This isn't a place I would bother returning to the next time I'm in the York area.

So happy to find a cute little place in York with so much character! They have delicious meats, breads, cheeses, and a good variety of sandwiches and potato/pasta salads. The prices are good and the staff is always pretty friendly. Definitely worth trying for a great lunch spot in York!

Great sandwiches with quality meats and fresh veggies... Reasonable prices given the quality. Just wish they had a more spacious dining area...

Excellent find! The food is all homemade and absolutely delicious. I wish I lived closer. I would be here every day! Loved the tuscan chicken salad and the croissant! Excellent desserts too! Very friendly service! I will return again when I am in the York area.

Love coming to this quaint little shop. They have a huge selection of cheeses from all over the world and the cannoli is pretty tasty too! Everything looks delish!

Thank you a million times over for a great event! Ed your staff, lead by Debbie made my daughters wedding the most enjoyable experience. The food was impeccable, service over the top and most of all we didn't have to do anything and I mean anything. They set the venue, placed the favors and centerpieces, carried chairs from wedding to reception, set up our bar and ice cream bar ( that we supplied even) and even took all the trash! I will be using Festive Board again and again!

great local deli! i've been coming here for over 10 years and i've never had something i didn't like from this place. their fresh baked breads are amazing. i love that they will slice the italian loaf for you in slices perfect for slathering on their spreads (my favorite is the tomato basil spread) and butters (the garlic herb is amazing!). their italian subs are fresh and flavorful, the quiches reheat perfectly at home, and their prepared salads are always good. i love the shrimp salad - little bit of a kick to it but not overwhelming. they have a great selection of cheese and many pastries and desserts, along with daily soup/sandwich specials. i believe that they also cater but i've not used that service. keep it up festive board!!

The absolute best sub/hoagie that I have found in Central PA. Had the "gourmet sub" - the sub roll is amazing, the cold cuts top notch, the tapanade in lieu of the olive oil gave a nice twist. Produce fresh and colorful, even in cold December. Also purchased some Italian Wedding Ball soup for later, cold cuts, smoked sausage, a Greek medley - in short I left with a lot more than I came there to get. Great European style deli. Will be back, for sure.

I love the food! The atmosphere is very inviting, very German oriented and the staff/ owner is very polite. EVERYTHING IS HOMEMADE!!! When you dine for the first time they will compliment you with free homemade chicken salad or a free piece of homemade carrot cake!!! The place is a little small, but they let you move tables and chairs with no hesitations and they are always willing to please the customers!! It's my favorite lunch or breakfast spot!! Oh,and its right next to the Bon-ton and Frank Theaters!!!

I just discovered Festive Board and am very happy I did! The meats, cheeses and breads are all very high quality and flavorful. Service is very friendly and accommodating. Certainly one of York's top deli options. Will definitely be a regular.

Okay. I love subs and hoagies and always have trouble finding a place that makes a decent sandwich. I like them piled high but I'm more a fan of quality (flavor) than quantity. After reading some of the reviews here and watching a matinee at the nearby Franks Theater, I thought I would try it. The effervescent server who took my order gave me a free small container of chicken salad to take home. I tried one of their specialty sandwiches: the Grinder sub with heated mortadella, capicola, provolone, genoa salami, lettuce, tomato, onions, peppers, oil and spices. Brought to me on one of their homemade rolls, it was one of the most flavorful subs I ever ate. They bake all of their own breads fresh and use high quality meats and cheeses. Piled high? No. But high on flavor? Yes. It is located in a hole-in-the-wall at the bend in the Queensgate shopping center, but I've learned from "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" that some of the best places to eat freshly prepared foods are in places like this. I'll definitely be back to try some of their other sandwiches.

Very good food! Very small dining area but the customer service was excellent... They even gave us a free piece of cheesecake to take home and it was delicious too! We will definitely be back.

I love this place for amazingly fresh breads, salads and pastas. The sandwiches and subs are delicious with a European / Mediterranean flair. The daily specials are always yummy and the atmosphere is charming.

This place is really just a small hole in the wall at the Queensgate Plaza and is steadily becoming my favorite lunch stop in the area. Its very European to me packed with fresh dishes and has a full deli. Fresh smoked meats, lovely desserts (cheesecakes, muffins, cookies, cakes, pies, puff pastries stuffed with fresh cream), great bread that make GREAT sandwiches. The seasonal soups were amazing, hearty and made from scratch and taking veggie-minded company with me the stuffed pepper special pleased them quite happily. This place could take anyother sandwich shop in the area out of business. Lastly, very nice staff and does have a few tables inside if you like to eat in.
