All my years of traveling around the world I have never been to a place with the best bartenders. On my second visit they knew what my drink was. After a few days they knew my habits. It's been my dinner table for a few weeks now. Awesome workers and good food...

The second best location in the area. I made my review in the Camp Hill location but I've been to this location plenty of times as well. I usually do the call ahead seating for this location as it is always busy. The food and service is outstanding. My order for an appetizer is usually boneless buffalo wings (hot) with extra blue cheese dressing. The chicken for these are usually bigger than most locations. Main course I order my picked out 11oz sirloin, cooked medium with extra crumbled blue cheese on top. Sides I will order a baked potato with just cheese and whatever my boyfriend wants. The portions are big so I usually give him my second side. The rolls with cinnamon butter are absolutely delicious. I don't think we have ever had a bad meal at this location. The parking isn't overly great when it's busy but they do have overflow on the opposite side of the restaurant in the mall parking lot. If you decide to go anywhere from 5pm-8pm, use the call ahead seating to get your name on the list. You may have to wait an extra 5-10 minutes but it's better than standing in lime with everyone else for a half hour or more.

Great place, great food, good service. It's always a treat to come here. You know it's good when it's a 45min wait to be seated. Steaks are good but the country fried chicken with mash potatoes is my favorite.

This the best Road House ever. Have been here at least 50 times and have been satisfied every time. They have an amazingly loyal local customer base and they always make you feel like part of the family. The bartender Keith doesn't forget your favorites even after a year and he calls everyone by name.

Personally, I'm a fan of steakhouses and the atmosphere they typically create. When I go to get a steak I don't want to wear a full suit and tie, I want to wear jeans and a comfy shirt and listen to country music. Texas Roadhouse as a chain hits that nail right on the head. The food is fantastic and is easily the best steakhouse hands down in the city of York, PA. I haven't ordered a single thing on the menu I haven't enjoyed. I'd say food-wise, a generous 4/5. You go to eat steak, the burgers and such are good but steak is their primary food. Don't go to expect perfect seafood at a steakhouse with a country theme. The bar is small but cozy. I've seen bigger bars but frankly this restaurant doesn't call for anything bigger. The bartenders are decent, the drinks are ok. Again, I'm not expecting perfect cocktails at a steakhouse. I'd say 3/5 on the bar. The atmosphere and service is where this restaurant makes it mark. You won;t always get a perfect drink or a perfect meal so atmosphere is important. The country theme appeals to me so I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff is fun and helpful. I have to say management does a good job employing its staff. For a busy place they seat and move people out fairly swiftly. The music, tv's, and staff make a perfect 5/5 for atmosphere. Food: 4/5 Drinks: 3/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Total: Four Stars

I like Texas Roadhouse but this place is the best one around. I have never had a bad steak here. A+, service is always great. Kudos to the mgmt. Staff for assembling a good crew. I would rather less people go since it is busy but they herd people in and out quick.

Plain and simple, I love this place. I do not say this lightly, as generally I can't stand the food at chain restaurants. (Even calling a chain restaurant a "restaurant" rubs against the grain...) However, there is an exception to every rule, and in my case this is it. #1 - The rolls. Love them. Warm, yeasty, flavorful. The honey butter makes what is good, great. #2 - Vegetables that aren't steamed beyond all recognition with every possible nutrient cooked out of them. They're crispy, bright-colored, and served with a light lemon flavor. #3 - Finally - a place that cooks steak the way I like it - absolutely red inside. They know what "rare" means. And I like that. #4 - Some of the best wait staff around. Consistently friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about the menu. They give enough attention without being obsequious. They definitely earn their tips. I agree with another reviewer's about the noise - it can make hearing at your own table difficult. But once the food comes, all conversation pretty much comes to a halt anyway!

Great food! Good beer selection! Great Service! Only down-side..... the wait on Friday and Sat nights can get up to 2 hours. Luckily they do call ahead seating and with the No Wait app, you can track your place in line and show up at the perfect time to get seated. If you want relaxed atmosphere and some good food and drinks, this place is the spot!

You can expect a louder atmosphere here but you can also expect good food. The rolls with the cinnamon butter are always awesome, my steak was cooked to order and the baked potato was large and wonderfully loaded. Our server was polite and attentive.

Just had dinner there was not a good experience our server Luke was probably the worst server we have ever had in this restaurant, he took our order delivered our drinks and our meals at this time he was asked for creamy horseradish sauce that we received at the end of our meal and it was delivered by someone else Luke never checked on ad at all we saw him when we ordered and when he dropped the check apparently the party of nine need all his attention to bad for him we are normally great with leaving tips when service is good that didn't happen todsy

Horrible! Planned to meet a friend here for dinner arrived early and asked for a table only to find out they do not seat "incomplete" parties and was refused a table till my friend arrived. I had intended to enjoy a cocktail and an appetizer while I waited instead I was denied. I have never heard of such a policy! Of course I left and went to long horn where they had no issue with seating me. I will never eat at this place again.

I've been to many chains in my life and if they are clean, well run, and a decent value they get three stars from me. Regarding these folks; I have visited many locations across the country and I consistently find myself awarding four stars. This location is no exception. That does not mean that their steaks compare to a high-end steakhouse at triple the price or more. They don't. But I do get a very good steak dinner that is an excellent value. I sat at the bar at this location and bartender Gary was great throughout my stay. Of course I started with those ridiculously addictive hot rolls and cinnamon butter. Some folks say they are a little heavy and they would be correct but they are still delicious. I ordered a sirloin, mashed potatoes, and mixed vegetables. My steak was cooked to order and tender. I love the vegetables here as they don't overcook them. This visit it was a mix of broccoli and baby carrots. Nice and hot but still firm. Perfect! With my dinner I had two good sized and strong house margaritas. My total bill was twenty-something. I walked out with a smile on my face and $$$ still in my wallet.

Shout out to Keith and Alec and the whole staff who made my sister-in-law's wedding after party so much fun!!! They were supposed to close at 11 but let our whole crew of wedding goers (well over 50 people) in to the bar and stayed open til close to 1 AM! Honestly the best customer service we could have asked for! :) also, they served us all with smiles! You guys are the best!! Thanks again for the great night!

Robby the waiter was great. The staff in general were all friendly, helpful, and speedy. The Pickle ate 7 rolls! And had rattlesnake bites, and ate off of our plates. The colonel and I tried to stay on the healthier side. He had the six ounce filet with sweet potato and Caesar salad, no roll. I had the half BBQ chicken with baked potato and fresh vegetables, one roll. The meat was great quality, and I liked that my potato had rock salt on the skin. We both ordered Margaritas with floats, or whatever they are calling them. Mine was blended, no salt, and the Colonel had OTR with salt. Both were HUGE and sadly, way too sweet (sour mix is an abomination). I could not finish mine, and while the Colonel manned up and drank both in the end, the struggle was real. Oh and at $53 for three people including drinks it was an incredibly good value

I am not a big fan of chain restaurants but this location is close to our home so we go here from time to time. The wait staff for the most part is very friendly and quick on refills and checking in. The food has always been done very well and to our liking. We really enjoy the ribs and the loaded baked potatoes. But almost anything is good on the menu and you can't go wrong. I strongly recommend calling ahead and getting put on their "wait list". They don't take reservations but this can help on the waiting time. It's constantly busy and there is almost always a wait during peak times. Parking can be a hassle too.

This has got to be the best place ever... Our server Ryan was amazing. It's my birthday and I didn't want anything big singing or anything so he had every server come over and say happy birthday throughout the meal. Before we left he gave me a to go box that said happy birthday inside.

Salads are so much better on a chilled plate. Steaks are so much better at Texas Roadhouse.

This is the only place I would recommend to a visitor coming to the area seeking quality meals. One of the few places that rarely disappoints, and if so they fix it right.

Texas Roadhouse is about as good as it gets in York. The service has always been very good on all five of my visits. The one time where there was an issue with the food, they were very prompt in wanting to fix the issue and did so successfully. This is the go to place for my family when we want an issue free steak dinner in York.

Jeff K.
The food is always very good. The service is a little fast because they are trying to get people in and out quickly. My wife loves the margaritas and I love the steaks so it is a win / win. And if your steak isn't prepared to your liking they will grill you a new one. Other than the music being very loud it's always a decent meal..

i'm not a big fan of chain restaurants but this place is pretty great. have been here a few times now, once on a friday night around 7 and another weeknight around 6. both times we were seated promptly and food came out in a moderate/fast amount of time. i love their dinner rolls with the honey butter and their dinner salads are enough for leftovers. partner loves their steaks and burgers. aside from the great food and reasonable prices i have to note that each time our servers were uncommonly good...they were attentive and seemed to be genuinely friendly which is not that easy to come by!

My favorite place for ribs. For $11.99 I can get a half rack of great ribs, a good salad, and a baked sweet potato. No one else in town can touch it... And the homemade rolls which are less than 5 minutes old are just icing on the cake. Definitely use the call ahead seating as it is the most popular steak place in town.

Rolled in late Sunday night during a long haul back to Canada. I had the 23 oz. T-bone steak with mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and corn. I asked to have my steak rare. The meat was perfectly done and was very tender and tasty. Obviously aged right! The service was excellent! Thanks to "Mitchell" our waiter! When back in the States I will look for a Texas Roadhouse!

One honestly can not go wrong here. My wife and I eat here at least once every two weeks. For the price, you're not going to find a better steak in York, everything here tastes good, and is priced fair. The atmosphere is a little hokey, but when you have a 3-year old, it's nice that no one cares if she makes a little noise. The dinner salads are also some of the best in York, in my opinion. Good service and management too.

Been to a couple of Texas Roadhouse location and this one is also very consistent with the brand. Service here was excellent. Immediately seated at 6:30 PM which is unusual. The waiter took our order when we were ready and they apparently have a team system because the appetizer came up very hot (brought by another waitress) and then the salads, followed by the main course. Timing was right on, with water refills coming just as needed (I have "dry mouth"). We had the Baby Blossom appetizer and it's intended for two, but we really did not even get half-way through it, so you could do just fine with up to four people for this. This is one of the best "fried onion" appetizers anywhere. I had half rack of ribs for the first time because it was featured on a Food Channel show and I thought it was quite good. The side salad is crisp and delivers, along with blue cheese dressing on the side. I also had the fresh steamed broccoli Wife had the 10-oz prime rib and it was awesome, done rare as ordered. Both of us felt nothing needed to be added to our entrees. We are fans of Texas Roadhouse, even though my profile says I generally avoid chains. This is one of the few on my short list. Best to get to any TR by 6:00 PM if you want to be seated immediately. They are popular for many reasons.

Well I got here about 20 min ahead of the rest of our group. Well they would not put us on the list till everyone was their. Till our friends arrived it was a 45 min wait. I'd be ok with a 45 min wait normally but till we got in it was over an hour because we couldn't put our name in. Very disappointed! Ill be going some were else next time.

From previous experiences here I would have given this place 3 stars, but my last trip brings it up to 4. Made it in slightly before the dinner rush and were seated and waited on promptly. In the past I have usually gone with a sirloin and rib combo, but have never been very impressed with the ribs. I decided to go with the filet medallions this time and was beyond pleased with the cut and preparation. I technically didn't even need to use a knife to cut the meat and it melted in my mouth. The sides were nothing special, but the steak is what made the meal. All in all, this is a pretty good option for steak in York, but not the best option. And just a quick tip, the fried pickles are a tasty appetizer to get you started.

I have to say this place is amazing! Food is so awesome it's just crazy! We went on a sat. Night so we did have to wait about 15 minutes but we just went to the bar... The staff were very nice and the food was quick and so good! We had a party of four and not a single complaint from anything at all....fried pickles, burgers, steaks and can't forget those SWEET rolls! All great great food.... Coming back very soon!

If you are looking for a good tasty steak meal without diggin into the wallet too deep, I would definately recommend this place. Their appetizer rolls are one of the best I've ever had. It's freshly baked, hot when you eat them, sweet to the taste, and doughy enough for some chewy-ness. They can be heavy, so try not eating too many before your main meal. I ordered the 12oz rib-eye steak with the herb rice and steamed veges for the two sides. The steak was cook just right at medium rare, but I thought there was way too much fat where I had to cut away. The veges were a tad overcooked, and the herb rice feels like they have been in the steam warmer too long. Nothing close to spectacular when it comes to presentation either, but at the very least, the food was tasty. If you are planning to come to this place during dinner time, you can call ahead and reserve a seating number. Fortunately when my coworkers and I went, the place wasnt all that crowded, so we were able to get a seat when we got there. The service was pretty good overall, and the waiter who served us worked pretty hard for his tip. That was because I talked trash about his Boston Celtics t-shirt he was wearing. lol! Overall this is an ok place to eat. I would come back again for a piece of T-bone and some dinner rolls. =)

This restaurant was recommended through TripAdvisor and decided to give it a try. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. The steaks were cooked exactly as requested - not overdone or under done. The sides were tasty. And the service was prompt and efficient. The honey cinnamon buns are served as you are seated and make for a tasty treat. And you can pick your cut of steak from the display as you are being seated. The only minor negatives were 1) the country music was too loud, making it hard to hear your dining companions and 2) the free peanuts served in metal buckets take up way too much space on the table. If you are looking for reasonably priced steaks, this place is definitely worth trying.

I've eaten here so many times that I've lost count. The best thing about this place is that their flavoring is awesome all by itself - There's no need to drown your steak with sauce! I usually get the Dallas Filet (medium and butterflied) and it's been perfect every time. The bad side is that it's always crowded, there's always an hour wait, and you may end up parking at the mall while waiting outside in the cold. As a result, the staff's actions and conversations are scripted and phony, but at least I leave stuffed with a decent meal for a decent price!

There is no one in charge. The place is a madhouse. The front door is a mob scene. I was waiting at the front when they called my number and was told to go over to the side. By the time I had traveled the 12 feet to the side, they had given my table away. I was eating with a handicapped person and told them I needed a table when I originally signed up for the waiting list. After giving away our table, they led us to a booth that his wheelchair couldn't fit under. Their response was to disappear, no kidding. So I went back up to the front desk again. They placed me and my companion in the aisle way between the bar and the dining room and left us there for 20 minutes. I finally went back to the front desk and asked to see the manager. He said that he was "keeping an eye on us". What does that mean? I asked for a number to call their headquarters (which is in Kentucky) and left. I called the number... It was a dead ended call tree with no way to talk to any one or leave a message. I have eaten at several Texas Roadhouses in the past and did not expect this behavior. I do not recommend this restaurant. Every single person working there (that I encountered) was thoughtless and uncaring. We were in their way and they wanted us to leave so they ignored us. This is my home town. These people are presenting a bad image of York, Pa. They wrecked our night.

Excellent Food and Great Service. Atmosphere is too loud. Come here if you want loud country music and a headache along with good food and service. If you come during daylight, a few seats may have the sun in your eyes. Typical Texas Roadhouse chain with loud country music, but if you're in the right mood this is a wonderful restaurant with excellent food and service. If its busy, prepare to wait for a table. Dinner rolls are special (but same as all TR chains) and the steaks and ribs are superb just like Outback.

I found everything at this place to be a bit much. The salad was loaded with cheese, potato was swimming in butter and my Rib eye was about half meat and half fat. Maybe I should of went to the display case to choose my steak but that idea seems to weird to me. I walked out of there feeling like I just just doing something wrong to my insides. This review seems rough and I knew if I wanted healthier fare I could of been a bit more choosy but you just do not expect that much it just felt like everything was being drowned in fat instead of seasoning, also they ASK you if you want cheese on your steak... it felt like I was in some kind of Paula Deen nightmare. I am all about being naughty now and again with a less than healthy night out but there are limits. Personally when it comes to judging chain-steak houses I would say Outback has fresher salads, nicer cuts of meat and cleaner venues.

We love Texas Roadhouse! Their steaks are delicious, especially the ribeye! Great baked potatoes and I love their salads. They have a french dressing that is soooooooo good! We go here often and the staff is always friendly and the service is quick! I love their homemade dinner rolls, but they are a little heavy.

My husband is a steak eater and he loves the steaks here. There have been a few times when they haven't followed his cooking preference (Med Rare) but overall, this is still his favorite place to pick a steak. Personally, I only like their ribs & chicken, but there are enough variations of those to keep me happy. The ribs have never disapointed me. If you go on a Fri-Sun. after 5, expect a long wait. They do have call-ahead seating, but we've tried that route and there's still a wait once you get there. The staff are friendly and accomidating and they do a line dance in the aisle every once in awhile, so that is amusing.

The Chili Cheese Fries and rolls are excellent and alone are worth going for. The menu is typical steakhouse selection; wait staff is friendly. Cons: The "take a number" waiting system and the stupid birthday announcement/cheers of which you can expect at least 5 while you are there.

This is a terrific place to eat, but if it's a weekend you will want to call ahead - save yourself 2 hours of throwing peanut shells on the floor while you smell other people's dinners. That aside, the food is terrific - you can even choose your own steak (kind of like a cross between a lobster tank and a dissection tray) if you're so inclined. Food is tasty, beverages are well-mixed by really good bartenders, and the waitstaff are absolutely professional, competent, and friendly.

Great pork BBQ ribs! Loved the Country Music that was piped into the restaurant too! Wait staff appropriately attentive

Their buns are soooo delicious and made fresh every 5 minutes. They are hard to resist. Fried pickles are excellent as well. You can't beat the service

The quality of the service was very good and the food was tasty. Texas Roadhouse is a great go to chain restaurant.
