Knickers Pub & Grill is the casual sports bar side of the Heritage Hills operation. The management is really nice and so is the wait and bar staff. That's a plus in what can be a madhouse environment sometimes, the bar at a resort. I liked the sawdust bowling game (not sure what it's called) and there were plenty of TV's for us to watch the Stanley Cup playoffs. Penguins! Fliers! Rah rah rah! Knickers could do itself a favor and knock down the East wall of the tiny bar and expand into the restaurant. I mean, the bar is more popular than the restaurant and it feels a little bit cramped inside. The star here, though, is the patio. The HUGE patio with tons of seating and levels and heaters. And on weekends, music. Heritage Hills really keeps the local performers in mind and I love that. Okay, so a guy playing Bare Naked Ladies covers wasn't a huge hit with me, but some of our group was really digging it! The prices are very reasonable, $2.50 for a Yuengling? Hook it up! But clean your taps more often. Yuengling in the bottle tastes about ten times better than the fizzy bland tapped version at Knickers. The Harp did not have the same problem. (No disrespect to fellow Yuengling admirers!). If you're into apetizers, the wings and calamari and crab dip looked really good. And the patio was amazing, seriously. If I lived anywhere near this place in the summer I would be here all the time!

Standard pub, cheap drinks, nice staff. If I weren't staying at the Inn at Heritage Hills, I wouldn't have wandered into this place. Nothing really separates Knickers from any other pub except... the shuffleboard. Why doesn't every pub have shuffleboard? They take up very little space, especially considering how much extra space people playing pool need around a pool table. Kudos to you Knickers for cramming a shuffleboard table against the wall, hiss to all you other bars who haven't. Auf

2-21-12 OK, so we were put up at Heritage Hills by work for our yearly meeting. The idea was that since there are 2 restaurants there nobody would have to leave / drive. At first I was bit miffed about not getting my Comfort Inn points or our traditional stromboli from Piazza Romana by the place we usually stay. That changed soon though... The rooms were very nice, and having Knickers just down stairs really was great. The atmosphere was just right, not too loud, casual, and good beer selection. The menu was nicely varied (I had meatloaf one night and a cheeseburger another - both very good with nice sides). The wait staff was very attentive and pleasant. They do the breakfast buffet here and it was very good as well.

We come here once a year to snow tube and spend the night. Each time the food has been very good. Had a crock of french onion soup....on the sweeter side but still very good. I got meatloaf with mashed potatoes and zucchini and squash and it was delicious. For dessert I got a s'mores brownie ....very good. All portions were generous. Our server was Katelyn and even though we had a large group she took excellent care of us.

Stop 2 for the night. Wow,.. this place was hoppin. Probably 300 people. It was Thursday nite and Scott Kirby was playin on the patio. And what a patio and bar. Got a jack n coke @ the inside bar but stayed at the outside bar to appreciate the music and crowd. A mixture of older folks and young, but mostly a country club type atmosphere. The guys looked like they just got off the course w/ their short white socks (this was gay back in the day) and collared shirts. The place felt upscale, and a lot of fun for anyone wanting a meal, drinks and entertainment (people watching). Would like to come back again w/ a group of friends and have a blast. Thanks Tom M for the heads up!

While the casual summer atmosphere of this place deserves 4 or 5 stars, I am giving this place 2 stars for the overall experience (limited bar, semi-decent draught beers, not-so-good shots) and an extra star for their outdoor patio. The weather was great for sitting outside and there were tons of people out on a Saturday night. It wasn't my scene (see: annoying ditzy women, dude bros, and townies who look like they've never seen an Asian person before), but I was amongst great company and we were already sort of drunk so it didn't matter. This place reminded me of Casey Moore's in Tempe, AZ a little, except it was on a golf course. We got hosed by sprinklers that reached the far end of the wooden gazebo/patio. Service was friendly and they served us after last call because we were with cute boys. Overall, a nice experience, but I wouldn't go there again unless I *had* to.

What can i say about knickers.....hmmmmm!!!! For a sports bar, this place could use some plasmas. I know plasmas cost a little, but I mean c'mon people, it is 2007. The food was decent for bar food. I did have the pork ribs one night, and those were tasty. It has a really nice patio area that you can enjoy with views of the 18th green. Oh yeah, and the ducks, well they are friendly as well. The service was friendly and the drinks, well they were inexpensive. (then again, i do live in San Francisco where a Beer is usually $5 bucks.) If this place invested in a couple of Plasma TV's, i think it could do a little better drawing more people.

Went to snow tube/ice skate at Heritage Hills and decided to stay for dinner. They have "fish bowl" drinks (yum!) and a turkey and brie sandwich that held its own. I was quite surprised at the large selection of menu items and good service. Only downfall was that I sank into the booth seats and could barely see above the table :(

Good atmosphere- sit on the patio, really a great experience- overlooking the golf course and the patio itself makes for a great experience. We were excited to try the place since we moved to the area. I was a little disappointed by the lack of staff experience and overall direction of the restaurant, expected the potential to carry it more, we both got omelets and, since we were one of the first people there that morning, were disappointed to wait 40 minutes. We had a few mimosas and a Bloody Mary (way too much horseradish; no bacon garnish as they tout) - my breakfast burrito also didn't have the major ingredient (beans) and we were given a different menu than those that came in behind us so we had to ask for a brunch menu (which looked much better than the breakfast menu we originally received.) Feel like I should say the food was still pretty good even though we both felt the price for the meals and drinks were both a bit high and gonna chalk it up to a meal that just didn't come together.

This place has really improved over the past year. While their food quality was always good, their customer service was a bit spotty for a while... but that appears to be in the past now. My past few visits have been outstanding in all ways!

We went for the shuffleboard and had a great time! We had the nacho dip which was delicious. Drinks were also great and the service was fast. Had a great time on a Saturday night!

One of my local favorites. Filet is always excellent. My wife loves the strawberry goat cheese salad. Son's favorite appetizer is the sesame asparagus. Delicious. Looking out over the course always makes me want to play. Great patio dining. Always hopping on the weekend.

A couple of weeks back we brought our out of town family here for a dinner on a late Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was not busy, and there was plenty of wait staff. The service was terrible! We had multiple waits for drinks, give our order, get mistakes they had made in our drink order recectified. Then finally after a minimum of 35-40 minutes, we got our food. The food was fine, but the frustration over the wait staff took our appetite away. The irony is I called the manager on Monday morning. Left a voicemail telling him of our experience, and never got a call back. Gee, they really care about their customers -- NOT!

I've had both the breakfast buffet and lunch here. Both were decent enough that I didn't walk away hungry, but wouldn't have been my first choice. Breakfast had some healthy options with yogurt and oatmeal, but the hot breakfast was lacking for me. The eggs were kinda dry and so I stuck with yogurt. Service was awesome and my waitress was running around at a bunch of tables but still got me anything I needed and was very efficient. I had lunch here twice and the first time I had the pulled pork pannini. That was actually pretty good and I ate the whole thing happily. I may be a bit biased though because I love pulled pork. The second time, I had the Knickers club. I was much less impressed with that one because it had 3 slices of bread total and I felt like that was too much. I ended up deconstructing my sandwich so that I didn't eat all that bread. Service at lunch was fantastic as well.

Dining Date: 2/8/14 for dinner. Went to Knickers with a group of 11 after a day of snow tubing. The staff did a great job getting us seated and accomodating the 5 kids in our group (ages 1-9). Drinks orders were promptly taken and served. Our appetizers came next. The Maryland Crab dip was good, but could have had more crabmeat. For my meal I ordered the Cuban Panini with sweet potato fries. The panini was excellent, and the fries were a good option over your standard french fries. Overall, I was pleased with the food and service, especially given the size of our group on a busy Saturday evening.

"Consistently good food, very good value for the price. We have not had a bad meal here after 15+ visits. Go upstairs for an even better dining experience in ironwoods."

Drinks were on the cheap side and service was attentive, but the journey from the back of the restaurant to the restrooms was frightening as I had to push my way through crowds of men in flap pocket embroidered jeans congregating near the shuffle board. The restrooms were pretty cool though. And they have crab chips. So one star for each of those.
