WOW where to begin! This is officially my first 5 out of 5 rating other reviews I posted are 4.5's rounded up. Ok finally a place in PA that knows how to make a real sandwich. I have high standards for a place like this and Deli of Italy exceeds my expectations not just because its in York PA but this place could thrive in the heavy competition in NY, NJ or Philly no problem at all. There sandwiches are real authentic italian hoagies made from the finest meats, oils and vegetables... please shut up, go in, order a Diablo and start stuffing your face. The sandwiches are so good that a next day take home refrigerated hoagie you know soggy roll and everything is still so delicious that I will lick the olive oil off the bottom of the take out box when done. The service is great they can help you with the menu if you have never been to a place that has the selection of meats they do. I would be careful of any hot sauces they are not fooling around here... might want to ask for that on the side they will give you the heads up in advance but thats need to know information for sure. I have ordered 3 of the speciality sandwiches and can't wait to try the next one. There is no bad pick thats why I didnt list them out it really doesnt matter. went in 2 weeks ago. talked to a heavy guy about a italian sub and what was on it. he explained and said yes capicola ham the works. i said i'll take it. the sub came in less than 2 minutes by another employee to go and i thought it felt light. took the sub to my girlfriends shop opened it up and we shook our heads. not what we expected. very light on the meat and " no capicola ham . i compare this to a rutters / weis sub. was not a $9.99 sub. disappointed.

Fresh deli food. We come here often for lunch and the food is always good. I suggest the chicken parm sub. It's a deli, not a pizza shop. Prices are fair. Support your local business and try something different. My fiancee consistently enjoys the eggplant parm sub as well.

Great deli find. The service was excellent and the staff was very knowledgable. We opted for two 12" subs which were worth the money. I ordered the Da Vinci which had melt in your mouth Italian meats and heavenly mozzarella. My boyfriend ordered the Pazzo Italiano which is classically wonderful. The deli had a decent atmosphere and will definitely be earning our repeat business.

I came here based on Yelp reviews and I entered a review for the previous location mentioning it was closed. The management promptly informed of the new address and we were able to stop in before my sister-in-law's wedding. I am so glad we checked out Deli of Italy! I was slightly skeptical since there was a lot of high praise and I am naturally skeptical, but I had a chance to look around and peruse the menu before someone came out of the back and greeted me. I like the Italian food items they had on display in the front for sale. The store is laid out well and is very clean with a warm color scheme and simple yet attractive decorations on the walls. I commented on the fact it was a nice looking place to the person making my sub and was told 'even the location we have been at for 10 years is the same -the place we moved out of if you go there looks just like this" I ordered without hesitation and noticed the sign that explained credit would not be available until September 6th and that it was cash only. I asked for my total so I could be sure that I could get a bottle of Boylan's Ginger ale and not go over (I only had $12 on me) I was under by 24 cents. I think the prices are great -our 12 inch Farfalle which is turkey with lettuce tomato and cheese with russian dressing was reasonable. I enjoyed the flavor so much I can't begin to explain. My wife and I both commented to each other how we love Russian Dressing and that it added something 'extra' to the sub. The toasted bread is crusty and they top it all off with parmesan cheese. I grabbed the Ginger ale since my wife likes ginger and I shared it with her. we ate in the car and even though it was dripping dressing I was able to remain clean for the wedding. I loved the flavor and the service was quick too which was especially helpful as I was acting as the wedding photographer. My wife mentioned the sandwich to me twice since our trip and asked if I would go back for more Deli of Italy food tonight -I think that says it all. The food is so good you will remember it days after you have eaten it! I want to try some entrees soon so You may see a re-review in the future. They do have delivery if you live in the area which a nice extra.
