As somewhat of a fried fish and mac-n-cheese aficionado, Alexander's is a disappointment. The two fish pieces appeared to be purchased frozen and the stewed tomatoes were extremely sweet. The mac was creamy and I enjoyed it. My waitress, Nicole, was friendly but not too excited about her work. The hostess, however, was a grouch who should not be working the front of the house. Not a good experience.

Horrible experience. Under new owners who have fired all of the old staff and went up on the prices. The waitress kept calling my step mother and myself "girls", while referring to the white customers as "ladies". Mind you she had to be all of 24 years old! It was disrespectful and when I asked her not to do that she got mad, gave an insincere apology and walked off. I usually tip 25%. I didn't tip anything today. The macaroni and cheese was disgusting and my flounder I asked to be fried and I received it broiled with no seasoning or flavor. They will NEVER see a dime of mines again.

Place, area, costumer service excellent Nice and cozy, access to parking very familiar place.

Very disappointed in the new Alexander's. Horribly limited breakfast menu, much more expensive, smaller portions and slower service. Had to listen to an employee complain about how it wasn't his job to seat customers that came in and another family left because their food never made it out to them and they got tired of waiting. We had to hunt down our server for water refills more than once. We won't be back.

Me and my fiancé would go here with some of his co workers for breakfast at least 2 times a week. Great place, great service, great food and not expensive!

Food is good and prices are affordable. I have eaten here many times. I recently changed my eating to vegan. I do not eat eggs or meat, or milk products. I went here with my family for breakfast and asked the waitress if I could get home fries with sauteed spinach and mushrooms since all of these are on the menu in some form of omelette. I was flat out told " No" and she never even checked with the cooks. I will not be back since the are not very accommodating to people with different dietary needs.

I like Alexander's a lot for breakfast/Brunch. It's super inexpensive and it's fast. Not to mention its always delicious. They have a lot of seating but that's only because the tables are pretty close together. But it's not that big of a deal especially during the week when it's less busy and mainly occupied by older people who just want to enjoy their breakfast.

I wanted to go out for breakfast, but have been having a hard time in the satisfaction dept. in York when my wife chooses. I went to a place that used to have good breakfast on King st, but they have closed for business. My wife suggested Alexander's since it is close by and we have eaten dinner there before. We arrived and the lot was mostly full, but we found a space near the entrance anyway. we were seated very promptly and our drink order was brought to the table while my wife was in the bathroom. I chose Ranch style eggs and my wife ordered eggs and homefries with a side of French toast. I also noticed scrapple on the menu and chose a side of that. The food came much quicker than I expected and looked tasty, I began to eat and was overall satisfied, my wifes French toast was a little eggier than it should have been, but a decent breakfast and the prices are reasonable too. We will return based on the high service level and better than average food.

I have enjoyed Alexander's for many years. They are great for a nice, cheap breakfast. Two can dine and get full easily here for under $15. The service is fast and attentive. There is plenty of seating. The parking lot is decent-sized. Plus, it's easily located right down the street from the York Fairgrounds.
