I had dinner here two days ago and was surprised to come to Yelp and see such positive reviews. I ordered the General Tsos chicken and the lady that worked there (whom was probably the owner) was extremely nice. The service was very good. However the food was terrible. You can tell the oil they were using to cook the chicken was way past it's due date, to the point where it made me sick. This is unacceptable, absolutely unacceptable. Even the next day I was burping up this disgustingly old oil. We just moved into the area and were looking for good chinese restaurants. This is definitely not the place for us. We found Golden China Restaurant right around the corner to be absolutely delicious, we will never go back to this place so it's been Xed off our list.

The food there was not that great, the waitress was slow, tentative and a bit of a simpleton! I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody in the area I would definitely suggest 21 kitchen only a few miles away.....

Not my favorite in the area, I think there a few places that are better but they were the ONLY place open on Easter so it worked for me.

My wife, Mother in law, and I just ate here last week and all I can say is, "Why don't we come her more often." The owners little boys are quite the friendly greeters, saying hello and being so polite and cute. They do a lot of take out, but I like to sit in their dining room and get the food right from the kitchen. The soup and pot of tea warmed me up very nicely and the meal was delicious. I love their home made hot mustard for the eggrolls, but be careful the first bite takes your breath away. The noodles and duck sauce on the table tastes homemade too. We ate through one bowl of crispy noodles and the owner gave us another. This is a family business and they treat you like family. I had Worshu Duck which was crispy and tender. My wife had lo mein and it had generous amounts of meat and veggies. My mother in law had eggplant and asked for it to be done spicy and added chicken. No problem, they made it exactly as she likes it! I had a stressful day and it was just so relaxing to eat here and be taken care of so kindly.

We order take out from Golden Fountain almost every week. The food is delicious and consistent, the portions are generous and the owners are super friendly. The sesame chicken is the best I've ever had with big pieces of quality white meat. Definitely the best Chinese food around, by far!

We are long time fans of Gold Fountain. Mostly we do takeaway. We love the family atmosphere. Owner/operators always recognize us and call us by name--really nice these days. have eaten Chinese all over the States (include several Chinatowns) and know that we can't go wrong here. Never had anything I didn't enjoy. They will recommend something unusual if you dare. They can also tell you what is gluten-free. Love the hot and sour soup--I have never had better anywhere. Highly recommend for many reasons! If you haven't tried it, you should.

I'm a semi fan. Definitely the tastiest chinese in Yardley/Lower Makefield area. Stick to the basics like Chicken with Broccoli. I've had a lot of hot and sour soup --surprisingly balanced flavors with nice slices of pork and tofu. The owners are awfully nice.

This is the Chinese food I grew up with and it still satisfies, kind of cool to see the same family keep it running all these years. Beef broccoli, Pork lo mein, and eggrolls are all top notch. I eat in infrequently but the dining room is nice and the staff are very friendly. Absolutely worth a try

Gold Fountain II Restaurant sits in the strip with McCaffery's Supermarket in Lower Makefield. It has a nice facility, with more room than many other Chinese shops. The tables are spaced far enough apart for some privacy. The owners are pleasant and helpful. The menu is the traditional Chinese American fare with little creativity beyond that. Still, if you like this style hybridized cuisine (and many do), this place is as good as the others in the area. For better, you would have to go to a city, or into Jersey to Shanghai Bun or Szechuan House, which are both more authentically Chinese. We ordered an app of Fried Pork Dumplings, and they were good. They may have been deep fried rather than pan fried, and the extra oil was noticeable but did not detract from the overall good taste. The entres were from the Chef's Specials Menu; Sesame Chicken and Orange Beef. Both came with complementary bowls of soup. The Hot and Sour Soup had too much vinegar for my taste, and was not so good. The Sesame Chicken was plentiful and the thick gooey sauce captured the big pieces of chicken like they were encased in amber. The taste was what we expected, but some of the chicken seemed dry from overcooking or deep freezing. The Orange Beef was better, with plenty of thin sliced and coated beef and a thinner sauce that allowed the texture of the beef to dominate. Both of us liked it better than the chicken. Both presentations were surrounded by Broccoli Spears in the customary way. So wish someone had a better concept of how to finish off garnishing multiple plates that did not demand broccoli on everything. How much of that stuff can you eat? Overall, Gold Fountain II was a run of the mill Chinois house, with the usual suspects on the menu. As that is what most people want, there is no disappointment. The quality is middle of the road; neither better nor worse than the local competition. If I was asked to compare with its nearest competition, A Little Dragon, on the other side of this building, I would say that they are very similar, but based on what I have tried, the edge goes to the Dragon.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
