Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Great family restaurant. The waitress we had was probably the friendliest and most helpful and professional in the valley. Excellent food it all seems to be made on the premises. Had the Fettucine Carbonara, and the noodles were hand made. The wide desert menu was also all locally fresh made. They lose one star because of the family-diner decor and wobbly table, but overall I think it was a great experience, and we'll be back for more. Definitely check them out.

Brought some clients here for lunch as they chose the establishment. Ordered the lasagna which came with a small salad. The salad was fresh but came with bottled dressing. Lasagna was good but very small. It also came with two small meatballs (which was not listed on the menu). The meatballs seamed homemade but were very tough and I needed a knife to cut them. Service was a bit inattentive considering the place had only two other occupied tables. On a side note the bathroom was filthy with mildew on the sink caulking.

This place doesn't have a fancy atmosphere, but the food was Ahhmazing! The house italian dressing was superb, and the bread was good. I dipped my bread in my dressing, it was so good. We had the homemade baked manicotti. I was stuffed but wanted to finish it because the sauces were delicious. The portions were big. We also had pasta puttanesca with olives and capers, which was perfectly spiced and well balanced. An old time italian family place with homemade food. Recommended!

Last night I had the Baked Manicotti and it was to die for! However, I waited so long for my food, that I could have actually died at the table and festered for 10 minutes before staff would have noticed. I don't know if the cook quit or if Grandma Marianacci was in the back personally preparing each meal, but it definitely should not have taken 2 hours to receive our food on a week night with only 2 other small tables to wait on. Not the best in the Valley, but not the worst either. Definitely not the best though.

Food was awful, sauce bitter. Sat us right next to ladies room and I mean right next. Waitress was rude and owner went around to tables and skipped ours because I guess we weren't regulars. Never ever again!

It's true this a real family owned cozy little place, looks like a diner when you walk in. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and French onion soup and enjoyed both of them. The service wasn't bad either. And a plus for me is that they have decent sweet ice tea. It's so hard to find a restaurant with sweet ice tea anywhere.

I suppose all things are relative, but as someone from Chicago visiting the area for work I was not able to enjoy the restaurant - not one bit. I apologize to the other reviewers who believe this is high quality Italian food, but this restaurant would not be acceptable at all if it were in my city or the surrounding suburbs. The sauce and meat were all very bland and microwave dinner quality. It pains me to have to submit a poor review, but I was fooled into going to this restaurant by high reviews. I can only hope that I can prevent someone visiting from out of town from ruining dinner for themselves and coworkers by offering a different viewpoint.

The food is always good, I've been here periodically over the past few years and they're very consistent, and they have nice specials. If you want Italian food in a cozy environment this is the place to go. Its family owned and operated and I appreciate. .

Delicious! Their cappelletti soup is a must try! I've also really enjoyed their lasagna, ravioli, and chicken franchese. It's not cheap, but the cost is worth it!

Everything about Marianacci's was fantastic! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great; it really is a family restaurant. The owner even came over to personally say hello to us. I look forward to going back!

Great old school Italian, they also have awesome pizza. They have clams and steak nights and sometime I want to try the polenta special served on a wooden board.

We came here with a large party--both kids and adults. They were beyond nice and incredibly accomodating. The food was way above our expectations. I had the eggplant parmigiana and it was really, really good. So fresh. My friend had homemade spinach ravioli that were delish. Another friend had Fettucine Alfredo and it was also really good. All of the food is homemade and it tastes it. A great surprise!

A true family owned and operated restaurant. Everything is prepared fresh and home made, nothing from a box! It's a great little place, with the old style decor(orange formica tabletops), nothing fancy. The added side room is nice for large groups or private parties. I love the chicken sciampi and the pizza. LOVE the bruschetta! Salads are basic. Main courses are very generous servings, we always end up taking home left overs. They do nice menu's for Mother's Day and New Year's Eve. Make your reservations early. You really can't go wrong with anything here...when in doubt order the specials!

The service is abysmal. i have no idea what the food tastes like because we left before the main course was served, two hours after we arrived. The waiter should be serving food on Rikers Island, to the inmates.

Best Eggplant Parm in the Wyoming Valley. Worth the trip. A "mom and pop" place with the personal family touch - and pride. ONLY place in the area my wife will eat other than her own kitchen.
