We use La Prima Catering for business meetings at my office. The staff is nice, the Delivery people are nice. They have good food and will make you anything you want. The catering menu is just a guideline. They have a variety of food sure to please most pallets and are very clean and professional in presentation. Also, they always make their delivery window. They are on the list of preferred Caterers we use.

I had a disappointing lunch delivered today. It was basically a sandwich/wrap tray with chips, salad, dessert and 2-liter drinks. The bread and the wraps were soggy as if they were made the day before. Furthermore, the cheese had melted in a standing around way, not in a toasted manner. I guess it could have been made that morning, but it was too far in advance to deliver a proper product. With all of the good reviews, I had expected better. In comparison, sandwiches from Wawa come fresh baked bread these days.

I have worked with La Prima for two different events at my home. I'm happy with both their food and their service. I will use them again!

LaPrima Catering catered our wedding. Karen Gollard, Joe (chef) and Vickie (server) were amazing. Karen expertly help us select the menu that would satisfy a diverse group of eaters - vegan, vegetarian and meat eaters!. The wedding was held at our home and Karen stopped by before the ceremony to make sure everything we needed had been considered. Joe and Vickie arrived and took control of the kitchen and expertly created a beautiful array of delicious food. Vickie seemed to be everywhere -- making sure the guests were taken care of and fed. Joe and Vickie were simply amazing and really handled everything from prep to clean up. I highly recommend LaPrima

La Prima catered a conference I attended held at the PECO Building in Center City Philadelphia. The theme of the conference was "Green Technology" so the caterer had to also be "green" - and La Prima is. They use compostable plates, cutlery, paper goods etc and use foods from local CSAs and farms. Meanwhile - how was the food? It was Good to Great! Pasta was served hot (not lukewarm) and chicken was delcious and not dried out. (Food was a buffet in chafing dishes which can be hit or miss). Servers were friendly and helpful. Very well run catering with tasty food that is locally (when possible) produced and prepared well. Yay!

La Prima catering catered our wedding in May. We worked with Karen and she did an amazing job. It was tough planning a wedding in PA from Tennessee but Karen was so hands on and helpful that she took a lot of the pressure off of me. She molded a workable menu for us based on my ideas, and she helped plan dishes for our vegetarian and vegan guests. Not only was the food fantastic the staff were friendly and professional. The bartenders made my specialty cocktails perfectly. I would highly recommend La Prima catering!

Their food is incredible; both delicious and beautifully presented. They were also lovely servers. And they did great clean-up afterwards (this was in a private home).

The 2nd day of training, we were given a hot lunch! Yay-uh! La Prima Catering brought in some calzones, some very interesting and different calzones with caesar salad. The various calzones that were provided were: - Cappicola ham and pepperocini - Philadelphia cheese steak with shaved steak, provolone, American cheese and grilled onions - Italian herb chicken - Sautéed spinach and feta cheese The calzones were nicely cooked (had a nice brown color). The bread was light. I tried the Philadelphia cheese steak since I was in Philly. There was enough meat in there (they weren't being cheap with too little meat, but they did not overload the calzone with meat either). All the flavors worked well together. The sauce was fine, too -- nothing spectacular, but it was good. I just wish it were hot, but they can only do so much, right? They brought the valzones and had burners under them to keep the calzones warm, but the sauce was in a container, so it was not hot. (at least the calzones were warm) La Prima had a sign which identified what type of calzone each was by using a different colored toothpicks. Very organized and clever. The caesar salad dressing was nice, too. It was creamy and flavorful. Can I try some of the other foods, please? Delish!!
