Starbucks reflects the recent commercialism of Williamsport. I've lived here in "Billtown" for over 40 years now. The coffee is ok by Starbucks standard, if you haven't yet visited Griggs coffee (this shop was in central williamsport for almost 100 years - but moved to Route 87 - Montoursville (outskirts of Williamsport) Starbucks here used to be a Donut shop - so it has been frequented for over 20 years If you're tired of paying the rediculous prices for sluggish service, head on over to Griggs for the real small town delicious cup of Java.

This is probably the quietest Starbucks I've ever been to. Ideal if you are trying to get some work done but don't need to be on the phone (you can still hear machines!). Very clean, and nice layout with lots of places to plug in the laptop. Great customer service and perfect drinks. Couldn't ask for more!

Ive been here several times it is a an ok Starbucks staff is friendly and is pretty quick about getting orders done. It is small so if want a seat I would make sure you get there before the crowds. The place is clean including the bathrooms so that is a plus. My recommendation is head two minutes down the road to Albaster Coffee it is bigger and has better coffee.

Always happy when I know a Starbucks is nearby! Everyone is always hating Starbucks bc of the price, it's not outrageous and you pay for quality. I've been to several of the local coffees shops in many towns and I still come back to Starbucks. I think it's because the drinks actually taste like they have espresso in them! Not just cream with a shot of coffee! Other places are just wayyy too sweet for me! I can customize my drink any way I want and I honestly have never had a bad drink here and I go weekly. I try to change up my drinks, right now I'm drinking a skinny raspberry mocha. My other favorites are the iced green tea latte w/xtra matcha, soy chai tea latte, iced raspberry green tea, love the caramel flan latte, iced black tea with 2 pumps chai, iced cafe Americano, java chip frappuccino, pumpkin spice latte, the list goes on! This place is pretty busy, they should open another one in the town! The next starbucks is in Target by the Lycoming mall.

I don't even know where to start at. I guess I will start with the good. The employees are very, very nice. They do know and remember their "regulars" too. This review is nothing against the employees, they do a good job. Secondly, of course Starbucks Coffee is good. The best way to review this Starbucks (which includes a majority of other Starbucks too) is to just describe a normal morning of buying a cup of coffee from this Starbucks. I drive into the parking lot and look around. If I see anyone pulling in or walking toward the store, I quickly park and run out of my car and try to beat everyone into the store. Even if this means diving through the door or rudely shutting the door on people behind me. The reason being, because that one person could well no... That one (or multiple) person/ people will be one of "those" normal Starbuck's customers. So after the fierce entry I come to a halt behind a line of people. Let me take you through each customer at Starbucks. The first person in line is ordering some ridiculous, complicated, calorie ridden, unreasonably sized Frappuccino which you know is going to take the Barista an hour to make. Then comes the second customer who orders a sandwich or a pastry (that they have to get warmed). So now the employee working the register has to stop what they are doing and put the food into the toaster oven. After they do that, they then serve the next customer. They start taking that order and... oh wait... Now the toaster oven is beeping and the register employee has to stop what they are doing, get the warmed pastry out of the toaster oven, put it in the bag and yell the name of the customer three times because they have somehow forgotten that they HAD to get their pastry warmed. They get back to the last order and continue onto the next customer. The next customer orders his drink and now has to spend 3 minutes trying to find the Starbucks Card App on his Smartphone. After getting the bar code up on their phone, the line of people now have to wait until the register employee puts the scanner at every possible direction to get it to scan. Ok we get past that customer... Oh no... Now we all find out that that person doesn't have enough money on his card and owes .39 cents. There is another minute trying to scarf up the change needed. After getting through that customer, you now have the customer who thinks going to Starbucks twice a week entitles him/her to "a regular." The register employee now explains how they should know their name by now but forgets. The customer instantly gets insulted and makes the register employee go through the list of every common name until 1. They out of luck say the right name or 2. The customer finally just tells them their name. Now comes the next customer who is angry that their normal breakfast sandwich isn't displayed in the pastry window. They then him-haw through every other sandwich choice until they decide they just want a bagel. Normally it is about 15 minutes by now and there is no way to get a latte and be on time to work. I am so stressed out by this point that I just result to a simple order for a Veranda Blend Coffee. On another subject, I have a lot of friends that are of different religion, race, ethnicity etc. Diversity is great. I love diversity, but to be writing politics on my cup of coffee now? My coffee is the one thing that I look forward to and keeps me happy in the morning. Starbucks makes sure to start my day off stressful and keeps inventing more ways to make it continue to be a stressful experience. Anymore, I've just resulted to a mediocre Keurig brewed cup of coffee.

Why do I struggle with consistent service at Starbucks? Today I ordered a venti iced coffee, black. This means they simply need to pour coffee and add ice. No brewing, no mixing, no flavoring. Now, I did have several people in front of me getting lattes and what not, but after about 5 minutes of waiting I looked at the coffee area and saw my drink poured, waiting for ice. I asked the barista if she could add ice so I could be on my way, and she told me she isn't supposed to release drinks out of order. In theory that makes sense, but when the barista is standing there complaining about how long her shift is and how she can't wait to be done working, you'd think perhaps a bit of common sense and courtesy would kick in, I.e. Add ice to my drink that is just sitting there while the drink before me was waiting on espresso to be brewed. What's more frustrating was that there was two other employees behind the counter, one making drinks, one taking orders and the third apparently stocking whipped cream. Now I'm sure this is an important task, but when you have a long line of customers you'd think the second person would pitch in to help and work on the stocking a bit later. This place could use some quality management and better customer service training.

No place to relax and enjoy your drink. The place is the size of a postage stamp. Coffee, while good, was medium warm. Panera within site of Starbucks will get my business in the future. A couple of plus marks included fast service and smiles from all employees. Just plan to drink your coffee in your vehicle.

Starbucks! Yep I stop at them all over the country.... consistent coffee. But I also love the local rosters or shops and Williamsport has a few, Alabaster is a great example in the port.

This is the worst Starbucks I've ever been too...by far. They take their god damn time...expect to wait 20 minutes for a drink. Not to mention the customers all seem to have never been to a Starbucks before when ordering....I just saw the Barista hold up cups to a customer to show him the size differences...oh and there are 3 ppl working but only one making drinks- there are literally 8 empty cups and no one in line at the register and the other two are just chatting it up. Blek I wish I liked Dunkin Donuts coffee

Williamsport PA: I don't care for the layout. It's like being at summer camp. No privacy for quiet conversation, study, etc. Some of the "regulars" kind of take over the place and are too loud, talking to people several feet away. Some young parents come in with very small children and allow them to play with the merchandise at the counter while ordering (the current generation of parents of young children seems to be afraid to say no to their children!). Coffee and desserts are decent. Wifi is Google Starbucks and is fast (used to be slow AT&T).

I have been to many Starbucks, up and down the east coast. This is the friendliest. I love it here. I am not sure why bad reviews posted about the prices - pretty much the same at every Starbucks- if you don't want to pay their prices, go somewhere else. As for slow service, HELLO ... they are making each drink by hand. It takes a few minutes. Jeesh, go to McDonalds - cheap, fast, & awful.

So the coffee is decent, the prices are ridiculous, and the inside looks like the stuff that Ikea had pulled the plug on escaped and came to Starbucks. I have been to Starbucks in other towns, and this one is horrible. Bad location for starters, there's no hustle and bustle of town foot traffic, only the constant we-wish-we-were-a-big-city highway traffic buzzing by. Wendi's right about the slow, torturous, tortoiselike service. She's spot-on about the exorbitant prices. She is absolutely correct about Starbucks needing more employees during swings. And having to wait more than five minutes?! Hunnie, time your next stop at McDonalds and let me know how that went for you. Now Leesburg and Williamsport might have a few things in common: Starbucks, A Trolley Service, minutes from an Airport (even if RIA and Dulles are NOTHING like IPT), but that's were the similarities stop. So you want hip, well the further you get from Georgetown, the less "hip" places will get. I wish people would stop trying to change Williamsport to make it more like what's wrong with this country. Corporate Compartmentalism. Anyways, the basic gist here is, when you go to Starbucks, you aren't buying coffee. You are buying a brand, and if you want to be loyal to a sterile, corporate, bottom-line driven kind of establishment, then Starbucks is for you! But if you're one of the countless intelligent and educated people that, strange as it sounds, have been found in abundance even amidst the "flannel shirts, mullets, and scruffy facial hair", then Starbucks is definitely NOT for you. Coffee 3/5 Ambience 1/5 Value 1/5
