Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Love the pineapple shrimp curry. So yummy and so much shrimp! I've also ordered some of the Chinese dishes and enjoyed them as well. You really can't beat the price for the amount of food you get. Staff is always super friendly and attentive. The dining room is usually pretty empty since a lot of people order takeout instead, so don't let that discourage you.

Menu is mostly Chinese. Not bad but I have authentic Thai before this isn't close to it.

Exterior looks shabby but inside its quite nice. The food was great they made it as spicy as I wanted an they gave me free orange slices after to top it all off. I'm definitely coming back again to try more things from their menu.
(5)Jim B.
Place is ok...the coconut soup was drowning in some type of spicy oil. Yes it should be spicy but this looked like overkill. They do not serve brown rice. Not upscale but not a hole in the wall either. They do have ample seating in the restaurant.
(3)Tara S.
All of their food is excellent. I recommend it to anyone that is looking for Asian cuisine, this is the place to go.

If you are traveling, this place is perfect! Conveniently-located and all-around great place. Jasmine has really delicious Thai food. I commute between Philly and Buffalo every couple of months, and I *always* stop here for food. The portions are large, the flavor is good, dishes are prepared quickly, and the staff is friendly. I must confess that I only ever get fresh rolls (aka spring rolls) and pad Thai, but I'm totally hooked! Kind of funny to be a regular, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
(4)Ly L.
I like their Pineapple Chicken Fried Rice, Mongolian Beef. Try the Mango Sticky Rice if u like coconut ;)
(4)Brandon Z.
I've had a couple of meals here, and everything was delicious. We decided to go with the standard Thai offerings, with the one soup, dumplings, and their Pad Thai. All of them were really good, with the soup being very spicy but with a lot of unique and interesting flavors (and a huge shrimp), the dumplings being very tasty with a great dipping sauce, and the Pad Thai being an excellent example of the dish. I've eaten in store and gotten take out, and each way the food has been equally yummy. The people working here are very nice, and while the place looks a little run down, it does have very convenient parking. Overall, I'd recommend this place, and I just wish that I got around to eating here more often.

Used to be a GREAT place to eat and for take-out. Got take out of green curry, seafood soup, & chicken w/egg plant. I couldn't believe how bad it all was. Maybe they're breaking in a new cook but I won't go back again.

Thai seafood soup: summed up in one word, Pathetic! I ordered a large for 8 bucks. It was literally broth with 3 shrimp, and 2 tough, questionable calamari. That's it. I got it for takeout and when I saw it when I got home I was shocked and upset. It was my fourth time going to this restaurant and I always try something different, wanting to give them a chance, but this was the final straw. I'm done with this place.

This is probably my favorite place to eat in all of Williamsport. The food is so good, and the service is wonderful. Betty always remembers her customers, as well as what they order, it is really amazing! On the Thai menu the Mee Ga Ti is delicious, on the Chinese side, I prefer the hunan style varieties. All the menu items I have tried have always been good, and fresh. Another plus is that whether you are ordering take-out, or sitting in the dining room the food comes FAST (under 10 minutes from placing your call, or sitting down)! It is probably the best place to grab a quick lunch if you only have a half hour away from work. Her daughters are talkative, but sweet. Sometimes they help out their mom fill waters in the dining room. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
(5)Pam H.
Excellent food and wait staff. Tom yum was yummy and if Pad Thai is the litmus test then Jasmine passed with flying colors! We went on a Sunday for lunch and the place was filling up quickly do others must like it a lot like we did. A go-back-to place for sure.
(5)Chris K.
Good quality food. The owner has an amazing memory. She remembers me even when it has been months between visits. The only odd thing is that the owner's young daughters (one is definitely less than 10) work there.
(3)Doug C.
While the food was quite good, I will most remember Jasmine's for the sweet family that operates it. They were genuinely interested in every one of their customers. To the food... I tried the Hot and Sour Soup, which was tasty as well as nice and spicy, albeit a little less thick than I prefer. On to the Chicken Satay, which amounted to 4 huge skewers of grilled and tender chicken with a sweet, gritty peanut sauce. One of the better Satays I have tried. I also tried the Pineapple Coconut Fried Rice, which was just ok. The food was prepared quickly (Sunday evening), and was served piping hot. The service was exceptional from start to finish.

We decided on thai for lunch when we were in the area. We were seated once we came in and given menus and and adequate time to look over the menu. They serve both chinese and thai food at Jasmine. There are several other chinese restaurants in the area, but no other thai that I know of. We settled on Cashew chicken (8.95) and Mee Ga Thi (8.95) for our lunch courses, along with Tom Yum soup (3.50) for our appetizer. The food was delivered and we ate, it tasted fairly fresh, I couldn't complain, our total bill came to about 20 dollars. The coolest thing was that the waitress kept our daughter entertained and took her around and played with her while we ate. That's a plus in my book. Open Mon-Thurs 11a-10:30p, Fri-Sat 11a-11:30pm, Sun 12 noon-10p, private parking, accepts cash visa and mastercard.note: this is actually called "Jasmine" Yelp hasn't updated the edited info I submitted.

some of the best Thai and Chinese food we have ever had anywhere and that includes some big cities. Very friendly owners, family setting, low prices. my family often includes requests for us to bring some Thai with us when we visit. I love the Phad Thai and the salmon dish as well as the green salad with peanut sauce. my wife loves the shrimp in black bean sauce or one of the curry dishes. the mango shrimp, beef, or chicken is also wonderful. we have been going there for over 12 years now. Ken

The massaman curry is heavenly--best I've had anywhere. Mango shrimp and shrimp and calamari in black bean sauce are both amazing. Portions are large and owners care about the customers.
(5)Kyle S.
Great food, really good people. Definitely the best Chinese in town and one of the better Thia places I have ever been. The thing I love the best is that they will know and remember you after just a few visits. I try to go there with my dad ever time he come into town. Try their wanton and egg drop soup mix, best ever.
(5)Marcy B.
Love this restaurant! Always a great meal! The mango chicken and mango shrimp are amazing! Try the spring rolls, you won't be disappointed.
(5)Zak S.
This is the only local Thai restaurant in my area, so I really have nothing to compare it too. Instead of the storefront, which is a little shitty, the food is amazing - when I say food, I mean the Mango Chicken which comes served in a halved mango shell overflowing with bamboo shoots, tender chicken strips, various fried vegetation, in a mango sauce, served with a side of white rice and Thai iced tea, which is one of my new favorite beverages. It never occured to me that I love Pad Thai from the "A Taste of Thai" instant meal boxes and that I can get it at the Pineapple Grill...that will be my new favorite for sure.

Don't be fouled be the exterior of the building, it could us some curb apple. But when you get inside they have a romantic ambiance. The service is good! The food arrives fast and hot. The portions are large. The prices are a good value for the size of the portions. We also get thier take out. The food is just a good and the portions are a good value.
