We initially planned on going to Griddle 145 but because they're closed on Monday we decided to come here instead. We were seated a few minutes after we arrived at a window booth facing the road. I like diners with large windows and being that it was a sunny Monday morning, there was ample sunlight coming in, which is always a plus. Our server, a middle-aged woman, was very friendly and checked on us every five minutes to see if we were enjoying our meal. It was close to noon and there was constant traffic in and out of the restaurant so it must be a popular place. Overall a good experience!

Although the food was good, our server was anything *but* (we ate lunch there on a Sunday in 3/07). That seemed to be typical, since we kept seeing a few servers standing around. The manager (or perhaps he was the owner) was very pleasant and he tried to make up for our server's inattentiveness (truthfully, she was also rather brusque), but it became annoying to keep having to waylay him (our server was hardly ever in view, and she didn't seem interested in anything but taking our order & bringing the food out).

Came here for a late dinner with some friends after a hockey game. Typical Greek diner fare with a slightly smaller menu than the norm. I ordered a chicken caesar wrap which came out with fries and was tasty. The service was good and I have nothing bad to say.

Hands down the worst diner experience I've ever had. It actually became a joke for my family and I as one bad experience after another kept occurring. So, six of us go out for an Easter lunch. The place was busy, but they had seating available immediately. Apparently, when they laid out the seating, they miscalculated, because out booth was right next to the entrance to the bathroom, so they pushed the booth together closer. Now I'm 6'3, so I'm used to accidentally stepping on the feet of the person across from me, but I measured the space of the seats across from each other... 15 inches. Even my 11 year old son was bumping knees across from my 5'3 mother. We aren't ones to complain, and they are busy, so we suck it up and we all sit slightly sideways. Our waiter arrives, and mumbles something... we all ask him what he says more than once, and he takes our drink order. 2 sodas, 1 coffee, 3 waters. Five minutes later, 3 coffees, 2 waters, and 2 sodas arrive. We correct him, he laughs, and takes two coffees away - never bringing the other water until our food comes (when we remind him). Looking over the menu, as a very flexible vegan, I find nothing I can eat other than french fries or a side salad. I figured they'd at least have a veggie burger as almost every diner has this. Nope. So I order a large salad with no meat or cheese. When our food arrives, he brings me a small side salad with 95% iceburg lettuce. He tells me how a large salad would cost me more, I explain how that would be fine, but he seems annoyed at being corrected for the second time. I sigh, and say, I'll just have this. The food - there was a long white hair on my son's pickle, my mother asked for gravy on the side - her food came smothered in it, and no one received any refills on drinks. Never saw the waiter again until the check arrived. After joking to my parents how diners are consistently "ok" for dining, usually a 3-4 star time, this was hands down and saying how this is the worst diner experience I've ever had, I excuse myself to the bathroom. After doing my business, I slip and have to catch myself on the sink so I don't completely fall and hit the floor. My family wonders why I walk out of the bathroom laughing and I tell them how the whole experience just got worse. The whole thing was a comedy of errors. So... the good news is, the best part about dining at the Whitehall Diner... there's a wawa across the street where for $4 I got a sandwich that satisfied and filled me.

Came here after skiing at blue. We were six arriving at around 9pm and very hungry. Got seated right away and waiter was super friendly. Overall a good experience: Pros: - a lot of selection on menu - open late and good service Cons: - some items unavailable on menu (probably difficult to keep everything they advertise in stock) - can have slow service although very polite

One of my favorite local haunts. Always a good selection and service is always great . I eat here frequently and never regret it. I am A little Bummed that they are no longer open 24 hours. :(

My family was in an unfamiliar town celebrating the success of my nephews winning goal playing in the Nazareth Hockey game. We are not from that area so of course I YELPED. This diner was crazy busy at 6pm Sat night but they have a huge seating area (with TV) to have u wait. Our party of 9, and other parties of 2, 3 and 5 before us were each seated within 15 minutes. Outstanding! The waitress was incredibly "on task" serving the kiddie table, separating checks, and serving delicious salads and burgers and other staple diner food to the tables so timely. Food was terrific, selections were substantial and prices were beyond reasonable! $6 for a great burger!!!!! Great selection for kiddie menu too. Def a must. Plus, it's a beautiful looking diner. Go!

For a diner its got some great charm. The waitresses are very friendly. I use to come here with my grandmother a lot and have always had a pleasant ecperience. The diner itself is clean with diner decor. The food is above average for diner food. If you're on MacArthur road skip the crappy city view diner and drive a bit down to the whitehall diner. You won't be sorry.

Nice diner and decent omelette but they will not be seeing me again. Good size chili omelette. Comes with salsa & sour cream, but good luck finding them. And if you ask for a 2nd salsa in place of sour cream, you'll get neither. My deal breaker is no substitutions. I've only ever encountered 2 places that would not let me sub a healthier option for the homefries, like a simple sliced tomato, & this is one of them. Diabetics should avoid this place like the plague. Bottom line, the only substitution that will happen here is another diner for this one.

Consistently good food and good prices. That's why parking sometimes is hard to find. I enjoy their SOS. Excellent fish dinners too. Being from Buffalo, I know my fish dinners.

Best diner in the area. I hit up the Whitehall Diner at least once a month and it's always an enjoyable experience. The food is always tasteful and cooked to order, the service is good and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Whether you're out late and craving appetizers or breakfast or just trying to think of somewhere to get dinner at, the Whitehall Diner has never disappointed me. 24 hour breakfast menu keeps this diner on the top of my local favorites.

Very solid 24-hour diner. Jalapeno cheddar cheese poppers were the bomb. Gooey cheese was oozing out of the poppers after the first bite. Mmmm. The smokehouse burger was also very good...packed with lettuce, tomato, and pickles and slathered with BBQ sauce. It normally comes with kettle-cooked chips, but you can get French fries for an extra $1 or so. Fries were very well-cooked...thick-cut and crispy on the outside. When we were at the register paying, I couldn't take my eyes off the homemade strawberry cheesecake sitting in the dessert case. I succumbed and bought a slice to go...It was one of the best last-minute decisions I ever made. Huge strawberries on top of a light, creamy cheesecake base. You won't miss the fact that there's no crust on it. All of their other cakes and pies looked delicious, too.

Sat down at counter, usually a reliable strategy for quick service. Totally and completely ignored for 20 minutes despite multiple attempts at eye contact with various hostesses and waitresses including the one serving the 2 guys right next to me and the hostess who brought a big breakfast plate out, set it down next to me, and walked around the counter to eat her breakfast. Have never seen anything like it. Used to be my favorite spot years ago when I lived here. What a disappointment. No excuse, wasn't that busy. Just pathetic.

Great homemade salad dressings, soups. Real mashed potatoes, fresh salad greens. Freshly baked warm bread with dinner. Good service. Only bad experiences have been with their prime rib. The waitress confirmed other people complain about it as well but it stays on the menu and doesn't improve. Everything else I have tried (breakfast, lunch and dinner) has been top notch.

I ask to substatute bacon for homefrys. The waitress gave me bacon. I sent it back. She then charged me extra for the homefrys. And she forgot my wholewheet toast I ordered.

My friend and I decided to get coffee and a snack after I got off work, so we decided to go to a diner and we knew the Whitehall Diner was 24 hours. Since I am a waitress myself I understand having late tables, so I try to be courteous to servers and not sit all night and not order anything. We both had coffee with some French fries and I decided to order tiramisu. I had looked at the dessert case and it looked good. And I get tiramisu everywhere so I know what it's supposed to look like. I was served a pile of mush on a plate. The first thing the waitress says is "don't worry it tastes good." I couldn't believe she would serve a table something that looked so unappetizing. So I asked her to remove it from the bill and apologized. She proceeded to yell at me saying that the tiramisu was fine and that she wouldn't remove it from the check. I told her I was surprised she would ever serve that to a table. I have been to the Whitehall diner many times with my family but the way this waitress yelled at me was so unprofessional and I won't be returning.

Beeing from Florida a dinner on every corner is a new concept to me. This one seems to be one of the better ones. Their cranberry chicken is awesome! Not a fan of the decor of the place but I'm told it's standard dinner decor. The place is clean and staff is friendly.

The anit-city view my friends and I frequented this place to get away from it all and just chill. They have really good diner food, and the prices are good (apparent by the amount of elderly folk here during the day). Open late.
