Diabetics at TGI Friday
If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.
Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:
Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

I used to love friendlies. been taking my family here for years. the changed their menu to the point I am paying for just our three drinks and leaving. Cost of 2 sodas and a kids drink 7 dollars. All they really have anymore is burgers you can get at Wendy's that taste better and salads. No need to go to friendlies.

We waited more than 10 minutes for water. Then we waited more than 30 minutes for our food, and it wasn't even crowded. We walked out. It was probably the 4th time we walked out of a Friendly's. This chain is notorious for bad service. I honestly don't know why we keep giving them chances. They always disappoint

Not good. The restaurant was empty yet it still took over 30 min to get our food! The OJ tasted like it had turned & was nothing but pulp, the eggs looked & tasted gross, the service was terrible. We won't be coming back to this location any time soon.

Boy... you feel like you're walking into a restaurant in its death throes here. There's no money for stocking all the stuff, or for decor, they're short-staffed with servers also assuming hosting duties and bussing their own tables. This is a family restaurant next to a huge mall! It should be teeming with tired shoppers who want to eat before they head home, and there were some, but there should have been more. What's up, Friendly's? It's a sin, really, because we had the most charming and pleasant waiter, a fellow with a shaved head and glasses who was as nice and accommodating as could be. I found myself hoping this great server would soon find himself a place worthy of his talents. He was helpful and patient when we struggled to choose our meals, and then the food came swiftly. He even got me a carb count on a dessert - he was spot on. And the place seemed clean, so it felt like people cared. But dear lord, this place needs help. Besides the ramshackle exterior with chipping paint and the dated decor, the establishment doesn't have regular stuff in stock. Veggie burger? Sorry. Sugar free ice cream? Yes, they still make it, but no, they didn't have it. And what we had was awful. My "fish and chips" (which were really just fries, not thick cut chips) was scary because while all of the fish pieces, when cut, were oozing with oil and a lot of unusual fluid, one piece was just downright bad - grey and chunky. My spouse's cheese sandwich was runny and funky with way too much butter. The weirdest was the cole slaw that came with my meal - it looked dry. I thought maybe it'd been spooned into the tiny bowl earlier so it'd be ready for serving, and the dressing had perhaps slid to the bottom... but no. It was just dry, and when smelled, revealed it was off and going bad. Come on, Friendly's, you were once the masters of affordable family dining punctuated by fun ice cream treats. Show this location a little love so people want to go there again. Make it look nice, have food in stock, train your chef on cooking technique and spotting spoilage. Can't fault your waitstaff, but sure want to slap the franchisee who let this place become the culinary skid row of MacArthur Boulevard.

ZERO STARS!!!! Walked into this establishment on Saturday night with my family and walked right out! For starters we were standing there for about 5 minutes before anyone even greeted us (mind you the place was almost empty) the "hostess" girl looked annoyed; perhaps it was because we were a large group of 9 or maybe it was because we are Latin. We are NOT ghetto or loud people but in the first 30 seconds of her talking to us as if she was doing US a favor to seat us, I told my husband to let's go that she was being rude and condescending. Her reply was "ok have a great night" in the most sarcastic tone ever. Attention store manager, if you read what the other reviewers say about your place, I think it's time you do something! No problem Friendlys, we ended up in Applebees and spent over $200, Don't go here!!!!!

I stopped here for lunch as I was passing through the area. My waitress was a sweet older lady and the food was typical of a chain restaurant - If you've ever been to a friendly's before you know exactly what to expect. Although the restaurant was quite dated with its tacky americana decor, it was clean nonetheless and I was able to get in and out with no problem.

WARNING!!! Just don't go here.... The waitress we had was so lovely and so nice. But everything else.... I mean... It was 5pm (DINNER TIME) and we were the ONLY ones there FOR OVER AN HOUR. That says A LOT, right there. Friendly's can't even invest money into changing the ugly carpet and booths. I wonder how much they spend on fresh food??? My food was on the same level as fast food, but a higher price. Disgusting We were there for over 2 hours. That's how slow the service was.
