Got their cheeseburger and gravy fries. Oh so yummy. Their burgers are huge, bring your appetite. Bradley there is good too. Great place.

I really want to dismiss this establishment as being racist, but seeing as how a black woman and an Asian woman have both given this place mediocre reviews, I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that only the servers on the specific day and time that I went are. That would be August 2, 2015 at around 8 am. Two of us entered, me being Asian, and one being black, and we stood there for at least 5 minutes looking absolutely stupid. It's a small place, so it's IMPOSSIBLE to miss us. We were pretty much ignored by all three servers who were present: Not a single "hello," "we'll be with you shortly," or even ANY F*CKING EYE CONTACT whatsoever. I mean, they literally walked right past us, 3 inches away, without any sort of acknowledgement that we were present. Like I said, it's a small place, and 3 waitresses are more than enough for the amount of people they can fit in there. I've worked at a diner for my first teen job. I know a busy restaurant when I see one and this one was as laid back as it gets, so let's not make any excuses for being unprofessional. Did not want to pull out the race card but it is what it is: Don't expect great service if you're 'ethnic' in a town called "White Haven." Might as well rename this place to "White Family Diner," eh?

Had some very fluffy pancakes with some nice butter. My side of home fries was quite delicious. My gf had the spaghetti which was a little on the watery side. Quick service with a small town diner feel. Saw a guy at the next table have a massive burger that looked good. Ca$h only!

Just a good ol' fashioned family diner. Authentic food, attentive staff, and still affordable. We had lunch for 5 people and our bill was $32! What?! It's a family favorite, we've been going to this place my entire life and I'll never tire of it.

Loved it! Loved the decor, the prices were cheap and the food was good. I had a cheeseburger and they brought out the largest burger I think I've ever had and it was good! My father had the chicken salad club, which was also huge! I really didn't need them, but I got a side order of fries. Yes, the portion was large. However, I did not like the fries at all. Sorry, but they were probably some of the worst french fries I've had. Bland, lacked flavor and just seemed like they needed to be cooked a few more minutes. I recommend bypassing them, but it didn't ruin the visit. The bill was 12.57 after tax. Can't beat that. I look forward to coming back next time I'm in the area.

Years back this was a highlight of hunting camp. They no longer do dinner and are mainly a breakfast place. I stop here every year after camp and each year the wait staff get more miserable. Cash only and is cheap for the amount of food you get. Really wish the servers would get back to showing that you are valued and not wasting their time.

Decent food, fair prices, typical homey diner. I had a Philadelphia cheesesteak with mushrooms and onions. I was surprised that the onions were raw , not cooked. Our server was friendly and attentive.

So freaking good. The omelette was plenty big with a side of hash browns that were soft and buttery. Atmosphere is classic breakfast diner feel. Open 6am to 3pm everyday with breakfast served until 2pm as of this posting date. Great spot for a good breakfast or lunch with speedy service, great portions, low prices, and classic (not forced) diner atmosphere.

I've been there many times food is always good, I would recommend a burger, it's huge, defiantly one of my favorite burger spots.

Love this place. The food is in great portions and is cheap. I always get a cheeseburger and fries (usually the gravy fries). Everything is good here. The food comes out pretty quick. They have always been busy when I have been here. The down side is that the hours are from 6 am until 3 pm and also that they only take cash.

Cool lil spot. Time has definitely stopped here for sure. I feel that this place hasn't been updated since the day it opened, but I like it. Service was great, so was the food, for a diner. People often mistake old for dirty. This place was very clean, immaculate. I would definitely stop back again. Cash only, I'm cool with that.

We've been going here for years. Great food. Great prices. A must stop for travelers. Get the hubcap burger. Open daily 0600-1500.

I loved everything about this place. Cheap, huge portions, good quality food, and great service. The place is obviously old but immaculate. I did not see a speck of dust anywhere. It's obvious they wipe down every surface. Our waitress was friendly and knew everyone that walked through the door. My husband and I shared a burger and fries and had plenty to eat. Some of the biggest portions I've ever seen. I wish I was in town long enough to go here more than once! I had a Dr. Pepper and both my husband and I agreed that it tasted like the Dr. Pepper we drank as a kid. It was different somehow and delicious! I can't wait to go back!

Great food, fast service- best option for a big breakfast in the area. Our only issue was the extremely weak coffee. We had to go to a gas station down the road afterwards to get a good cup. Would have been five stars if the coffee was stronger.

Can't get much better than this place. The prices are very reasonable, and you get decent amounts. I always go for the burgers. Staff is always super nice and service is fast. Gets busy sometimes and it's a small place so prepare to wait on busy days. Always a crowd though! My only reason for a four star is they only accept cash! Time for a credit card upgrade! Also, only open Til 3 :(

Had breakfast there for first time. Cool old school dinner vibe. Even down to the music from the tinny realistic speakers. Thought I was in a movie. Every dinner seen should be filmed there. Jody our waitress was great great prices and a good honest breakfast. Wish this was in philly. Loved it. Sorry I put no to private parking by accident. They do

Came here via Yelp search, based on my first visit 4/5 stars. Very affordable matched with generous portions. My group got a mix of breakfast and lunch, we were all satisfied except for our jealousy over our neighbors hamburger orders. The burger appears to be a think pancake of beef that pours over the side of the bun. My only complaint is my bacon strips weren't fresh, but I was a 12:45am arrival. It's worth detouring off route 475 for the food. I was also jealous of my neighbor's French toast and the grilled chicken salad sambo.

This place is home to one of the biggest cheeseburgers in northeast PA. I can't speak as to anything on this menu other than the cheeseburgers, simply because that is the only thing I ever had there for the many years I have coming there. The cheeseburger is super price friendly and about the size of the plate it sits on. After a bike ride, hike, or paddle along the Lehigh River area, there is no better meal than a "hubcap" cheeseburger at White Haven Family Diner!

Stopped for lunch - just not impressed, and kind of baffled by the reviews. Everything was OK, service OK, but nothing remarkable. Just cheep food.

This place was a breakfast oasis I found while staying in White Haven. Omelettes are HUGE. Very inexpensive. If your in the area and looking for a good meal served up fast, check 'em out.

Good lord this place is cheap!!!! $3.45 for eggs, toast, potatoes, and coffee!! Quite a perfect place for a small town, middle of America diner feel. Breakfast buffet on Sundays.

Stopped for lunch, salad and soup just mediocre. Kids liked the kids menu. It's fun to experience a classic diner in a cute town by the river...just wish the food was more fresh, higher quality. The waitress wasn't rude, but her attitude had us feeling conspicuously non-local.

Classic Americana diner with nothin but local flavor inside and out. I had the minestrone soup, delicious and the "today's special" was a chicken parm. It came on a kaiser roll and was delicious. And 4.95? Yes! My wife got the BLT and it was super fresh and the bread was perfect. All in, less than 30 bucks for six people. Can't say enough good things, it was like a step back in time. I'll be back next time I hit the Lehigh Gorge bike trail.

I was in White Haven overnight just to getaway from the city and I found this Diner on Yelp. Considering the reviews I decided to try it out and I must admit the food was good. It's a small space but I'm glad I did not let the outside appearance stop me from having breakfast there. Price was great as well.

What a greasy spoon this place is...I love it. Every time I am up in White Haven, I convince my folks to stop in here for breakfast. There is something about a old fashioned diner. Perhaps it is that everything is cooked in butter or that scrapple is a menu offering. Either way, the food is fresh and made to order, the servers are personable, and the environment is something out of a history book.

Amazing cheeseburger! The waitress said the secret is twice ground sirloin made fresh daily. Worth a detour off I-80. Open every day at 6 AM but beware: they close at 3PM, and they take only cash.

After a long day/evening of snowboarding, we spent the night in a nearby holiday inn express. Upon checkout, the front desk recommended going to white haven diner for some breakfast/brunch before going back to the slopes at Camelback. The diner itself was a typical suburban type diner that'd you'd expect. The food was a great value. Omelettes were well made and hit the spot. Potatoes were fried well and all sorts of deliciousness. Toast was semi-thick and had a glob of butter on each (what's not to love about butter?) Growing up on spam and eggs, I was pleasantly surprised to find scrapple being offered on the menu. While some will cringe at the thought of it, I will admit I am a fan. It's like spam's long lost cousin. I eagerly awaited my scrapple, having only heard of it at the time, wondering what it'd even look like, let alone taste like. It was prepared a little well done, but not burnt, which is exactly the way I like. A little bit softer on the inside, similar to a corned beef hash, with a great crisp on the outside. Perfection for a breakfast meat. The saltiness and the texture proved a perfect match for my omelette. White Haven is exactly what a diner should be. No frills, good, cheap food, with a homey feel. The only complaint was that the coffee was watered down. Other than that, I would recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for something good, filling, and cheap to eat.

$7.95 for Sunday buffet brunch?! Only in rural PA. :) This diner seems to be a must-stop for the kayakers readying to hit the river, and their buffet brunch will certainly provide enough fuel for a full active day! The buffet had the standard eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, cereal, waffles, etc. It wasn't anything fancy, but it sure was hearty!

Really good food for a diner. Wait staff are pleasant and quick. If your hungry try out their hamburgers. They are the size of the plate!

If you're driving through Pennsylvania on the I-80 or intercepting it via the 476 you should check out The Family Diner in White Haven. It's about a five minute detour south of exit 273. It's a standard looking diner that's open from 6am to 3pm 7days and has buffet breakfasts every Sunday. I opted for a menu breakfast. First I ordered the soup of the day which was string bean and ham. The two scrambled soft with bacon, ham and sausage, mini potato cakes and an english muffin with a coffee with regular milk to drink. The soup is superb. I never heard of string bean and ham soup so I knew I'd have to try. The string beans are obviously from a can. It's not the beans that make the soup it's the stock and the ham. The stock tastes like a ton of smoked ham shanks were allowed to simmer with water and some spices for weeks. The ham chunks are salty and have a nice hickory taste. There are also potatoes, thankfully they do not overwhelm the soup. No saltines or salt is needed for the soup. The eggs came out looking like a money shot. They were scrambled in the frying pan, which actually is the way I like them and cook them at home. They were soft and flavorful. The bacon is the standard re-heat, the ham is a nice thick steak the size of a dinner plate and is more salty than smoked. The sausages are good quality but deep fried which makes them tasty but a little to oily for my taste. The mini potato cakes are actually seasoned hash browns that are thumb size and good. The muffin was doughy. The coffee is good and the waitress gives a extra carafe so you can pour yourself seconds. The scrapple is supposed to be the best around, but I could never get myself to eat it. Scrapple and beef liver are my kryptonite, no matter how good the quality. The service is friendly and prompt. The restaurant is clean. In fact it has one of the cleanest bathrooms I have encountered in an American business. The booths are a bit tight, especially for some who is big boned like myself. I

Are you people crazy? What a total dump! I was so grossed out by the disgusting selections I didn't even order anything. My husband said the mashed potatoes were good. I sat in the booth longingly looking at mugshots across the street thinking that would've been a much better selection. And cash only? What is it 1920? Place was terrible

This is the only diner that I go to now. It is by far the best diner I have ever been too. If they ever changed I will burn the town to the ground. Get the burger or end your God danm life.
