Worst place ever. Didnt give me my toast. Didnt give me a drink. Food cold af. Fries burnt af. Yaz got his meal 20 mins late. This would never happen at galantes house. Overall a dusty establishment.

Old school diner with classics on menu. Service is always friendly and helpful. Chicken croquettes and meatloaf are family favorites. Wonderful baked good on display in front. Decent prices and open 24 hours a bonus. A few very good Greek items too.

West Chester diner is what you would expect from a local diner. It is open at all times, the food ranges from awesome to adequate depending on the dish. I started going recently because I was looking for a place to go late late at night and it fits my needs perfectly. The late night staff are friendly and fun to fool around with. I have no complaints.

This place is a major disappointment. The food is horrible, and the service is one of the worst we've ever had. It's dingy & dirty, sanitation alert a must. The food hardly ever tastes fresh and temperature is not right at all... I'm surprised nobody ever reported this establishment to the county health.

So my posse and I arrived extremely early in the morning (or perhaps very late at night) looking for food to end our night of fun. While I was extremely tired and had a productive night of partying, I was feeling good enough to order a grilled cheese. Now, I was not completely lucid (it was like 3 AM), but that grilled cheese was perfectly buttered. I was pleased with it, but the diner seemed like a pretty run-of-the-mill diner otherwise. The service seemed pretty bemused that anyone was in the diner at all at 3 AM, but they pretty much left us alone all night.

This place is a great good place to come to if you're craving some breakfast late at night, or when you need to get some food but are still wearing pajamas from the night before. In all seriousness, I love this place for their Greek omelette with wheat toast and the completely relaxed atmosphere. I've never ordered anything but an omelette from here but they've been great every time. I also like the owner, a very nice guy except for the time that he told my dad not to sit on a certain side of the booth because he was "too fat". It was actually pretty funny though.

Thanks to Yelp, ignorance is generally no longer an excuse. When a place has a number of legit reviews you get a good idea what to expect. Sometimes you are surprised in a good way, other times you experience the same issues others faced. This was one of those times optimism before arrival was killed by execution (or lack thereof) by the restaurant. As the second customer at 6AM, one would think - empty diner, should be good service. Right? WRONG! And since I am on my soap box, HOW in this day and age does a place that serves breakfast continue to serve coffee in mugs just slightly bigger than a shot glass? I can handle that if there is constant refilling being done. But service at this place SUCKED like others warned. And by the way, the grumpy waitress started right before we walked in so she hadn't been up all night and lack of sleep wasn't an issue. My lady ordered eggs and bacon. Bacon was crisp but cold. Eggs ok. I ordered an omelette that might not have been cooked enough. I'm not going to blame this place because I'm not sure 100% that this food got me but exactly 6 hours later I was running to find a bathroom (I'll spare details). It's breakfast. How does a diner NOT do that well? NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Bumping this up a star because it seems to be one of the ONLY places in or near West Chester that is open late on Sunday night. I had no idea in a town full of restaurants and college kids it would be so hard to find a place to get a simple un-fancy take-out hamburger at 9 pm on a Sunday. A lot of places close ridiculously early on that day, so the choices are pretty much West Chester Diner or Wendys drive through. Given that a meal at Wendys is running close to ten bucks nowadays, I am happy to spend the same amount at the WC Diner and get a much bigger and better West Chester Burger. I have my go-to choices at this place narrowed down to a few burgers and sandwiches and haven't gone wrong yet.

The service I received was deplorable, the waitress went out of her way to help and be cheerful to every table in the section excluding my table. I was neglected for a majority of my meal and often was shot dirty looks. I know that tensions are high right now because different race issues, but just because I am a little darker than those who were around me shouldn't make my dining experience subpar. The woman who was handling the register was cheery and talkative with every person in line excluding my girlfriend. She was very short during our dining experience. I severely under tipped my server because of the horrendous "service" I had received; I want to make this known and only hope that others don't experience the same alienation that I received at this establishment. I will be sure to never come back to this place again. Prejudice is still alive and it sad.

The West Chester Burger - 4 Stars Good quality burger. 6oz of beef with sautéed mushrooms, bacon and melted Jack cheese on a soft toasted bun. Doesn't need all the extras but it comes with onions rings, fries and slaw. I am not a french fry lover but theirs fries and onions rings were good and fresh

This diner has stepped it up and is very good! Very accommodating and good customer service. Very clean and ample seating not to mention parking. They also serve a partial halal menu now which is what brought us here and we couldn't have been more pleased. Just hoping they will continue to add halal menu specials, entrees, soups and appetizers, not to mention halal breakfast meats which will bring us here for breakfast lunch and dinner!! No need to go anywhere else. Thank u WC Diner!

Food was disgusting we git the breakfast buffet eggs tasted terrible the bacon was rubbery the hash browns were very greasy giant let down
(1)Oscar V.
Awesome staff, they accommodate in anything you need, they have a nice variety of great food and the place is always clean with a good presences!

Good food. But the tables at the booths are not level and are 2 degrees off at a downward slope, annoying!

It's a diner. There isn't really anything that makes this place stand out. The food is sub par in opinion. I've had the pancakes; I've had the baked goods and desserts. The case makes everything look good, don't let it tempt you the treats within are overpriced and undertastey. Nothing really stands out. And for the love of whatever deity you worship, Do not I REPEAT DO NOT ask for cheddar on your eggs Benedict. They will smother them in cheese whiz, it's not a fun experience. Beyond that its generally an OK place, full of mostly nice people, and the usual oldies and average joes. Would I recommend it: no. Will I go back?, maybe if I need a hangover cure, otherwise it's not really on my list of good things.

We had lunch here on Saturday afternoon. Service wasn't great, the waitress was kind of rushing us. We waited rather long periods of time for her to check on us, I hate when I eat out and my glass/coffee cup stays empty for unreasonable amounts of time. The food...well I wouldn't call it food, it was just something to eat. Why bother asking how you want your burger done, then bring it out overcooked and hard as a shoe? Slimy canned mushrooms - again, why bother? This was our first and last time paying for such bland "food" and marginal service. There's way too many truly great diners around, why settle for overpriced lousy food and moody staff?

My bother and I stopped in here early on Saturday morning after a night of bar hopping in West Chester. Beating the bar crowd we were seated right away by a surly little man and our waitress promptly appeared to take our drink order (cokes). I went with breakfast and ordered a couple of eggs over easy, home fries, corn beef hash on the side & toast. My brother had a turkey club w/ chips. We both agreed that each of our meals were great and the portions were on the spot. The price before the tip was $30.00. Maybe that's on par for in West Chester but I thought it was high. Will it keep me from going back, not at all.

Went with my family of four after a regal cinema movie late Friday night. Service and waitress were excellent. Food on the other hand was horrible! I like meatloaf and chicken croquettes. Asked waitress for recommendation.. she said meatloaf as chicken was small and crunchy,, ? Hmmm!! Meatloaf came out with gravy.. large portion... the meatloaf and gravy were almost black in color. Not sure what it tasted like but it wasn't meatloaf and it wasn't good. Guess I'm thankful I didn't go with the croquettes if the meatloaf was suppose to be better! For dessert I ordered a canoli. The pastry was rubbery and like wet cardboard. The cheese filling was dark yellow with a hard/semi frozen consistency. I took one bite and that was one more than I should have taken. I told the waitress that it just didn't taste right and it may not be fresh (being kind)... she said they sell a lot if them and they are made fresh every Saturday.... hello.. today is Friday!! After she took the canoli away... a few minutes later we noticed the manager/ owner? ..remove the entire tray of canolis from the display case. I'm assuming someone tried one after my complaint and realized they were bad? After arriving home my stomach was upset... as almost all others have said here....we will NOT be returning. To bad..it would be nice to have a good ole diner with good food in this area instead of chains and fast food.

Apparently this place is an institution, but I only made it there for the first time last weekend for breakfast around 10am on a Saturday. When we walked in, the first thing that greeted us was the buffet. Which, frankly, looked unappetizing, and my mom and I almost left the place- but then we realized we could also order off a menu, and we had heard good things, so we went for it. We got a table right away, and got a pretty big booth. The benches had seen better days. The ceiling had also seen better days- there were watermarks everywhere. The menus looked like they were 20 years old. Everything seemed worn down and old and tired and slightly dirty, and the clientele seemed a little rough around the edges (we sat behind 2 guys in wife beaters- in February- shouting about how their workouts and how much weight they've been trying to gain for even bigger muscles while eating at the buffet. One of them kept getting up and standing next to our table while still shouting at his friend, I guess to have gravity's help in digesting the large quantities of food he was shoving in. Unclear). The waitstaff was nice, but pretty typical of what you'd expect from a 24-hour diner. I ordered 2 eggs over easy with bacon, toast and home fries. My mom ordered the eggs benedict. We both ordered iced tea as well. The food came FAST. As in, within 5 minutes. I was suspicious but my eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was freaking amazing- nice and crispy- and I had absolutely no complaints about my food. My mom said her eggs benedict was great as well, and it looked pretty tasty, although I didn't try it. The meal came to about $18. When we left, it was getting pretty crowded. Overall, the food was tasty, our meal was quick and service was neutral-good. However, they could really do with a renovation- or at least replacing some of the more off-putting things like their ceiling and menus. Also, the buffet looked quite unappetizing, although I didn't try any of it, and it was also right next to the front door, which is a bit weird. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for breakfast in the area, though! Their cakes and bakery goodies looked awesome, but we didn't try any- next time!

First time here since I was in college. Food was average, but in college it seemed like 5 star dining. There are much better places to go to in WC.
(2)David P.
Food ok, plentiful, prices very reasonable, service ok...not the cleanest place

A West Chester tradition; open 25 hours a day.

Sometimes, you just need a quick no-frills meal, prepared with a little more care than what comes out of a drive-thru window. There's nothing special about the food, but they're always open, the prices are reasonable, and the waitresses take good care of you.

Looks ( and price) can be deceiving, so if you decided to go to West Chester diner...DON'T get the buffet! Just order something fresh from the kitchen. Even getting there fairly early (it was around 10am) the food tasted like it had been sitting out for a bit. I am usually a fan of buffets, but maybe keeping eggs out in a massive pile isn't such a good idea ( to eat). They had sausage, scrapple, and grits with bacon in it as well, but I didn't try any because I didn't want to die from disgust. The only reason I would come back is because I had remembered a long time ago, I got a piece of blueberry pie from here and it was amazing. Next time I will get the same and see if its still worth giving this place another shot. Check out my photos and more detailed review on my food blog! website is on my profile! :D

Atmosphere- It's a diner, but a cute one. Huge TVs. Food- I've eaten here several times, and I've enjoyed all of my fare. The banana walnut pancakes are delicious, as is the eggs benedict. I've never tried the buffet, but it doesn't look awesome. Great cheesecake, though! Price- Excellent. My friend's little sister boasted to haveing a $4.00 dinner and she loved it (egg salad sandwich and chips). Overall- It's a diner, and if you come in expecting diner food you will be delighted. It's tasty, cheap, and quick. What's not to love?!

We go in here late at night and on a regular basis. Sometimes we are literally rolling 30+ people deep, and they never seem to care. For that reason alone, this place gets a perfect score. Also, the fries are amazing.

I ate there for a quick breakfast one morning. I drove out of my way to get there actually- and should have saved the gas! I remember eating there as a treat with my kids after going to the pediatrician up the street. I even took my sister there on a visit a few years ago. I haven't been there in awhile, and I had very nice memories. I got a mediteranean omelet- which was okay, not great. I ordered a side of bacon- 2.99 for a side. 4 slices of dried, overcooked and flavorless bacon. I wasn't expecting a lot of bacon, but I was expecting edible bacon. It tasted pre cooked, and then microwaved. And cheap. The prices had gone up, and I know costs have as well so that was fine, but the food wasn't as good. The coffee wasn't very good- and I always look for a diner to have good coffee... the service was fine, not bad, not exceptional. I felt crowded in. Honestly, I just wouldn't go back again, even if I was in the area. I am sad that it has gone from a good breakfast place to a so so.

Me and a few friends frequent this Diner usually on Sunday mornings (or afternoons!) after a hard night of drinking on Saturday. Nothing like rolling out of bed at 1pm and rolling in to the West Chester Diner. The food (off the menu at least, I've never had the buffet) is better then most diners, and the service has always been on par or better then most diners. The waitresses at this point know our orders and bring the giant pot of coffee before we even ask. My only complaint is the cost is higher then most diners that I'm used to, but everything is more expensive in this area so it's to be expected.
