Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Ate here today and had cheese pizza and a Caesar salad. Pizza was just satisfactory, but salad was another story. First salad came out drenched in dressing - so much so that the lettuce was limp. After speaking to the friendly waitress she offered to get me a fresh salad with dressing on the side. New salad came out - just lettuce, powdered cheese and croutons. Something just tasted weird - not sure if it was the cheese or what, but I didn't even eat it. Probably won't go back.

New prices in the computer system and you didn't receive the new menu's yet??? Then you have the nerve to argue about 2 dollars with a mom who has her daugter with her... What kind of a piece of sh*t business person charges people more than what's written on a menu??? I hope everyone in the area boycotts your restaurant. How do you sleep at night taking advantage of hardworking women and their children? You sure are a peddler, you crook! Wish I could give 0 stars....

Really disappointed with the Stromboli. We ordered an Italian one a couple weeks ago which was delicious...went back for the vegetable Stromboli this time and it's awful. The mushrooms are obviously the slimy canned kind, and the broccoli and spinach are soggy and metallic tasting (possibly from being frozen?). Also, we ordered sauce on the side, picked up and brought it home before realizing there was no sauce. I expected better than canned/frozen vegetables after our great Italian Stromboli last time!

Absolutely the worst stromboli I've ever tried to eat! I may be spoiled having eaten New Haven's first, but there is no excuse for Peddler's crust. They do have awesome BBQ Chic pizza though...

I cannot live without pizza peddler because of their wing zings!!! I would have given them 5 stars but took a star away because of the service when I call for delivery. I find it odd that they always ask about tip. Tip is left on the receipt when you sign the receipt given the food is delivered in a timely fashion and the order is correct right? So I find it rude that they ask for that when placing an order... I'm sure they have a reason for it but still. Unprofessional. The rest of the menu... You're on your own. Hit or miss and usually I'm disappointed by the sandwiches and salads. Stick to the wing zings!!

Great service, great food. I utilized their services for catering recently and got great reviews from everyone that ate the food.

Strike 2, they're out. We ordered a large plain pizza and yet again, it's plain lousy. Asked for extra sauce and well done this because the last time we ordered, it was dry. Crust is too thick and filling. Yuck. (Sorry guys.) The owners and staff are wonderful but, the pizza is just...bad. *Their pizza steaks are amazing though---IF you dine in!

Worse pizza ever and service was rude. Watched the one cook prep raw chicken rifht next to the precooked pizza that was just sitting under heat lamps. There were also flies everywhere. Gross I am never eating there ever again.

This is going to be a strange review for me as I've never quite reviewed a meal that I liked less and less as I ate it. For starters my brother and I were out last Friday night on the way to West Chester to catch a band. We stopped here under the recommendation of a co-worker. He had been here once before and said it was pretty good. The staff was more than accommodating with several people taking care of us at the table keeping the drinks full and coming by to check on us. We immediately ordered a Large Pepperoni pie and it was delivered about 10-12 minutes later, pipping hot. The pizza looked great. The dough was obviously fresh and had a good texture to it on the sides. We were starving and the first slice was delicious. The sauce had a sweet side to it, the cheese and pepperoni were also good. The crust kinda reminded me of an Uno's crust when it's properly cooked. It wasn't deep dish, but it had a certain flakiness to it that I liked. So what went wrong, I'm not sure. It's nothing that the staff did, it was the meal. The more I ate, the less I liked it. After 3 slices I was done. Not because I was full, but just because I couldn't eat another bite of that pizza. I didn't want to taste it again. Without mentioning it to my brother before hand, he said exactly the same thing. Go figure. So we wrapped it up and we left. The end. I doubt I'll visit again.

Following a recent move I got a "welcome to the neighborhood" coupon for a free 12 inch cheese pizza from Pizza Peddler, so I decided to drive down 322/ 202 and check it out. Although it's only about 4 miles from my local address in downtown West Chester, there's a plethora of pizza places in that area (not surprising in a college town) and the 4-mile stretch of road gets quite congested, especially around the junction of 202 and 926 where Pizza Peddler is located. So this is more a pizza joint for the suburbanites of Westtown Township. It's set far back in a half-empty shopping plaza (that is likewise tricky to get into due to lane dividers and such) so I give them credit for doing a little promotion, otherwise I probably wouldn't have noticed them. Although I got my pizza to go, they have a big diner-type sit-down eating space, good for taking the kids to dinner or the office crowd to an inexpensive lunch. At 5 pm on a weekday it was dead empty in there but I imagine it fills up more on weekends. I expected them to try to upsell me something for money along with the free pizza, like ask if I wanted to buy any Cokes or sides to go with it. But I didn't get any of that, I just gave them the coupon, they handed me the 'za, and right, then, on my way. Very kind of them. The pizza was hot when I got it and stayed hot for the whole 4 mile drive back to my house and continued to be hot through at least the first three slices. This alone is worth a star because it obviously hadn't been sitting around under the heat lamp before it was placed in my hand, and I have been to other places where I was given cold half-raw doughy pizzas that didn't even sustain their small amount of body heat for a 1/2 mile drive let alone 4. The pizza tasted decent, although the sauce was a little sweeter than I like and the crust was a little thicker and doughier than I prefer (when the cheese comes loose from the underlying crust then the crust is too thick). It was still better than Uno's or heaven forbid Papa John's, and did not taste like mall pizza either. It was also nice and greasy rather than dry, and they did not skimp on the cheese. And as much as I liked getting the pizza piping hot, it seemed like the pizza texture improved a bit after it started to cool down - the slices solidified into more of a unitary whole, rather than a piece of hot bread with some melty cheese skating on red sauce on top. To sum up, this is a serviceable low-priced pizza establishment that also serves other things like wings and hoagies (though I tend not to order foods other than pizza in a shop with "pizza" in the title, just like I don't order pizza at a place with the words "hoagie," "sub" or "deli" in the title). Not sure if I would make a special trip out here to get the pizza given that there are at least three other pizza joints within a couple blocks of my house, but if I were in the neighborhood I might eat at Pizza Peddler again, and would consider ordering from there if I needed 10 basic pizzas for work or taking a group out to eat on a budget.

Was in the suburbs this weekend and craving pizza. A friend from the area recommended pizza peddler and I am so glad they did! First, the staff was welcoming and accommodating (we were a large group with some picky eaters). Second, the pizza was just what I was looking for: hot, delicious crispy crust, flavorful sauce and the perfect amount of cheese. Others in the party ordered cheese steaks and hoagies and everything was fresh and made to order. Will definitely be back here next time I am in the neighborhood!

For years now, my boyfriend Matt has lived down the street from Pizza Peddler, so whenever we're craving a mushroom-and-spinach pie (pretty much every week), we call up Pizza Peddler. They've delivered to Matt's house so often that the delivery boy knows the gate combo by heart -- and I'm willing to bet they're number 1 in his speed dial. Nevertheless, there's nothing particularly special about their food...the pizza is uber greasy, and often requires half a roll of paper-towels to blot it to an acceptable eating level. The Peddler's Deluxe breakfast sandwich (egg, bacon, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, cheese) is a steal at $4.50, but can sometimes lead to very unpleasant bathroom trips. The same goes for the Peddler Fries -- what tastes like an orgasm when I put it into my mouth (mozzarella, cheddar, ranch dressing and bacon....oh yesss!) sometimes leaves me feeling a bit queasy 20 minutes later. To sum it up: PP is greasy, cheap food -- but not for the faint of heart. If you're in the neighborhood, stop on by (or get it delivered!); otherwise, don't bother.
